HYBE LABELS JAPAN’s first global boy group audition program, “&AUDITION - The Howling -.” For this project, there are 11 trainees and four members of the debut group from I-LAND, K, NICHOLAS, EJ, TAKI. Their story begins as the debut group meets the trainees. As excitement builds over their first meeting, they are given their very first mission, the group signal song mission! Written especially for the show, the boys must practice the signal song, “The Final Countdown,” and be evaluated by the producers. As they practice hard, they face hardship and adversity. But they pull together and gradually become one team! Then on the day of the performance, a surprising evaluation method is announced! What will be the fate of the debut group and the trainees?

1x2 - Episode 2

July 15, 2022

The boys must collect &BALLs and fill up the &RING in order to reach the final round. If they fail, the four members of the debut group and the 11 trainees will lose their chance to debut! The audition process is announced at the same time as the mission. Will the 15 boys be able to fill up the &RING and advance to the final round? The second mission is the concept mission! The songs for the mission are revealed, and the four teams throw themselves into practice. EJ’s team is the first to perform, but they had received a disappointing result in their performance and vocal evaluation during the interim check. EJ feels that he lacks leadership skills, but instead of feeling down, he plans a surprise event for his teammates to boost their morale. Will EJ’s team be able to pull off a successful performance?

After the first group signal song mission, the four members of the debut group, K, NICHOLAS, EJ, and TAKI, each become team leaders for the concept mission! Each team is given a song of different styles, and the 15 boys pour their heart and soul into practice! K’s team is the second to go up on stage following EJ’s team. JUNWON, who had received a good assessment during the interim check, is unable to participate and Team K meets a hurdle. Then NICHOLAS’s team with their powerful performance and TAKI’s team going barefoot for a beautiful performance go up on stage in turn. How many &BALLs will they receive? And SEVENTEEN makes an appearance on “&AUDITION - The Howling -.” What could they be doing here?

After the mission for Round 3 is revealed, the 15 boys from the debut group and the trainee group get together in their teams to practice. They must pick a leader and choose a team name… Which team chooses an unexpected member to be their leader? Also, the members of Team CALL CALL CALL all speak different languages. How will they work together? Then one day, for the 15 boys who are exhausted from practicing every day, SEVENTEEN shows up to give a special mission. There will be a “variety contest” to give them a chance to earn additional &BALLs. That night, as the boys open up to each other, talking about what has been on their minds, the 15 receive a message from afar and end up in tears. What could possibly have happened?

The day of Round 3 performances. The stage is much bigger than what the members were used to during practice, and the three teams are thrown off during the rehearsal. Will they be able to perform their choreography to the best of their ability? Also, the 15 members check on the current status of the &RING. They learn that in Round 3, the number of &BALLS they receive will be announced right after each performance as everyone looks on. Team C Riders pour everything into their performance that their legs almost give out, while JO of Team Full Count breaks down in tears after their performance. Meanwhile, K of Team Wangwang receives tough criticism from the producers for the first time. Will the 15 be able to fill up the &RING and debut?

1x6 - Episode 6

August 12, 2022

How much of the &RING has been filled up after Round 3? And what will be the mission for Round 4? In the meantime, a surprise mission is suddenly announced. Only the winning team will receive benefits. The 15 go all out to carry out the mission. Also, TOMORROW X TOGETHER has come to “&AUDITION – The Howling-“! They have a delicious meal together and a cheerful chat. They even show off some dance moves with the trainees! During the interim check for Round 4, YUMA ends up in tears after a harsh evaluation from the producers. Later, everyone falls into despair after hearing a shocking announcement. What has happened to the 15? On the day of performances, BTS sends a special message! What is the message that moved the 15?

Their last chance to get &BALLs to advance to the final round. The main performances for Round 4 begin! If they don't get enough &BALLs in this round, everyone's debut is canceled! The 15 members work together under pressure to practice for the main performances. Unlike previous missions, they must prepare two stages, one for vocals and one for performance. Will the 15 members be able to fill up the &RING and make it to the final round together? Their last journey towards the final round begins.
