Cameras also follow Dave, who supports his family with a variety of jobs, and scrimping pensioners Mo and Peggy, who flit between Benidorm and Bournemouth according to the weather.

Meanwhile, a bad break-up for 21-year-old Ben, who runs the resort's only British-owned mobility scooter business, prompts his dad Mick to fly in to provide some much-needed perspective. Plus, the show provides an insight into the world of twin sisters Catherine and Patricia, expert scrimpers who keep meticulous records of their expenditure, once managing to drop their weekly outlay to just one euro.
