Battle for Ozzfest (2004)
Battle for Ozzfest is a reality TV show that aired during autumn 2004 on MTV, where eight bands 'battle' it out in a series of challenges to win a spot on the stage of the metal festival Ozzfest, which is a primarily heavy metal-subgenre based music festival. The series lasted 12 episodes, the winner being decided by online voters.

1x1 - The Battle for Ozzfest Begins

In the first episode, one member from each band will be selected to represent his or her band mates on tour in a set of challenges that could make rock and roll dreams become Ozzfest nightmares. With a motley crew of rock & roll characters all living on the same bus and fighting for the same dream, anything can happen--especially when your bosses are Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Slayer, Slipknot and Hatebreed, among others.
1x2 - Life On The Road
November 1, 2004
All eight of the finalists arrive at the Osbourne mansion, and get to meet Sharon and Ozzy themselves! Big Dave gets the roadies adjusted to the bus and all the rules, and afterwords, allow them to meet Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed. They walk around the Ozzfest grounds, and listen to Black Sabbath perform. Earlier, Big Dave said their curfew was 11 PM. They arrive back at where the bus is at 10 PM, but the bus is missing. They search everywhere, but can not find it. Will the eight of them be stranded at the first stop on the Ozzfest tour?
1x3 - Dirty Laundry & Dirty Deeds

The eight roadies spice up laundry duty after getting left behind. When they catch up with the bus, a day of work assigned by Big Dave is ahead of them. In the end, they are all forced to vote a band member off the bus, but it's Ozzy and Sharon's decision in the end!

The crew are told they must bite the heads off of live bats; Sharon and Ozzy make the first elimination.

The competitors must write a song in 24 hours; Rob Halford of Judas Priest judges the songs.

The cast is interrogated for impersonating Slip Knot.

After Ozzy pulls a prank, someone ends up in the emergency room.
1x8 - Brittany's Final Day

After a day of promoting Dimmu Borgir's Norwegian death metal, the partying gets out of control. The finalists then try to sell their own bands merchandise to some Ozzfest fans. But, no matter how hard they try, someone will still have to go home.
1x9 - Playing With the Big Dogs
December 20, 2004
The episode starts with Ahmad arguing when Big Dave sees that he shaved his hair. Then, the finalists are told that they are going to be performing with Ozzfest bands, while at dinner with Ozzy and Sharon at Ozzy's hotel room. But, Chelsea may have a problem since she is assigned to play bass with Bleeding Through, but she has only been playing bass for about a month and a half.
1x10 - Dude, Get Off My Bus!
December 27, 2004
The mission: Keep up while performing with Black Sabbath vet Bill Ward and survive the Village of the Damned for one night or get out. Two of the roadies will be voted off after all their troubles.

The three finalists are reunited with their bands and have one day to prepare to perform one song on main stage Ozzfest. But in the end, only two bands will remain.
