Pal Feng-tien is accused of killing the Chiefs of the Shaolin, Wu Tang, 0-mei and Hua Shan clans. Offering the four clans' kung fu as the bait, Chi Pu-fan orders the various clans to pursue and kill the Pai family. The Pai's family of 5 scatters and flees. In their desperation, Yu-ying remembers how her father moved out mysteriously and becomes shaken in her conviction of his innocence. Suspected by his own children. Feng-tien tries to make them believe him, but fails to give details. When Chan-wu is unconvinced, he tells them how the incident happened.
