This thaws the iron curtain separating them. KIT becomes a famous merchant, being KWUNG's son-in-law. He is aggressive but this is stopped by KWUNG who is more traditional-minded. He feels upset. CHUNG YI makes use of KIT to fulfill his task. He wants to swallow KWUNG's business. LIN FONG suspects KIT as she finds him going out frequently and spending huge sum of money. His boss wanted to set him free by bribing the police-captain. He agreed to arrange his escape by manipulating a traffic accident. However another team of policemen arrived. KAU and KWUNG are hurt in a traffic accident. KAU suffers serious injury and KWUNG feels guilty. He send KAU overseas for treatment and makes him his son and inherit his fortune. This arouses suspicion in her mind. KIT argues with his wife. He rushes out of his house and meets YAN YAN in the street, YAN YAN returns because BRIAN has disclosed his real face after his bankruptcy. YAN YAN cannot further her studies and returns. After so many problems, YAN YAN finally understands that KAU is the one deserves her love. However she is ashamed of her former decision. KAU does not mind and begs for her love. YAN YAN is deeply touched and turns back to him. KIT suggests divorce with LIN FONG as he has got what he needs. This is a terrible shock to LIN FONG. KIT incidentally discovers that KWUNG is CHEUNG FAT. He blackmails KWUNG, getting shares of his company. KWUNG thinks that WAI has betrayed him. He wants to compromise with WAI. This makes WAI suspect him. Therefore WAI goes to the police and be the witness. This causes trouble and LT HO is hurt in a gang fight. He is sent to hospital.
