In 1996 in the Philippines, Hong Konger CHAI FOON-CHONG is leading a down and out life. He meets CHOW FOOK-WING, who is also from Hong Kong and who is also alone here, by chance. The kindhearted WING puts him up in his place. He even pays off CHONG’s gambling debts from time to time, hoping that he can one day regain his confidence. Six years have passed, but CHONG has not really changed. He gambles away ten thousand US dollars of WING’s. Just as CHONG wants to run away from WING’s questioning, he finds that someone has taken WING away. CHONG bumps into KIU CHING-CHO, his opponent in the International Poker Tournament ten years ago, when he is looking for WING. To his surprise, the ten thousand dollars actually belong to CHO. To save WING, CHONG gives his passport to CHO, who promises to give it back to him when his debt is cleared. It turns out that it is a ploy of WING and CHO to help CHONG pull himself together……

WING asks CHONG to return to Hong Kong to see his parents. CHO knows that CHONG is ashamed to see his parents because he had lost his younger brother twenty years ago. CHO comes up with the idea of betting on WAN with CHONG to motivate him to go back to Hong Kong. Luck has been on WAN’s side and she has won a lot of money. WING and MEI encourage her to go back to Hong Kong. CHO asks MEI to take WAN to the airport. WAN thinks CHO is a good boss, not knowing that he is actually using her to bet with CHONG. While CHO is sending WAN away, CHONG uses a trick to make WAN return to the casino. A man with the name of YUNG CHI-WAI has won a huge sum. Even CHONG fails to affect him with his bad luck. WAI is found cheating. CHONG finds a few men suspicious. He follows them but is attacked. He faints. WAN has lost all her money. She sells her mobile phone so that she will have the money to buy a ticket to go back to Hong Kong……

CHONG is saved by some police officers. CHONG buys WAN’s mobile phone so that she has the money to gamble again. CHONG decides to return to Hong Kong. WAN is in a blackout at the casino. WING takes her to the treatment room. As a matter of fact, WAN was exhausted and fell into sleep only. CHO sends WAN back to Hong Kong with CHONG. CHONG returns to where he lived, only to find that it has become a commercial building. Coveting the ten-odd thousand dollars that CHONG has bought along with him, WAN invites him to stay at her spare apartment, where reclusive young man CHEUNG LAI-FU also lives. On hearing WAN has lost her parents in an accident when she was small, CHONG determines to look for his. CHONG runs into an old neighbor of his. His neighbor tells him that his parents have already died. CHONG cries his heart out.

According to his neighbor, his parents had found out that their youngest son had returned to Hong Kong from the States with someone. CHONG stumbles over the bottle FU uses to store his urine. CHONG flies into a rage while FU seems to be paying no attention to him. Furious, CHONG throws away all of FU’s belongings. FU rushes to the rubbish dump to look for his things, among which is a deck of cards, on which is a photo of CHONG’s younger brother as a child. Living under the same roof, yet neither CHONG nor FU knows that they are brothers. FU revenges on CHONG by turning off the water when he is taking a shower. He also sticks the keyhole of the door with glue so that CHONG cannot enter the apartment. In anger, CHONG calls FU parasite. FU is missing. WAN looks for him with CHONG and tells him the pathetic life experience of FU. WAN takes some counterfeits to Mainland China for trading. CHONG and FU help her deliver the goods……

WING has also arrived in Hong Kong. He wants CHONG to stop CHO from a gambling duel with SUNG CHING, who has once killed his opponent. The first thing CHO does when he arrives in Hong Kong is to visit his mother, who has gone insane due to gambling and now lives in an old people’s home. CHONG visits CHO at his hotel. But instead of discouraging him, he discusses with CHO about how to beat CHING. WING can do nothing but to devise his own ploy. However, CHO sees through him and locks him up in the washroom of the hotel room. CHONG accompanies CHO to his duel with CHING, who defeated CHONG twenty years ago right after his brother had gone missing. Based on a photo of CHONG’s younger brother as a child, WAN’s uncle generates a photo of how he should look like today with computer software. WAN’s aunt asks her to go on a blind date. WAN finds out that her date does not turn out to be as good as she expected……

WAN has found FU a job at a restaurant. The captain of the restaurant does not value FU. FU uncovers the captain’s cheating in a card game. The captain complains to WAN. WAN, who does not know the whole story, gives FU a good dressing-down. FU runs away from home again. CHONG has done everything he can to help FU stand up again but his effort proves futile. CHONG vents his anger on FU’s belongings. He finds the deck of cards he had given to his younger brother as a child. CHONG wants to reunite with FU but FU is missing again. YING, a good friend of WAN’s, puts up in her place to hide from her creditor. YING lures WAN into going to Macau to gamble with her. CHONG has been looking everywhere for FU but FU is nowhere to be found. CHO finds FU at last. He takes FU to buy some new clothes. FU feels that CHO is the only person in the world that truly understands him. CHONG meets with his brother……

CHONG confides in WAN that he does not know how to reveal the truth to FU. He requests WAN and CHO to keep his relationship with FU a secret. CHONG prepares a big meal to celebrate his reunion with FU. To his huge disappointment, FU brings the food back to his room to eat. CHONG is in a very good mood. He buys the same T-shirt for FU and himself and takes him to visit their parents’ spirit tablets. YUNG HON-CHEONG introduces KIKI to CHO. KIKI is very fond of CHO. WAN comes across CHO, who is being pestered by KIKI. She steps up to help him out. FU finds CHONG’s concern for him annoying. WING’s buying underpants for CHONG makes FU believe that CHONG is harboring evil intentions towards him. YING is being harassed by loan sharks, but she manages to make her husband pay off her debt. YING and WAN discover that FU has extraordinary memory. They take FU to Macau. FU’s wining has aroused the suspicion of the casino……

CHO asks FU to memorize cards. FU is so nervous that he fails. WAN, FU and YING are released and are allowed to take back their money. CHONG scolds WAN for taking FU to Macau again. WAN is very guilty. CHONG wants FU to go back to school. WAN finds him a place at a secondary school. FU spends the money CHONG gave him for stationery on buying cards. WAN and YING run into gambling debt again. WAN takes shelter in CHONG’s place. Her family members ask CHONG to look for her. When CHONG and WAN return to her place, they are shocked to see that the door of her apartment has been painted with words of threat. For fear that her family will tell her off, CHONG takes the blame for her. WAN finds that her family has paid back the money to CHONG. WAN is terribly sorry and cries in CHONG’s arms. YING takes FU to an illegal casino to gamble. Both of them are arrested……

In order to stop FU from playing cards again, CHONG challenges FU to a duel. WING is the witness. With the help of high-tech glasses, CHONG beats FU. FU cannot accept the fact that he has lost. He is very upset. He believes he suffers from Early Psychosis. CHONG decides to move to Beijing with FU. On one hand, WING asks CHONG to think twice. On the other, he gives CHONG a handsome amount of money, to which CHONG refuses to take. Before he leaves for Beijing, CHONG takes WAN to a program that helps gambling addicts to quit the habit. WAN does not appreciate it and finds the program boring. FU says he does not want to leave with someone who is not his family. CHONG is struck dumb. FU runs away from home. Inspired by an old man at a park, FU realizes that talent alone won’t make one successful. He asks CHO to take him apprentice. CHO asks CHONG to take FU home……

FU goes to the Philippines with CHO. WING shows him around. They meet TAM CHU-MEI, one of the contestants of the beauty pageant held by the casino. FU falls for her beauty in a big way. MEI is tricked by other contestants, making her chest pads fall out of her swimsuit. MEI wants to go for a breast enlargement surgery. She asks her father for money but fails. At the interview for dealers, FU is so nervous that he can’t even introduce himself. CHONG calls and asks CHO to take care of FU. In return, CHO asks him to help WAN, who has recently taken over the second-hand shop of YING’s husband. WAN appreciates CHO even more. MEI sells his father’s sculpture without his permission to gather money for the breast enlargement surgery. MEI is nervous about the surgery. She asks FU to go with her. MEI teaches FU how to calm himself down during the interview. FU is confident about himself again……

CHONG persuades WAN to leave the casino. He teaches her to divert her attention to other things. So WAN tells him that she would like to fly in a light aircraft. However, CHONG turns down her request for he is afraid of height. Alternatively, he takes her to an amusement park and to watch the stars. However, the stars turn into gambling tools in her eyes. There are cardsharps at CHO’s casino. CHO asks CHONG for help. However, another group of cardsharps appears. Later, the man behind the cardsharps, KO MING, invites CHO to join him in cheating the casino. CHO refuses his invitation. On the way to the flying field, CHONG and CHO find out at last how WAN became a gambling addict. On the plane, WAN cannot control herself and kisses CHO. At the day of the beauty pageant, the other contestants play a trick on MEI again, making her topless in front of the audience. MEI cries bitterly at the stairs……

WAN cannot controls herself anymore and sleeps with CHO. WAN cooks a dish of pomegranate chicken for CHO to eat at the casino. WAI disguises himself and sneaks into the casino. CHEONG did not know until then that his son has been messing around at the casino. CHO, CHEONG and WAI return to CHO’s office, where WAN is hiding. WAI teases CHO for mixing personal matters with business. CHO is embarrassed. CHEONG requests CHO to put WAI in the dealer-training course so that he can learn how a casino is run. CHO proposes a break up leaves WAN in anger. LAM SIU-YAN, CHONG’s girlfriend in the past, apologizes to CHONG. CHONG realizes then that CHO was the man who kidnapped his younger brother. CHONG goes to CHO for an explanation; the latter admits frankly. CHONG flies into a rage. He asks FU to leave the Philippines with him but FU refuses to go back to Hong Kong. Finding it hard to explain to FU, CHONG leaves on his own……

WAI is late the first day of the course. CHO, CEO of the casino, demands him to leave immediately. CHO is brooding over CHONG when WAN calls. WAN tells him her childhood story to cheer him up. The two spend the whole night talking on the phone. CHO goes to Hong Kong on business. He goes to see WAN. WAN shows him around. CHO decides to go back to WAN. The next day, a lady comes and takes WAN to a high-class restaurant. WAN thinks that CHO is giving her a surprise. It turns out that it is a ploy of MING to force him to gamble with three experts. If he cannot beat the three experts in an hour, WAN’s life will be in danger. CHO has no choice but to accept the challenge. It takes CHO half an hour to beat one of the opponents at the beginning. CHO becomes anxious. The rest join hands in fighting CHO. Time is pressing. CHO has to do all he can to win.

CHO wins. MING plays the disk that records his cheating. CHO realizes then that he has been set up. CHO breaks up with WAN. This comes as a bolt from the blue to WAN. CHO tells her about his betting on her with CHONG. WAN goes to CHONG for confirmation, who responds that it was only a joke. WAN loses control of herself. She vents her anger by colliding with another car. WING tells CHONG CHO has a car accident and is in hospital now. CHONG visits CHO in the hospital. As soon as he sees CHO, CHONG points out that his intuition tells him that CHO is facing with problems he cannot solve. CHO tells CHONG that he is the person who understands him most. WAI fools around at class all the time. He even asks his course mates to skip class and have fun with him. CHO passes by their classroom, inside which are MEI and FU only. CHO gives FU some words of encouragement. CHONG is delivering some flowers to a customer……

WAI and other classmates who skipped class the other day receive letters of warning. They believe that FU was the informer. MEI mistakenly thinks that WAI has feelings for her but WAI only gets close to her to ask her to put some sleeping pills in FU’s drink. FU oversleeps and is late for class. He doesn’t give the name of WAI’s, making WAI change his view on him. CHO gets back the disk of his cheating in the duel. He plans to line up with a Taiwanese Triad member to deal with MING, but MING does so before he has a chance to. MING reveals to CHO that his buying of the evidence of his guilt is also a set up. To this stage, CHO has no choice but to cooperate with MING. MING wants to plant an insider at the casino, but CHEONG has already assigned CHONG to the post. CHO is vexed. MEI is caught cheating in the exam. Just when WAI and his gangs think that their cheatings succeed, they are caught by PANG……

WAN loses her interest in gambling because of CHO’s words. CHONG manages to persuade her to return to Hong Kong at last. PANG fires all the trainee dealers. FU cannot take this and becomes a recluse again. CHONG gives WAI a good dressing down. WAI apologizes to CHEONG. Seeing his son’s change, CHEONG asks CHO to give WAI and other trainees one more chance. CHO agrees unwillingly. FU goes to MEI’s place to help her with the preparation of the second exam. Looking at her family, FU thinks of his sorrowful past. MEI gives him some words of consolation. FU teaches MEI to symbolize the numbers in memorizing. Both of them pass the exam and become dealers. WAI reveals to MEI that it was CHONG who stood up for FU the other day. Because of this, MEI is sure that CHONG is homosexual. FU tries hard to avoid CHONG. GRANNY HO calls and tells CHONG that WAN has gone missing. WAN is found hiding in the closet later……

WAN borrows money from CHONG to pay for a photography course. CHONG feels that she has finally got over CHO. Feeling relieved, he returns to the Philippines. MEI sees FU and CHONG using a pair of “Lovers’ mugs” and deduces that they are lovers. FU is speechless. FU is puzzled over whether he has fallen for CHONG. He calls WAN for advice. WAN misunderstands what he means and shows him her support. FU suspects that the cards have been swapped. He tells his supervisor his suspicion, but is told off instead. FU tells CHONG about this. CHONG believes there are cardsharps at the casino. MING sends someone to kill CHONG. Fortunately, CHO comes to his rescue in time. CHONG tells CHEONG that the security system of the casino is not advanced enough. CHEONG decides to update the security system, making things difficult for CHO. CHO tells CHONG that a casino in Macau is looking for Control Manager……

CHONG discovers that there is something unusual about the behavior of a certain few customers and dealers. He reports to CHO that there are cardsharps. MING has suffered a great loss in investment. He asks CHO to break into the vault of the casino. When CHONG is going to tell CHO that CHUNG is the insider, he finds that CHO and CHUNG are in fact accomplices. Making use of the latest technology, CHONG has collected the evidence of CHUNG and CHU’s betrayal of the casino. CHO is astonished. CHONG hopes that CHO would turn himself in, but CHO confesses that he doesn’t want to lose what he has got now. CHONG gives CHO one day to think over his suggestion. WAN is going to roam around the world. CHONG doesn’t want her to worry so doesn’t tell her about CHO. The next day, CHONG is distressed that CHO shows no repentance. CHONG decides to turn CHO in. CHO tells MING to move on with their plan……

CHUNG fears that CHONG has already got the evidence of his guilt. He requests MING to kill CHONG. MING sends his men to give CHONG a severe beating then take him to the high seas. CHO volunteers to do the beating up. He throws CHONG into the sea. WING and FU think that CHONG is hiding away from the police, so they look everywhere for him. CHO feels sorry for what he has done to CHONG. As compensation, he moves FU out of the card room. Knowing that MEI wants to date WAI, FU asks WAI out on her behalf. WAI demands a game with FU. If FU wins, he will go out with MEI. FU wins a landslide victory. This is the first time CHO learns about FU’s superb memory. CHO has dreamt of himself being abandoned by everyone very frequently lately. CHO wants to take FU apprentice. FU is excited and agrees almost instantly. CHO gambles with FU so as to test his ability……

MEI mistakenly thinks that WAI is going out with her alone. His course mates force her to show WAI how she became topless in the beauty pageant. MEI leaves in tears. MING and CHO dine with a MR. CHAN. CHAN is taking part in a charity poker championship. CHO learns by chance that MING plans to discontinue his cooperation with CHAN. CHO teams up with CHAN in order to strike MING back. As a way to train FU how to hide his inner feelings, CHO takes FU to the street to practice deception. FU, who fails, runs away from CHO. Thanks to the help of FU, WAI finally shows interest in MEI. FU realizes that MEI is a very experienced liar. WAN is visiting children with illness in Mainland China. It takes her by surprise to see CHONG there. CHONG asks her to help him return to the Philippines……

The seasickness pills WAN gives CHONG are in fact sleeping pills. The next thing he knows, he is in Hong Kong. WAN picks CHONG up, only to be scolded at. WAN cannot control herself anymore and breaks down. CHONG makes self-examination. CHONG has once written YAN’s phone number on a coaster. He asks WAN to return to the Philippines to look for it. He also asks WAN to stop FU from taking part in the poker tournament. As expected by MEI, WAI requests MEI to be his girlfriend. On one hand MEI is trilled, on the other she asks FU to give her company when she is going out with WAI in case it is another trick. FU is sour to see MEI and WAI going out. WAN has arrived in the Philippines. Although she fails to prevent FU from taking part in the tournament, she manages to find the coaster. CHONG meets up with YAN. He pleads her to go to the Philippines to explain everything to FU. YAN promises him instantly……

WAN forbids her family members lending money to CHONG, who plans to stow away on a ship bound for the Philippines. They, nevertheless, give CHONG money with various excuses. FU is late for the tournament and misses the bit of how the dealer shuffles the cards. As he cannot rely on his memory as he always does, he has to bring his skills into full play. WAN meets CHONG when he is sneaking into the casino. CHONG locks her up in a storeroom. YAN calls CHONG. CHONG requests her to come to the Philippines but she stands him up once again. CHONG can do nothing but tell FU everything. FU is stupefied. CHONG is arrested. MING, who embezzles of the casino, has to go into exile. He asks CHO for money. CHO informs CHAN’s men secretly. MING stabs CHO with a knife. FU hurts himself in protecting CHO. CHAN torments MING into losing his sanity. CHAN proposes to work with CHO. FU is seriously injured. WAN and WING go to tell CHONG at once……

At the hospital, CHO asks WAN if she is supporting CHONG. WAN retorts sarcastically. CHO feels hurt. YAN bails CHONG out. CHO is taking FU back to Hong Kong for treatment. CHONG wants to ask WAN to stop CHO from doing so but it is already too late. FU is in a critical condition and needs a liver transplant immediately. CHONG wants to help his brother, but blood test indicates that his liver is not suitable for FU. FU’s condition has turned worse. CHO decides to transplant his liver to FU. YAN is determined to help CHONG in his lawsuit against CHO. CHONG points out that the truth will come out once they have found MING. MING, nevertheless, is unable to testify as he has gone mad. CHONG thanks YAN for her help, though he does not have a clue why she helps him. FU’s surgery is a success. He appreciates CHO even more. WING demands FU to tell CHONG that he is all right……

CHONG retorts that CHO was in fact the man behind the robbery. The court is swarming with reporters. Outside the court, WING scolds CHONG for returning evil for good. The casino has lost a large number of customers because of the robbery. WAI speaks ill of CHO in front of CHEONG. Before the verdict, CHONG asks WAN to take care of FU for him. He is astonished when WAN expresses her love for him. YAN has found a tycoon who is willing to testify for CHONG. CHONG is released. CHONG finds out later that YAN has bribed the tycoon. CHONG takes LOK (FU’s real name) to pay respect to their parents’ grave and visit places they used to go as children. FU, however, cannot stand his passion. CHAN would like to, through CHO, cooperate with CHEONG in fighting for the right to operate casinos in Macau. WAI strongly opposes the idea, claming that CHAN, who is a Triad member in Taiwan, only wants to launder money by cooperating with CHEONG……

CHONG finally accepts the fact the FU is going back to the Philippines to work. FU visits MEI. He is surprised that MEI does not look like lovesick at all. MEI comes to the conclusion that her breaking up with WAI was because she is not bad enough. FU does not know whether to laugh or cry. MEI is troubled by a customer. Seeing this, FU switches posts with her, not knowing that this will create an opportunity for CHAN to get to know MEI. It turns out that YAN is the owner of a casino. She invites CHONG to be her advisor on her cooperation with CHEONG’s GC Group. YAN’s father-in-law, CHEUK YAT-FU, who is CHONG’s idol, rejects the idea. CHO and CHONG talk business at GC Group respectively. CHO knows finally that YAN is his competitor. YAN mocks at CHO. YAT-FU’s health does not allow him to take part in the International Poker Tournament. CHONG wants to get over his psychological barrier and face FU. So he volunteers to represent YAT-FU……

CHO goes to the old people’s home to visit his mother and meets WAN there. CHO leaves in despair when he knows that WAN and CHO are now a pair. CHAN, CHO and FU play golf together. MEI, gorgeously dressed, shows up. FU realizes then that CHAN is fond of MEI. CHAN asks MEI to spend the night with him. CHO helps her out so that she can leave with FU. CHO asks MEI to work as a spy for him. Her job is to report to him on FU’s daily activities. MEI takes the job. MEI asks FU out. FU is excited for he mistakenly believes that MEI has at last understood his love for her. MEI realizes at last FU loves her. She tells CHO that she can no longer work for him but CHO manages to change her mind. CHONG finds it funny that FU has been dressing up recently. CHONG gives FU some money but he refuses to take it. FU puts in a good word for CHO and blames CHONG for his bias towards CHO. CHONG is displeased……

The first runner-up of the first round has a heart attack, making CHONG able to enter the second round of competition. YAN gives WAI a disk and says that it will be of great help to them. CHONG overcomes his nervousness with the encouragement and support of WAN. Both CHONG and CHO make it into the quarterfinal. The evening before the quarterfinal, CHEONG shows CHO the disk, in which CHUNG testifies against CHO. CHEONG tells CHO that he won’t trust him anymore. CHAN files into a rage when he learns that his cooperation with CHEONG has gone off. He shows WING and FU the door in anger. CHO reveals to FU that he has lost everything, and that the tournament is the only chance for him to stage a comeback. CHO’s opponent is CHONG. CHONG receives the news that FU has been sent to hospital because of complications. CHO knows that this is a trick FU uses to help him. CHONG wants to rush to hospital but is stopped by WAN……

CHONG wins the tournament and becomes the Honorary CEO of the new casino. CHO drowns his sorrows in liquor. CHONG rushes to the hospital to see FU, only to find that he has been discharged already. CHONG texts FU and asks him out in CHO’s name. FU, who is excited to see CHO again, is disappointed when he sees CHONG. CHO has gone missing. WING resigns and returns to Hong Kong. CHONG goes to the Philippines to invite FU to work for YAN’s casino but is turned down. CHO, who has been hiding and gambling at CHAN’s private club these days, has run into a debt of twenty million dollars. WAN bumps into CHO and finds him in frustration. CHO tells WAN that if it was not because of her he wouldn’t have cheated MING, and that he wouldn’t have become what he has become now. WAN tells CHONG she has run into CHO. CHONG and WING go to look for CHO. CHO mistakenly thinks that CHONG has come to show off……

CHO goes to find FU at Onisac. WAI ridicules him. FU determines to return to Hong Kong to work with CHO at CHAN’s private club. The two become even closer. CHEONG’s health condition has gone from bad to worse. He meets up with CHONG, during which he invites CHONG to go to the Philippines to look after his casino. CHONG turns him down tactfully. Seeing that WING has been idling, YAN invites him to work as a PR. WING accepts the invitation as he can work with CHONG. MEI has come to visit FU. As FU is too busy to accompany her, he gives her an auxiliary platinum credit card. He also tells her not to let WAN know that he is actually in Hong Kong. FU runs into Brother PAO at the casino. CHONG puts on a disguise and visits the illegal casino FU works for with YAT-FU. CHONG confirms that FU is the new gamble king. CHONG demands FU to leave, but FU retorts that CHONG no longer had the authority to mind his business the day CHONG lost him twenty years ago. CHO tells WAN that he has never forgotten his pledge and gives her the ring she likes. WAN, nevertheless, tells him that it is impossible for them to start over again. CHO tells FU that MEI has bumped into Brother PAO at the club. He also implies that MEI knows everything. To force FU to stop working for the club, CHONG reports to the police about the club being used as an illegal casino, making FU more prejudiced against him. WAN meets CHO again at the old people’s home. WAN pleads him not to use FU to attack CHONG anymore. CHO tells her that his love for her is true. WAN breaks down and states that she doesn't want to be hurt again……

MEI is going back to the Philippines. FU proposes to her. CHAN has opened up another illegal casino. CHONG and a number of tycoons go to CHAN’s casino to play with FU. CHONG is in the lead at the beginning. But then he deliberately lets FU catch up with him. The game ends in a draw. The true intention of CHONG is to let the tycoons know that FU has the ability to memorize cards. FU needs to talk to MEI’s parents about their wedding. FU asks WAN to take CHONG to the Philippines. CHONG is very excited. FU calls CHONG a hypocrite at the meal, and breaks off relations with CHONG in front of MEI’s family. CHONG leaves with a broken heart. FU tells CHO that he is going on a honeymoon trip for six months with MEI. The minute before FU and MEI’s wedding, CHO reveals to FU that MEI used to work for him as a spy. FU calls off the wedding and shocks everyone. CHEONG’s condition turns worse……

CHO shows up at the shareholders’ meeting of Onisac, claming that he is now a shareholder. What’s more, he brings with him FU, who is going to work at Onisac. KIKI reports to WAI that she heard from the grapevine that there is a piece of land available for sale in Las Vegas. WAI thinks that this will be a great opportunity for Onisac to do business in the States. To play safe, CHONG is going to go to Las Vegas for a site visit. WAN cannot choose between CHO and CHONG. She airs her grievance to WING. CHONG’s friends throw a birthday party for him. He is very pleased that FU has brought him an expensive gold tablet. WAN is avoiding CHONG. CHONG has bought WAN a necklace to make it up to his not being able to accompany her, making she ever guiltier. CHONG sends WAN back to MEI’s place. CHO, who is burnt with jealousy, forces WAN to go to the hotel where he is staying. CHO talks to CHONG at the hotel and demands him to leave WAN……

CHO thinks that WAN will go back to him, but thing does not happen as he wishes. WAN is watching others gambling at the casino when it strikes her that if she keeps on like this, she will end up ruining her future. KIKI tricks WAI into exchange the piece of land with the shares of Onisac. Later, FU learns by chance that CHO and CHAN actually own the land. CHO lures FU to keep it a secret with a huge sum. YAN likes KIKI’s limited-edition handbag. WING asks KIKI to order one for him so as to please YAN. WING discovers that KIKI abuses drugs. KIKI tells him that CHO plans to gobble up Onisac. CHO pleads WING to let him off, but WING asks him to stop before it is too late. No sooner has WING parted with CHO than he is hit by a car. Almost instantly, CHO receives CHAN’s phone call to tell him to leave the scene. WING is lying in a pool of blood. CHO cannot bear to see his good brother die and so takes him to an illegal doctor……

As told by CHO, KIKI informs WAI that the owner of the land would like to seal the contract at an earlier time. CHONG suggests thinking it over as he finds it unusual. WAI, however, believes that opportunity like this may not come again. YAN calls and tells CHONG that WING has been missing for days. As CHONG knows that FU was the one who has recently met with WING, he goes to see if FU knows where WING is. FU lies that he doesn’t have a clue. Before he dies, WING tells CHO it is his wish to see him repent. CHO apologizes to WING, who smiles and dies. CHO tells FU to stop CHONG from going to where the signing of the contract will take place. FU is nervous. He beats CHONG into a faint. FU drops CHONG in the country. CHAN sends his men to kill FU and CHONG, who know too much about his plan. The brothers jump down the cliff. When they get to Onisac, it has already fallen into the hand of CHO and CHAN……

FU visits MEI every day to beg for her forgiveness but without any result. CHO’s dream of becoming a casino tycoon almost comes true when he hears the news of his mother’s death. CHAN knows that people in the underworld want CHO to launder money for them. He asks CHO to turn them down. CHO restates that he is the man in charge. WAN pays respect to the grave of CHO’s mother and runs into him. CHO is shocked to know that it was what he said that had led to his mother’s death. CHO begs WAN to go back to him. WAN returns to the Philippines with CHO, and hopes to gather evidence of his guilt for CHONG. CHONG demands CHO to reveal WING’s whereabouts. CHO has gone mad. He has a game with CHONG, using WAN as stake. CHO suffers a crushing defeat. He tells CHONG where WING was buried as well as the whole story. On WING’s funeral, YAN brings with her the one and only present WING had ever given to her to bid farewell to him……
