1x1 - Episode 1

SHANG is a truck driver. In an accident, HEI, as a passer-by, was the eyewitness to accuse SHANG, therefore they have become great enemy. SHANG’s mother died when he was ten years old, he has lived with his uncle, as well as a bettor, YIN. So he didn’t do well in his studies, but for fulfilling his mother’s last wish, he had finally got into the university, and was coincidentally in the same class with HEI. The son of YIN, DING, often creates troubles, SHANG was exhausted to run around for his debts, and has nearly been dropped out from the university. HEI was living with her sister, FUAN, and they have a very close relationship. One day, because of negligence, HEI has made FUAN’s baby nearly choked to death, so she ran to the street for help. SHANG passed by and picked them up to the hospital. Although the baby had been saved in time, but FUAN and her husband died in a car accident when they were hurrying to the hospital.… ...

After six years of hard work, SHANG finally gets a degree in logistics. After graduation, he meets his old schoolmate, CHING. CHING persuades him to work together in Prosperous Company. To look after LUI, HEI drops out from school and works several part time jobs to strive for money. To make more money for importing goods, YIN rents out SHANG’s room. However, the tenants are HEI and her daughter. On SHANG’s first day of work, he has offended his supervisor, AMY. AMY asks SHANG to manage the fleet. Truck drivers: WEI, PAO and the others think that they have bonding with their elder staff, HIM, thus they do not agree with SHANG’s leadership. SHANG is irritated when he discovers that his room is occupied by HEI, but HEI has already paid one-year rent, and SHANG does not have extra money to compensate, so he could only accept her. As a result, they have unresolved hatred to each other.… ...

AMY says good words for SHANG, and confronts with HIM and the other elder staff. CHI wants to patch up the quarrel and hope them reconcile to each other. CHI knows his company has a lot of problems, and determines to reform, but he doesn’t want to offend his cousin, HIM, so he asks AMY for help secretly. SHANG misunderstands AMY is materialistic and she has met someone bad to become a single mother. HEI pours water to him when she knows this. YIN induces HEI pay together for the goods. SHANG persuades her not to, but is scolded by HEI instead. YIN and DING smuggled telephones to the mainland and have been arrested. SHANG runs away and gives bail for them during working hours, and AMY is angry with that. YIN helps HEI to look after LUI, but she is taken away by the illegal debtor. HEI uses her savings to redeem LUI, and chases SHANG to pay the money back. SHANG refuses, and HEI jumps into the sea.… ...

KIKI admires SHANG very much. She thinks HEI is SHANG’s girlfriend and they nearly start a fight. CHI comes to SHANG and tells him how he has struggled for success and urges him to stay. SHANG cancels his resignment finally. SHANG suspects someone has corrupted and smuggled the goods for private business. So he investigates with CHING and AMY. HEI has gone to work, so SHANG takes LUI out to play, but he doesn’t know LUI is suffered from asthma and has blisters in her lung She has very serious allergy to fluffy toys. LUI is sent to the hospital and meanwhile, SHANG realizes at last that HEI wants to earn so much money is for sending LUI to cure in overseas. CHING and SHANG find out HIM and other elder staffs are doing something that are disadvantaging for the profit of the company. CHI does not want to report to the police. AMY and CHING reject and resign. SHANG immediately stops them and speaks for CHI.

HIM and the elder staffs persuade CHI’s wife, KIT. They also recommend CHI’s son, FAI, to work in Prosperous. They are secretly planning how to deal with SHANG and the others. Luckily, KIT understands the situation and support CHI’s reform. For LUI’s sake, SHANG does not allow YIN and DING smoke at home. HEI begins to judge him in a different way. FAI uses the hacker to damage the computer system of AMY’s department and has created a great loss to the company. HIM takes this opportunity to request CHI to let FAI managing AMY’s department. AMY agrees with the suggestion and the others are shocked. AMY receives a bunch of flowers on her birthday, she reckons this is the bribe by FAI, but is scorned by him instead. In the meantime, CHING comes in time and rescues her. CHING shows his love to AMY, but AMY rejects him politely. CHI thinks AMY is his ex-girlfriend, so he shares his old stories with her.… ...

HEI has slipped up her waist and she is so glad that SHANG takes care of her. Since SHANG knows the fault of HIM and the others, HIM initiates to transfer his position into Consultant. CHI is glad to see the reform is successful. He promotes SHANG to Manager as a reward for his effort. SHANG introduces HEI to do temporary jobs in Prosperous. FAI points on HEI personally, but AMY speaks for her. HEI is grateful for her help. AMY implicitly expresses her love to CHI, but CHI hasn’t moved. CHING is jealous to see CHI is taking a ride for AMY. AMY gives an evening gown to HEI for attending an evening ball. She also encourages HEI to work harder. HEI adores her very much. HEI has dressed up for the ball and steals the show that night. CHI comes along with KIT, his elder daughter, WAI and the youngest daughter, SZE to the ball. AMY sees that CHI won’t give up for KIT who is physically handicapped in walking.… ...

SZE joins Prosperous and sets up the public relations department. She decides to make a career. LUI is sick. HEI hurries back home. SZE wants to help HEI finishing her job, but has created more trouble instead. FAI adores HEI’s beauty, and dates her by excuses. However, HEI doesn’t realize his intention. SZE has lots of plans in her mind, but not practical enough, and become an obstacle for others. HEI hasn’t alerted FAI’s ulterior motives, so SHENG queries she never dated anyone before. YIN comes across CHI and CHI is anxious to ask him about WAN’s situation. He is shocked when he knows WAN has passed away already and she is SHENG’s mother. SZE rejects CHING’s important client without his consent. CHING scolds her and AMY has an idea. AMY seduces CHING. By using his love, AMY persuades him to chase SZE. It is because AMY had a poor childhood, and makes her believes that only money and power can give her happiness.… ...

To flatter AMY, CHING has deliberately pleased SZE, though SZE is delightful about that. CHI promotes SHENG to be the Supervisor of the Business Development Department and HEI has also successfully changed her contract to a permanent one. They celebrate together and SHENG plays jokes on HEI and makes her embarrassed. CHING talks to AMY about the discrimination experiences during his university life. AMY sympathizes with him and they both determine to change their fate. FAI asks HEI for dinner. FAI takes this opportunity to harass her sexually, and HEI urgently calls SHENG for help. SHENG comes just in time and brings her away. FAI is irritated. When KIKI knows SHENG has accompanied HEI for a whole night, she is very jealous that she goes to Prosperous and slaps on HEI’s face. The others think HEI and KIKI are both chasing SHENG. FAI makes excuses to ask HEI working overtime, so that he can have opportunity to sexually harass her.… ...

HIM stirs up the case about FAI has been beaten and reports to CHI. AMY and CHING pity him, but SHENG is relaxed and comforts HEI on the contrary. YIN blames CHI that he will regret if he didn’t help SHENG. CHI reckons SHENG is his real son. AMY has found a witness to accuse FAI, but HEI is worried the identity of LUI will be disclosed, so she doesn’t want to bring the case go to the court. So SHENG makes a dodge that will make FAI cancel the case. When SHENG takes a ride for CHI to go back home, they have a car accident on the way. SHENG has lost most of the blood and needs blood transfusion. However, his blood type is very rare. CHI is very surprised that his blood type is matched with SHENG’s. He forces YIN to tell him the truth. AMY overhears SHENG’s identity accidentally and comes up with something in her mind. KIT has fainted and has been sent to the hospital. CHI is very worried.… ...

HEI loses her temper at SHANG and is yelling that she has to move out. SHANG is wondering why. AMY is a shrewd and deep person, and she encourages HEI to move out from SHANG’s home. HEI believes in her. When SHANG wakes up, he sees HEI is packing things and moving out, he scolds at her. YIN blames SHANG doesn’t know the heart of HEI instead. SHANG suddenly realizes what has been going on and chases her back. He speaks to her and shows her his love. HEI is excited. AMY sends news to the media saying that CHI has an illegitimate son. Everybody is talking about the matter and thinks that CHING is the illegitimate son. However, SHANG doesn’t pay attention to it. HIM and the others go to KIT’s place stirring up trouble and blaming CHI’s fault. However, KIT totally trusts in her husband. HIM and the rest feel very much put out by her ndifference. The identity of SHANG was finally blurted out and suddenly becomes the focus of the media.

SHANG becomes the heir of Prosperous and vigorously chased by the media. YIN knows the secret has been blurted out, so he escapes from SHANG. CHI and the family are disturbed by the press. KIT at last asks CHI about the matter of SHANG. CHI frankly tells her his story with WAN and admits that SHANG is his illegitimate child. KIT is considerate to SHANG’s situation and supports him to hold a press conference to clarify the story. SHANG comes to AMY’s home for escaping from the press. AMY makes excuses and stops HEI from visiting SHANG. HIM and the others force KIT that she should clarify her standpoint. She is too agitated that she has a heart attack and is sent to the hospital. CHI goes outraged about this. SHANG finds out YIN at last. To protect himself from his fault, YIN incriminates CHI is the one who has made WAN died. He also persuades SHANG not to recognize CHI as the father. CHI publicly admits the relationship between SHANG.… ...

SHANG visits KIT. She speaks for CHI and even feels grateful for WAN, she asks SHANG to think from CHI’s viewpoint. SHANG goes to worship the grave of WAN and meets CHI coincidentally. CHI explains to SHANG that he did not leave WAN alone. SHANG knows the truth and scolds YIN covering the story and incriminating CHI. SHANG doesn’t want to depend on CHI, so he actively finds jobs by himself. However, the reality always fails his expectation, he finally has to go back to Prosperous. CHI promises him he won’t have bias on him. CHING gradually cannot stand for AMY’s behaviour, but AMY doesn’t care at all. Despite this, he is still willing to help her. KIT invites SHANG to her birthday party. HEI has bought a birthday cake for celebration, but teased by FAI and WAI instead, however, KIT appreciates it very much.… ...

CHI is thankful to KIT for her appreciation to SHANG. SHANG feels difficult to reject KIT, so he plans to keep the shares only temporarily for her. AMY intentionally accommodates herself to SHANG. In this way, she can get close with him. HEI is worried because many people think AMY and SHANG is a perfect match. CHI has brought a luxurious house for WAN in early years, and he wants SHANG to takeover it. However, SHANG has not ready to accept it for this moment. YIN has made large debts because of outside bets. However, SHANG doesn’t want to ask CHI to lend him money. YIN moves out as he thinks SHANG doesn’t want to rescue him. HEI wants to take out her savings for rescuing YIN, but SHANG stops her. They have a quarrel of this. AMY is trapped in the car under heavy rain and she calls SHANG for help. SHANG takes AMY back to her home and AMY makes excuses to ask SHANG for a stay.… ...

After SHANG has stayed a night at AMY’s place, AMY intentionally exchanges SHANG ‘s mobile phones with hers. SHANG takes a drive for AMY to go to work and renders a lot of gossips. HEI is in bitterness. CHING is anxious to ask about the matter between AMY and SHANG, but AMY replies him indifferently. CHING has a bad temper and he uses SZE as the punching bag. AMY receives the call from the creditor and pays the debts for YIN. YIN and the others are very grateful for her help. HEI misunderstands that SHANG has an affair with AMY, that’s why AMY is willing to pay the debt for him. Nevertheless, to show his innocence, SHANG borrows money from Prosperous and returns the money to her. He even explains to her clearly that he doesn’t want to have any conflicts with her. AMY is agitated to lose from HEI. HEI knows she has misunderstands SHANG and they gets back together and has an even more consolidated relationship.… ...

AMY makes use of KIKI to disclose to the media that HEI’s premarital pregnancy is due to the ignorance in her teenage life. She thinks this will ruin HEI’s reputation. HEI is reported as a wicked woman and is chased after by the press. In an accident, LUI is injured, and HEI goes outraged with the press. HIM and the others stir up the trouble and ask KIT about HEI’s things. CHI wants to clarify the case with SHANG, but SHANG guarantees he won’t let HEI go even if he has to leave out from CHI’s family. CHI asks private detective to investigate HEI and at last finds out the truth. Even HIM and WEI also adore HEI, for her great sacrifices to take care LUI, her deceased sister’s daughter. After this incident, AMY is very angry not only because of her plan has totally failed but also the incident on the contrary has helped HEI to build up an even higher reputation.… ...

AMY doesn’t want to give up SHANG, she fuddles herself in order to forget the sorrow and tells KIKI about her grief. Under AMY’s inducement, KIKI makes SHANG taken the drugs and takes a few intimate pictures with him during his unconscious state. SHANG gets trouble with KIKI and has neglected to look after LUI. LUI has an asthma attack at the garden and has been knocked down in an accident. AMY witnesses the accident but she does not save her, instead, she runs away frightfully. When HEI knows LUI is hurt in the accident and discovers the affair of SHANG and KIKI from the photos, she is extremely furious. LUI goes into a coma and may become a human vegetable. HEI is shocked and AMY takes this opportunity to make mischief between HEI and SHANG. CHING is not concentrated when he is taking the wedding photos with SZE. He threats AMY to come out and see him alone.… ...

AMY is glad that HEI has broken up with SHANG. KIKI extorts AMY for money. To prevent troubles, AMY immediately gives her fifteen thousand. HEI is indecisive with SHANG’s entanglement. AMY helps LUI to transfer into another hospital, so that SHANG cannot find HEI. SHANG does not have the mood to work, AMY blames him should give up HEI. AMY shows her love to him again, but SHANG rejects her without hesitation. CHING is shocked when he knows KIKI has the evidence of his affair with AMY. He immediately calls out AMY, but their kissing moments are again recorded by KIKI with her secret camera. AMY commends CHING to clear up the mess. KIKI tells SHANG how wicked AMY is, so SHANG advises HEI to alert her. CHING creeps in KIKI’s home to steal the video, but wakes KIKI up. The two has a quarrel and they both knock down each other. Soon, AMY comes and is shocked when she finds that they are both lying on the floor.

When CHING wakes up and finds out that he has murdered KIKI by mistake, he feels extremely guilty. AMY destroys the evidences calmly, and stops CHING to report to the police. HEI is in a dilemma as she can’t forget about SHANG. The police has discovered KIKI’s body and puts SHANG under investigation. HEI celebrates her birthday alone with LUI, who’s still in coma. SHANG has been waiting for HEI in the heavy rain. HEI is at last moved by him and agrees to get back together. SHANG is accused of murdering KIKI, but AMY acts indifferently. CHI helps him to hire a lawyer. HEI is the only time witness of SHANG, however, their intimate relationship makes HEI’s testimony not convincing enough and the situation is not good for SHANG. CHING is in fear and trembling. He doesn’t want SHANG to become the sacrifice, but AMY scolds him for this.… ...

HEI has been discovered that she is giving the false testimony to the court. Without doubt, she says she wants SHANG to be put in the prison so as to take revenge for LUI. The rest doesn’t understand her at all, only SHANG gets HEI’s intention and feels very grateful for her. SHANG is released innocently but HEI is arrested because she has given the false testimony. AMY and CHING celebrate with SHANG. AMY is jealous that SHANG is still hanging on HEI.AMY fuddles herself and CHING persuades her to give up SHANG, but AMY goes outraged and scolds him. HEI suddenly comes up for SHANG, but coincidentally SHANG also goes to the hospital to find HEI. They both lost the chance to see each other, but at last, the couple meets again after several times of coming and going. SHANG finds CHING’s photos in KIKI’s bequest, he reckons CHING is related to the death of KIKI.… ...

With some small clues, SHANG knows CHING is having an affair and greatly believes they are related to KIKI’s death. He wants to test CHING to tell the truth, but CHING strongly denies. SHANG at last reveals the affair of AMY and CHING, CHING admits he has killed KIKI by mistake, and SHANG advises him should go for self-accusation, but he escapes. SHANG reminds him to think carefully of what has happened in KIKI’ home that day. CHING gets the light suddenly and discovers the murderer of KIKI should be AMY. CHING makes a dodge to ask AMY to tell the truth, but unsuccessful. On the contrary, AMY puts all the responsibility on him. They argue with each other and CHING is so provoked that he loses control and goes crazy, he uses the cold steel to stab on AMY.

AMY has lost too much blood and her condition is very dangerous. SHANG goes in a hurry to see her for the last time. Before she dies, AMY admits she is the murderer of KIKI. CHING is sentenced to jail for eight years. SZE is heartbroken because she cannot believe that CHING has been lying to her. SHANG visits CHING and tells him they are still good friends, CHING is moved. SHANG successfully helps HEI to reduce the sentence period, but HEI is not happy at all. She only hopes that LUI can wake up soon. CHI begs SHANG to come back to Prosperous, but SHANG thinks that he doesn’t have the heart to work for the meantime, so he rejects. SZE knows she cannot give up CHING, so she forgives him and willing to wait for his release and get married with him afterwards. SHANG looks after LUI day by day, though he believes in hope, he finally finds it discouraging. Will LUI wake up at last and get back together with HEI and SHANG?
