North in Wyoming, Steve Barela, convicted of 2nd degree murder of his wife, hopes the board will give him a chance at parole.

Across the state, Joshua Buckles hopes to put his violent crime in the past and become a family man. In Colorado, Jordan Epperson hopes to impress board member John O'Dell and be returned to his hometown in Arizona. Board members in each state must decide if these inmates are safe for release.
