The Gosselins set out to see huge snow-covered mountains, bright white glaciers and pan for gold, but the excitement builds when they head out to sea in search of whales. (This episode is a prequel to a cross-over in the "Alaskan Hospitality" episode of Sarah Palin's Alaska, which was seen the following month).
