Kopitiam (1998)
After her father's death, Marie inherits his old coffee-shop. She renovates it and calls it "Kopitiam". Her friends, Steven, a hairdresser, and Joe, an aspiring actor help her out. An annoying Singaporean lawyer, Susan, also joins the ride.

Renovations for the Kopitiam begin, with Marie and Susan at loggerheads. Chan has a bone to pick with Kong, while Steven and Joe play Cupid.
1x3 - The Grand Opening
With nothing going to plan ahead of the Kopitiam's grand opening, Marie calls on the gang for help. But nobody gets their job quite right.
1x4 - Barber's Blues
When Steven is fired from his salon job, Marie hires him as a waiter, but the others doubt he can hack it. Marie meets a man on the internet.
1x5 - Coffee, Tea or Me?
The gang is amused when Joe gets a new tattoo. Steven tricks the caffeine-shunning Maria into drinking coffee, with unexpected results.
1x6 - Sleepless in KL
Marie takes Joe in as a roommate, but is soon annoyed by his habits. Steven creates a new shampoo brand. Susan struggles with apartment-hunting.
1x7 - The Big Match
Steven and Marie worm their way into watching an important football game on Susan's home theater. Meanwhile, there's a big problem with Joe's tickets.
1x8 - Ramlee Burger
Marie cooks new dishes to attract customers, but her food fails to impress. When a new burger stall opens nearby, the gang tries to recruit its cook.
1x9 - The Secret Diaries
When a fit customer leaves her a rude message, Marie goes on a weight loss spree. Joe finds Marie's childhood diary and shares it with the group.
1x10 - Romancing the Stone
When the usually grumpy Susan shows a softer side, the gang gets curious. Joe decides to direct a documentary, but stumbles on a secret while filming.
1x11 - The Roach House Grill
When the Kopitiam gets infested with roaches, Marie refuses to kill them, while the others use the pests as inspiration to scare Susan.
1x12 - Wedding Yells
Learning that their son and daughter are engaged, Kong and Chan butt heads over wedding plans. Joe gets carried away while helping Marie.
1x13 - Fatal Affection, or Serious Attraction, or Lethal Infatuation, or....
Joe tries to direct a film, but between Marie's clumsiness, Susan's diva attitude and the uncles' on-set shenanigans, the friends aren't much help.
1x14 - The Usual Suspects
After a wild celebration for Susan's birthday, the hungover gang must piece together their faint memories to find out what happened the night before.
1x15 - Roti Rage
A dissatisfied customer holds five of the friends at gunpoint inside the Kopitiam. Inspired by a film, Joe concocts an elaborate plan to save them.
1x16 - Roti Rage Part 2
Annoyed with Joe, the gunman demands that the other hostages replace him, but their constant arguing soon reaches a fever pitch.
