In deze aflevering dirigeren de BN’ers muziek uit zes beroemde filmklassiekers, maar eerst krijgen ze les in expressie en inleving van de Nederlandse acteur Leopold Witte. Leopold is vooral bekend van zijn rollen als Evert Lodewijkx in de televisieserie en film Gooische Vrouwen en als Oscar in de televisieserie Dokter Deen.

De zevende aflevering staat in het teken van opera. De overgebleven drie kandidaten dirigeren ieder een aria met mezzosopraan Tania Kross en een ouverture. Een aria wordt meestal door één persoon gezongen en begeleid door muziekinstrumenten. Een ouverture is het openingsstuk van een opera, ballet of concert.

De eindsprint is in zicht, in deze allerlaatste aflevering zal blijken wie er van de acht kandidaten overblijft als beste dirigent. De laatste twee Maestro’s die het tegen elkaar op zullen nemen in de finale zijn Lenette en Tanja.

It is an adaptation of the American format American Gladiators. The success of the British series spawned further adaptations in Australia and Sweden. The series was revived in 2008, before again being cancelled in 2009. The series was originally presented by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson, however, Fashanu was replaced by Jeremy Guscott in 1997. Guscott left the series in 1998, and subsequently, Fashanu returned for the final series in 1999.
