1x1 - Episode 1

One rainy evening, inspector KONG SING-YUE comes to a village house to carry out investigation. The murderer leaves a camcorder with video showing the murdering scene and everybody is terrified. The only survivor LEE CHOR-KIU loses her left hand and she is sent to the hospital. While sleeping in the hospital, CHOR-KIU senses that the murderer is coming back… Encouraged by the magician CHEUNG SAI-YIN, CHOR-KIU eventually recovers from the trauma. Three years later, theatre master KUN SIU-NAM receives lots of flower baskets at the dressing room to celebrate his success in a performance. Private detective SHUN-CHUEN is visiting SIU-NAM with an envelope but theatre director CHONG CHUN-TO stops him. CHUN-TO learns that SIU-NAM is still searching for his missing daughter CHI-YING and he feels sorry for him. SIU-NAM’s good friend CHAN YAT-KEI invites him to dinner at home.… ...

SIU-NAM returns to the theatre group and everybody is talking about BING-CHING for he doesn’t want their theatre piece to go public. SIU-NAM discovers that BING-CHING has left his wallet there so he decides to send it back to him. SIU-NAM fails to find BING-CHING so he tries to figure out his whereabouts by thinking in BING-CHING’s perspective. BING-CHING is deeply touched that SIU-NAM is sending him the wallet as well as his heart disease medicine. He feels that SIU-NAM really understands him and he changes his mind. SAI-TING is still upset with SAI-YIN’s wedding plan but SAI-YIN doesn’t notice it. SIU-NAM visits BING-CHING and he discovers that BING-CHING is a very detail-minded person. BING-CHING has moved back to his old home and SIU-NAM is deeply touched to learn about the reason behind. He further confirms that he should continue his search for his missing daughter as well.… ...

SAI-YIN is keeping Uncle TIN’s mobile phone and he discovers that ERIC is leaving a message to Uncle TIN. SAI-YIN manages to find “Jekyll” Pub and he discovers a customer MARTIN hitting the bartender HENRY angrily. EDWIN offers a drink to him warmly while MICHELLE is fooling around with a man in the toilet. SAI-YIN believes that one of them is Uncle TIN’s partner. The bar owner ERIC suddenly approaches SAI-YIN. He calls SAI-YIN with his childhood nickname and SAI-YIN is shocked. After knowing BING-CHING for a period of time, SIU-NAM begins to read BING-CHING’s mind in another perspective and he starts to wonder if BING-CHING has really killed his wife. While eating with BING-CHING in a restaurant, SIU-NAM finds some prostitutes arguing with each other. SIU-NAM is shocked to discover the woman who sent him tansy there and her name is WAI-CHING. He questions her why she has pretended to be deaf and dumb.

BING-CHING follows WAI-CHING for he wants her to stop fooling around anymore but WAI-CHING’s gang members beat him. SIU-NAM persuades BING-CHING to stop intervening and he points out that BING-CHING has treated WAI-CHING just like his past wife. SAI-TING suddenly wants to break up with her boyfriend HOK-LAI. CHOR-KIU tries to console her but SAI-TING reveals to CHOR-KIU angrily that she doesn’t like her at all. Typhoon signal number 3 is hoisted. WAI-CHING and the other women are waiting for KIN to have drug transaction but BING-CHING suddenly arrives to abduct KIN with a knife. After a theatre performance, SIU-NAM is disappointed that BING-CHING didn’t show up. Later, SIU-NAM learns from SING-YUE that WAI-CHING was killed and he is shocked. ERIC discovers that HENRY has overheard his conversation with SAI-YIN and he kills HENRY heartlessly. SAI-YIN has no choice but to clean up the place with ERIC.

SIU-NAM has blamed BING-CHING wrongly and this indirectly causes BING-CHING to commit a crime. SIU-NAM feels very guilty so he indulges himself in dreaming about his daughter all day and refuses to face the reality. SAI-YIN wants to go working in Singapore. He asks CHOR-KIU and SAI-TING to go with him. SAI-YIN goes to Jekyll pub again. MICHELLE deliberately mentions to him that HENRY is missing and SAI-YIN is shocked. Other actors complain to CHUNG-TO that SIU-NAM is not concentrating on the rehearsals at all. While chatting with each other, SAI-YIN realizes that SAI-TING has met SIU-NAM accidentally and he worries that SAI-TING will be seeing SIU-NAM again. SAI-YIN sneaks into SIU-NAM’s home to carry out investigation…

SIU-NAM goes to the shopping mall to watch SAI-YIN’s magic performance. SIU-NAM is able to analyze SAI-YIN’s psychological status in details just by observing him and SAI-YIN starts to put SIU-NAM on his guard. ERIC invites SAI-YIN to the pub again. MICHELLE understands that SAI-YIN doesn’t want SIU-NAM to get in touch with SAI-TING again when learning magic. While entangling with SAI-TING, HOK-LAI is knocked down by a taxi accidentally. SAI-TING discovers that SIU-NAM is the passenger of the taxi. SAI-TING reveals her special feelings with the trees to SIU-NAM. SAI-YIN watches them secretly…

SAI-YIN goes to Jekyll pub to look for ERIC and the others. The group starts discussing about the relationship between SIU-NAM and SAI-TING. SIU-NAM goes to look for his old friend in the audio shop. He realizes that SING-YUE is still giving troubles to SAM. SIU-NAM goes to look for SING-YUE and they are caught in a traffic accident. Upon wake up, SIU-NAM finds himself trapped by a stranger LAP-CHI in a stone house. SIU-NAM wants to run away but somebody knocks him out. When SIU-NAM wakes up again, he finds himself in the hospital already. While giving YIM-KING a ride, the braking system of SAI-YIN’s car is out of control and YIM-KING is injured. Based on information provided by SIU-NAM, SING-YUE and the others believe that LAP-CHI has got a bomb with him.

CHOR-KIU reveals to SAI-YIN that SIU-NAM has praised that he is a good man and SAI-YIN is very surprised. SAI-YIN decides not to stop SAI-TING from seeing SIU-NAM anymore. He believes that this can help SIU-NAM to recover from the pain of losing his daughter. ERIC is upset for SAI-YIN has allowed SAI-TING to keep contact with SIU-NAM. The whole group blames SAI-YIN for doing. SAI-YIN cannot bear it anymore and he plans to take a revenge on them. The police labels LAP-CHI as a dangerous person but SIU-NAM believes that LAP-CHI is not as cruel as what they believe. SIU-NAM tries to speculate the whereabouts of the police gun by imitating LAP-CHI’s behavior. SIU-NAM calls SING-YUE to reveal that he has discovered the whereabouts of LAP-CHI. He convinces SING-YUE to attend a bank’s press conference and they finally find LAP-CHI.

CHOR-KIU learns from the assistant that SAI-YIN has beaten a student during class and she realizes that SAI-YIN is emotional condition is very unstable. SING-YUE wanders around near SIU-NAM’s home but he still doesn’t have the courage to apologize to SIU-NAM. SAI-YIN agrees to do an underwater unlocking performance for a TV station. However, after a number of practices, he still fails to finish the task within the time limit. SING-YUE finally visits SIU-NAM to apologize to him. He also brings SIU-NAM a palm drawing by WAI and CHI-YING for his safekeeping. SAI-TING brings SIU-NAM to visit SAI-YIN. SAI-YIN is practicing unlocking underwater. He accidentally drowns while seeing the two of them underwater. SING-YUE reveals to SIU-NAM that the police are still carrying out investigation on CHI-YING’s case and SIU-NAM is overjoyed. SAI-YIN worries that SIU-NAM will reveal his misbehaviors to others and he is depressed…

An investment consultant abducts somebody in the bank. With the help of SIU-NAM, SING-YUE handles the case successfully again. SAI-YIN is invited by a shopping mall to perform magic on speculating the stock market figures. LAI-HING and CHUN-TO persuades SIU-NAM to stop helping SING-YUE in exchange for information on his missing daughter. They believe that SING-YUE is taking advantage of SIU-NAM but SIU-NAM doesn’t agree with them. SIU-NAM receives an anonymous letter from one of the kidnappers in the past. He therefore plays trick to stay in the hospital so that he could look for other evidences. SAI-YIN provides a stock market forecast accurately. He immediately becomes the focus in town and he is really proud of himself. SAI-YIN learns that SIU-NAM is depressed so he brings red wine to his home and drinks with him. SAI-YIN consoles SIU-NAM by saying that his daughter must be alive and SIU-NAM is deeply touched.… ...

Influenced by ERIC and the group, SAI-YIN flirts with his assistant KELLY while working on a shooting job. On YIM-KING’s birthday banquet, SAI-YIN catches everybody’s attention by performing magic and YIM-KING feels very proud about it. SING-YUE arrests a murderer with mental disease and he discovers the truth behind with SIU-NAM’s help. YIM-KING tells CHOR-KIU something carelessly during lunch and CHOR-KIU starts to lose confidence on SAI-YIN. SAI-YIN meets a sexy woman in the convenience store and he suddenly feels a strong desire inside. CHOR-KIU fails to reach SAI-YIN and she couldn’t find him in his studio as well. SIU-NAM finds CHOR-KIU in pain and he invites her to chat with him at home so as to soothe her pain.

YIM-KING keeps praising her son’s girlfriend and CHOR-KIU feels that YIM-KING favors her son more. SAI-YIN gives CHOR-KIU a sweet surprise. CHOR-KIU believes that all bad things are gone but she loses her confidence on SAI-YIN again after seeing a SMS. CHEUK-KWAN hurts himself while climbing a tree and LAI-HING realizes that he is working in a gardening company. A thief attacks CHOR-KIU and he even takes away her electric prosthetic arm. SAI-TING meets LAI-HING again while returning music disc to SIU-NAM. LAI-HING’ prejudice on SAI-TING is deepen after realizing that her son CHEUK-KWAN is obsessed with her and SAI-YIN is making a website for SIU-NAM…

CHOR-KIU brings a rich man to backstage to meet up with SIU-NAM. SIU-NAM feels that CHOR-KIU is behaving strange lately and he is worried. SIU-NAM meets SAI-YIN and he reveals to him that CHOR-KIU is having problems with her prosthetic arm lately. CHEUK-KWAN tries to please SAI-TING in every way and SAI-TING cannot bear to reveal the truth to him. SAI-TING visits SIU-NAM and SIU-NAM invites her to visit his daughter’s memorial tablet together. SIU-NAM bursts into tears in front of the memorial tablet and SAI-TING cries behind him shamefully. LAI-HING and SAI-TING meet each other again. LAI-HING discovers that SAI-TING treats SIU-NAM as a true friend and her attitude on SAI-TING changes. While chatting with CHOR-KIU, SIU-NAM falls asleep and starts dreaming. SAI-TING blames herself for not being able to console her good friend and CHOR-KIU persuades her to relax. SAI-YIN is drunk when he returns home. CHOR-KIU feels that SAI-YIN is behaving strange lately and she is worried. HOK-LAI keeps following SAI-TING. He even traps himself and SAI-TING inside a lift deliberately, causing SAI-TING to suffer from claustrophobia again. CHOR-KIU is waiting for SAI-YIN to finish his performance in the TV station and HOK-LAI suddenly appears sneakily in the corridor. SAI-YIN tries to kick HOK-LAI away but HOK-LAI doesn’t want to leave. He accuses SAI-YIN for committing incest with SAI-TING and SAI-YIN is enraged. SAI-YIN is enraged and he scolds her angrily. HOK-LAI’s dead body is discovered eventually and SING-YUE is assigned to follow up the case. CHUNG-TO and LAI-HING find SAI-TING sitting besides the coffee shop in wet clothes. LAI-HING asks SAI-TING to stay in their home for one night. SING-YUE believes that SAI-TING is one of the suspects in HOK-LAI’s case and he starts an investigation on her. SIU-NAM learns from SAI-TING that SAI-YIN is fooling around with other woman and he realizes why SAI-TING has been hiding away from SAI-YIN. SIU-NAM asks SAI-YIN to face his family problems seriously. CHOR-KIU has got a cold and she visits the doctor. CHOR-KIU’s period is late and the doctor asks her to take a pregnancy test. CHOR-KIU is very worried… SAI-TING and SIU-NAM learn that CHOR-KIU is staying in the hospital and they rush to visit her. They find that SAI-YIN is accompanying her already. SIU-NAM accompanies SING-YUE to visit WAI-CHING’s memorial tablet. SING-YUE reveals to SIU-NAM that SAI-TING should be the one who killed HOK-LAI. SIU-NAM wants to prove that SAI-TING is innocent so he agrees to help SING-YUE. SAI-YIN asks for SIU-NAM’s opinion on HOK-LAI’s case but he becomes very emotional after listening to him. He loses his temper in front of SAI-TING and SAI-TING runs away again angrily. SIU-NAM believes that the calling record from HOK-LAI to SAI-TING is a fake one and he reveals this to SING-YUE.… ...

After investigating the dead body, the DNA of the suspect is found and SING-YUE is overjoyed. After breaking up with SAI-YIN, CHOR-KIU moves to a village house to start anew. Based on the DNA, SING-YUE concludes that a man called MICHAEL is involved to the murdering case. SING-YUE and his team discover that MICHAEL is homosexual but MICHAEL’s wife insists that this is a rumor only. PATRICK discovers that somebody has sneaked into the pottery workshop to make a mess and he reports it to the police. SAI-YIN watches everything coldly without giving any comments. On Wednesday evening, another dead body is found. The police are very nervous for this seems be done by the serial killer again. SING-YUE fails to find MICHAEL and he asks SIU-NAM for help. LAI-HING doesn’t know how to help SIU-NAM so she asks SAI-YIN to help persuading him to stop helping SING-YUE. When trying to go out with SAI-YIN, SIU-NAM suddenly visualizes himself fighting with a drunken man and he is enlightened. SAI-YIN drinks alone in the pub again and ERIC suddenly appears. ERIC persuades SAI-YIN to find the serial murder and SAI-YIN is also interested to do so. LAI-HING brings SAI-TING to visit the doctor again and she is shocked to discover that SAI-TING is singing CHI-YING’s favorite song in childhood. When KELLY helps SAI-YIN to tidy up his place, SAI-YIN tries to seduce her again. KELLY doesn’t really want it but she finally sleep with SAI-YIN. However, SAI-YIN sleeps with KELLY only because he wants to test if KELLY is the serial killer. SIU-NAM worries that CHOR-KIU will lose hope in love after the separation with SAI-YIN.… ...

SAI-YIN believes that KELLY is the “Wednesday Serial Killer” and he worries that SIU-NAM will discover it soon. KELLY is upset that SAI-YIN didn’t mention to CHOR-KIU that they have become lovers. ERIC and the others worry that KELLY will disclose SAI-YIN’s secret to the police. They persuade SAI-YIN to kill KELLY. CHOR-KIU has dated SIU-NAM to watch the full moon together. She goes to the supermarket to buy a lot of food for preparing dinner. However, SAI-TING suddenly arrives with crabs for she wants to have dinner with SIU-NAM and LAI-HING…

SING-YUE is no longer investigating the Wednesday Serial Killer’s case. He decides to imitate SIU-NAM by imagining that he is the suspect when investigating a crime case and his subordinates find it strange. SING-YUE asks KIN-HO to check out the information of SHUM CHI-CHUNG, a serial killer three years ago, for he believes that CHI-CHUNG is related to the recent serial killer case. SAI-YIN and SIU-NAM go to a movie production meeting together but SIU-NAM doesn’t have the courage to reveal to SAI-YIN that he is dating with CHOR-KIU. SAI-TING persuades CHOR-KIU to start anew with SAI-YIN but CHOR-KIU reveals that she has a new lover already. SAI-TING doesn’t want SAI-YIN to be lonely all the time so she decides to work as his assistant temporarily. KIN-HO asks SIU-NAM to help elaborating the Wednesday Serial Killer’s case and CHI-CHUNG’s case. On the other hand, SAI-YIN suddenly receives a message from the Wednesday Serial Killer…

SIU-NAM finally announces his relationship with CHOR-KIU to everybody. He brings CHOR-KIU to dinner with LAI-HING. YAT-KEI mentions about SAI-TING during the dinner and SIU-NAM is very embarrassed. SAI-YIN and ERIC try to elaborate who is the serial killer but they fail. SAI-YIN keeps following SIU-NAM and CHOR-KIU. He accidentally discovers that SING-YUE is following CHOR-KIU as well. SING-YUE stays in the village house where CHI-CHUNG has committed the crime long time ago for he wants to feel the inner world of CHI-CHUNG. SING-YUE brings CHOR-KIU to the police station to question her. CHOR-KIU is startled and she resists him agitatedly. KIN-HO and his supervisor come to rescue CHOR-KIU. SIU-NAM returns home from shopping and he discovers that CHOR-KIU is missing. SING-YUE has abducted CHOR-KIU to the village house where CHI-CHUNG has committed crime and he hopes to find the other partners of CHI-CHUNG…

SAI-YIN arrives at the village house and he is shocked to discover some broken pieces of a prosthetic limb there. SIU-NAM is very worried but CHOR-KIU suddenly calls him and tells him that she is safe. KIN-HO learns that SING-YUE’s car is discovered at the hillside. KIN-HO and CHUN-WAI worry that the serial killer has killed SING-YUE already. KIN-HO suggests to his supervisor that they could seek help from SIU-NAM for searching SING-YUE. With the help of SIU-NAM, they discover that some corners of the village house have been treated with bleach solution. After thinking through the case carefully, SIU-NAM cannot deny that CHOR-KIU is suspicious. CHOR-KIU goes home in YIU-WING’s taxi and she recalls her untold past. She also recalls the shocking scene when she first saw SAI-YIN in Jekyll bar. SAI-YIN sneaks into CHOR-KIU’s bedroom at night. CHOR-KIU is asleep and SAI-YIN finds it really hard to kill her…

CHOR-KIU believes that SAI-YIN has discovered her secret already and she worries that SAI-YIN’s senseless behaviour will ruin her long-time plan. CHOR-KIU finally discovers the truth about SAI-YIN. She crosses the street nervously when the red light is on and the police capture her. CHOR-KIU’s sister-in-law KIT-YUK accompanies her home and KIT-YUK’s words inspire CHOR-KIU a lot. CHOR-KIU finally makes a decision… SIU-NAM goes to have lunch with STANLEY and he is shocked to learn that CHOR-KIU has canceled her business trip to Taiwan. LAI-HING finds that SIU-NAM is not concentrating on his works at all and he tries not to pick up CHOR-KIU’s call as well. LAI-HING feels that the problem between SIU-NAM and CHOR-KIU is not easy to solve. SAI-YIN believes that CHOR-KIU will reunite with him after knowing everything but CHOR-KIU suddenly captures SAI-YIN with handcuffs…

CHOR-KIU has died and the Wednesday Serial Killer's case is over but SAI-TING and the others are still disturbed by the reporters all the time. SIU-NAM thinks through the case carefully and he finds it strange that CHOR-KIU takes up the responsibility in this way. SIU-NAM goes to the village house where CHOR-KIU used to live. He meets SAI-YIN there and they start an argument with each other. KIN-HO reveals to SIU-NAM that the police suspects that SAI-YIN is involved in CHOR-KIU's case and they asks SIU-NAM to help. With the support of CHUN-TO, SIU-NAM investigates SAI-YIN's background and he discovers that the fire at karaoke had a great influence on SAI-YIN's state of mind. SIU-NAM gradually gets hold of SAI-YIN's inner world and he also discovers ERIC and the others. SAI-YIN sneaks into SIU-NAM's home and MARTIN suggests him to kill SIU-NAM.… ...

Looking at YAT-KEI's dead body, SAI-YIN doesn't know what to do. SAI-YIN rushes out to the street. He meets SAI-TING there and he pulls her to the car nervously. SAI-TING is shocked to learn about what SAI-YIN has done. She insists to get out of the car in the busy road and is knocked down by a car accidentally. KIN-HO reveals to SIU-NAM that YAT-KEI was killed by a robber. SIU-NAM checks through the missing items and he finds it suspicious that CHOR-KIU's prosthetic arm has gone. SIU-NAM learns that SAI-TING is injured and he rushes to the hospital. He meets SAI-YIN there and they start a quarrel again. SAI-YIN and KELLY go to visit SAI-TING at the hospital but SAI-TING is missing. SIU-NAM asks KIN-HO to help searching for SAI-TING and CHUN-TO stays by his side to console him. LAI-HING suddenly asks SIU-NAM to visit her and SIU-NAM is shocked to find the injured SAI-TING there.

KIN-HO invites SAI-YIN to the police station to question him and SIU-NAM suddenly arrives with a lawyer. Representing SAI-TING, the lawyer reveals to SAI-YIN that he should not get in touch with SAI-TING anymore. SIU-NAM also claims that SAI-TING has told them that SAI-YIN was involved in the kidnap case long time ago. SAI-TING is recovering gradually and she wants to visit SAI-YIN with SIU-NAM. When staying alone with SAI-YIN, SAI-TING reveals her secret thoughts to him. SAI-TING persuades SAI-YIN to join the magic contest in USA and forget everything in Hong Kong. In a heavy state of mind, SAI-YIN eventually goes to USA with KELLY. LAI-HING tries to accompany SAI-TING all the time for she wants to improve their relationship and SAI-TING is stressed with their expectations. LAI-HING sends her family golden ring to SAI-TING and SAI-TING feels shameful to accept this heirloom. SIU-NAM discovers SAI-YIN's home key left by SAI-TING and he sneaks into SAI-YIN's home to carry out investigation. SIU-NAM tries to put himself into SAI-YIN's world and he finally gets hold of SAI-YIN's complicated state of mind. After the fight with SAI-YIN at CHOR-KIU's place, SIU-NAM's mind is seriously disturbed and he sleeps all day to hide away from the reality. SAI-TING resumes her work after rest and all her colleagues are worried for her. SAI-TING goes to the workshop to terminate the tenancy and she meets SANDY there. SANDY says that someone has invited her to discuss a magic performance there. SAI-TING is puzzled and SIU-NAM suddenly arrives. SIU-NAM believes that he is SAI-YIN and SAI-TING urges him to wake up from his imagination. However, SIU-NAM finally convinces SAI-TING to let it be. SIU-NAM talks to LAI-HING just like before and LAI-HING drinks a glass of beverage with sleeping powder carelessly. CHEUK-KWAN dines with SAI-TING and SAI-TING is deeply inspired by his mature thinking. SAI-TING rushes to stop SIU-NAM from performing a dangerous magic show but SIU-NAM stuns her agitatedly...
