Nelson is shocked to see Rose praying to a Hindu goddess but she reminds him that even the statue of Jesus was right next to it. Hamilton tells Nelson that they need to break the morale of the subjects of Jhansi. Nelson says that Laxmibai will now come as Kranti Guru to tackle the British but he will be alert this time! In Jhansi, Kranti Guru is surprised to hear about a reward from the British on her head as well as for anyone providing information about her. She feels dejected hearing the traders voicing their disapproval against her for rebelling against the British and returns to her hideout. Rose ends up being a messiah for a hungry Damodar and the others when she brings food for them. Rose informs Laxmibai about the British battalion arriving to take Jhansi's treasury away.

Captain Bheem informs Nelson that he is not Karma. Laxmi Bai combats British troops at Jhansi's border. She loses to Bheem and is chained and sees Bheem getting Jhansi's treasury.

A wicked Nelson decides to share his joy of having Laxmibai sealed in a barrel by parading her before the people of Jhansi to see. Meanwhile, Karma who is accompanying Dunlop to Gwalior with Jhansi's treasury, asks his soldiers to take a tea break. He then writes a letter to Mangal Pandey saying that Jhansi's treasury was being taken to Gwalior and that it must be returned to Queen Laxmibai. Karma also states that he regrets to have raised his hands on his dear queen and vows to protect his sister. However, the letter falls into the hands of Dunlop! Raghunath and Tatya Tope decide to implement their next plan of action. On the other hand, Nelson tells the subjects of Jhansi that the Queen of Jhansi was inside the barrel. When they refuse to believe him, he opens the barrel as proof.

Rose frees Laxmi Bai with an axe. Both cannot exit Jhansi's palace due to the tight security for a Valentine's Day party. An anglicised Tatya Tope and Raghunath slyly enter the party. Seeing her non-existent portrait's frame, Laxmi Bai remembers her time with Gangadhar. She plans to determine where Captain Bheem is with Jhansi's treasury. Tatya Tope and Raghunath narrowly evade Nelson. An anglicised Laxmi Bai hears Nelson gloat about Britain's win over Jhansi and Laxmi Bai's capture.

Rose presents Laxmi Bai to Nelson as her friend. Killing Nelson's aide, Tatya Tope and Raghunath don't find Laxmi Bai in the drum. Laxmi Bai reunites with the two. Captain Bheem seeks to visit Rampur to meet Mangal Pandey and orders a detour to Gwalior. He and his Indian moles kill the suspicious British officers. Due to a nearly dead Dunlop's scribbling on mud, Nelson assumes that Jhansi's treasury is in Rampur. Laxmi Bai's plot hoodwinks Nelson into thinking that she has it somewhere else.

Tatya Tope and Raghunath send Nelson on a wild goose chase. Laxmi Bai, who is disguised as Rana Bankura, and Karma, under the alias of a moneylender, fight for the treasury. An unveiled Laxmi Bai points out Rana Bankura's sacrifices for her land's freedom. When Karma sheds his disguise, she accuses Captain Bheem of treachery. He reveals how he became Captain Bheem to use Jhansi's treasury to fund India's freedom struggle and talks of British sepoy Mangal Pandey's secret patriotic leadership.

At Rampur's police base, Nelson kills an Indian patriot, accuses Karma of fooling the Britons and shoots him. Before he can unveil Rana Bankura, Mangal Pandey and his fellow sepoys kill British troops. Rana Bankura wounds Nelson's eye and unveils herself. Pandey realises she is Jhansi's queen, saves her from being shot by Nelson and reveals to her he is a British sepoy in Barrackpore. The two laud each other's valour. Nelson slits one of his Indian captors and uses the other as a shield to flee.

A one-eyed Nelson dodges Laxmi Bai. Lord Dalhousie visits Gwalior's British commissary to see Jhansi's treasury. Laxmi Bai informs Tatya Tope and her aides that Mangal Pandey had saved her life and Jhansi's treasury. She confers the treasury to Pandey to use it to free India. Nelson decides to use Rose slyly to reach Laxmi Bai and the treasury. Nelson telegraphs Lord Dalhousie that the British don't have Jhansi's treasury. Pandey plots Lord Dalhousie's killing to destabilise the British empire.

Rana Bankura loots Indian traders selling opium to the British. A British officer informs Lord Dalhousie about Laxmi Bai's key military aides, including Mangal Pandey. Pandey leaves for Barrackpore after being told that the British are killing revolutionary Indian troops there. Laxmi Bai plans to use Jhansi's forces to ambush Lord Dalhousie in Kumaanganj. Rao Dulhajo informs Nelson that Laxmi Bai is aware of Lord Dalhousie's impending arrival in Jhansi. Eunuchs block Nelson in pursuit of Rose.

Bithur's forces arrive and inform Laxmi Bai that the British seek to control Bithur. Laxmi Bai emotionally orders Tatya Tope to go there to protect Bithur. Chimna Bai angrily says that Laxmi Bai will struggle to defeat the British without her key aides. Laxmi Bai orders Raghunath to arrange a few actors and seeks an English cigar from Karma. In Kumaanganj, Indian opium traders are rewarded by Lord Dalhousie. Karma, disguised as an opium trader, slyly makes him smoke an opium cigar, dazing him.

Laxmi Bai and her aides take over Kumaanganj's British base after a bloody fight and hold Lord Dalhousie hostage. Rana Bankura telegraphs key British centres in India and demands Jhansi's handover to Laxmi Bai and the opium trade's stoppage. Humiliated British authorities agree to hand over Jhansi to Laxmi Bai. Nelson informs Lord Canning, the new Governor General, that he has a plan to kill Lord Dalhousie. Rao Dulhajo reveals to Laxmi Bai that Lord Dalhousie had masterminded Gangadhar's murder.

Seeing Rann Bankura, Nelson is certain that it is indeed Laxmibai. Nelson tells her that she will get Jhansi back but they would want Lord Dalhousie alive! Lord Dalhousie comes out of the cart, and Nelson is stunned to see him alive. Ellis tells Nelson that it was time for him to leave. Rose too bids goodbye to Laxmibai.Tatya Tope and Mangal Pandey are delighted to hear that Laxmibai has got back her Jhansi. Moropant is very proud of his daughter, so Chimnabai taunts that Laxmibai got Jhansi back only because a lot of blood was shed! Meanwhile, Laxmibai enters her palace. She exhorts her subjects to drive out every Englishman from India. Meanwhile, Lord Dalhousie is asked to leave India because of the shame he brought to the East India Company. Moropant is asked to crown Laxmibai on her victory and says that he is very proud of her. He then presents her with weapons. Laxmibai vows to protect Jhansi at all cost. On the other hand, Nelson vows to get back at Laxmibai.

Nelson informs Hamilton that he plans to create religious schisms in Jhansi. At Ghaus Khan's request, Laxmi Bai allows a Shia Muslim religious procession on Jhansi's soil. In her dear royal chamber ransacked by the British, Laxmi Bai finds a sketch of hers with Gangadhar. Nelson sees Rose with Laxmi Bai's sketch and puts her under house arrest. In the palace, Laxmi Bai remembers her fond time with Gangadhar and British betrayal of Jhansi. She tearfully burns Gangadhar's attire worn by Nelson.

Ghaus Khan thanks Laxmi Bai for finding an appropriate spot for 'taziya'. Raghunath proclaims that Hindus and Muslims will always live together in peace. Rose overhears Nelson and Rao Dulhajo plotting against Laxmi Bai. Disguised as a pundit, Dulhajo trips over the idol of Goddess Saraswati that he had placed. The people celebrating 'Basant' festival take it as a good omen and rush to claim the land, creating a tiff between them and the Muslims. Rose informs Laxmi Bai about Nelson's conspiracy.

On Rose's warning, Laxmi Bai rushes towards the land where the riot breaks out between the Hindus and the Muslims. She finds two women, one Hindu and the other a Muslim in labour. She asks the fathers of the babies to recognise which one of them belongs to which religion. She spills Karma and Ghaus Khan's blood and puts acroos the same question. When everyone fails to answer, Laxmi Bai urges them to unite against their real enemy, the British. She announces that the land belongs to all of them.

Laxmi Bai warns Nelson that the British empire will fall. Inspired by Laxmi Bai, the Indians in every state start challenging the British. At Lord Canning's orders, the British loot the trade provisions going out of Jhansi and look for Laxmi Bai's allies. Nana Saheb accepts the pension which Hillersdon, the Collector of Kanpur, offers him to leave Bithoor. Under the disguise of Rana Bankura, Laxmi Bai surrounds Nelson and is surprised to see another Rana Bankura present.

Laxmi Bai sees Nelson arresting and whipping Rana, taking her to be Laxmi Bai. When she tries to save Rana, Tatya Tope stops her from exposing herself. Laxmi Bai asks everyone to keep Rana's arrest a secret and let them continue to believe that Laxmi Bai is arrested. Rana writes a letter to Laxmi Bai asking her to stop worrying about her. When Rana's husband comes looking for her, Laxmi Bai realises that Rana is Jhalkari Bai. Laxmi Bai promises to save Jhalkari Bai.

The people of Jhansi try to stop Nelson and his men from taking Jhalkari away, and Laxmi Bai gets ready to leave for Kanpur. Nelson puts a sword against Jhalkari's neck but is interrupted by a messenger who informs him that Lord Canning will execute Jhalkari the next morning. A drunk Nelson finds a letter by Laxmi Bai saying that he will release her. Aided by her comrades, Laxmi Bai appears before Nelson who is shocked to see her free and runs to check. Laxmi Bai hits him and rescues Jhalkari.

Nelson's superior warns him that he will have to exit India ignominiously if he doesn't nab Laxmi Bai. Laxmi Bai tells Jhansi's cheery locals that the Britons had never held her hostage. Nelson finds a 'mangalsutra' and suspects that it could belong to Laxmi Bai's lookalike. Laxmi Bai tells Rose what a 'mangalsutra' means.

Nelson's bundle with Jhalkari's 'mangalsutra' in it, falls down. Laxmi Bai gives it to him. She tells Tatya Tope to scan Jhansi to track Nelson. A drunk Pooran tells Nelson's Indian traitor about Jhalkari and Laxmi Bai's friendly bond and agrees to take them to the palace for Jhalkari's 'gauna'.

Laxmi Bai urges Tatya Tope to watch out for Nelson's presence. A disguised Nelson joins Pooran's entourage to attend his wife Jhalkari Bai's marital 'gauna' and sneaks into Jhansi's royal palace to see Jhalkari Bai. After Laxmi Bai sees him, Hariya takes him away. Laxmi Bai applies 'tilak' on the entourage's members, including Nelson. Karma soon confirms her evidential suspicion that he is indeed Nelson. A blackened Jhalkari is presented to the guests as part of a ritual, which fools Nelson.

The anglicised Yuvraj hears his pro-British father assuring the British governor that they would help the Britons nab the pro-people rebel Rana Bankura. Laxmi Bai rules in favour of a widow's remarriage. Tatya Tope informs Laxmi Bai that many anti-British states are in touch with Jhansi. As his mother says that she has found a bride for him, Kunwar reminisces lovingly his encounter with Manu as a child.

Nelson uses a naive Rose to tell Laxmi Bai that a barrister plans to present proof against Pandey. Nelson plans to trap Laxmi Bai while she, as Ran Bankura, and Karma try to seize the proof.

Karma, disguised as Ran Bankura, throws grenades in Yuvraj's gig's path, uprooting him. As Nelson and his sepoys follow Karma, Laxmi Bai, disguised as Ran Bankura, berates Yuvraj for being a traitor. Their fight makes Yuvraj almost fall off a cliff. As Laxmi Bai and Karma flee with Yuvraj's legal handbag, Nelson shoots her, but the bullet kills King Shivraj.

Tatya Tope, a Kanpur battalion and Laxmi Bai plan to free Pandey from being hanged. En route to Barrackpore with Yuvraj, a disguised Karma overhears Nelson's plan to incite Modh-Jhansi enmity.

A disguised Karma overhears Yuvraj telling Nelson that Mangal Pandey's secret hanging will occur in Chirgaon. As Karma drives Yuvraj and Nelson to Chirgaon, a philosophising fakir annoys Yuvraj and Nelson. The fakir later hands Karma's message to Laxmi Bai, which reveals the way to the hanging site. Yuvraj and Nelson's soldiers ambush Karma. En route to the site, Laxmi Bai's loyalists and pro-British troops fight bloodily. Laxmi Bai opens a gig thinking that Pandey is inside, but finds Yuvraj.

Yuvraj, disguised as the executed patriot Mangal Pandey, traps Laxmi Bai, who has disguised herself as Ran Bankura. Nelson shoots Tatya Tope and batters Laxmi Bai as she is about to reveal to Yuvraj Nelson's deadly truth. Laxmi Bai is jailed in Modh's royal prison. Having immersed his father's ashes, Yuvraj welcomes his neighbouring allies, including Bithur's Nana Saheb, to his swearing-in ceremony. Amidst a national anti-British uprising, King Yuvraj shows a wounded Ran Bankura to Nana.

Nelson knows that the chained Ran Bankura is Jhansi's queen. As Nana Saheb sees cautiously, Ran Bankura accepts vaguely in the hostile Modh court that she killed Yuvraj's father and desists from revealing that Nelson has killed King Yuvraj's father as Nelson had threatened her that Karma would be butchered if she told the truth. Gayatri's pro-Nelson father wants a mad elephant to fatally crush Ran Bankura and vainly orders her unveiling. Ran Bankura convinces King Yuvraj to kill her in a duel.

After the Peshwa fights Modh's king, a sore Ran Bankura and Modh's king start a three-round sword fight. A hurt Tatya Tope, Ghaus Khan and Raghunath seek to free Laxmi Bai and Karma. Ran Bankura wins the first round, during which Nana Saheb recalls Manu's sword fighting. In the second round, Ran Bankura's sword poisons King Yuvraj. Rousing people's fury for Ran Bankura, Tikka Singh, who had poisoned her sword, summons a mad elephant to kill her. Karma is dragged to be hung.

Tatya Tope, Raghunath and Ghaus Khan save Karma. The three kill Modh's forces and leave with Ran Bankura after she tames the elephant. Laxmi Bai's horse, intimidated by Larai Sarkar, gets separated from Tatya Tope and Ghaus Khan. Larai Sarkar unveils Ran Bankura and accuses her of destabilising her reign. Accusing Laxmi Bai of killing her brother-in-law King Shivraj and her army commander, and of being a riotous ruler, Larai Sarkar sentences her to death as Nelson and her other allies watch.

Amidst insinuations that Laxmi Bai killed her son and husband for power, she berates India's rulers' treachery. Nelson sarcastically lauds Laxmi Bai's nationalism. In Modh, Larai Sarkar informs Nelson that Hamilton had betrayed her state. Nelson assures her that a treaty will gift her Jhansi's administrative control. Tatya Tope and Ghaus Khan vow to free Laxmi Bai.

Larai Sarkar vows Laxmi Bai's sacrifice at a Maa Kali temple once her coronation as Jhansi's queen takes place. A tired Laxmi Bai's refusal to order the opening of Jhansi's city gate angers them. Moropant convinces a sceptical Narsingh to open the city gate at the Nana Saheb's request. A shock awaits them.

A disguised Rose hears Laxmi Bai's mutinous speeches addressing the natives and avoids capture by Karma. Laxmi Bai realises that Rose's mission has started in Jhansi.

Karma, who has Rose's sketch, inspects a Christian priest and an accompanying coffin. Suspecting the priest, Laxmi Bai follows him to a church, where she sees Rose, who has emerged from the coffin. At Jhansi's court, Rose cunningly convinces Laxmi Bai to attend a peace party with Queen Victoria and other Indian royals close to Jhansi.

The departed Gangadhar advises Laxmi Bai to adhere to her decision to meet Queen Victoria in the face of popular dissent. As Rose is escorted out of the palace by Rao Dulhajo, she overhears Karma's wish to kill him. In a secret meet with her royal Indian allies in Rao Dulhajo's presence, Laxmi Bai declares her plan to detonate an explosives-filled cake during the peace ball on June 1 to kill top British officers, and she gets popular backing. Queen Victoria authorises Rose to finish Laxmi Bai.

Karma suspects an Indian mole's presence in the Jhansi camp. Queen Victoria wants Rao Dulhajo to be rewarded for his British loyalty. Rao Dulhajo exposes Laxmi Bai's deadly plan for the peace ball to Rose. At Rose's bureau, Nana Saheb realises that Queen Victoria has ordered the British military reinforcements for the ball and tells the Jhansi royalty about Rao Dulhajo's treachery. Laxmi Bai doesn't alter her plan for the ball. Queen Victoria wants the revolutionaries killed during the ball.

Edward informs Queen Victoria that the British sharpshooters are in India for the peace ball to kill Laxmi Bai and her allies. Tatya Tope's archery nearly kills Rao Dulhajo. At the ball, Nana Saheb ensures that Ghaus Khan, Rao Dulhajo, Raghunath and Tatya Tope enter the kitchen. The four and a disguised Karma try to link the bomb to the cake. Laxmi Bai informs the fencer, Captain Mac, about the oppressive British past in India. His racist condescension for Indian culture incenses Larai Sarkar.

Captain Mac provokes Larai Sarkar into fencing. After making the British troops leave the kitchen by giving them laxatives, Tatya Tope, Ghaus Khan and Raghunath make Rao Dulhajo link the bomb to the cake. The British sharpshooters activate their deadly plan. As Mac outshines Larai Sarkar, a sharpshooter aims at Laxmi Bai but can't kill her due to Tatya Tope blocking his vision. Before Larai Sarkar loses officially, Laxmi Bai challenges Mac to fence. Rose urges Mac to kill her while fencing.

Larai Sarkar admits to Laxmi Bai that Mac had insulted Jhansi's queen to provoke her. Mac and Laxmi Bai fence, with the former needing only a point to win. The snipers are told to kill Laxmi Bai on receiving an instruction. While fencing, Laxmi Bai notices the snipers and alerts Nana Saheb to it. As Laxmi Bai's ideal fencing trounces Mac, Tatya Tope's placement of a poisonous bomb kills the snipers. Laxmi Bai informs her royal Indian allies at the peace ball that the Indian nationalists need to execute their plan. Rao Dulhajo informs Rose that there's a bomb in the cake. Rose refuses to cut the cake and provokes the Indian contingent. Amidst Indian unease, Laxmi Bai whispers to Larai Sarkar that the cake-cutting is necessary for the nationalists' success. A disguised Karma stops Dulhajo as he flees the venue. As Laxmi Bai is about to cut the cake, Rose and a few Britons move away from it.

When Laxmi Bai cuts the cake, there's no blast. A carriage explodes away from the ball's site, seemingly killing Rose, Mac and two more Britons. Fearing a blast, Rao Dulhajo and Hamilton flee from the cake but are nabbed by the patriots. Laxmi Bai and Karma explain the Indian plan that led to the unexpected events. Tatya Tope reveals the British bases being bombed outside Jhansi. Hamilton is told to flee and tell Queen Victoria about Jhansi's freedom and India's impending freedom on June 23.

Rao Dulajo is publicly tortured in Jhansi by the subjects. They demand that his body be thrown out of Jhansi. Laxmibai then exhorts her subjects to unite to destroy their enemies like Hugh Rose. Karma and Ghaus Khan visit the site of explosion and get worried when they realise that one British officer has escaped. They convey this bad news to Laxmibai and the others. Karma says that he suspects it is Hugh Rose. Laxmibai asks everyone to be on high alert. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose promises to seek revenge from Laxmibai. In England, Queen Victoria is furious hearing about the turn of events. She is then informed that Hugh Rose is still alive. Meanwhile, Nana Saheb tells Laxmibai that if the powerful kings of Gwalior, Datia and Banda join the revolution, then they could be victorious in acquiring independence.

A fit Rose, who has been ordered by Queen Victoria to foil Laxmi Bai's deadly plan for June 23, and Hamilton kill a pro-Laxmi Bai entourage from Gwalior. Damodar and Jhansi's kids participate in Ram Leela. Hamilton and Rose, disguised as Gwalior's entourage, enter Jhansi, hold hostage a pro-Jhansi missionary and his Christian converts at its commissary. King Yuvraj realises that Laxmi Bai is his boyhood's feisty Manu, whom he hasn't forgotten.

Moropant tells Laxmibai that Yuvraj is none other than the boy she had defeated in the game of `kabbadi'. He tells Laxmibai that he has learnt the truth about his father's death and thanks her for seeking revenge from Nelson for his father's death. He further asserts that he wants to join her in the revolution against the British. Meanwhile, Hamilton suggests to Hugh Rose to divert Laxmibai's mind from her goal. Later, Laxmibai is shocked to receive a letter from the King of Scindia about his refusal to join the June 23 revolution, little realising that it is a British ploy. Back in the palace, the prize distribution ceremony for children is on, but when Damodar's name is announced for the best performer, he does not turn up.

Damodar regains consciousness and starts banging on the chest, so Hugh Rose renders him unconscious again. When they are locking Damodar in the chest, his ring falls on the ground. A worried Laxmibai goes searching for Damodar and comes across his ring. She then realises that he has been kidnapped. Meanwhile, Tatya Tope orders Hugh Rose who is in disguise to open the chest but finds nothing. Just then, they hear a child crying and run towards the cart. However, it turns out to be another child. Hugh Rose takes this chance and escapes from Jhansi with the chest. On the other hand, Rao Dulajo asks Hamilton to recognise him. After leaving Jhansi, Hugh Rose recalls how Rao Dulajo had got the chests exchanged and kept Damodar in the commissionerate itself! Laxmibai and her confidantes fight with Hamilton and his men, and so does Rao Dulajo. Just then, Damodar cries out to her mother to save him but Hamilton takes Damodar away. However, Laxmibai manages to rescue him from Hamilton. She ties Damodar on her back and chases Hamilton. Laxmibai then throws a rope at him and drags him. Hamilton gets surrounded by Laxmibai and her confidantes, including Rao Dulajo. She beheads Hamilton and then burn him as a shocked Hugh Rose watches the incident from a distance. An injured Laxmibai refuses to get herself treated till Damodar recovers. Later, Laxmibai and Moropant are delighted when Damodar regains consciousness but their happiness is short-lived when they learn that he has lost his voice. Meanwhile, Raghunath informs Laxmibai that the enraged subjects of Jhansi want even the missionaries sent out of their kingdom because they believe that the missionaries had supported the East India Company in kidnapping Damodar. At the commissionerate, Ghaus Khan is unable to continue the fury of the mob at the commissionerate. Raghunath requests Moropant to pacify the subjects of Jhansi. When the news about Damodar losing his voice reaches the mob, their fury knows no bounds! Moropant intervenes and pleads them to support their queen in this time of crisis.

The messenger informs Laddi that she has been summoned to the palace as the prince had stopped smiling and may have lost his voice. Laxmibai voices her worries to Gangadhar and vows to save Jhansi and its throne. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose is informed that the missionaries are being sent to Jhokan Baug to protect them. When Raghunath is taking away the missionaries, they are confronted by the subjects of Jhansi. A man in the crowd named Bakshish Ali voices his anger against the British. Ghaus Khan tells Raghunath that Bakshish Ali once worked for the British but had turned against them when the British had killed his family. Bakshish Ali and Ghaus Khan get into a war of words with the former inciting the crowd to attack the missionaries because they were responsible for the prince losing his voice but Raghunath stops them and asks them to heed their queen. Ghaus Khan asks them to wait for the queen's decision.

Laxmibai recalls Gangadhar saying that he would never touch English medicines, so she declines the doctor's help. Laxmibai says that she is sure there must be some Indian who will cure her son. Just then, Laddi arrives and displays her antics. Damodar smiles and Laxmibai rewards Laddi. Laxmibai asks Laddi to stay in the palace so that Damodar can recover fully. Meanwhile, an enraged Bakshish Ali is refused permission to meet Laxmibai, so he turns violent. The Prime Minister and Moropant go to meet the angry mob who demand the blood of the missionaries. Laxmibai then declares that the missionaries must leave Jhansi if its subjects were unhappy. However, she asserts that they would not be harmed as long as they were in Jhansi. On the other hand, Hugh Rose refuses to save the missionaries.

Moropant tells Laxmibai that he would write a letter to inform the subjects about the same. When Moropant is writing the letter, he goes to get the royal seal, and just then, Damodar takes the letter away. Moropant runs behind him. Damodar hits against a pillar and drops the letter before collapsing. A man exchanges the letter. Meanwhile, Moropant takes Laddi into confidence and says that they must find a way to get the English medicines for Damodar. Laddi goes out of the palace and gets the English medicines. On her way back, Laddi sees English soldiers dressing up as locals and planning a massacre. Back in the palace, Moropant then puts the royal seal on the letter without reading it and gives it to the Prime Minister. On the other hand, Ghaus Khan reads the queen's decision and is shocked that she wants the missionaries killed!

She wants a communique to be sent to the leaders of the Indian states, requesting them to join Jhansi against the Britons.

The tribals refuse to trust Laxmi Bai and so do the others. Laxmi Bai defends herself, and the revolutionaries pledge their allegiance to the freedom movement. On seeing someone eavesdropping, Laxmi Bai follows him and chances upon a telegraphic machine being used to communicate with the British and finds a finger ring in the machine. Karma is absconding and, being the only one who knows how to operate the telegraphic machine, everyone suspects him. Karma admits that the finger ring is his.

A wounded Karma sees Laddi sending a telex message to Rose, apprising him of the venue for the meeting of the revolutionaries in Gwalior. Laxmi Bai leaves alone for the battle and sees Kali, a tribal girl. Kali finds Karma, who has been knifed by Laddi.

Capturing Laxmi Bai's fellow revolutionaries, Rose holds her at gunpoint. A fearless Laxmi Bai threatens Rose, who confirms her suspicion that Laddi is the British mole in her palace. Laxmi Bai gets shot and Karma, along with Kali and her fellow tribals, joins Laxmi Bai. In combat, Laxmi Bai and Karma get gravely injured. Before escaping, Laxmi Bai hoists Jhansi's flag on the cantonment. Upon seeing the arrival of a lifeless Laxmi Bai and Karma on horseback, Laddi decides to kill Damodar.

He challenges Raghunath for a duel and, faking his disability, overpowers him. Rao Dulhajo removes the fake sixth toe from his feet and is pleased with his feat.

From the Orchha gate, where he is deputed, he calls his name loud and clear for the British to hear. Kashi questions him.

Chimna Bai is worried for Moropant. Laxmi Bai tries to stop Rao Dulhajo, who opens the other gates of Jhansi. Laxmi Bai faces Rose and his army alone.

Kali and her Women's Army arrive to help Laxmibai fight Hugh Rose and his men! A bitter fight ensues. Karma informs that there is a huge British contingent waiting outside Jhansi. Laxmibai's confidantes advise Laxmibai to get inside the Fort of Jhansi and attack the British. Seeing that the British were numerically stronger than them, Laxmibai agrees to go to the fort. All the citizens of Jhansi are brought inside the palace. Meanwhile, just as they enter the palace, Laxmibai sees Damodar waiting outside. Hugh Rose begins firing around Damodar. Laxmibai goes to save him. Karma and Raghunath too arrive just in and rescue Laxmibai and Damodar. Meanwhile, the East India Company hoists their flag in Jhansi.

In the palace, Kashi succumbs to her injuries but before breathing her last, she apologises to Laxmibai for failing to protect the Orchha exit. Laxmibai vows to Rao Dulajo that she will seek vengeance from him for Kashi's death. Just then, Ghaus Khan fires at the British camp but Hugh Rose manages to remain unscathed. Laxmibai tries to fire the cannon but it does not work! Raghunath informs Laxmibai that all the cannons were rendered useless! Laxmibai asks Ghaus Khan to repair them. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo suggests to Hugh Rose to hide in a mausoleum with his men. The British continue to fire at Laxmibai's men from there but Laxmibai's soldiers watch helplessly.

Laxmibai vows not to let Ghaus Khan's sacrifice go a waste. Laxmibai orders that his last rites be observed as per the Islamic customs. Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo tells Hugh Rose that Laxmibai has no cannons nor does anybody know how to make explosives. However, Hugh Rose is worried because he has no cannons and his army is depleting. Rao Dulajo tells him of a plan. At the palace, there is nobody to offer the last prayers to Ghaus Khan, so Laxmibai asks Bakshish Ali, a once sworn enemy of Ghaus Khan, to do the needful. On the other hand, Rao Dulajo reaches with his men near the granary of the palace and burns it, while Karma and Kali fight Hugh Rose and his men. Laxmibai and the others finish with the formalities of burying Ghaus Khan. She then runs towards the granary and finds the food grains on fire. Just then, an explosion occurs and Laxmibai is injured. Seeing this, Hugh Rose orders a ceasefire.

With already enough troubles in her hand, Laxmibai is shocked to find even the water adulterated. Laxmibai feels helpless seeing her citizens, especially children, hungry. Inside the palace, Chimnabai taunts Moropant that her unborn baby has to remain hungry because of Laxmibai! Laxmibai arrives then and sees that her maid is about to feed Damodar. She narrates the story of Lord Krishna to Damodar who had only one morsel of rice when he had unexpectedly come to meet Draupadi, so Damodar too has only one grain of rice. Laxmibai gives the food to Chimnabai. Overwhelmed, Chimnabai refuses to have the food at the cost of Damodar remaining hungry. Karma and Laxmibai are relieved when they see that sacks of food grains have arrived. However, they get shocked seeing the mutilated body of a food trader! Laxmibai reads the letter sent by Hugh Rose saying that his men were hungrier, so they decided to keep the ration for themselves!

Help arrives in the form of Tatya Tope who arrives in Jhansi with his battalion. Laxmibai meets her wounded soldiers and tends to them. She then exhorts them to fight for their motherland. The soldiers promise to fight against the British till their last breath! Tatya Tope discusses his strategy against the British with his men. Thousands of miles away, Laxmibai was proving to be a major concern for Queen Victoria, so she decides to send her bravest but crazy officer, Lieutenant Gall. Chimnabai goes into labour and Laxmibai assures her that Jhansi would be freed by sunset, so Chimnabai asks her what would happen if Tatya Tope wouldn't arrive on time!

Laxmibai gallops alone towards the fort's exit gates and orders that it be opened. Laxmibai's confidantes ask the subjects to go out of the fort from the rear exit, while the British continue to shoot indiscriminately. In the process, Moropant gets shot in his leg. Rao Dulajo warns Laxmibai that she has been surrounded and asks her to surrender. Karma sends away everyone to safety and then locks the exit to fight the British alone! Meanwhile, Rao Dulajo comes to attack Laxmibai from behind and Damodar manages to regain his voice just in time to warn her. Laxmibai turns and beheads Rao Dulajo. Just then Hugh Rose goes to fire at her but Karma takes the bullet instead. Karma is shot, while Laxmibai kills many British soldiers. Laxmibai and Karma gallop away on their horses and reach the palace.
