Flemming Møldrup has no idea what kind of place Southern Jutland is. Now he invites the author and historian Tom Buk-Swienty on a tour of Southern Jutland to find out more. Together they seek out interesting people and find surprising new stories and facts about the storm-ravaged part of the country that returned home to Denmark 100 years ago.

A Trabant? Tom is not satisfied with the reunion car Flemming has chosen for the tour of Southern Jutland. The two friends must fight against each other in a reconstruction of the battle that divided Denmark in 1864. Flemming finds surprising facts about the border with Germany. Together they discover how many traces can still be found from the bloody battles on Als.
1x2 - Danish or German?

A Danish national team made up of Germans? We have that in Faustball, which is only practiced by the German minority in Denmark. Flemming and Tom will of course play along. Flemming discovers that over 10% of the residents of Toftlund lost their lives during the First World War. Tom finds out that there is a memorial grove in Denmark for soldiers who voluntarily fought for Hitler.

Prisoners become jailers! That was how it was on 5 May 1945 in Frøslvelejren, when peace came. Flemming and Tom must take part in the South Jutland national sport, ring riding. Tom visits the queen, who talks about a divided Southern Jutland before and after the Second World War. And then the strict language teacher, Asger Reher is of course ready again with the Spanish pipe.
