1x1 - Episode 1

December 14, 1992

HUI CHI CHING (Tsang Hon Sang) is the art director of an advertising company. He has a quarrel with his girlfriend thus he spends a night in a karaoke with his friends PETER and CHUNG. They bring him a girl SUSAN. After this they decide to go elsewhere to have a crazy night. On the way, the tire of CHING's car flattens. He goes into a extravagant bungalow where he meets a beautiful young lady PAK YI WAH (Ho Yuen Ying). He stay there Tor a night. In the morning he wakes up and finds that he is in a graveyard. He is not frightened as he thinks that it is a joke. Next night, PETER is discontented as CHING did not turn up the night before. He arranges another meeting for CHUNG and SUSAN. On the way, CHING loses his way and goes to WAH's house again. It is so romantic that they have slept together. CHING is asked to leave at dawn. However CHING returns as he finds that he has left his pager.… ...

December 15, 1992

CHUI HIN (Har Yu) indulges in smoking and this becomes the sparkler of quarrel between him and his wife PING. As PING finds some successful case in giving up smoking and CHUI's health is deteriorating, she forces him to stop smoking. One day, CHUI hurts his leg when he goes to buy cigarettes. PING locks him up. CHUI becomes hot-tempered and he secretly lites a cigarette. PING is angry and they quarrel and even Tight. In chaos, PING faints and CHUI thinks that she has been killed. Therefore he commits homicide. After this CHUI is brought to another world. Here the rules are of polar different as those smokers are regarded as normal while non-smokers are treated as criminals. At the beginning he wants to quit smoking as he feels guilty. To his surprise he finds that he does smoke in this world while PING is a smoker. PING forces him to smoke and this recalls his unpleasant memory.… ...

December 16, 1992

MAN NAM (Liu Wai Hung) is a man with traditional mind. He is of twenty-nine years of age and his father died when he was still a child. After this he was brought up by his mother and sister. Thus he thinks that he has the responsibility to take care of them. NAM's mother is too old and has to rely much on him. His sister is over thirty years old. However she is simple-minded and her heart has broken for many times. NAM's wife married him inmediately after she had graduated from the secondary school. Thus she relies on NAM too. Although NAM has to shoulder all the responsibilities so as to provide with his family good living, he does not regard this as too harsh as he thinks that it is the duty of a real man. One day, NAM is hurt by a pot fallen from above when he is trying to catch a thief. All his past flashes in his mind and he is aware that he cannot die.… ...

CHING (Wong Wai) and KWAN are an adorable couple who leads a happy life. HUNG (Kong Hon) is their good friend as well as working partner. KWAN is a buddhist who firmly believes that human beings can return to the world after their death. One day, she faints in the street and after checking, it is proved that she suffers from incurable disease. She is rot depressed and she claims that they will meet again. CHIING is shocked after KWAN's death. He has no mood to manage his business and HUNG takes care of it. One day a young lady appears in front of him, claiming that she is KWAN who has restored her life. Although CHING does not believe that WAI is KWAN, all evidence convince him. He is happy again. On the other hand, CHING finds that he is no longer young and he determines to kill himself, hoping to restore to life again. However CHING does not know the truth.… ...

CHAN KAU ON is an accountant with little income. He always dream of becoming rich suddenly. He has a good wife who takes care of him and his family. One day ON meets his former classmate HO WING FU and he knows that FU is going to be his boss soon and FU has a beautiful wife LAW MEI KIU. He is jealous and feels inferior. Once ON goes to a health centre with FU who stumbles over accidentally. When they get up, it is found that their spirits have exchanged. ON becoming FU implies that he is now rich. At the beginning he is rather confused but late he is excited as his dream has come true. However MEI KIU's brother-in-law plans to take over FU's fortune. He provokes employees to strike. ON's talent is questioned. Moreover ON does not know how to handle different cases and causes many troubles. MEI KIU is ashamed of him. ON realizes that FU has his own difficulties. SANDY (Leung Pui WU) and T.K. are good friends and they work in the same night-club as taxi-dancers. One day SANDY is informed that a house is left to her mother but as her mother has died, she is going to inherit it. At first SANDY wants to sell it as she thinks that it is a haunted house. However it is stated in the will that it cannot be sold. Thus she moves in with T.K. One day SANDY and T.K. are brought to the back stage and as SANDY knows little about courtesy of this career, she makes a dead actor MU SANG angry. MU SANG wants to give her a lesson and goes to the night-club. However he is tricked by SANDY. Thus he wants to hurt het'". Luckily SANDY is protected by a charming young man RICHARD. She admires him and RICHARD also takes care of her. After several fights, RICHARD and MU SANG have compromised that SANDY to apologize in front of his tomb. However SANDY is discontented and she tricks him again.… ...

December 22, 1992

The newspaper office is on Tire in the dark. The editor YIN and the boss’ son are trapped. YIN's boyfriend MAN (Lee Kwok Lung) rushes into the building and open the ceiling to save them. However only MAN can survive and the other two are killed. Moreover MAN's face has been hurt. Ten years later, MAN returns to the building as a guard. He cannot Target what happened in the past. After praying he wants to leave and suddenly he finds that he is in the past. He meets YIN, the boss' son and his past but no one can recognize him. MAN's colleague CHING ignores what he says and tells that it must be his illusion. In the past, he finds that he sets the building on fire and YIN refuses to marry him as she is bearing a baby for the boss' son. He thinks that she has changed as she is attracted by great fortune.… ...

December 23, 1992

LI SIU MAN has migrated overseas since her early childhood. She comes to Hong Kong with her friend MAGGIE to collect information of supernatural phenomenon. She is going to write a thesis on this topic. They rent a house in the remote countryside. When they arrive, a case of murder has just occurred. A young girl is killed in the forest. Many of the villagers blame ghosts for this case but they do not believe. Later MAN gets familiar with their neighbour CHEUNG KA WAI (Lo Ka Leung>. He is quite a silent man but they become good friends. One day MAGGIE is being killed after meeting an intimate boyfriend in the house. MAN firmly believes that she is murdered instead of being cursed. She decides to stay and carries out investigation. MAN is attacked by a mysterious girl in red one day and she is saved by WAI. It is found that the girl is the idiot TANG.… ...

LEUNG KWONG (Ng Dai Yung) believes that ore is under the influence o-f -fate and with his study in this aspect, he becomes a famous fortune teller'. One day KWONG goes to buy some old books on divination and he meets an old man. After a chat, he is given a necklace of amethyst. He is told that it can help him in making prediction. He is confused. At the very beginning, he does not take the words but later he realises that it saves him from time to time. He manages to make use of it and this wins him fame and fortune. As he is invited to attend an interview in the TV station, he meets HO KUEN KUEN and later they get married. When KWONG enjoys this much, the old man appears and requests to get it back. KWONG refuses but his supernatural power gradually diminishes. A lot of unpleasant incidence annoy him and his son is drowned dead. KUEN dies after falling down a staircase.… ...

YEUNG CHUNG (Pu Siu Wai) is a talented policeman being highly appreciated by other senior officers. He is especially good at investigating cases of maniac killers as he studies psychology and criminology. One day he begs a female colleague to hook the killer. He catches the criminal successfully but he has to resigned. The only one who is happy to see this is his girlfriend JACKIE. They decide to go overseas to live. Meanwhile a murderer turns up, killing a family with a cutter. KU begs CHUNG to assist him in catching the killer. CHUNG indulges in his work again, risking his life. JACKIE is discontented and warns him. However he does not take his words. She leaves him at last. CHUNG becomes hot-tempered and tells everything to the priest MA who brings him up and he is ill. Suddenly he is arrested as JACKIE has been killed and he is suspected.… ...

CHAN KAI KEI (Loui Yu Yeung) works in an advertising company and he has great interest in collecting antique cameras. One day he finds an old camera unattended in a park and he is so greedy that he takes it home. There is still some film in the camera and he finishes it. The photo is taken when a man and a woman fall down a cliff. KEI reads the new that two dead persons are found and he thinks that the camera belongs to them. KEI finds some shading on the photo but cannot find out the reason. From then on he always has nightmares. At last he finds that the shadow is he and he is so frightened that he decides to sell the camera. On his birthday, his girlfriend WINNIE brings him a gift and it is the camera. He goes ruts and at last he brings the camera back to the park and waits for the owner. The dead man and woman appear and they push him down the cliff and meanwhile the camera is ready to take another photo.
