The Conquest (2006)
The Conquest is a television series based on the conflict between the states of Wu and Yue during the Spring and Autumn Period of Chinese history. The series was jointly produced by Hong Kong's TVB and mainland China's CCTV under executive producers Tommy Leung and Raymond Chai. It was renamed to Legend of the Heroic Duo for the mainland China release, where it aired two episodes every night on Zhejiang Satellite TV from 6 June to 28 June 2006, totalling 49 episodes. In Hong Kong, The Conquest aired five days a week on the TVB Jade network from 18 December 2006 to 10 February 2007, totalling 42 episodes.

CHAI has announced that whoever promises to take in Prince YAU will be deemed to be his enemy. CHUNG expresses his love for KOK. Prince YAU is misled into believing that KOK has been in love with CHUNG and that she goes out with him only because of his status. Feeling so frustrated, Prince YAU walks off in silence. KOK tries to catch up with Prince YAU but in vain – he is already on his way to Chai. In order to keep the promise he made to Lord of Tsun, CHAI needs Prince YAU to come back to hold the wedding ceremony no matter what. SZE brings CHAI to the newly built Heung Sit Corridor, whose construction is completed earlier by her order. Looking at the beautiful corridor, CHAI bursts out laughing.

LAI advises CHAI to pretend to have declared war on Chai. It is anticipated that Prince YAU, who is eager to protect his grandfather, will soon come back to mediate. Accompanied by CHUNG, KOK heads for Ng to see Prince YAU. She is going to express her love for Prince YAU but by the time she arrives at Ng, it is already too late.
