Grand National fever hits the airport as hundreds of excited race-goers pass through for the annual steeplechase. A skateboarding crew from Herefordshire are en route to Barcelona, but when it turns out some of them have a fear of flying, it seems they might not get very far, while a woman who has lost more than eight stone fuels up at the airport restaurants and bars before flying out to Palma for the sporting challenge of a lifetime. The fire crews join other emergency personnel from Merseyside for a training exercise, and the opening of an airport gym sparks rivalry between staff

Two best friends arrive at the airport for their annual break to Benidorm to celebrate St George's Day - although for one it will be a one-way trip as she is planning a new life in the sun. A mother and daughter are also flying out to Spain, for an international barbershop singing contest. Will they return with the top prize? New recruits are learning the ropes at the check-in, fire crews tackle an engine blaze out on the tarmac and after 15 years of service, temporary watch commander Emma is in line for promotion. Could she be John Lennon's first female commander?

Three generations of Irishmen arrive for a nostalgic 80th birthday trip that has taken a lifetime to plan - and things kicks off with a whiskey or two in the bar. A warring mother and daughter jet off to sunny Spain to visit a holy festival, and golden girls Sue and Nancy face the double horrors of overweight luggage and lost boarding passes. Meanwhile, the security team deals with some very unusual contraband.
