1x1 - Episode 1

January 1, 1992

After hard struggle, LOK YIN has now become one of the most important busi?nessmen in the USA. However, fate always fools men. When he has arrived at his climax of career, he is informed that liver cancer is going to take his life away. He is so depressed that he decides to stay away from the busy world so that he can make good plan for his future. He goes to a snowy mountain. There his car cannot function properly. Fortu?nately he is saved by a Chinese LI SAU WAI. Therefore he takes temporary accommodation in her house. However he finds that SAU WAI has mental disorder. As he wants to run away, he is shot and is chained to a wheel-chair by her. Later he discovers that SAU WAI is MAK SIU ZHEN'G's mother. SAU WAI believes that YIN has deceived ZHENG and as a result ZHENG's business confronts the danger of collapse. YIN tries to explain but she refuses to take his words. She wants to hear from ZHENG who will come at Christmas……

1x2 - Episode 2

January 2, 1992

After being tortured, YIN is brought back to SAU WAI's house. As no one knows where YIN is the police suspects that YIN is kidnapped-. CHI ‧ CHING is requested to look through his personal letters to see if there is any hint. YIN's case shocks the business world of New York. CHING JIANG rushes there to see if he can do any he lp.. YIN has a chance to escape but he determines to stay behind to take care of SAU WAI. He is touched and feels guilty as she is shocked by the news of her son's death. JIANG goes to find YIN and he comes to SAU WAI's house. Meanwhile SAU WAI turns on the natural gas, wanting to kill YIN. JIANG manages to save YIN but SAU WAI is killed in the incidence. After this unpleasant incidents, YIN recalls from his memory ... In 1985 YIN is released from jail. He is rather disappointed as he sees LIN FUNG waiting for him. He comes back to Hong Kong……

1x3 - Episode 3

January 3, 1992

CHAI MAN looks down upon YIN who is a killer and has been imprisoned. He regards this as a shame. YIN does not give any explanation. He just wants to develop his own business so as to win back CHAI MAN's trust. YIN and JIANG feel embarrassed when they meet each other. YIN still feels relieved on seeing JIANG's happy marriage. YIN, FUNG and JIANG are good friends. YIN and JIANG love each other but it does not last long and is spoiled by YIN's imprisonment. After this JIANG marries FUNG and they have a child. HUNG KWAI TUNG was CHAI MAN's subordinate. He came as an illegal immigrant and now he has his own business. Instead of paying back to CHAI MAN, he wants to take over his role when CHAI MAN is in financial difficulties. In order to save his family, IDK MAN devotes his own love and marries KWAI TUNG's daughter - CHI YIN. KWAI TLJNG then becomes one of the major sharehold?ers of GIAI MAN's departments store……

1x4 - Episode 4

January 6, 1992

KWAI TUNG blames YIN who hits his son. He withdraws his investment and CHAI MAN is trapped in the financial problem again. CHAI MAN scolds YIN hard for this YIN apologies for the family but KWAI TUNG ignores and insults him. YIN goes away. KWAI TUNG wants to make use of the chance to seize CHAI MAN's shares. He is stopped by CHI YIN who begs him hard. CHI CHING is an innocent girl who knows nothing about business. She is looked down upon by her brothers. FUNG is so ambitious that he joins a business trick and at last it is discov?ered and he is driven off by the authority. He can no longer be a lawyer. His living is affected. FUNG always tries to flatter the others, hoping to be employed. KWAI is dis?contented with his attitudes. They often quarrel. On the other hand, FUNG always scolds JIANG at home when he is unhappy. JIANG tolerates his acts. YIN has pity on FUNG and introduces him to CHAI MAN……

1x5 - Episode 5

January 7, 1992

FUNG can do nothing in the departments store, thus he turns to the financial sector. He wants to introduce his investment project to the rich and if he succeeds, he will become rich soon. YIN meets CHI CHING in the racecourse. He convinces her that she should not indulge in gambling. CHI CHING is touched by his sincere attitude. After careful consideration, YIN prepares a new development strategy for the workshop and presents it to CHAI MAN. CHAI MAN is convinced and gives him courage to put forward the plan. FUNG meets CHI CHING and promotes his project. CHI CHING promises to accept his plan. FUNG's plan is spoiled by the collapse of the stock market. He borrows money from YIN, claiming that he needs this to help his friend. He gives CHI CHING the money, deceiving her that this is the profit. CHI CHIN is no longer being looked down upon. CHAI MAN finds that YIN has taken away the capital of the workshop……

1x6 - Episode 6

January 8, 1992

YIN is told by CHI CHING that FUNG has given her his money. He goes to ques?tion FUNG who admits that he only wants to make use of CHI CHING as a step ping-stone. YIN worries as FUNG has changed a lot. CHING and YIN are mutually attracted and love grows in their hearts. However this is objected by KWAI TUNG and CHI CHING dares not to admit it. FUNG and JIANG's relationship deteriorates as FUNG regards money as the most important. However they pretend to be a happy couple in front of the others. JIANG wants her son to have a place in a primary school. However FUNG does not turn up in the interview as he is bothered by his business. YIN knows this and helps JIANG as he knows the headmaster. YIN brings JIANG and her son to the New Territories. 1here they are pushed down a hill by YIU YEUNG's car. YIN becomes blind temporarily. JIANG feels guilty. FUNG knows that YIN and JIANG often meet. He asks if JIANG still loves YIN……

1x7 - Episode 7

January 9, 1992

CHI CHING quarrels with YIU YEUNG for his act and takes good care of YIN. This strengthens their love. CHI CHING is discontented with HON who fools around only. She goes to ask him and he" is embarrassed. CHI CHING introduces FUNG to KWAI TUNG. FUNG' s suggestions suits KWAI TUNG 's ?ambition. He is employed. YIN regains his sight and CHI CHING makes apology for her improper attitude. CHI CHING is discontented with FUNG and always tricks him but he disregards them. YIN goes to thank HON but he is cheated. Finally they become good friends. HON holds a birthday party and the HUNG's and LOK's are invited. KWAI TUNG shows off in front of CHAI MAN, stating that he will take over his role. HON is angry and quarrel with him.

1x8 - Episode 8

January 10, 1992

The LOK's are happy as YIN is cured and CHI YIN is pregnant. CHI CHING's ex-boyfriend RONALD arrives and tells her that he is going to get married. CHI CHING is depressed. YIN counsels her. YIN sends CHI CHING home and meets YIU YEUNG on their way. YIU YEUNG thinks that he has done filthy act and scolds him. KWAI TUNG is very angry and stops CHI CHING from meeting YIN. LOK MAN loves CHI YIN as she is a kind woman but he cannot forget his former lover. He feels guilty. CHI CHING does not listen to her father as she is rebellious. She spends a night with YIN on the Valentines. CHI YIN knows that CHI CHING loves YIN. She wants to encourage her but CHI CHING does not admit. YIN and HON sees YIU YEUNG stopping the escalator in the street. Many people are hurt and they go to act as witnesses.

1x9 - Episode 9

January 13, 1992

KWAI TUNG knows that YIU YEUNG cannot escape from being accused. He blames YIN and determines to take revenge. CHAJ MAN is angry and scolds YIN and recalls the fact that he is a killer. LOK Man cnnot tolerate and tells the truth that YIN is put behind bars for him ... For the family business, LOK MAN had to leave his lover JODY. JODY was sad and went to the USA. LOK MAN went after her and they met in a bar. JODY was entangled by a black man and in the fight LOK MAN killed him. "As YIN thought that LOK MAN was more important than him in the family business, so he took his place and admitted that he was the killer. LOK MAN had no choice and accepted YIN's suggestion. ‧ CHAI MAN knows the truth and feels guilty as he is always bad to YIN. CH YIN is shocked as she knows that LOK MAN marries her for his family. She wants to leave but is persuaded to stay……

1x10 - Episode 10

January 14, 1992

YIU YEUNG is sentenced to 7 year imprisonment. KWAI TUNG blames YIN and deter?mines to take revenge. Being backbit, FUNG is no longer trusted by KWAI TUNG. FUNG regrets to work for him. YIN appreciates CHI CHING and loves her but CHI CHING knows her own ill-points and refuses him. CHI YIN finds that LOK MAN still communicates with JODY and suspects them. CHI CHING is confused as she finds that she loves YIN after talking with CHI YIN. She wants to forget YIN by indulging in gambling. YIN scolds her, making her conscious again. Finally she accepts YIN. CHI YIN moves back to the HUNG's. LOK MAN drives the car without concentration and they have a traffic accident. Both are killed in it.

1x11 - Episode 11

January 15, 1992

Being shocked by MAN's death, CHAI MAN decides to retire and asks YIN to inherit his business. YIN determines to improve the family business. CHI CHING also joins "Hung Ping" and knows that KWAI TUNG aims at putting the LOK's in bankruptcy. She wants to stop him but is repels by her -family. She is put in a dilemma. FUNG wants to win over KWAI TUNG’s trust. He suggests that they should put the case in the court to determine the time o-f CHI YIN and MAN's death. As the one with later death should inherit the fortune of the earlier one. CHI CHING is discontented and wants to leave KWAI TUNG but her act is stopped by YIN. KWAI TUNG bribes the doctor to prove that MAN dies earlier. YIN has no chance to win the case and CHAI MAN worries much.

1x12 - Episode 12

January 16, 1992

YIN has no faith in the law and he asks FUNG to give him advice. FUNG con?vinces them to give wrong statement and VIN agrees for his family’s sake. JIANG discovers that FUNG is doing some illegal business.' On the one hand she worries while at the same time she suspects that he is hiding some other things from her. Later she finds that FUNG is working for KWAI TUNG. She wants to warn YIN but is halted by FUNG. YiN and KWAI tell lie in the court but they are questioned critically as FUNG has given their statements to the lawyer working-for KWAI TUNG. Finally The HUNG's i.-Jin the case and take over "Lok Wah". KWAI TUNG decides to pull down the building and sell the land. The employees are not satisfied with this plan and have demonst1-ation. CHAI MAN is sad but he has to -flatter them.

1x13 - Episode 13

January 17, 1992

"Lok Wah" is going- to- be Closed down and CHAI MAN requests the employees to show their spirit. so as to leave a good image to the customers. CHAI MAN is sick and finally dies on the day of the closure o-f "Lok Wah". KWAI TUNG goes to the funeral and pretends to be kind to YIN. YURK HON is angry with him and scold him. YIN is now responsible for the fame of his family and he deter-mines to work hard to rebuild it. YURK HON agrees to give him help. As FUNG has played an important role to taking over "Lok Wah", KWAI TUNG trusts him. FUNG is very happy as his plan has succeeded. CHI CHING knows that YIN wants to rebuild "Lok Wah" but he has insufficient capital. She wants KWAI TUNG to lend him the capital and in return she will return home but KWAI TUNG refuses. KWAI TUNG thinks that YIN has sent CHI CHING to him. He has a meeting with YIN and there they quenelle but YIN is not frightened……

1x15 - Episode 15

January 21, 1992

CHI CHING works very hard and finally she has finished the typing course and is given the certificate. However she is unhappy to see that JIANG has been appointed as YIN's secretary. In order to deceive CHI CHING, FUNG backbites YIN and JIANG, making CHI CHING believe that they fall in love again. CHI CHING is trapped. SIU ZHENG is a trouble-maker. Whenever he confronts difficulties, his girl?friend FONG KIT YI goes to settle them down for him. SIU ZHENG originally knows nothing about his own parents but once incidentally he knows-that his mother is in hospital while his father has abandoned them. He is frustrated. SIU ZHENG misunderstands SIU LAP's intention and his attitude towards him changes. Later he understands that SIU LAP does it for his sake, not hoping him to feel inferior. YIN praises JIANG's competence in front of the employees, making CHI CHING unhappy ……

1x16 - Episode 16

January 22, 1992

CHI CHING tells YIN about FUNG and JIANG’s problem, YIN thinks that FUNG has misunderstood him and goes to explain to him. FUNG does not take his words seriously. To flatter FUNG, JIANG quits her job but her act does not bring her trust and warmth from FUNG. She is disappointed. SIU ZHENG borrows money from KIT YI for SIU LAP and her family think that he tricks her. He is embarrassed. SIU ZHENG is told that MAK YURK HON is his father. He checks it up in the telephone dictionary but in vain. Therefore he asks his friends to find SAU WAI in the USA. Although FUNG is trusted by KWAI TUNG, his pl an is hindered by YING YEUNG. Therefore he determines to chase after CHI CHING, hoping to get the beauty and fortune at the same time. FUNG tricks JIANG, making hey believe that he has secret lovers. JIANG is trapped and loses her calmness. Then FUNG accuses that she does not trust; him and has mental disorder. He requests to divorce.

1x17 - Episode 17

January 23, 1992

Being deceived by FUNG, CHI CHING-believes that YIN has filthy relationship with JIANG. FUNG is approved to divorce with JIANG by the court and he also wants to grasp the authority to r-ear- their- child. JIANG is shocked and depressed. FUNG pretends to be a depressed man so as to get CHI CHING's mercy and she is -touched and takes good care of him. FUNG thinks that his plan is perfect but in fact YIN understands his every act but YIN has no chance to disclose it. YIN gives JIANG courage to stand on herself again as they are good friends.

1x18 - Episode 18

January 24, 1992

FUNG claims that JIANG is not a loyal woman who left YIN when YIN was in trouble and married. Moreover he states that she has lost her mind recently. This makes him win the case and the child. FUNG takes further action to torture JIANG's spirit, making CHI CHING believe that she has mental problems. YURK HON' s friend brinqs him some some new about SAU WAI and he goes to meet her , hoping to see his son. On the otherhand, SIU ZHENG also knows where SAU WAI is. However- he has no money to go abroad. Fortunately, YI helps him. SIU ZHENG meets SAU WAI in the hospital. YURI< HON arrives after he has left and they have no chance to see each other-. Being cared by YIN, JIPNG -feels guilty as she knows the former act of FUNG who has bribed a doctor in the case. Later she tells YIN the truth and he is shocked. YIN hates FUNG thereafter-. YIN goes to questions FUNG who admits everything, YIN is so angry that he beats him up.

1x19 - Episode 19

January 27, 1992

CHI CHING thinks that YIN should not hit FUNG and goes to question YIN. YIN knows FUNG's trick and warns her but she only . KWAI TUNG requests CHI CHING to return home but she only wants to leave Hong Kong to relax. Thus KWAI TUNG sends FUNG to take care of her. SAU WAI tells YURK HON where SIU ZHENG is. He goes to see him who is tend taking a movie and has impersonate a girl. He claims that he is SIU ZHENG’s girlfriend to fool him. When YURK HON tells him that he is his -Father, SIU ZHENG grows angry as he is discontented with YURK HON's leaving them. He refuses to accept him and in?sults him in Front; of the others. YI and SIU LAP want, to embridge them. As SIU ZHENG knows that YURK HON is one o-F the richest men in Hong Kong, he goes to adopt him as he aims at his -fortune. FUNG goes abroad with CHI CHING. Although JIANG begs him to leave their child, he refuses……

1x20 - Episode 20

January 28, 1992

YURK HON feels guilty after hearing SIU ZHENG' s unpleasant experience. He wants to compensate and gives him money to lead an ext1ravagant life. JIANG misses her son so much that she is in despair. YIN and KWAI try to encourage her. SIU ZHENG gains -Fame amongst his friend as he holds a big banquet for his birthday in a hotel. YI is discontented with SIU ZHENG's attitude towards money and suggests that he should run his own business. YIN agrees that SIU ZHENG can join his compa?ny.

1x21 - Episode 21

January 29, 1992

ZHENG becomes rich so suddenly that he loses his character. One day he meets YING YEUNG and they have a quarrel. ZHENG wants to suppress him with his -fortune and YIN stops him. YIN has laid a firm -foundation -for his business and then he works jointly with YURK HON to develop new department stores and real estate business. Meanwhile he also promotes ZHENG so as to thank YURK HON for his former support. ZHENG becomes YIN's good friend and he highly appreciates YIN's talent. There-fore he learns hard from him. YURK HON T8els relieved on seeing this. JIANG recovers gradually as she devotes herself to her career and YIN always counsels her. ZHENG meets YING YEUNG in a lounge and they quarrel again. YING YEUNG knows that ZHENG is buying stock shares of a "Mei See" so he joins the competition. YURK HON uses his own fortune to support ZHENG while KWAI TUNG does not want to lose and he tries to stop YING YEUNG's foolish act……

1x22 - Episode 22

January 30, 1992

YURK HON is sent to hospital but at last he dies. Before he dies, he requests YIN to take care of ZHENG. ZHENG thinks that YING YEUNG should be responsible for YURK HON's death. He goes to take revenge but YIN stops him. YIN encourages ZHENG to inherit YURK HON's fortune and give it further development. CHI CHING returns to Hong Kong and goes to YURK HON's tomb. There she meets YIN and JIANG and they are embarrasses. KWAI sees that it is possible for YIN and JIANG to continue their former love, so he gives them the courage. JIANG still loves YIN but she also knows that CHI YIN still occupies his heart. She does not know what to do. FUNG is appreciated by KWAI TUNG and is promoted to be his keen assistant. He earns his fame and -fortune. On the other hand, FUNG knows that CHI YIN loves children. Thus he makes use of his son to embridge them. CHI YIN is convinced. FUNG does not take further step……

January 31, 1992

CHI CHING tells YIN about her marriage and YIN is shocked. He tries to convince her to have more thorough consideration first. KWAI TUNG knows how FUNG treats JIANG but he respects his daughter's choice. He warns FUNG to be good to CHI YIN. Although YIN tries to help ZHENG, he learns little as he is too proud of himself. Moreover ZHENG T9els interior and this widens the gap between YIN and him. YIN knows FUNG's dirty trick but CHI YIN does not take his words. Therefore he asks JIANG to compete Tor the right to have their son so as to explore this and spoil his Tame. KWAI TUNG knows the plan and bribes people t o collect and destroy all those unfavorable evidence. He also sends FUNG to have compromise with JIANG. FUNG talks with JIANG. JIANG tricks him, making him exploring his real aims in marrying CHI YIN. He is deceived. Meanwhile YIN brings CHI YIN to hear what he says……

1x24 - Episode 24

February 3, 1992

YING YEUNG goes to question ZHENG, thinking that he has instructed FUNG to steal the information. In chaos, ZHENG kills YING YEUNG. ZHENG asks YI to give him a helping hand. They bring the corpse to the countryside and berry it. FUNG witnesses everything. YIN finds that ZHENG has done dirty trick to get the contract and it is harmful to the company's Tame. Therefore he stops his duty. YING YEUNG disappears and the police suspects that he has been kidnapped. ZHENG and YI and afraid that they will be accused. FUNG blackmails ZHENG as he knows what ZHENG has done to YING YEUNG. ZHENG appoints him to work in his company reluctantly. YIN wants to stop him but in vain. FUNG takes further step, Forcing ZHENG to promote him as the general manager. ZHENG has to follow his instruction though YIN objects.

1x25 - Episode 25

February 4, 1992

YING YEUNG's corpse is discovered and KWAI .TUNG is very sad. The police requests ZHENG to assist the investigation. YI is afraid that ZHENG will admit what they have done. She goes to ask for YIN's help. However she dares not to tell him the fact. YIN realizes that they are hiding something from him. KWAI TUNG suspects FUNG and FUNG is questioned by the police. ZHENG is afraid that FUNG will tell the police that he is the killer. Therefore he goes to steal the evidence but he is discovered by FUNG. FUNG masters ZHENG and he dismisses JIANG. He always backbites YIN, widening the gap between YIN and ZHENG. Finally YIN decides to break up with ZHENG as they are unable to compromise in some investment projects.

1x26 - Episode 26

February 5, 1992

YIN promises to resign and asks for a month's time to handle the duty. FUNG is discontented and asks ZHENG to be careful as YIN may betray the company. CHI YIN becomes the director of' her family business after YING YEUNG's death. YIN helps her to mange it. KWAI TUNG realizes YIN's character and agrees to have him to help CHI YIN. YIN is bothered by ZHENG's case. Therefore he determines to develop his business in the USA after he has settled down everything in Hong Kong. FUNG is informed that his son is sick. However‧ he dares not to leave Hong Kong as this may giver YIN a chance to revenge. Later his son dies and he blames YIN. JIANG thinks that FUNG should be responsible for their son's death and goes to kill him. After hurting him, she wants to commit homicide but she is stopped by YIN and CHI YIN. FUNG is sent to hospital……

1x27 - Episode 27

February 6, 1992

Without YIN's assistance, ZHENG is mastered by FUNG and his fortune is gradually swallowed by FUNG. Although he is aware, it is too late. As CHI CHING loves YIN, she decides to go to the USA with him so as to stay close to him. However they lack mutual understanding. They have to guess what the other thinks. After years, YIN becomes the key man in the financial sector of the USA. On the‧ other hand, FUNG has taken all ZHENG's money and sets up another company, leaving ZHENG behind to shoulder all the debts. As YIN has arrived at the climax of his career, he knows that he has liver cancer. He goes to the snowy mountain to take vacation. There he meets SAU WAI who thinks that he is ZHENG's opponent. He is locked up by her. JIANG goes to the USA as she knows about the news of him. ZHENG commits homicides as he cannot stand for the collapse of his company. Fortunately he is saved. As SAU WAI knows it, she is shocked and wants to kill YIN……

1x28 - Episode 28

February 7, 1992

YIN wants to makes use of his last few years to compete with FUNG so as to get back YURK HOH and ZHENG's fortune. YIN uses huge sum of money to consolidate ZHENG' business foundation. Implemented by investment project, ZHENG has a new breakthrough. ZHENG is touched by YIN who comes back to him when he is in the abyss. Moreover YIN gives him so much help that he trusts YIN. CHI CHING goes home and see that YIU YEUNG is still as naughty as before. Her parents are indeed old and have to be shocked from time to time. She is sad. In the public auction, YIN competes with FUNG and finally FUNG gets the land at a high price. He is trapped in financial difficulties. A t the same time YIN buys FUNG's company stock in the stock market. FUNG is shocked. ZHENG and YI declares their marriage but at the same time FUNG arrives. He threatens him to stop YIN's act or he will disclose the evidence. ZHENG is trapped in a dilemma……

February 10, 1992

KWAI TUNG is shocked that ZHENG is the killer. At the beginning he is very angry but at last he realizes that it is the price -For what he has done before. There-Fare he leaves everything to the law to judge. YI worries much about ZHENG. She is angry as ZHENG admits what he has done, putting himself in trouble. YIN does not agree as it proves that ZHENG has grown up and is more mature and brave. FUNG tries to trick KWAI TUNG to work with him against YIN. KWAI TUNG regrets having done such things before and refuses to help him. Instead he tries his best to assist YIN. YIN's health becomes worse and worse. He wants to defeat FUNG quicker but it makes him sick. FUNG wants to deceive other shareholders so as to get more capital but it is disclosed and the police freezes his fortune. YIN finally wins the game and gets the department store back. He is confused when he meets his former colleagues……

1x30 - Episode 30

February 11, 1992

For JIANG's sake, YIN deposits money in FUNG's account in Switzerland. CHI CHING tries to gather money but it is still insufficient. YIN is so worried that he is sick again and faints. KWAI worries about JIANG and goes to question FUNG. They fight and FUNG is hurt. They are arrested. ZHENG overhears where JIANG is kept and finally they find her. She is very weak as she has not taken any -Food for a long time. It is find that YIN's situation is so bad that he must receive surgery but he refuses as he wants to know the result of ZHENG's being accused. After so all the incidence, YIN and JIANG understand that they love each other deeply but they are hindered by YIN's condition. YIN is very confused. FUNG goes to talk with YIN, hoping to get a chance to escape. However they quarrel and FUNG wants to kill YIN who is so weak then ...
