CHI CHING tells YIN about her marriage and YIN is shocked. He tries to convince her to have more thorough consideration first. KWAI TUNG knows how FUNG treats JIANG but he respects his daughter's choice. He warns FUNG to be good to CHI YIN. Although YIN tries to help ZHENG, he learns little as he is too proud of himself. Moreover ZHENG T9els interior and this widens the gap between YIN and him. YIN knows FUNG's dirty trick but CHI YIN does not take his words. Therefore he asks JIANG to compete Tor the right to have their son so as to explore this and spoil his Tame. KWAI TUNG knows the plan and bribes people t o collect and destroy all those unfavorable evidence. He also sends FUNG to have compromise with JIANG. FUNG talks with JIANG. After hard struggle, LOK YIN has now become one of the most important busi?nessmen in the USA. However, fate always fools men. When he has arrived at his climax of career, he is informed that liver cancer is going to take his life away. He is so depressed that he decides to stay away from the busy world so that he can make good plan for his future. He goes to a snowy mountain. There his car cannot function properly. Fortu?nately he is saved by a Chinese LI SAU WAI. Therefore he takes temporary accommodation in her house. However he finds that SAU WAI has mental disorder. As he wants to run away, he is shot and is chained to a wheel-chair by her. Later he discovers that SAU WAI is MAK SIU ZHEN'G's mother. SAU WAI believes that YIN has deceived ZHENG and as a result ZHENG's business confronts the danger of collapse. YIN tries to explain but she refuses to take his words. She wants to hear from ZHENG who will come at Christmas……

After being tortured, YIN is brought back to SAU WAI's house. As no one knows where YIN is the police suspects that YIN is kidnapped-. CHI ‧ CHING is requested to look through his personal letters to see if there is any hint. YIN's case shocks the business world of New York. CHING JIANG rushes there to see if he can do any he lp.. YIN has a chance to escape but he determines to stay behind to take care of SAU WAI. He is touched and feels guilty as she is shocked by the news of her son's death. KWAI TUNG blames YIN who hits his son. He withdraws his investment and CHAI MAN is trapped in the financial problem again. CHAI MAN scolds YIN hard for this YIN apologies for the family but KWAI TUNG ignores and insults him. YIN goes away. KWAI TUNG wants to make use of the chance to seize CHAI MAN's shares. He is stopped by CHI YIN who begs him hard. CHI CHING is an innocent girl who knows nothing about business. She is looked down upon by her brothers. FUNG is so ambitious that he joins a business trick and at last it is discov?ered and he is driven off by the authority. He can no longer be a lawyer. His living is affected. FUNG always tries to flatter the others, hoping to be employed. KWAI is dis?contented with his attitudes. They often quarrel. On the other hand, FUNG always scolds JIANG at home when he is unhappy. JIANG tolerates his acts. YIN has pity on FUNG and introduces him to CHAI MAN……

FUNG can do nothing in the departments store, thus he turns to the financial sector. He wants to introduce his investment project to the rich and if he succeeds, he will become rich soon. YIN meets CHI CHING in the racecourse. He convinces her that she should not indulge in gambling. CHI CHING is touched by his sincere attitude. After careful consideration, YIN prepares a new development strategy for the workshop and presents it to CHAI MAN. CHAI MAN is convinced and gives him courage to put forward the plan. FUNG meets CHI CHING and promotes his project. CHI CHING promises to accept his plan. FUNG's plan is spoiled by the collapse of the stock market. He borrows money from YIN, claiming that he needs this to help his friend. He gives CHI CHING the money, deceiving her that this is the profit. CHI CHIN is no longer being looked down upon. CHAI MAN finds that YIN has taken away the capital of the workshop……

YIN is told by CHI CHING that FUNG has given her his money. He goes to ques?tion FUNG who admits that he only wants to make use of CHI CHING as a step ping-stone. YIN worries as FUNG has changed a lot. CHING and YIN are mutually attracted and love grows in their hearts. However this is objected by KWAI TUNG and CHI CHING dares not to admit it. FUNG and JIANG's relationship deteriorates as FUNG regards money as the most important. However they pretend to be a happy couple in front of the others. JIANG wants her son to have a place in a primary school. However FUNG does not turn up in the interview as he is bothered by his business. YIN knows this and helps JIANG as he knows the headmaster. YIN brings JIANG and her son to the New Territories. 1here they are pushed down a hill by YIU YEUNG's car. YIN becomes blind temporarily. JIANG feels guilty. FUNG knows that YIN and JIANG often meet. He asks if JIANG still loves YIN……

CHI CHING quarrels with YIU YEUNG for his act and takes good care of YIN. This strengthens their love. CHI CHING is discontented with HON who fools around only. She goes to ask him and he" is embarrassed. CHI CHING introduces FUNG to KWAI TUNG. FUNG' s suggestions suits KWAI TUNG 's ?ambition. He is employed. YIN regains his sight and CHI CHING makes apology for her improper attitude. CHI CHING is discontented with FUNG and always tricks him but he disregards them. YIN goes to thank HON but he is cheated. Finally they become good friends. HON holds a birthday party and the HUNG's and LOK's are invited. KWAI TUNG shows off in front of CHAI MAN, stating that he will take over his role. HON is angry and quarrel with him.

The LOK's are happy as YIN is cured and CHI YIN is pregnant. CHI CHING's ex-boyfriend RONALD arrives and tells her that he is going to get married. CHI CHING is depressed. YIN counsels her. YIN sends CHI CHING home and meets YIU YEUNG on their way. YIU YEUNG thinks that he has done filthy act and scolds him. KWAI TUNG is very angry and stops CHI CHING from meeting YIN. LOK MAN loves CHI YIN as she is a kind woman but he cannot forget his former lover. He feels guilty. CHI CHING does not listen to her father as she is rebellious. She spends a night with YIN on the Valentines. CHI YIN knows that CHI CHING loves YIN. She wants to encourage her but CHI CHING does not admit. YIN and HON sees YIU YEUNG stopping the escalator in the street. Many people are hurt and they go to act as witnesses.

KWAI TUNG knows that YIU YEUNG cannot escape from being accused. He blames YIN and determines to take revenge. CHAJ MAN is angry and scolds YIN and recalls the fact that he is a killer. LOK Man cnnot tolerate and tells the truth that YIN is put behind bars for him ... For the family business, LOK MAN had to leave his lover JODY. JODY was sad and went to the USA. LOK MAN went after her and they met in a bar. JODY was entangled by a black man and in the fight LOK MAN killed him. "As YIN thought that LOK MAN was more important than him in the family business, so he took his place and admitted that he was the killer. LOK MAN had no choice and accepted YIN's suggestion. ‧ CHAI MAN knows the truth and feels guilty as he is always bad to YIN. CH YIN is shocked as she knows that LOK MAN marries her for his family. She wants to leave but is persuaded to stay……

YIU YEUNG is sentenced to 7 year imprisonment. KWAI TUNG blames YIN and deter?mines to take revenge. Being backbit, FUNG is no longer trusted by KWAI TUNG. FUNG regrets to work for him. YIN appreciates CHI CHING and loves her but CHI CHING knows her own ill-points and refuses him. CHI YIN finds that LOK MAN still communicates with JODY and suspects them. CHI CHING is confused as she finds that she loves YIN after talking with CHI YIN. She wants to forget YIN by indulging in gambling. YIN scolds her, making her conscious again. Finally she accepts YIN. CHI YIN moves back to the HUNG's. LOK MAN drives the car without concentration and they have a traffic accident. Both are killed in it.

Being shocked by MAN's death, CHAI MAN decides to retire and asks YIN to inherit his business. YIN determines to improve the family business. CHI CHING also joins "Hung Ping" and knows that KWAI TUNG aims at putting the LOK's in bankruptcy. She wants to stop him but is repels by her -family. She is put in a dilemma. FUNG wants to win over KWAI TUNG’s trust. He suggests that they should put the case in the court to determine the time o-f CHI YIN and MAN's death. As the one with later death should inherit the fortune of the earlier one. CHI CHING is discontented and wants to leave KWAI TUNG but her act is stopped by YIN. KWAI TUNG bribes the doctor to prove that MAN dies earlier. YIN has no chance to win the case and CHAI MAN worries much.

YIN has no faith in the law and he asks FUNG to give him advice. FUNG con?vinces them to give wrong statement and VIN agrees for his family’s sake. JIANG discovers that FUNG is doing some illegal business.' On the one hand she worries while at the same time she suspects that he is hiding some other things from her. Later she finds that FUNG is working for KWAI TUNG. She wants to warn YIN but is halted by FUNG. YiN and KWAI tell lie in the court but they are questioned critically as FUNG has given their statements to the lawyer working-for KWAI TUNG. Finally The HUNG's i.-Jin the case and take over "Lok Wah". KWAI TUNG decides to pull down the building and sell the land. The employees are not satisfied with this plan and have demonst1-ation. CHAI MAN is sad but he has to -flatter them.

"Lok Wah" is going- to- be Closed down and CHAI MAN requests the employees to show their spirit. so as to leave a good image to the customers. CHAI MAN is sick and finally dies on the day of the closure o-f "Lok Wah". KWAI TUNG goes to the funeral and pretends to be kind to YIN. YURK HON is angry with him and scold him. YIN is now responsible for the fame of his family and he deter-mines to work hard to rebuild it. YURK HON agrees to give him help. As FUNG has played an important role to taking over "Lok Wah", KWAI TUNG trusts him. FUNG is very happy as his plan has succeeded. CHI CHING knows that YIN wants to rebuild "Lok Wah" but he has insufficient capital. She wants KWAI TUNG to lend him the capital and in return she will return home but KWAI TUNG refuses. KWAI TUNG thinks that YIN has sent CHI CHING to him. He has a meeting with YIN and there they quenelle but YIN is not frightened……

In order to deceive CHI CHING, FUNG backbites YIN and JIANG, making CHI CHING believe that they fall in love again. CHI CHING is trapped. SIU ZHENG is a trouble-maker. Whenever he confronts difficulties, his girl?friend FONG KIT YI goes to settle them down for him. SIU ZHENG originally knows nothing about his own parents but once incidentally he knows-that his mother is in hospital while his father has abandoned them. He is frustrated. SIU ZHENG borrows money from KIT YI for SIU LAP and her family think that he tricks her. He is embarrassed. SIU ZHENG is told that MAK YURK HON is his father. He checks it up in the telephone dictionary but in vain. Therefore he asks his friends to find SAU WAI in the USA. Although FUNG is trusted by KWAI TUNG, his pl an is hindered by YING YEUNG. Therefore he determines to chase after CHI CHING, hoping to get the beauty and fortune at the same time. FUNG tricks JIANG, making hey believe that he has secret lovers. JIANG is trapped and loses her calmness. Then FUNG accuses that she does not trust; him and has mental disorder. He requests to divorce.

Being deceived by FUNG, CHI CHING-believes that YIN has filthy relationship with JIANG. FUNG is approved to divorce with JIANG by the court and he also wants to grasp the authority to r-ear- their- child. JIANG is shocked and depressed. Being cared by YIN, JIPNG -feels guilty as she knows the former act of FUNG who has bribed a doctor in the case. Later she tells YIN the truth and he is shocked. YIN hates FUNG thereafter-. YING YEUNG goes to question ZHENG, thinking that he has instructed FUNG to steal the information. In chaos, ZHENG kills YING YEUNG. ZHENG asks YI to give him a helping hand. They bring the corpse to the countryside and berry it. FUNG witnesses everything. YIN finds that ZHENG has done dirty trick to get the contract and it is harmful to the company's Tame. Therefore he stops his duty. YING YEUNG disappears and the police suspects that he has been kidnapped. ZHENG and YI and afraid that they will be accused. FUNG blackmails ZHENG as he knows what ZHENG has done to YING YEUNG. ZHENG appoints him to work in his company reluctantly. YIN wants to stop him but in vain. YING YEUNG's corpse is discovered and KWAI .TUNG is very sad. The police requests ZHENG to assist the investigation. YI is afraid that ZHENG will admit what they have done.
