1x1 - Episode 1

September 9, 1993

LAM HAI works so hard that he is able to change himself from a hawker into the owner of a seafood restaurant. There are seven members n his family and he work hard for them. Though his children has grown up, he hesitates to stop running "Hai Kee" as this proves his presence. On the first day of business, YLK HING orders the rest to work properly, thinking that she has the authority as she is the eldest daughter-in- law. TAT brings his friends in the financial sector to the restaurant. He boosts his performance so as to be more superior in front of his relatives. SAN promised to invite the movie-star KO WAI KIN to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. However he is too busy.… ...

1x2 - Episode 2

September 10, 1993

WAI is able to protect himself under ROBERT's attack. HAI worries much but he does not exert it for his self-prestige. HAI thinks that his restaurant was robbed for WAI's jab and they quarrel again. Luckily CHING tries to settle down the argument. KEE is being accused and KAU begs WAI to change his statement but WAI refuses. At last KEE is sentenced to a half-year imprisonment. KAO treats KEE as his daughter and this makes him hate WAI. KAO and SIU BO run the business of vans renting. He goes to buy new vans in CHING's company and they have some misunderstanding. Later KAO moves to anew flat in the same building of the Lams and this creates more troubles. YUK MING regards KAO as her enemy as KAO always scold WAI and CHING. TAT leads an extravagant life in front of his friends. When he is in financial difficulties, he seeks help from his family.… ...

September 13, 1993

KAO and CHINS are misunderstood and a scandal of them spreads in the neighbourhood. KAO is angry and scolds then. SAN accompanies WAI KIN to the Malaysia to have performance. The press states that there is love between then but SRN ignores it. After graduation from a secondary school, KANG works in a workshop as a clerk. She wants to change her job but to her disappointment, she is neglected by her family when she wants to have their advice. She has to do all the housework. SAN graduates after receiving tertiary education and she works in a company as an image designer. This wins her fame as she s successful. She is so beautiful that a director tries to convince her to act in a blue movie but she refuses the job. KAO and CHING meet the one who robbed them.… ...

September 14, 1993

KANG is happy as she has a chance to work in Shui Lung Department Store as a lift operator. When she tells her family happily, everyone focuses on SAN as SAN will appear in an advertisement. KONG is acquainted with being neglected. SAN's advertisement is being appreciated and she is invited to act in a movie of high profile. HAI is afraid that SAN is acting in a blue movie and makes objective to her new job. However SAN does not listen to him. CHING understands SAN's principle and explains for her. HAI goes to see SAN working and witnesses that she has to jump down from high above, being surrounded by flames of fire. He is shocked and wants to stop SAN. SAN drive them away. KANG is nervous as she is to take the new job the day after. She cannot fall into sleep and thus she is late. On her way she meets MAN CHUN in an embarrassing situation. MAN CHUN returns after he has finished his study abroad.… ...

1x5 - Episode 5

September 15, 1993

Being seen by a journalist, MAN CHUN and SAN are regarded as lovers. YLK NAM is discontented as she thinks that SAN aims at fame. MO CHING affirms her idea and YUK NAM does not like SAN. MAN CHUN is not affected by the news and when they meet again they are mutually attracted the other's character and MAN CHUN starts to chase after her. There is a Christmas part in the prison but KEE feels lonely. Luckily FUNS accompanies her. The employees welcome MAN CHUN who holds a party for them. MAN KONG and TING FONG are jealous and criticize him but he ignores their words. SAN is also invited to the party and there MAN CHUN invites her to be his partner. MO CHING is jealous. KA1G is depressed as she sees the intimate relationship between SAN and MAN CHUN. CHING brings some Fat Pudding from Macau and KAO grasps some and eat. However the pudding has perished and KAO thinks that CHING lays the trap.… ...

1x6 - Episode 6

September 16, 1993

CHING knows that WAI lies to them and though WAI tells nothing, CHIN figures cut what has happened. To pay the debt, WAI works in "Hai Kee" again but in his mind he has his own plan for his career. KEE is released and she goes to see her father TONG LUNG. However he has been driven away as he was unable to pay the rent. KEE feels being abandoned. KEE goes to seek help from KAO and KAO wants her to repent. KAO worries as KEE makes friend with FUNG who is so rude. KEE runs away from KAO as she thinks that KAO does not respect FLING and has driven her away. MAN CHUN realizes that if he wants to improve the family business, he must make improvements on management and rectifies the conservative attitude. He is disappointed as YUK NAM does not show any support to his proposal. As KEE is depressed, she indulges n alcohol. WAI knows that KAU really concerns KEE and brings him to find her.… ...

1x7 - Episode 7

September 17, 1993

WAI has no faith of KEE, thinking that she will not repent. KEE is unhappy to be looked down upon. Moreover FUNG is lurked by her enemies and dies. She decides to act good. YUK HING is trusted by HAI for TAT. However LAM BO marries LEUNG KWAI HEUNG from mainland China. HEUNG and YUK HING often quarrel. HEUNG was deceived by BO but now she realises that BO has no money. Thus she decides to compete with YUK HING, hoping this can help her to get money. KANG is transferred to the department headed by HONE, MING. She has pity on HJNG MIND who is looked down upon by his family. MAN LAI married HONG MING without careful consideration and now she regrets having married him. She looks down upon him and thus she tries to get romantic love affairs to fill up her lonely heart. KEE works hard to prove that she really wants to repent. Knowing KEE's unpleasant experience, WAI decides to help her.

1x8 - Episode 8

September 20, 1993

KEE entangled by ROBERT and luckily WAI helps her to overcome the situation. Through CHINE, KEE is introduced to CHING company to be a sales representative and KEE regards KEE as her brother. KA MING is discontented with the Sungs' attitudes but for fortune of the family, he makes the greatest extent of tolerance. In fact he looks for a chance to get all the money. SIU BO admires KANG but he, is s shy that he dares not to disclose his love. KAO and CHINE accompany SIU SO and KANG in their first dating but it spoiled by them. They feels guilty. They try to make compensation and this changes their images in each others' mind. HONG MING wants to celebrate with MAN LAI for their wedding anniversary but MAY LAI does not turn up. He is shocked and KANG accompanies him. Love sparkles off and they sleep that night. SAN becomes a famous movie star and thus many companies try to invite her to make films for them.… ...

September 22, 1993

SAN is a naive girl and this gives a chance to TING FANG and MO CHING to back bite her in front of YUK NAM. SAN is depressed as after the marriage, she has to confront the rule of the Sung and feels being bounded. It is really hard for her to get into the peer especially with the presence of TING FONG and MO CHING. TAT sees that SAN has a good family and career and he is encouraged. He asks HAI to support him to r real estate company. HEUNG is unhappy and asks BO to spoil it but in vain. KITTY is discontented with WAl who is unwilling to migrate overseas with her. She dates another lover and this s seen by KEE. KEE advises WAI to treat KITTY better and KITTY thinks that KEE wants to backbite her. She is discontented. KITTY finally leaves and WAI is depressed.… ...

September 23, 1993

KAO does not know the real relationship between CHINE and TIN. He states that he is envy of TIN and PH HANG. CHIING is embarrassed. In fact TIN and AH HUNG had problems in their love ten years ago. Fran then on, TIN fell in love with CHING but AH HANG did not want to give way to them. She met a traffic accident in a rainy day when she wanted to go to question CHINS. She became paralysed. TIN felt guilty and their daughter SUET was still young. Thus he did not leave AH HANG. CHING has to wait for the return of SUET YI after finishing her study. CHINS is humiliated by AH HANG and is depressed. Her car collides into KAO's and she is sent to hospital. KAO feels guilty and thus he takes care of her. TAT runs his real estate company and he meets the climax of the market. He makes a lot of profit and shows off in front of his family.… ...

September 24, 1993

CHING is unable to walk properly as she has not completely recovered. She is depressed as she cannot go to see TIN. One day, she asks KEE to take her to meet TIN in the garden. There KAO witnesses their intimate relationship and all are embarrassed. CHING tells KAO their secret and begs him to keep it and KAO promises her and he tries to hide his love deep in his heart. TAT and YUK HING trick their customers and WAI is discontented. He argues with them again. CHING loses all her confidence and suggests to TIN that they should not meet any longer. KAO doss nit want CHING to suffer and tries to bridge them but in fact he is hurt. KEE knows that KAD admires CHING and thus she appreciates KAO in front of CHING so as to bridge. KEE Galls Oily that KAO loves her mother but her mother married her father. Therefore he regards KEE as his daughter as he cannot forget KEE's mother.… ...

September 27, 1993

WAI decides to quit his job after he sees that TAT and HING trick an old woman to buy a haunted house. WAI is accepted by KAO with KEE's help. Thus he works in KAO's company. HAI is discontented and goes to quarrel with KAO as he has bias on KAO. HONG MING feels lonely and as he meets KANG again, love grows in his heart again. WAI thinks that he should be independent and starts his own career. Thus he runs a company with KAO to provide transport services. KEE assists him and they fall in love. TAT earns a lot of money and moves into a new flat, abandoning his family. HEUNG is jealous to see YUK HING's extravagant life but at the same time she is happy to see that no one is to compete with her in the Lam family. SUET YI returns and arranges a banquet to celebrate TIN and HANG's wedding anniversary.… ...

September 28, 1993

Although HONG MING's private business goes well, he still feels inferior in front of the Sung. YUK HING becomes so rich that she often shows off in front of the others. HEUNG is a materialistic woman and thus she tries to flatter YUK HING. However she also back bites YLIC HING in front of the others. When SUET YI discovers that TIN and HANG are deceiving her, she goes to ask TIN. TIN dares not to tell her the truth. As HONG MING needs a lot of cash for his private business, he bribes MARCO to take the money of "Shui Lung". MAN CHUN wants to re-structure the managing board but his idea is opposed by MAN KWONG who aims to protect his private interest. YUK NAM is so conservative that she requests MAN a-ILN to delay his plan. HONG MING pretends that he supports MAN CHUN so as to win MAN CHUN's support. In fact he does all these for himself.

1x15 - Episode 15

September 29, 1993

TIN wants to tell SUET YI the truth but AH HANG lies to her first. Being persuaded by her mother, SUET YI believes that CHING should be responsible for the accident happened to AH HANG and she decides to take revenge. KANG bears a baby for MAN HONG and he convinces her to have abortion. At the last moment KANG decides to keep the baby. FAI is angry as he knows this but KANG deter MINGs to protect MAN HONG and she does not tell the father of the baby. All her family members suggest that KANG should not keep the baby and it is the first time that KANG does not take their words. FWI is so angry that he wants to drive KANG away and CHING stops him. CHING sends KANG to stay in KAO's home. SAN knows KANG's experience and visits her. KANG tells all her discontent about SAN but at last they have mutual understanding. SAN cannot tolerate the competition between family members in the Bangs and she wants to have a trip.… ...

September 30, 1993

SUET YI uses tricks to disclose the relationship between TIN and CHING.CHING is not forgiven by her family and she is humiliated by HEUNG and YUK HING. TAT is entangled by SUET YI and he does not know that he is being trapped more and more firmly. CHING is depressed as she is not supported by her family. Though TIN wants to make explanation, she does not accept and they quarrel. KEE meets an accident and is hurt. SIU BD worries much and this makes WAI believes that he admires KE1=. Therefore he tries to bridge then and this makes KEE angry. KAO knows that KEE admires WAI and he goes to tell WAI. WAI does not believe as he regards her as his "brother" only. SAN had promised YUK NAM to leave the entertaining business before her marriage. Now as she feels bored, she wants to take role in movies again. She is in a dilemma. One night, MO CHING entangles MAN CHUN and MAN CHUN cannot return early.… ...

1x17 - Episode 17

October 1, 1993

MO CHING reports the fight between MAN CHUN and WAI to the police to stir the troubled water. MAN CHUN does not accuse WRI but HAI still thinks that the Songs look down upon his family. Therefore HAI goes to argue with them. SAN follows WAI to go home and MAN CHUN comes to make explanation. MAN CHUN wins the Lams' trust and SAN forgives him and accepts him again. The fight between MAN CHUN and WAI becomes a scandal and YUK NAM is very discontented. She brings a huge sum of money to HAI, asking SAN to leave MAN CHUN. SAN does not take it but she realises that they are of different backgrounds and suggests that they should separate. To win over SHN's heart again, MAN CHUN decides to leave his family and this shocks YUK NAM who becomes ill. In order not to hurt YUK NAM, MAN CHUN changes his mind and begs SAN to stay. However SAN has made up her mind to leave. They have to divorce.… ...

October 4, 1993

KITTY was tortured by her husband after she had migrated abroad. Therefore she returns and asks WAI to help her. For chivalry, WAI takes good care of her. SIU BO admires KANG and his love is not demolished by the fact the KANG is bearing a baby for another person. He takes care of her and KANG is impressed by his act. KITTY wants to win over WRI's heart again and she tries to flatter him. This is seen by KEE who believes that WRI still cannot forget KITTY. Fortunately she understands the fact after WAI's explanation. KITTY is disappointed as WAI tells her that he has another lover. After SAN has left MAN CHIN, she returns to the movie-making career. She refuses to act as she finds that it is a blue film. As her fame has lowered to a low rank, she has to take some insignificant role in movies. This leads to some unnecessary comments. KITTY feels hopeless as WAI no longer loves her.… ...

1x19 - Episode 19

October 5, 1993

KITTY thinks that she can use tricks to get WAI hack but it is a vain attempt. Therefore she changes her mind and tries to spoil the relationship between NIAI and KEE. Being influenced by KITTY, KEE loses faith in WAI, thinking that he will return to KITTY. Thus she decides to take the course of being trained overseas, thinking that this can give both of them a period of time to make careful consideration. On the day of leaving, WAI cannot go to the airport to see KEE off as he is entangled by KITTY. This worsens the relationship between WAI and KEE. KANG gives birth to a boy. KAO and SIU BO take care of her. Though it seems that HAI does not forgive her, in fact HAI worries about her. SAN indulges herself in working and her career becomes more and more successful. She is satisfied.… ...

October 6, 1993

WAI begs KEE to marry him and KEE promises. HAI is excited to hear the news and starts the arrangement for the wedding with KAO. AH HANG tries to make use of SET YI to take revenge. She claims that she is willing to withdraw from the triangular entanglement. This sows seeds of hatred in SUET YI's heart. CHING meets AH HAIVG and AH HANG uses tricks to make SUET YI believe that she is humiliated. SUET YI is so angry that she slaps CHING.TAT is deceived by SET VI and when YUK HING knows it, she goes to argue with him. YUK HING feels frustrated and she decides to win over TAT's heart again. She tries to flatter him but TAT is annoyed with her. On the eve of marriage, WAI is shocked as his business collapses. KEE gives him courage and is willing to work hard with him to start all over again.

1x21 - Episode 21

October 7, 1993

KEE insists to marry WHI when he is in financial difficulties. She knows that she is not going to have extravagant life and she knows that the ceremony must be simple to save money. However CHING lends WWI money to hold a banquet. HAI and WAI have an argument again and CHING settles it down. MAN CHUN attends the banquet and he has a seat beside SAN. As they have not seen each other for a long time, they are embarrassed. SAN is disappointed to know that MAN CHUN rank his career more important than his marriage. SAN is unwilling to go to the ceremony as she is afraid to confront HAI. However KAO gives her a warm invitation and her father understands her situation, she feels relieved. WAI and KEE finally get married after overcoming so many difficulties. MAN CHUN goes to Japan for business. On his way, the aeroplane meets an accident and SAN worries much when she gets know of it.… ...

October 8, 1993

KANG finds that men are not trustworthy after the incidence with HONG MING. She decides to be independent and brings her child up. SIU SO admires KANG and though he has been refused from time to time, he still tries his best to take care of her and the baby. KANG is deeply impressed. HAI in fact cares about KONG but for his self-prestige, he does not exert it. KAO knows his idea and laughs at him. MAN CHUN finally makes "Shui Lung" to be a public company in the stock market. As he thinks that he has finished his duty, he wants to resign but YUK NAM asks him to stay. Finally he agrees to work in "Shui Lung". MAN KONG accidentally finds that HONG MING is running his own business with the goods of "Shui Lung". He wants to threaten him but in turn he is threatened by MAN KONG who knows many of his dirty tricks, At last he works with HON, MING to expel MAN CHUN so as to get "Shui Lung”.… ...

1x23 - Episode 23

October 11, 1993

SUET YI tricks TAT, forcing him to make a choice between her and YUK HING.TAT decides to leave YUK HING. YUK HING is shocked and she tries to flatter TAT but this cannot help her to win over TAT's heart. She is depressed. YUK HING goes to SUET YI's working place to question her. SUET YI tricks TAT, making him present. In front of TAT, SUET YI pretends to abe so weak that TAT caters for her. HEUNG criticises YUK HING when she knows what has happened. YUK HING feels hopeless and wants to terminate her life but she is stopped by CHING. When the others know it, they have pity on her and try to help her. YUK HING feels ashamed and decides to changer her selfish attitude. CHING knows what SUET YI is doing and reminds TAT but TAT regards CHING backbiting SUET YI only. CHING feels guilty as she thinks SUET YI has done the dirty trick because of her.… ...

1x24 - Episode 24

October 12, 1993

MAN CHUN does not know what to do and SAN gives him courage to stand up again. They have more thorough understanding of each other and they decide to continue their marriage. As a typhoon is approaching, KAO worries about CHING and goes to the island to find her. There CHING meets an accident and luckily KAO comes to save her. CHING is impressed and appreciates KAO. MPH d-LN finds a job in a garment factory as a designer. However he cannot change is practice to manage the others. Other colleagues cannot accept him. With KAO's support, CHING realises that her love with TIN is only a fantasy which cannot come true, so she decides to leaves LEUNG TIN. KANG is alone at home, taking care of her baby. She is so tired that she faints. KAO and SIU BO are not at home. Luckily HAI comes and takes care of her. The gap between them is removed.

1x25 - Episode 25

October 13, 1993

TONG LUNG appears in front of KEE and threatens her to give him money. KEE wants to hide up her past but this only causes more misunderstanding. CHING decides to accept KAO. KAO is excited and he tries to correct his rude behaviour so as to narrow down the gap between them. With CNING's assistance, YUK HING runs her own sushi bar. LEUNG TIN misses CHING and tries to get her back. He decides to divorce with AH HAN. SUET YI is angry and she also forces TAT to leave YUK HING. TONG TUNG farces KEE to give him money and once accidentally discloses that KEE was kept in prison. The Lams are surprised and HEUNG gives her critical comments. The love between SAN and MAM CHUN is testified again as they are busy in their own career. HEUNG loses some money and KEE is being suspected. She is forced to leave and in order to protect her, WAI goes with her.

1x26 - Episode 26

October 14, 1993

WAI and KEE enjoy their small family life after they have left the Lams. CHING firmly trusts KEE and wants to make defence in front of HAI. HAI is angry as WAI has not told him about KEE's past and he refuses to accept her. CHING is deeply impressed by KAO and falls in love with him. KAO is excited to know that he is being accepted by CHING. MAN CHUN has to overcome many difficulties as he has no experience. On the other hand, SAN earns fame and fortune in her film-making. The gap between them is widened as they have no time to share together. SAN knows MAN CHUN's feeling and she gives up the chance to act in an overseas film. MAN CHUN is impressed by her act and at the same time he thinks that SAN should not give up the chance.

1x27 - Episode 27

October 15, 1993

CHING is in a dilemma as TIN wants her to stay with him. KAO finally has to gut to disclose his love in front of CHING. CHING does not know what to do. At Mid-autumn Festival, TAT misses YUK HING and wants to visit her but his plan is disrupted by SUET YI who entangles him. SUET YI tries to flatter TAT by bring him home to see AH HAN. AH HAN scolds CHING in front of him. He is embarrassed. WAI wants to expand his business but he does not have enough capital. KAO appreciated WAI and decides to invest in his company. WAI and KEE are happy. SAN becomes a famous movie-star and is surrounded by scandals but MAN CHUN trusts her. MAN KONG loses much in the stock market and he sells property of "Shui Lung" to pay the debt. It is discovered and he runs away. YUK NAM is shocked and is sick. MAN CHUN visits YUK NAM and she begs him to return and work in "Shui Lung". MAN CHUN does not know what to do.

1x28 - Episode 28

October 18, 1993

When SAN knows that YUK NAM has requested MAN CHUN to work in "Shui Lung" again, she objects to it. However MAN CHUN does not want to shock YUK NAM and for his family, he decides to accept the duty though he has to leave SAN again. HONG MING thinks that "Shui Lung" will be completely under his control after MAN KONG's leaving. When he knows that MAN CHUN will return, he uses tricks to shirk duties and accuses onto him. SAN is angry as MAN CHUN does not listen to her so she goes to act in a film overseas. They separate again. MAN CHUN discovers that "Shut Lung" runs bankruptcy as it is related to HONG MING. When he wants to carry out investigation, he is accused by HONG MING. CHING has an argument with the others and KAO helps her to overcome the situation. This helps the seeds of love to blossom in their hearts. SAN faints when she is taking the film. In the hospital, it is proved that she is carrying a baby.… ...

1x29 - Episode 29

October 19, 1993

TAT is forced by SUET YI to divorce with YUK HING. YUK HING tries to be calm and discusses with TAT about SUET YI's character, hoping that he will change his mind but at last TAT leaves her. HAI is angry and goes to TAT's office to question him but this does not change TAT's decision. SAN returns and wants to meet MAN CHUN but this is interrupted by MO CHING. When they meet, they cannot cane to mutually accepted decision and finally they decide to divorce. HAI knows that SAN is bearing a baby and suggests her to tell MAN CHUN. SAN does not want MAN CHUN to stay simply for the baby, so she refuses HAI's suggestion. MAN CHUN collects evidence about HONG MING's corruption and he reports to the police. Before YUK NAM dies, she requests him to manage "Shui Lung" properly and he agrees. She passes away peacefully.

1x30 - Episode 30

October 20, 1993

TAT's business comes to a failure and is in serious debt. He goes to beg HAI to help him. HAI is shocked. KA KING dates with NICOLE and they spend a night outside. NICOLE's father reports to the police and accuses KA KING having kidnapped his daughter. Their parents quarrel in the police station. TAT finds that YUIC HING sells her property to help him and he is touched and feels guilty. HAI also sells his flat and restaurant to help TAT. The whole family work together to raise money to help TAT. YUK HING has no hope to have TAT back and she decides to live with her family in the LISA. TAT begs her to stay and finally she agrees. TAT decides to marry YUK HING again and he goes to tell SUET Yl. SUET YI wants to suggest breaking up with TAT so as to shock him and take revenge but TAT makes the suggestion in advance. Her plan is in vain. WAI wants to help TAT but his van is set on fore but his competitors.… ...

1x31 - Episode 31

October 21, 1993

HAI suffers from apoplexy and everyone worries about him. However HEUNG grasps the chance to have a firm control over the fortune. The others are angry with her. MAN CHUN asks SAN about HAI's condition but SAN is not touched by him. WAI has mercy on MAN CHLJN and encourages him to have patience to wait for SAN to change her mind one day. TAT feels guilty after all the tragedies happened to his family. He decides to change and rebuild the family. TAT realizes that YLJC HING still cares about him and his family so he begs her to forgive him. However YUK HING refuses him. KA KING thinks that the love between him and NICOLE is mature enough and he wants to marry her. CHING advises NICOLE that they have no firm financial foundation and they should have careful consideration before they act. NICOLE accepts her words and decides to migrate to the USA with her mother, leaving KA KING behind.… ...

1x32 - Episode 32

October 22, 1993

SAN is seriously hurt and HAI's condition also worsens. Everyone is exhausted and fortunately both of them recover and SRN gives birth to a girl. MRN CHUN is very busy and he is unable to accompany SAN in the hospital.SRN is disappointed and claims that she will leaves MM CHLN and has the baby. HAI recovers and is happy to see that every member of the family is willing to work together. KAO gives a hand to get "HAI Kee" back and HAI feels relieved. WAI is lurked by his enemy TONG who is a member of the triad society. His career is nearly terminated but at the last moment FAT cones to help him.FAT helps him as in the past WAI has given him a helping hand. Thus WAI is able to continue his work. KAO begs CHING to marry him in a restaurant in front of many people. CHING is impressed and agrees to marry him. SAN feels exhausted after she has given birth to the baby.… ...

October 25, 1993

SUET YI is angry and she wants to kill CHING and luckily KAO protects CHING. SUET YI loses her memory as she cannot take the shock. TAT visits her and YUK HING is not jealous as she understands TAT. TAT realises that YUK HING is innocent and begs her to come home but YUK HING ref MAN CHUN finally wakes up and SAN knows that she still loves him. Therefore she asks the master to let her continue the love with MAN CHUN.
