After refusing to remove the commoner’s faction from the Estates-General assembly, Oscar is found guilty of treason and her men are locked up, awaiting execution. Oscar’s father, overcome with grief, takes it upon himself to deal with Oscar.

During the Storming of the Bastille, Oscar is shot. Bastille Prison falls shortly after, marking one of the first major strides for the French Revolution. Later, Alain, Bernard, and Rosalie reflect on France’s shift in power, and the lives that were lost.
