One day, CHI finds and captures a suspect. She then takes him to the court office and realizes that he is eunuch LING. SO and SAU hide away quickly in order to avoid disclosing the identity. However, CHI accommodates LING at her house in order to apologize for the misunderstanding; SO and SAU are so scared to be recognized by LING. On the next day, LING tends to check the progress of the construction of princess statue; therefore, SO returns to the court office as quickly as possible in order to hide up the truth. However, she is stuck on the way when HONG asks her to do a favor for fixing a wall.

Eunuch LING is very disappointed when he discovers the statue of Princess is damaged. Therefore, NIN orders the workers to remedy the defect and speed up the construction work immediately. Meanwhile, NIN finds SO sneaking out at the doorway with a hammer secretly. Hence, NIN suspects SO, who damaged the statue. Since this is the second time that SO commits against the law, NIN punishes her to follow him to the hilltop for an investigation of robbery. SO is unhappy because she is bite by the mosquito severely in the forest. When darkness comes, SO becomes scare and misunderstands BILL is the robber. NIN feels disappointed for capability and her wrong assumption. SO rings the alarm bell again later.

NIN checks it out carelessly and both SO and NIN are kidnapped by the robbers. The robber intends to rape SO because of her beauty. Fortunately, NIN is able to convince them to give up the thought. SO appreciates his help and begins to change her bias on NIN. NIN and SO find chance to escape but SO injures her face when she tries to rescue NIN. Since then, NIN does not assign duties to SO anymore.

Finally, NIN and SO return home safely. CHI celebrates their return with delicious food. However, MEI refuses to join them and claims that it is too early to celebrate while the robbers are still not under arrest. But other family members continue to persuade MEI to try the food; but she throws up immediately when she tastes it. Hence, all of them suspect MEI is pregnant. CHI thinks that MEI is feeling embarrass to admit her pregnancy; therefore, asks the family members to keep a silent. Meanwhile, she prepares more delicious food for MEI in order to improve her health condition. MEI feels dilemma to turn down the kindness of CHI until one day when her mother, KUE visits her, MEI asks KUE to take away all the food. But LO discovers and notices that MEI is unable to digest such heavy food instead of pregnant.

On the other hand, SO uses the excuse of her injury and refuses to carry out heavy work. NIN and BILL find out her trick and make fun on her. They tell SO that dirty sock could cure the scar on her face and ask SO to try the method. Since SO does not want them to discover her lies, she has to listen to NIN unwillingly. Apart, NIN and BILL decide to support HONG to attend the Hanlin Academy examination financially. Everyone wants to know more about the future. SO and YEK visit SIN again for their destiny. This time, SIN foresees that YEK will marry HONG; however, his deviation makes YEK so annoying.

At first, SO cannot understand why YEK feels so irritated until she listens to the explanation of YEK. In fact, SO has a different opinion towards the character of HONG and asks YEK to treat the relationship in another viewpoint. The next day, YEK meets a pickpocket when she is eating snack on the street. She does not aware of her wallet and is stolen by the thief eventually. She discovers the lost until she checks the bill. The owner of the restaurant requires YEK to wash all the dishes as compensation. Meanwhile, HONG realizes that YEK needs assistance; he voluntarily replaces YEK to washing the dishes. YEK appreciates his help at heart.

On the other hand, DAI delivers meat to the court office daily and has a chance to get closer with NIN. NIN treats DAI as a friend and socializes with her in courtesy. However, DAI fantasy too much and misunderstands the kindness of NIN. She tends to date NIN and asks SAU to do her a favor for buying tickets on her behalf. Unfortunately, SAU is unable to fulfill his promise and asks NIN to help. Therefore, NIN guesses that SAU is attached to DAI and intends to be their matchmaker. His ignorance offends DAI instantly and DAI smashes NIN right away.

November 6, 2001

When NIN said he wants to be the matchmaker for SAU and DAI, he scares SAU to runaway immediately. DAI follows and explains the story to SAU; hence, he realizes that DAI falls in love with NIN instead. DAI asks SAU to keep a secret. On the other hand, CHI concerns about the future of YEUK and tries to find her a good husband; but it is not so easy. Meanwhile, YEK wanders at the street and finds that someone is taking advantage on HONG. Surprisingly, she helps HONG to drive away those people voluntarily. Apart, NIN’s teacher comes from the Mainland to visit NIN suddenly. He tells NIN that the winner of the Hanlin Academy this year is come from Resonance Town. By chance, SO overhears the name of winner and informs family KIM at once. All of them believe in SO and assume HONG is the champion. Of course, YEK is overwhelmed to hear the news but she begins to worry that HONG will look down on her since then.… ...

Afterwards, YEK find SO for comforting. SO encourages YEK to show her love to HONG directly; thus, they finalize the wedding engagement. HONG will marry YEK the day after tomorrow then. The result of the Hanlin Academy examination is announced finally. However, HONG is not the champion.

YEK faints at once when she realizes that her dream is shattered; moreover, she puts the blame on NIN and SO for misleading and treats HONG coldly. CHI pacifies and encourages HONG not to give up. After awhile, YEK cools down and faces the reality. She demands HONG to study harder for the next examination. Since HONG is very absent-minded; therefore, he studies overnight in order to speed up the progress. In view of HONG’s afford, MEI also encourages YUI to plan for his future. But YUI has no interest at all and goes asleep quickly. Strangely, YUI has a nightmare that he became a beggar due to his laziness.

He wakes up with fears and decides to attend school again. He becomes the classmate of HONG and they attend class together. Suddenly, NIN bursts in the classroom and arrests their teacher for his corruption in obtaining the examination paper illegally. Since then, YUI gives up studying and continues his laziness again. On contrary, HONG bears a lot of pressure from himself and makes the family so worried.

CHI arranges HONG to work in Honey Cave. But the capability of HONG isdisappointed;moreover, he cannot get along with other colleagues. CHI thinks out an alternative measure and asks FU to teach HONG how to make noodle. FU is not a generous person; he is reluctant to treat HONG as his pupil and teaches him at all. Besides, MEI is very dissatisfied when YUI enrolls for his leech for a competition. She thinks that YUI is too lighthearted and forbids him to play with the leech anymore. YUI, of course, disagrees and finds LO to supporting her in bargain with MEI. LO does not want to upset YUI; hence, stands by YUI to negotiate with MEI harshly. Meanwhile, she provokes YUI to rebuke MEI by saying MEI has killed his top leech fighter.

MEI is upset for the marriage and thinks of her savior eventually. She then finds SIN for further indication. SIN gives MEI a thesaurus; which wrote a word ‘YAU’ in it. Afterwards, MEI goes back to the wood where she met her savior. On her way return home, she meets a man who is interested in the jade ring that MEI is carrying. In the conversation, the man introduces himself as LAM YAU and convinces MEI to believe that he is the man who saved her previously.

The loyalty of MEI is being challenged when she met YAU. Meanwhile, LO and her maid, CHUN MUI finds MEI suspicious and follow her. But they are not careful enough so KUE discovers them easily. KUE misunderstands that LO is investigating whether MEI is helping her parents financially. Therefore, LO takes the advantage to false them; moreover, LO buys a pitcher from CHUEN intentionally. CHUEN does not aware of her plot and boost about the quality of pitcher. Apart, MEI discovers the truth when she finds SAE LUNG and MA FOO investigate YAU one day. She notices that YAU cheats her and carries a knife to dun for debts. She discloses the identity of YAU and requests him to return the jade ring. Furthermore, MEI tears off his clothes for searching. Meanwhile, MEI shares her latest incident with auntie BLIND and makes up her mind to forgo her savior but loyal to YAU forever. The soft throat of YAU recovers on the next day. Auntie Blind recognizes his voice when YAU says ‘thank you’. MEI realizes her savior is, in fact, her husband YAU at the end and they return home happily.

On the other hand, CHI advises FU to take HONG for food research; meanwhile, rebukes FU for not teaching HONG in making the noodle. At the western district of Resonance Town, there is a restaurant named Flamingo, which its business is suffering from economic downfall. FU takes advantage to insult them for their poor quality of noodle. In fact, the chef, CHENG MAN MAO, of Flamingo Restaurant is being headhunted and left. In view of this, FU challenges Flamingo Restaurant directly and asks them to open a branch near Honey Cave for comparison. However, he knows that he has over boost and nearly falls on the ground when he notices that MAO will be his competitor in Resonance Town after the opening of a new restaurant later. The grand opening of No. 1 Restaurant attracts a lot of people; whilst, the business of Honey Cave drops significantly.

At the same time, FU suffers from a strange illness and is unable to handle heavy duties. KATE seeks help from many famous doctors and they diagnosis FU has a high possibility for being disable. FU is upset for his illness and feels worry about the business of Honey Cave as well. Eunuch HOI schedules to visit Resonance Town soon, NIN suggests FU to admit his illness then. Everyone feels pity for FU and is upset for letting No. 1 Restaurant to become the best restaurant in town. They begin to consider HONG for replacing FU in the competition. Hence, YEK takes the chance to blame FU for not teaching HONG properly in the past. Under such critical circumstances, FU has no alternatives but agrees to brief HONG the details in making noodle.

To kill time, SO, LO, YEK and KATE play mahjong together. SO feels tired very soon and goes out to wash her face. She returns refreshingly; moreover, she wins the game continuously then. But she feels tired quickly and makes an excuse to wash her face again. LO and others find her suspicious and follow secretly. They discover SO and SAU are eating noodles in secret in order to uphold their concentration. As there is a superficial effect after eating the noodles, SO and SAU cannot refuse the noodles. LO and others feel strange; therefore, CHI decides to investigate during the night. She visits No. 1 Restaurant and discovers that BUN disposes the soup of the noodles carefully. Then CHI checks out the litterbin and finds the critical evidence.

On the other hand, HONG completes in learning the making of noodles. However, the family members still find the noodles are in lack of a major essence. Due to selfishness, FU is unwilling to disclose all his experience to HONG. FU explains that he has withheld the critical part while teaching HONG. Eunuch HOI is very particular about food and gives a very high compliment to the noodles that made by HONG. YEK feels so proud; however, HONG clarifies that the noodles is made by someone else instead.

DAI is seeking for justice because she thinks that eunuch LING has sexually harassed her. She takes eunuch LING to the court office and asks NIN to justify. Since eunuch is unable to sexually harass DAI, NIN has to explain the fact to DAI in embarrass. Apart, SO begins to recover from the drug and resumes her appetite. She eats all the expensive food and makes CHUEN and KUE suffer. They tend to send SO back to family KIM; however, SO pretends ill again in order to stay behind. By accident, she discovers that DAI falls in love with SIN.

LO and YUI refuse to take up the responsibility for offending eunuch LING because they scare to be executed or punished harshly. When eunuch LING requests for a pair of scissors from CHI, all of them frighten the nightmare will come true. Fortunately, it is just a misunderstanding and everyone relief. NIN buys a jade for eunuch LING as present. Coincidentally, eunuch LING breaks his jade at the same time. The gift inspires eunuch LING to repay the kindness of NIN differently. He invites NIN to go outing and visits around Resonance Town; meanwhile, he shows his admiration to NIN deliberately. NIN feels uneasy and realizes the intention of eunuch LING at last.

YUI and HONG take a break when eunuch LING went out. They just relax awhile because eunuch LING and NIN come back at sudden; therefore, they hide behind CHI for protection immediately. But eunuch LING concerns about NIN only and suggests to bath with NIN together. Everyone hears it with shock. Afterwards, NIN tells them more details and they begin to throw up.

CHI thinks out a plan to help NIN to get rid of the harassment from eunuch LING. She prepares a fake wedding for NIN and DAI in order to scare off eunuch LING. Her plan seems successful not just on eunuch LING; but also on DAI. DAI is so happy to organizing the wedding and dresses on the wedding gown. Meanwhile, MEI makes fun on DAI and speaks out her secret. Eunuch BO hits and faints NIN; however, he wakes up fine at home on the next day. NIN feels suspicious that he lost nothing and safe. Suddenly, eunuch BO arrives and announces that the application of NIN to be a eunuch is approved and is required to carry the process within 3 days. Moreover, he carries the letter of application with the signature of NIN as evidence. He emphasizes that the breach of agreement will be treated as betrayer to the king.

YUI feels annoy and carries his leech to play with his friends. But his friends tease YUI unless when his leech fails in the game. YUI bets to win the game; otherwise, he will take off all his clothes then. Besides, LO wants YUI to buy the cat’s eye locket for her as present. But she refuses to accept it when she knows that YUI gets the locket from MEI. LO is unhappy for being neglected; hence, she poisons when maids HUNG and TSUI go out the kitchen. MEI is sick after eating the food then.

MEI returns home with a lot of presents. She meets an old man who intends to commit suicide. LO, YEK and KATE frighten to death; while MEI rescues the old man bravely. LO feels discontent and believes that the bravery of MEI is come from the power of cat’s eye. And, LO eases her anger on her maid, CHUN MAY instead. Later, MEI loses the locket after crashing with SO accidentally. Therefore, LO provokes their misunderstanding and accuses SO as the thief. Meanwhile, SO is hurry to leave family KIM for other purpose and owes them a detail explanation. MEI seeks the help of CHI for justice; however, SO and SAU has gone already. LO says that MEI ill-treats SO and forces SO to leave in a rush.

SO loses appetite and orders HUNG to throw away the pork noodles. CHUEN feels pity and eats up the bowl of noodles. FU teases him for breaching the vow and uses the spell to fear him. MEI feels dilemma for their quarrel and apologizes to FU to settle the dispute at last. CHUEN is discontent and swears to take revenge later. BILL receives an imperial order for family KIM. SO hears happily; but the lie of FU is disclosed eventually. FU returns home with a heavy heart. He finds all the family members are packing the luggage to retrieve the house. Moreover, YEK and CHI request FU to terminate their relationship. FU feels strange for their seriousness but he soon notices that the king is died because of his noodles. He notices that he is innocent and tells them the truth then.

The next day, CHUEN asks DAI to deliver meat to the court office as usual and meets SAU at the doorway. SAU suggests to deliver the meat for her; whilst, he asks DAI to bring some snack to SO at the seashore. When DAI reaches the seashore, she finds NIN is there also. She is very happy because she overhears and misunderstands the conversation between NIN and SO. On the other hand, SO discovers that the appetite of SAU and DAI is very similar and they could become close friend. Meanwhile, LO, MEI and YEK are curious about the age of KATE; they attempt to find out her horoscope in many ways but fail. Therefore, they give up at last. On their way to visit auntie eighth, horrible news arrived. Auntie eighth died suddenly and the celebration becomes a funeral ceremony instead. During the ceremony, a priest invites those attendees that if their horoscopes is pig have to be excused; hence, KATE and LO leave the room together. At the same time, LO realizes the horoscope of KATE and discovers her age eventually. KATE does not deny her assumption but everyone feels unexpected indeed. Since the fortuneteller deviates that it is an unfortunate year for horoscope pig and those people must wear yellow clothes to bring in good luck.

MEI breaks the vase that brought by YEK recently. MEI notices the seriousness and scares that LO will take the advantage to stab behind her back. Unexpectedly, YEK does not blame MEI despite she knows the truth. Furthermore, she still treats MEI as her sworn sister. Besides, MEI and KUE help DAI to dress up beautifully for a blind date. DAI takes chance to propose her love to NIN instead. NIN has reservation towards CHIN CHUNG YUI, the blind dater of DAI and tries to explain the illegal activity that YUI is involved. However, DAI misunderstands his kindness as a confirmation of love. But MEI has confusion towards the personality of NIN. She thinks that NIN is a playboy when she finds him having a close relationship with SO. In fact, SO advises NIN to cherish the love of DAI and causes the misunderstandings. Just when they return home, they meet BILL who discovers a woman’s dead body and a suspect. BILL tries to capture the suspect; meanwhile, CHI passes by and helps. The suspect named MAO KEI LUN is under arrested at last.

NIN discovers that CHI visits KEI LUN at prison in midnight. He feels suspicious and discusses with SO. SO asks NIN if he knows KEI LUN when he was small; whilst, NIN also wonders if CHI and KEI LUN are friends. Hence, NIN tries methods to tempt CHI confess her relationship with KEI LUN. On the other hand, CHI is investigating the murder case secretly in order to prove the innocent of KEI LUN. She finds that KEI LUN and CHUEN had a quarrel at a brothel for a prostitute previously; moreover, the victim has died 3 days before discovering. More evidences are revealed and proved that the woman’s husband is the murderer. NIN captures the suspect and releases KEI LUN at last.

Besides, MUI tailor makes a pair of boots and gives them to BILL as present. BILL brings them home and finds DAI is also making a pair of boots for NIN coincidentally. Since DAI is not good at sewing, she hurts her fingers and bleeds. DAI discovers the boots that BILL is carrying, are very delicate; hence, she takes them away when BILL leaves the boots on the table and helps DAI to find benedict. DAI gives the boots to NIN right away. The next day, BILL feels heartbreak when NIN shows off his new boots. Apart, DAI is fond of martial art; when she finds the new arrival of sword, she is very excited. KEI LUN continues to search on his own and meets KUE. KUE visits MEI and suffers a stomachache for eating too full. KUE finds KEI LUN walks around the restroom suspiciously and misunderstands that he is a satyr. KEI LUN also searches the every room in family KIM. Meanwhile, LO takes a break from mahjong and changes her clothes. She finds that the shadow of KEI LUN, who is sneaking out from her bedroom.
