1x1 - Episode 1

July 21, 2008

The stray dog SIU PA chanced upon the dog lover CHOW CHI-YU while wandering in the street. YU gave it a loaf of bread. YU has changed job and worked in his boyfriend YING HOI-LEUNG’s advertising company. However, she agreed not to reveal their relationship in public. MIU CHUN is the senior management of the advertising company but everyone has kept him at a distance. The business of LAN and JIM’s pet shop is great. YU helps take the dogs for a walk after office hour every day. YU met SIU PA again in the street. Meanwhile, the dog catching team organized by BUT-KAU was there. YU then helped SIU PA to slip out. YU and LEUNG put SIU PA in the empty apartment nearby. In fact, CHUN is the new tenant of that apartment. In order to help SIU PA, LEUNG used it as a leading role of an advertisement. Thus, SIU PA does not need to stray around the street anymore……

Having back to the company, CHUN found SIU PA in his office. He immediately recognized that its name is “SIU PA”. It has surprised YU. From the composition of HIU-TUNG about his goal, JIM found that the dream career of his son is a dog trainer. It made him very happy. However, in order not to discontent LAN, he asked his son to change his goal to a doctor. CHUN did not realize that he stepped on the dog’s dung which stank out the conference room and enraged the customer to leave. CHUN and KAU became friends. KAU told CHUN about the tragedy of how a stray dog brought closure of his kennel. CHUN also told KAU that SIU PA was not raised by him. Having learnt the fact, KAU blamed YU at home and requested her to kick SIU PA out. The boss CHI-TAT was flared up when he discovered that KU wanted to change an advertising company……

YU visited SIU PA at CHUN’s apartment and accidentally found out he was the owner of SIU PA’s big brother TAI PA. She criticized him agitatedly for his irresponsibility of dumping of TAI PA. JIM has been convincing CHUN to train SIU PA and care with heart. Finally he made it. The boss CHI-TAT announced the company’s success of two awards in the industry and proposed a company trip to Singapore for getting the awards and vacation. YU wanted to make friends with GLORIA, the daughter of the hotel boss but in fact she has already known LEUNG. KAU has met LYHOME, a famous breed of wolf dog, and discovered it is the grandson of the dead “King of the dog”. He then offered HK for breeding. GLORIA has invited TAT’s company to an ideas promotion meeting. YU agreed to stay in Hong Kong cooperating with CHUN. SIU PA slipped out from the apartment……

In the ideas promoting meeting, CHUN blamed GLORIA and halted the meeting. Having left, CHUN was badly accused by YU in public. CHUN confessed that he has abandoned SIU PA. YU was very anxious. In fact SIU PA was sent to Tung Chung by chance, thus, YU could not find it. YU was looking for his beloved cat CANCAN while YU was on the way home. However, she found CANCAN staying at her home afterwards. In fact, it is JIM who brought CANCAN home when he found it straying outside. YU decided not to inform CHUN. Actually CANCAN was a gift from KA after CHUN has recovered from sickness. Because of this, they became lovers. Having exhausted and because of smell malfunction during sickness, CHUN did not aware of inhaling excess gas. He then passed out. SIU PA has found the way home and luckily it did, it discovered CHUN’s unconsciousness. Having heard the dog’s bark, YU noted it.

SIU PA has lost its wits because it did not eat anything for several days, thus, the advertisement could not carry on. On the other hand, KAU decided to buy LYHOME at HK,000 as “Trial raising fee”. He brought it home then. Afterwards, he was arrested at home for being charged with stealing dog. Actually MO was not the owner of LYHOME. Having been recorded of his statement, KAU met CHUN. In fact MO, the one who cheated KAU, was CHUN’s father. YU and CHUN found SIU PA was missing. Eventually they found it hiding in the cabinet storing TAI PA’s bone ash. By seeing SIU PA’s sorrow of losing its kin, CHUN talked about his history. In fact CHUN was suffered from nasopharyngeal cancer years ago. In the course of treatment, the nurse KA had been encouraging him from time to time. They had decided to get married afterwards. However, in order to save TAI PA, KA was knocked down by a car on the road and passed away……

GLORIA, the daughter of the hotel boss wanted to hire TAT’s company for their advertisement and building up their image. However, as KEI did not want to come back to HK, TAT wanted to give up the job. CHUN and the team have convinced him to take it. CHUN and GEORGE discussed about cost cutting ideas and found out the most effective way was to cut their department. But CHUN asked GEORGE to delete the file. Because of the unhappy experience with her family, YU did not want to go home but rather stay office accompanied with LEUNG. LEUNG sent YU home and met KAU. But he did not admit their relationship. KAU then wanted to find a boyfriend for YU. MO proposed matching YU and CHUN. Unexpectedly, KAU looked at CHUN carefully like examining a dog. On the other hand, the hotel promotion plan was completed with success. TAT celebrated with the team. He suddenly told CHUN and was glad that CHUN was willing to cut the whole department……

GEORGE told CHUN that the company wanted to get back SIU PA. MO then noted that CHUN was unemployed. CHUN and SIU PA have long and close relationship so CHUN did not want to render SIU PA back. In fact, KEI would like to find a spouse for her beloved dog. CHUN said he would not render SIU PA to a headstrong KEI. KAU has praised CHUN in front of YU. In fact, he wanted to sound her out about CHUN. YU felt weird. CHUN told YU about KAU’s plan of “breeding” them. YU dated with LEUNG but found they were very intimate. LEUNG explained that they were just friends. A gift was slipped out from LEUNG. YU thought that was for her. LEUNG had no other excuse but to give that to her. LAN complained that JIM had no business mind and asked him to take care of his son at home. JIM had nowhere to vent but to go to Karaoke. He met the unemployed CHUN and the idler MO. Three men aired their grievances at Karaoke……

For the sake of career, LAN wanted to do ligature surgery. But eventually she asked JIM to do it instead. YU knew that WAH kept on shopping even after CHUN has been unemployed. She tried to stop WAH spending extravagantly. Having taken over Customer Service Department, KEI did not know how to kick off and she used recruitment as an excuse to find answers from the candidates. YU has recommended CHUN to KEI. GEORGE proposed to make fool of CHUN during interview. On the other hand, MO has told WAH that CHUN has been unemployed. WAH has then decided to get divorced for alimony. As CHUN knew that WAH still loves FAI, he asked her not to divorce. In order not to make WAH worried about him, CHUN has decided to go for the interview. During interview, CHUN has taught KEI how to manage people. But KEI said she would discuss with her dog for hiring him or not……

MO and CHUN had no idea about seeking customers. Meanwhile, they met JIM. CHUN asked JIM to place an advertisement at his company. In order to help CHUN, JIM said he wanted to place a good advertisement at prime time. CHUN stopped him and suggested advertising on web. CHUN thought that good customer service is to 100% comply with customers’ requirement. Eventually the advertisement sucked and it was badly criticized on Internet. TAT wanted to sack CHUN but YU helped mitigate for him by using KEI’s commitment as the excuse. Having seen what YU did for CHUN, MO and WAH advised CHUN that YU has the feeling towards him. Unexpectedly CHUN declined YU for her love. Without a second thought, YU told CHUN that she actually has a boyfriend. By observing into the details, CHUN found out LEUNG is YU’s boyfriend……

CHUN asked YU to have CANCAN as a role model that to be ego but not a yes man. YU dressed well at work and shone her colleagues. LEUNG dated YU to watch a film and YU agreed. Having known that YU wanted to be a volunteer for pet, CHUN registered for her right away. He wanted to help YU finding her interest. In order to help YU to make a change, CHUN agreed to help her handle the chores. KAU thought CHUN has started to go after YU. Because of JIM’s wimpy character, TUNG was rude to him. TUNG refused when LAN asked her to apologize to his father. CHUN told LAN that JIM found himself useless because LAN prohibited him from training dogs. Eventually LAN has allowed JIM to be a dog trainer again. KAU wanted to have more grandsons but JIM declined by excuse. YU proposed to use pet adoption as the theme while the company wanted to produce an advertisement for a contest. Having seen the confident YU, LEUNG was being attracted.

AARON, YU’s colleague has sent a bouquet to YU and asked whether she has a boyfriend. YU denied. LEUNG was unpleasant about it. LEUNG proposed to visit YU’s family but felt bad while seeing KAU and CHUN chitchatting. LEUNG finally admitted YU was his girlfriend but KAU blamed him for not caring about YU. LEUNG promised to be good to YU. He inserted his love manifesto in the front page of a newspaper and formally announced that YU was his girlfriend. YU felt so sweet. In order to reveal the real LEUNG, KEI tempted him but was blamed by CHUN. It has displeased KEI so that KEI disclosed to the press that LEUNG and GLORIA have underground relationship. On the other hand, having back from vacation, LAN and JIM were annoyed about YU for opening of pets’ adoption service. LAN told KAU about JIM’s ligation. KAU passed out with anger.

LAN has moved back to stay with her maiden family because of her bad relationship with KAU. JIM has persuaded her for several times but did not work. Thus he stayed with LAN in her maiden family. KAU invited CHUN for dinner and asked him to approach YU. CHUN did not know how to respond. In fact, he found himself caring about YU so much. KEI and TAT took a walk at seaside. TAT told her that the company was in financial crisis because of the incident of LEUNG and GLORIA. As the team were afraid of losing their jobs, KEI and YU tried to convince GLORIA’s father. JIM was pinpointed by CHOI in LAN’s family but he had rather stayed there, as he did not dare to see KAU. YEUK-SZE mentioned to JIM that there was an abandoned iron-plated house when they met in the store. JIM told YU that they could put those dogs there temporarily for adoption. CHUN blamed LAN for YU……

KEI found the “Love advertisement” left by LAN in the shredder. The team misunderstood and thought LEUNG wanted to re-union with YU. LEUNG denied. AARON took the chance to approach YU and was refused by her. KEI showed YU the whole piece of the advertisement, YU then realized CHUN’s love. CHUN found JIM bruised while meeting him at store. He then taught JIM and successfully reunion their family. Having hinted by KEI and LAN, YU found herself loving CHUN as well. CHUN wanted to confess his love to YU so invited her for lunch. He finally did not do anything after picking up a phone call. He even invited all his colleagues for lunch. YU felt weird and hinted CHUN. However, CHUN told her that they were just friends. YU asked CHUN whether he loves her or not. CHUN denied it and YU felt hurt. MO found CHUN was suffered from nasopharyngeal carcinoma. CHUN was speechless.

CHUN thought MO has read his report for recurrence of nasopharyngeal cancer but actually the report read by MO was written two years ago. GEORGE followed CHUN and found that his cancer was recurred and only has six-month life left. LEUNG and KEI both agreed to use “Guardian” as the concept of the new advertisement. It made YU thinking of CHUN. LEUNG found KEI appearing outside CHUN’s house for several times and afraid she would ruin the relationship of YU and CHUN. However, KEI admitted that she loves CHUN. CHUN’s sickness was getting serious day by day. He took medicine in GEORGE’s office secretly. Having back home, CHUN found MO and WAH watching KA KA’s tape stealthily. Both has learnt from CHUN’s past misery then braced up. WAH suddenly got the phone call from SHUI-FAI requesting for reunion. She was then so happy and claimed that she would travel with FAI all over the world……

MO found CHUN passed out. CHUN told him he was just too tired. As MO noted that CHUN has produced many neon lights advertisement, he suggested having a night trip to memorize. Having noted MO would like to promote a fish ball business in Japan, CHUN suggested him to buy the Mark Six Lottery. MO did not have enough money during shopping, JIM then paid for him. MO told him he would count that portion in their Mark Six pool. JIM noted that SZE has carried out a campaign of helping stray dogs for sterilization operation. He then decided to join the volunteer team. While KAU and his team were catching stray dogs at the brushwood, they found JIM and SZE there and thought they have secret relationship. Having clarified with JIM at home, he proposed him to remove the ligation. In order to convince LAN letting JIM to do the operation, KAU promised to handover the pet shop to LAN……

JIM and SZE found a pet owner abandoning the dog and tried to stop it. The pet owner said he was mistaken by LAN about how to raise dogs. JIM told YU that he wanted to raise a fund for the stray dogs. They then asked CHUN to help promote the campaign. YU told him that CHUN intended to give up SIU PA. JIM found they won the 2nd prize in the Mark Six Lottery while interrogating CHUN. He then requested allotting the prize to help implement the sterilization campaign for stray dogs. The worker found a cufflink in the iron-plated house. YU then noticed that CHUN was there. She asked CHUN why they could not be lovers even if they both cared each other. CHUN was speechless. On the other hand, KEI told CHUN about her love to him while bringing him to a church that she used to go in childhood. CHUN was stunned and refused her love. LAN thought JIM has another lover when she saw him going out with SZE……

LAN cried and told KAU that she wanted to divorce with JIM. JIM persuaded JIM to apologize. KEI’s beloved dog was found suffering from brain cancer after diagnosed by SZE. KEI was astounded and passed out. In order to help JIM and LAN reconciled with each other, MUI invited JIM to have breakfast with them together. As JIM was always a yes man, LAN pushed him not to carry on the stray dog campaign with SZE, JIM refused. LAN learnt from HIU-TUNG that JIM scored her with the dogs. She could not tolerate but to leave with anger. On the other hand, CHUN has taken YU’s advice participating in the volunteering job serving dogs. YU felt something wrong as CHUN suddenly passed out. JIM and LAN’s relationship was worsened by the stray dog campaign. LAN decided to take action first. She informed KAU for stray dogs staying in the iron-plated house……

JIM moved out from CHOW’s family and stayed in CHUN’s apartment temporarily. YU suddenly saw CHUN vomiting blood and noticed he was sick. However, CHUN denied as usual. LAN thought JIM quarreled for maintaining a husband’s dignity. Who knows that JIM would rather work in another pet shop. KEI has joined the pets’ Temporary Adoption Program. It made YU and CHUN understood pets could heal humans’ heart. They have decided to let CANCAN and SIU PA to be pet doctors to serve patients suffering from mental trauma. Even KAU has changed his viewpoint towards stray dogs. CHUN was touched by YU’s sincerity and they then became lovers. CHUN wanted to buy perfume with YU, meanwhile, YU noticed that CHUN has already lost his olfaction. While CHUN agreed to observe stars with YU, he suddenly vomited blood and admitted to hospital. CHUN asked LEUNG to take care of YU while LEUNG was visiting him……

In CHUN’s funeral, the relatives and friends voiced out their true feelings towards CHUN. YU was in lather during her speech and suddenly passed out. In fact, CHUN did not want every one to worry about him so he pretended to be death. There was only LEUNG knowing the truth. JIM scored for LAN in comparison with the dogs was leaked out by the volunteers and SZE. All of them thought that JIM was going too far. Having reminded by SZE, JIM apologized to LAN. When JIM went back home, MUI called him and told him LAN might be suffering from depression. JIM suggested using pet doctors to cure her and made SIU PA to stay with LAN. However, LAN thought her divorce was caused by SIU PA and wanted to abandon him in the street. Meanwhile, LAN met a big wolf dog and SIU PA triumphed over it. Eventually LAN told SIU PA about her anxiety. Having learnt LAN’s anxiety, JIM also told her about his grievance. The couple was then reconciled……
