World's Most Amazing Videos (1999)
World's Most Amazing Videos is a reality television series that showcases accidents, disasters, police chases and other extraordinary events that are caught on video camera. These videos normally shown anybody involved in these aforementioned incidents survive nonetheless. Although it is similar in content to the other series Real TV and Maximum Exposure, it takes a more serious tone. Originally, the show appeared on NBC as a timeslot filler program. A new series of episodes of the show were created in 2006 first-run for Spike TV, after a six-year hiatus from the NBC stint. Until the year 2008, all episodes of the show were narrated by Stacy Keach. From that point on, the season was narrated by Erik Thompson. The show is broadcast in the UK on Bravo and Channel One, in which David Wartnaby served as the narrator of the first season followed by Lee Boardman in the second season of broadcast in the particular country, and is expected to return in 2012. In Australia, it is shown on the pay-TV channel FOX8. The series was given its own local name titled Global Shockers for the Philippines market and it was hosted by Johnny Delgado.

A family are recording as a 117-A Stealth Fighter crashes into their neighbors' house. Hikers climb near a 1000 year old glacier and as tourists get close it suddenly breaks apart; they are washed against the rocks and swept away. On the 66th anniversary of Houdini's death escape artist Bill Shirk is buried alive in a plexiglass coffin under mud and concrete. A suicidal man packs his car full of explosives because his marriage failed, he threatens to blow himself and the town up. The entire 200-member choir and the bleachers crash down through the floor into the basement of a concert hall. Police surround the home of a wanted suspect under return fire. Balloons coming in for landings, one hits a building and another hits power lines, it is stuck on the wires when suddenly the fuel tanks explode. A very nervous bank-robber holds a knife to the neck of a woman. People do their best to survive inside a raging forest fire. Skydivers plan to do a mass jump, they taxi out with no problems, then seconds later an engine explodes and rocks the plane. Two girls broke through the ice on Saskatchewan river. Big Eli Ferris wheel, the bar breaks and a girl hangs upside down 47 feet above ground. A hardened criminal meets a bottle-hit across his head. A javelin thrower tosses his final pole and the referee can't see it from the blinding sun, it hits the old man.
