1x1 - Episode 1

With the son ROY as a go-between, SHEK then got a project working for CHEUNG, the rich man in town. Monitoring by ROY, SHEK and his apprentice ON rushed for the stone project. CHEUNG is a haughty guy and fussy about every tedious task carried out by SHEK’s company. SHEK grumbled with his friends in a restaurant but unfortunately those conversations were captured by paparazzi. On the other hand, ON’s cell phone was malfunctioned. When he was shopping around for a new cell phone, he chanced upon KA. He then bought a cell phone from KA’s shop by sympathy. After getting home, SUM told him that his “new” cell phone was an “old” model. While ROY was buying everyone a meal at the restaurant, SHEK found his conversation with FAN was being posted in the magazine. CHEUNG also happened to be in that restaurant at that time and he said he’d sue SHEK. ROY asked ON to apologize to CHEUNG, meanwhile, ON’s cell phone had a minor explosion.… ...

The urn of KA’s mother was found empty. KA was so annoyed and went to negotiate with her mother-in-law FAN in her father’s restaurant. As CHI wanted to explain to KA, ON and SHEK accompanied him to visit KA’s cell phone shop. KA was told about the closure of the gravestone factory where her mother’s cremains were stored. Having found out that the factory owner was moved to mainland, KA decided to chase for her mother’s cremains. On the other hand, the funeral manager NO visited SHEK and every body in SHEK’s stone factory thought that NO admired SHEK. Having eaten the food prepared by NO, SHEK suddenly felt sick. SHEK’s wife CHING has met NO, every body then realized NO was the spy helping CHING. SHEK wanted to bring NO and ON together…… During CHEUNG’s inspection tour in the office, ROY was caught for stock trading. ROY’s colleague KUEN revealed it during the birthday party of LING, ON’s mother.… ...

It was approaching the 35th anniversary of SHEK and CHING. Though they hinted to SHEK from time to time, SHEK pretended not being aware of it. In fact, SHEK already had preparation. ON felt weird about GLORIA’s fiancé having an intimate relationship with another man… KA helped SHAN to find business in gay bar and suddenly discovered ON was there. SHAN told YEE that ON was a gay man when YEE was having manicure in SHAN’s nail shop. ON’s family was tense and interrogated ON. ON told them that he just wanted to confirm the sexual orientation of GLORIA’s fiancé. SUM’s threesome relationship was being revealed. Her two lawyer boyfriends fought on the street. Afterwards, SUM has been sacked. SHEK gave his wife a present on their anniversary day and his wife was so delighted. On the other hand, KA was drunk and fell down on the couch. WING was lust for her and KA hit him so hard when she woke up.… ...

SHEK asked KA helping him to purchase a cell phone. In fact, he wanted to help her. In order to take care of KA, SHEK referred KA to rent a flat in the old building where he lived. CHI secretly subsidized the rent. KA and SHAN then moved to the empty flat. In order to please his girlfriend, MAN sent KA with various gifts. However, CHING and LING spitted curses at MAN in the building. YEE chanced upon MAN and the gang and she was sexually harassed by them. Luckily SUM appeared and the gang was receded. SHEK showed KA the clips recorded with the bad things done by MAN, thus, KA expelled MAN as well as the gang. SHEK and ON introduced KA with the fun of jogging. On the other hand, by ON’s goad, SUM has decided to work in a cosmetic company. Meanwhile, KA and MAN quarreled again. MAN believed ON was the one triggered KA’s left when he found out they went jogging together. MAN then poisoned ON.

MAN interfused the ecstasy into ON’s bottle. Having drunk the water, ON was dazed falling down from the slope and got injured. KA has initiated parting from MAN. MAN then threatened KA for a “parting fee” at HK,000. During their negotiation in CHI’s restaurant, UNCLE WAH suddenly passed out and died during his visit to his wife – the cleaning lady MRS. WAH… On the other hand, in order to get more secret information of the stock market, TO has fawned on CHEUNG but eventually he’s been teased by him. HING got familiar with SHAN and bought HK coupon from her nail shop. Having known it, WING proposed to get the money back for his younger brother HING. In fact, he just wanted to get along with SHAN. On the day of UNCLE WAH’s funeral, NO couldn’t locate MRS. WAH. Luckily she was just overslept because of sick. NO told ON that she didn’t have the feeling with him as she has admired another person.… ...

CHING went shopping with SHEK and NO. During the tea time, NO spoke out some punning prattle which has frightened SHEK a lot. Having known that SHAN’s new boyfriend was WING, KA has then quarreled with SHAN. On the other hand, TO found ROY has earned HK million from the fake secret news. ROY has spent extravagantly as always. He spent HK,000 to rent a luxurious apartment in Tai Po and invited his parents to stay with him. As SHEK didn’t like his son speculating, he insisted to live in the Western District alone. ROY confessed his love to SUM and they then became lovers. KA shopped with ON intimately to buy underwear for SHEK. MAN was enraged. FAN intruded into KA’s apartment claiming that SHAN has seduced her son. FAN and SHAN then had a quarrel. In order to revenge, MAN reported to the police of looted phones storing in KA’s shop.… ...

KA has brought ON to the place that she usually goes when she felt boredom and told him that she liked the sound of the wind chimes from one of the flat over there. It was unexpected that MAN having the audacity to pour strong acid onto KA. Luckily he was under arrested by the police inspectors. However, some of the strong acid had been poured onto SHEK’s leg. CHING and LING thought KA should be liable to this incident and wanted to get her out. KA has agreed without a second thought. On the other hand, WING initiated parting with SHAN and told her that his mother didn’t agree with their love and has stopped investing on the garage. SHAN broke the glass of WING’s favorite car, thus, WING has hit her badly… ON found out KA’s favourite wind chimes were disappeared but eventually he could be able to find it and has given it to KA. LING has reminded ON when she found out ON’s adoring to KA.… ...

SHEK suddenly passed out at work. He wanted to contact CHING but couldn’t reach her while she was playing mahjong. ON sent him to the hospital for a medical check and found out he was suffering from high blood pressure. SHEK, CHING and NO went visiting MRS. WAH who has already retired. This trip made them memorizing the sweet times in childhood. On the other hand, SHAN knew that HING was admiring her and wanted to tease him to revenge the insult by WING. YEE has heard that by chance and she then told HING right away. HING didn’t mind and it has impressed YEE. KA has worried about the rent arrears of the cell phone shop, meanwhile, she discovered of the bulk storage of prohibited drugs at home. SHAN confessed that this is the price of getting people to hit WING after KA’s interrogation. She almost could convince KA to join in order to earn more money for rent but luckily, ON has finally stopped them.… ...

KA couldn’t forget SHAN after her death, in order to help KA releasing her sorrow, ON has taught her to carve the characters on SHAN’s gravestone. On the other hand, in order to help HING to forget SHAN, YEE proposed to travel with him. They eventually had sexual relationship during their travel. Having found out her son was in debt for losing a lot from the stock market; CHING gave ROY her personal savings. KA wanted to start a new life, thus, ROY referred her to work in his company as an office assistant. SHEK wanted to retire and mentioned that he wanted to nominate ON as the CEO but in fact he didn’t want to give up the stone factory. In order to earn the HK,000 commission, ROY has persuaded SHEK to sell the stone factory at HK.2 million offered by UNCLE WONG. SHEK finally rejected to sell out the stone factory to any other person except ON. He then proposed ON to pay HK million as deposit.… ...

KEI found KA was aggressive and invited her to join the makeup class. KA asked for ON’s comment on enhancing her English level and ON suggested her to take some course. SHEK eventually sold Kam Shek Kei to ON and he acted as a consultant. HING has avoided seeing YEE but after figuring himself out, he apologized to YEE and they started dating then. SHEK found that ROY has lost a lot from the stock market and asked CHING to arrange meeting with ROY for reconciliation. On the other hand, the family found out YEE and HING are lovers. ON’s caring has impressed KA but KA has unexpectedly requested ON to be her brother. SUM and ROY has chanced upon CHEUNG and wanted to give him a good impression by flattening him. YEE got pregnant and felt nervous. When she told HING about it, HING didn’t seem to concern much about her. YEE thought HING was an irresponsible guy.… ...

SHING’s family wanted to propose their marriage to CHI’s family, however, FAN refused immediately. HING was upset with what his mother has done so he stayed in SHING’s family temporarily. In order to show off in front of CHEUNG, SUM has used the cosmetics samples from the company by stealth. Wong’s Village has appointed Kam Shek Kee for an arch to be built in the village. SHEK got sunstroke while he was assisting ON for the discussion with the villagers. ROY was discontented when he saw his father helping ON that much. He then roped in Kam Shek Kee’s employees to join another company in order to ruin the factory. On the other hand, CHEUNG invited SUM dining in a high class restaurant. He gave her a luxurious watch and hinted his interest about her. SUM refused. Having found that SUM and ROY were lovers, CHEUNG negotiated with ROY and told them he would be promoted to manager if he gave up SUM.… ...

The wedding of HING and YEE was going smoothly. CHI took the chance to take photos with KA and the relationship was then reconciled. SUM has finally pleased CHEUNG. ROY and SUM were both promoted to manager. Having promoted, SUM made things difficult for KEI. SHEK and CHING learned from the magazine that SUM has accompanied with CHEUNG for party. They found out ROY and SUM were separated after interrogating ROY. CHING was discontented about it. ON and his family also interrogated SUM for such matter. LING felt bad after finding the jewelry from CHEUNG in SUM’s bedroom. Having found out ROY borrowing money to speculate in the stock market, SHEK smacked him and ROY left at once. SHEK was so indignant with what ROY has done and even needed to be sent to hospital for a bridging operation in his heart. SUM found that CHEUNG viewing her as a “lucky star” for him.… ...

LING was quarrelling with SUM while ON just came back home. In fact, SUM would like to move to CHEUNG’s apartment and her family just wanted to remind her to be careful. However, SUM recriminated right away. SUM gave KEI a bad scold even though KEI has finished the report. KEI was sacked by SUM eventually. HING was suffered from reading and writing handicap and it’s uneasy for him to find a job which he finally did. However, his two elder brothers ruined everything and made him resigned. SHEK’s surgery date coincided with ON’s marathon contest. During the contest, KA found that ON was familiar with STEPHY. When ON has become the 2nd winner-up and STEPHY has become the champion in the girls’ team, the reporters asked whether they’re lovers. KA was jealous and left at once. Having chased KA, ON confessed his love to her. The surgery of SHEK was so successful.… ...

After the celebration, SUM found CHEUNG was angry sitting on the couch. CHEUNG bellowed at SUM warning her to give up her family if she wanted to enjoy the wealthy life. NO told SHEK that she still loved him and it was heard by CHING. CHING then left home evading her husband. LING have applied a job as the cleaning lady at SUM’s office. SUM pretended not knowing her in the office. Having seen SUM injured by a little accident, LING was extremely tensed and wanted to help. Their relationship was then been revealed and SUM then scolded her mother. Having checked by a gynecologist, KA was told that her previous abortion has affected her further child-bearing opportunity. On the other hand, KEI drunk a lot for her own failure in business. WING met the drunken KEI in a pub and brought her to a pathless area and wanted to rape her. Luckily CHI was there and stopped WING.… ...

SHEK chanced upon NO when visiting everyone. NO apologized and SHEK told her they’re just friends. CHEUNG found SUM domineering in the office and didn’t allow her to come back to the office anymore. On the other hand, the police found a witness and brought a charge against WING. KA learnt from the medical check that she might not be able to carry a baby. On tried to comfort her and even told his mother that they didn’t plan for having a baby temporarily. However, KUEN told LING the truth. LING told KA that she wouldn’t allow them to get married. KA then proposed parting with ON. CHEUNG has another girlfriend traveling with him. Meanwhile, SUM was listless and chanced upon ROY. They then made love secretly. LING told SHEK the truth about ruining the relationship of ON and KA. SHEK asked her to bear in mind the interest of ON’s future. Meanwhile, KA was encouraged by KEI.… ...

SHEK gave the ON and KA’s wedding photo to CHI as KA didn’t allow him to be present on the wedding. However, FAN got the news of KA’s wedding and suddenly appeared with her children. In fact WING was beaten badly by somebody in prison and FAN wanted to revenge. She has torn the signed wedding certificate and scolded KA hysterically. CHI scratched her immediately. In fact, he was witnessing KA’s wedding outside without telling KA. After the wedding the group accompanied CHI back home. FAN spitted curses at him and KA wanted to help CHI scolding back. However, she was told that her mother had addicted to gambling and was in huge debt and even hacked FAN. FAN didn’t want to live with CHI so KA invited him to stay with her. In order to get SHEK and CHING reconciled, ON and KA asked help from NO. On the other hand, SUM and ROY’s secret relationship was revealed by CHEUNG.… ...

KA notified everyone on the news of her pregnancy and it doubled joyful news in SHING’s family. Having found HING’s deep interest in carving, ON invited HING to work in the stone factory. On the other hand, SUM found that she’s pregnant as well. While ROY proposed marriage to her, she refused. Having learned that, CHEUNG was so happy but he still planned for his revenge. CHEUNG gave some fake news to ROY and made him lost a lot from the stock market. ROY was in huge debt amounted at HK million. Afterwards, CHEUNG fired him. CHING sold out the house without noticing SHEK when ROY asked for her help. ROY then apologized to SHEK. In order to help ROY relieving his debt burden, SHEK told the others that he’d move to Kam Tin with CHING for retirement. Somebody gave ROY a hard hit while ON was visiting SHEK. In fact, ROY has borrowed from the high interest loaner approximately at a 6-digit amount.… ...

CHI and HING saw KUEN maltreating FAN on the street and felt sorry about it. CHI then accompanied HING’s couple visiting FAN and saluted her with a cup of tea. While CHEUNG was out of town, SUM had a DNA test for her embryo and found out it’s the son of ROY. SUM then told ROY of her abortion plan. Even though ROY has sent ON to stop her, she insisted doing so. By seeing the sister killing her own baby in this way, ON felt hurt. SUM told CHENG about the abortion and CHEUNG hit her badly. ON met the drunken SUM. By drunk-driving, she had a car accident and bumped against KA. After the check-up, KA was slightly hurt but the embryo was dead…… ON was painfully sad and couldn’t help himself getting out from sorrow, nevertheless, he could just pretend strong. SUM chanced upon CHEUNG and his new girlfriend. CHEUNG scoffed at her. Luckily YEE appeared helping SUM but still couldn’t persuade her home.

SUM didn’t want to go home and she just relied on alcohol and pills for sleeping. She has drunk a lot at the beach alone with dottiness. She called ON for help during flux. Unfortunately she could just apologize to ON when he arrived. Shortly afterwards, she died. ON told SHEK that he was tired being a good guy. While comforting ON, SHEK found ROY going to an abandoned house furtively. In fact ROY has kidnapped CHEUNG and wanted to kill him. SHEK and ON tried to stop him but ROY was completely insane and even hit ON with a stone…… In order to encourage ON, KA enrolled the marathon contest together with ON. Having finished half of the route, ON stopped abruptly. KA persuaded ON to go on but didn’t work. KA believed that her husband would catch up with her soon so she continued the run. ON sit on the roadside in a trance, suddenly a miracle has happened……
