Bruce Parry continues his Amazon adventure, travelling through the jungles of Peru to visit the Achuar people, a remote tribe who are fighting to keep oil companies off their land. The former Royal Marine revisits old friends when he meets the Matis tribe, but the reception is lukewarm due to their wariness of outsiders they hold responsible for the diseases that killed many of them. Bruce also meets the loggers who are blamed for cutting down swathes of the forest. Farther along the river, the Marubo tribe prove more lively with dancing and rituals through the night.
