KAN slaps TIM. He agrees what LAI proposed. TIM decides to close his company and starts again. BILL thinks that LAI would hate him after TIM`s case. LAI expresses that he assesses staff according to personal capability. BILL is very embarrassed. WAI intends to set up her own public relation firm. She asks HANG to sponsor her. HANG agrees. TIM is very confused. He eventually decides to develop his business in the real estate and property field. He works as a real estate agent at the beginning. The customers tease TIM who is a layman in this field. When BILL heard the case, he suggests TIM to develop a solid foundation first and he introduces TIM to work at a construction site. The foreman, TING, rejects TIM on the first day he reported duty. TIM makes use of YAN`s good soup to win their favor and joins TING`s group.

TIM makes a lot of excuses to refuse seeing YAN in Macau. He frankly tells YAN that he does not want to make her disappointed. He proposed to break up with her. YIN comforts YAN and points out that TIM respects her and hence he does not want to cheat her. YAN fills with hope. BILL wants to reunite with WAI. However, WAI feels that BILL still does not trust her and refuses BILL. TIM is responsible to get back the old apartment for LEUNG. Later, TIM finds out from BILL that YEUNG YAT is suffering from mental disorder. TIM makes use of this information to threaten him. YAT is so irritated that he committed suicide from jumping down from a building. BILL blames TIM who does not consider the consequence. BILL decides to leave TIM and works for the government, City Planning Department. YIN brings TIM to visit her secondarry schoolmate, ALEX at the hospital, and comforts him with a passionate story.

1x13 - Episode 13

October 27, 1999

LEUNG enlightens TIM. TIM eventually feels at ease with BILL`s case. YAN again expresses that she does not care to be his second priority. TIM refuses YAN resolutely. YAN is heart-broken. YEE is very upset as LEUNG again has had an affair with other woman. TIM comforts YEE. LEUNG again shouts at TIM. CHUN, NGAI and HANG witness the scene. CHUN takes the chance to tease TIM. TIM decides to send MAN to U.K. studying interior design while ignoring MAN`s objection. MAN hates TIM. YEE meets PING and YIN in the bank. She feels very guilty and tries to keep away from them. PING feels sorry for her. PING puts her beloved red-diamond necklace `The Ocean Heart` in auction. LEUNG got it with a high offer. YEE is very upset.

KI asks YIN to take over a case regarding a complaint to the hospital of mistreating a patient. YIN hesitates. TIM encourages YIN to take over the case. PING and LEUNG celebrate for YIN during her birthday. YEE calls LEUNG. LEUNG talks with YEE perfunctorily. YEE was discovered dead after the dinner. She committed suicide by jumping down from a high rise building. LEUNG is grieved with pain. PING recommends herself to help TIM to manage YEE`s funeral. TIM then understands more regarding PING, LEUNG and YEE`s triangle relationship. PING finds LEUNG who is very depressed. She encourages him to start anew. YIN believes that she is also responsible for YEE`s death. She thus makes mistakes at work. Her superior and client blame her. YIN becomes very weak and scared. TIM encourages YIN and helps her to regain confidence.

1x16 - Episode 16

November 1, 1999

BILL asks his brother, KWAN, to get back his money which has been invested in funds. However, it is in vain. BILL then asks KWAN to lend him money as loan. FONG hurts her elbow. YAN accompanies her to see the doctor. She also buys some daily necessities for FONG. BILL feels grateful for YAN`s help. TIM entices KWAN to buy a luxurious apartment. BILL then could not get his two hundred thousand loan from KWAN. BILL then sells his dreamhouse YAN loses her pins. BILL searches for it the whole night. BILL takes the chance to express his love to YAN. YAN refuses him.

1x17 - Episode 17

November 2, 1999

FONG is kidnapped soon after she reached the Taiwan airport. BILL is so eager to save FONG that he urges the buyer to pay more deposit. The buyer cancels the deal instead. TIM takes the chance to offer BILL the money again. BILL is very confused. TIM finds out that BILL has not yet banked in the cheque. TIM is disappointed but also feels glad for BILL. WAI finds out that BILL is in trouble. She gives BILL a cheque. BILL hurries to the airport. On the way he encounters a robbery. He stabs the robber in confusion. BILL reaches Taiwan airport and is brought to see the triad leader, Old DA. BILL hands over the money to FONG and finds out that LI`s debt is a lot more than he expected. FONG insists to go to Tainan to find LI. BILL comes back to Hong Kong. BILL feels very uneased when he finds out that the robber has died. He always has bad dreams. Somebody crashes BILL`s car. This stranger even accuses BILL. BILL hits this guy in a bad mood.

1x18 - Episode 18

November 3, 1999

WAI and BILL quarrel. WAI suppresses her emotion and continues to work. HANG again expresses his love to WAI after the ball. HANG and WAI are seized with an impulse and have had an affair. YIN claims that BILL is charged of causing other bodily injury. TIM buys over the victim secretly. In a marathon contest, BILL is running and thinking. He eventually realizes that he is too stuck to his own principle in the past and his principle has given him tremendous pressure. BILL gives up in the contest. The victim amends his testimony. TIM worries that BILL will not cooperate. Unexpectedly, BILL does not say a word. YAN loses LEUNG`s diamond bracelet. BILL accompanies her to search for it everywhere. BILL suggests YAN to make a counterfeit one first. YAN is shocked to BILL`s change.

November 4, 1999

HANG has become positive at work. LAI is glad. WAI knows that HANG is very serious. She thus points out to HANG that one night stand is very common. HANG is shocked. KEUNG provides a loan to TANG YUNG`s mistress for helping TIM. KEUNG was sacked by the bank because of helping TIM. TIM feels very sorry. LEUNG again pushes TIM to bribe BILL. TIM is very reluctant to discuss with BILL regarding this. KWAN is willing to mediate. TIM is shocked to see that BILL and LEUNG chat happily together and BILL also accepts LEUNG`s offer and bribe. Later, TIM finds out that BILL still owes Old DA money. TIM reminds BILL that it is a one-way traffic and he cannot turn back. YAN is shocked to see BILL renovated his dreamhouse to what she wanted. She is touched.

November 5, 1999

BILL repays all debt. He gives FONG some money to start some small businesses. TIM feels very guilty as KEUNG was sacked because of helping him. He invites KEUNG to work in his firm as accountant. KEUNG agrees. BILL does not know how to win LEUNG`s favour. LEUNG is very dissatisfied with BILL. TIM helps BILL to get rid of the embarrassed situation. TIM advises BILL that handling interpersonal relationship in a smooth way is an asset to secure more information. BILL again expresses his love to YAN. YAN is touched. In order to see WAI more, HANG works in WAI`s public relation firm everyday. WAI appreciates BILL`s change and indicates that they could reunite. BILL shows no response at all. WAI is very disappointed. KEUNG is glad to see that BILL and YAN are dating. However, when YAN sees TIM, she keeps away from BILL. BILL suspects that YAN still misses TIM.

1x21 - Episode 21

November 8, 1999

HANG knows that WAI still misses BILL. WAI even claims that she cares little about her one-night stand with HANG. HANG suffers a great blow. Later, HANG meets BILL in a club. He sees that BILL is flattering LEUNG. HANG cannot control himself and laughs at BILL. BILL beats HANG up angrily. CHUN sends people to beat BILL for revenge. BILL is being sent to the hospital. YAN hurries to the hospital. TIM sees them embracing together. He feels sour at heart. WAI thinks that it was HANG`s idea to beat up BILL. She blames HANG and resigns. HANG returns home. LAI blames him too. HANG is mad. HANG then works positively in the P.R. firm. WAI treats him coldly at the beginning. HANG works very hard and serious. He even invites a famous interior designer, KO TIN WAH, to design for their new project. HANG's sincerity even makes WAH cooperate with them subsequently. WAI changes her attitude towards HANG.

1x22 - Episode 22

November 9, 1999

BILL and TIM are interested in the property located on top of the airport express railway Kowloon station. They intend to use the company name `Li Tin` to bid the project. MAN loses her passport. TIM blames her. KEUNG discovers that MAN has hidden her passport. MAN frankly tells KEUNG that she does not want to go aboard alone. KEUNG takes very good care of her. MAN blossoms love feelings on KEUNG. LEUNG warns TIM and BILL not to submit tender on the airport express railway property. They have no alternative but to tolerate. MAN is indecently assaulted by a satyr. KEUNG beats this satyr crazily. MAN kisses KEUNG sweetly. KEUNG is shocked. TIM persuades BILL not to serve two parties, otherwise, he would anger LEUNG. BILL does not take his word seriously. The next day, BILL is forced to resign and LEUNG also kicks him out. BILL thinks that TIM has betrayed him.

November 10, 1999

MAN frankly tells TIM that she does not want to go aboard. She even claims that she wants to date KEUNG. TIM slaps MAN and then goes to see KEUNG. TIM receives a call from CHAT and finds out that MAN has been raped by a satyr. MAN is so irritated that she intends to jump down from a high rise building. TIM kneels down to beg MAN. BILL tells YAN he is sacked and how he was betrayed by the others. YAN encourages him to start anew. BILL got the news that the main contractor has been changed to `Tokyo` instead of `Ki On` for the Kowloon infrastructure project. BILL intends to buy more `Tokyo` share before its share price gone up. TIM agrees. TIM goes to see KEUNG. He conceals MAN`s case from KEUNG.

1x24 - Episode 24

November 11, 1999

YAN finds out that her heart is so weak that she might not be able to carry baby after a body check. She is very upset. BILL expresses that he does not care whether she can carry baby or not, he just wants her to be with him. BILL takes the chance to propose to YAN. YAN is touched. YAN returns the electronic game to TIM. TIM is so depressed that he dates YIN. TIM and YIN have had a romantic night. After the affair, YIN discovers the electronic game. She suspects that she is just YAN`s replacement. YIN sees BARRY who is very kind-hearted to let a pregnant woman to get on a taxi first, thus she gives him a ride. She then finds out that he is a prosecutor. HANG makes use of the colleagues to make WAI stay. TIM fears that YIN is serious. He then claims that the romantic night was only a mistake. YIN is very upset.

1x25 - Episode 25

November 12, 1999

LEUNG asks KWAN to buy `Ki On` so as to test whether BILL is reliable. On BILL`s wedding, BILL`s ex-colleague, PATRICK, threatens BILL to give him one million. Otherwise, he will tell LEUNG their secret. TIM agrees to give him his required amount. Later, PATRICK does not show up. TIM finds out that he was already killed by the loan-shark. Consequently, `Tokyo` is the main contractor for the Kowloon Infrastructure Project. Its share price has gone up crazily. LEUNG is mad. TIM and BILL are glad. TIM, BILL and KEUNG get ten million each. They all buy their own luxurious apartment. BILL decides to change YAN to a rich `tai-tai`. LEUNG insults TIM by sending him an extra large sculpture to his new home. TIM is angry at heart. TIM and BILL decide to make their firm go public and then resell it to make fast money. TIM goes back home and feels very lonely. He then dates YIN again.

CHEONG finds a not yet-developed film from a victim reporter in the Kam Fat Building fire. CHEONG takes it to develop and discovers the scene of how BILL killed CHU. CHEONG decides to get at the truth. BILL receives an anonymous call which claimed that they know he had committed a murder. This anonym arranges to meet BILL in Ting Kao. CHEONG follows BILL. He then calls KEUNG. Unexpectedly, BILL kills CHEONG. BILL knows that KEUNG is coming to see CHEONG from CHEONG`s pager. BILL then goes to a pub to see KEUNG. He follows KEUNG. KEUNG arrives at CHEONG`s home and sees the photo showing the scene of how BILL killed CHU. KEUNG is very angry. He rings TIM. Meanwhile, BILL bursts in and beats up KEUNG. KEUNG flees away with the film. BILL tries to knock down KEUNG. The film was burnt. TIM arrives and rescues KEUNG. KEUNG accuses BILL who has attempted murder and arson. BILL denies and claims that TIM and KEUNG are slandering against him.… ...

KEUNG insists to check CHEONG`s belongings at CHEONG's publishing employer. The firm refuses him. TIM sends KEUNG to the hospital. YIN finds CHEONG`s dead body. TIM goes to see BILL angrily. TIM carelessly pushes BILL to the road and a car knocks BILL down and hurts his leg. There are many reporters at the spot. TIM is charged with causing bodily injury to BILL. YIN knows that BARRY is the prosecutor. She hopes BARRY will help TIM. BARRY blames YIN who has offended her profession. TIM resigns lest he will affect `Li Tin`. TIM is filled with emotions when he saw KEUNG. With BARRY`s tactful guidance, TIM is only sentenced to six-months` imprisonment. YIN feels grateful for BARRY`s help.

BILL`s leg needs a supportive tool. BILL claims that he will adapt to it as soon as he could. BILL is very dissatisfied with CHUN who cannot complete the tasks of buying up Pak Lee Tak. BILL involves himself in the case and soon completes the buying up. CHUN heard that the Taiwan government is launching an anti-corruption campaign. He has had bribed an officials but LAI does not know about it. BILL asks CHUN to tempt LAI to Taiwan. YIN sees JANET, BARRY`s lover, is with another man. YIN asks BARRY what has gone wrong. BARRY frankly tells YIN that he deliberately makes use of JANET to make TIM and YIN reunite. BILL pretends that he fails in speculating in the stock market. He asks WAI to ask HANG to sell him 1% `Ming Tai` share. WAI asks HANG. HANG agrees. CHUN tempts LAI to Taiwan. LAI is arrested soon after he arrived at the Taiwan airport. LAI is suspected of bribing an official, LUK WAN SUN. CHUN heard that LAI is being arrested.… ...

CHUN slaps LING. LING leaves home angrily. BILL kicks CHUN out of 'MING FOR'. CHUN is also in great debt. WAI feels ashamed of herself since she is cheated by BILL in turn. She leaves the office soon after HANG arrived. HANG chases after WAI and expresses his love. WAI is touched and the two embrace. TIM is released from prison. KEUNG does not show up. TIM goes to Choi Kee Noodle Shop to see KEUNG. KEUNG and TIM reconcile. HANG asks TIM to return to `Li Tin`. TIM agrees. LAI is sick when he heard that CHUN seized `Ming For`. PING succeeds to bail LAI out for treatment. TIM, HANG and YIN go to Taiwan. TIN meets BARRY and finds out that BARRY and YIN has divorced. He also learns that YIN still loves him. LAI expresses that he will pass `Ming Tai` to HANG. He asks TIM to help HANG.TIN brings YIN to a coffee shop. TIM tells YIN that he has known that she has divorced. TIM indicates to start again with YIN. YIN is touched.

1x43 - Episode 43

December 8, 1999

BILL attacks `Ming Tai' stock. HANG and TIM immediately return to Hong Kong. TIM suggests to make use of `Ming Tai`s` subsidiary, `Ming Kai`, to issue shares so as to procure enough capital to attack `Ming For`. Consequently, BILL really abandons `Ming Tai` so as to save `Ming For`. TIM meets YIN. YIN finds that TIM only talked about work. YIN asks TIM not to pressure himself to be with her. TIM explains that he needs time. LAI announces to return `Li Tin` to TIM. TIM is glad. TIM invites KEUNG back to `Li Tin`. KEUNG refuses. TIM and PING find LUK WAN SUN with the triad leader, YUEN`s, help. BILL is under ICAC`s investigation and cannot borrow loan. BILL is mad. HAN brings with him a knife to attack TIM. The cop shoots him. Soon HAN died. BILL swears to take revenge. BILL is in financial difficulty as ICAC is freezing his account. Thus he could not cooperate with the Taiwan official, CHAN FUNG SAU, to bid for the `New Town Project`.… ...

NGAI deliberately discloses that HANG will go boating very soon and how PING and TIM made use of the triad to find SUN. BILL decides to kidnap HANG. WAI goes boating with HANG. PING waits at the hotel. HANG and WAI are being kidnapped to the Philippines. PING succeeds to close a deal with SUN. Unexpectedly, SUN was killed soon after he received money from PING. PING is very disappointed. When LAI knew about HANG`s case, he is very upset. Fortunately, SUN`s lover brings them some evidence and LAI is sentenced not guilty. LAI has paid the ransom but still cannot see HANG. He worries a lot. BILL convinces KWAN to be the scapegoat for him. KWAN agrees. BILL sends a killer to kill TIM but the killer hurts CHAT instead. TIM is very angry. He drives to see BILL in a towering anger. Unexpectedly, he accidentally falls into the sea with his car. His life is at stake.

1x45 - Episode 45

December 10, 1999

TIM decides to make BILL reform himself after the car accident. He convinces YAN to cooperate with him. YAN is very upset to learn that BILL has had done a lot bad deeds. She is so irritated that she gives birth to baby earlier than scheduled. YAN wants TIM to conceal the truth regarding the baby form BILL. BILL comforts YAN in Hong Kong and arranges her to stay in Taiwan. LI joins in the illegal car-racing. BILL bets on him. LI then wins in the race ignoring his leader, PAK`s warning. PAK beats LI up. There is no news from HANG since he has been kidnapped. LAI is reluctant to inform the case to the police for HANG`s safety. NGAI is so scared that he urges BILL to kill HANG as soon as possible. BILL wants to further strengthen himself and invites LI to work for him. LI knows himself well and refuses BILL politely. LI`s girlfriend, LING, was kidnapped by a triad leader, TSU. TSU even attempts to rape LING.

1x46 - Episode 46

December 13, 1999

LI asks PAK for help. PAK promises to settle the case for him. BILL knew that LI is in need of two hundred thousand dollars. FONG fears that LI will involve BILL into trouble, she tells the triad that LI is not HAN`s son. BILL and LI go to the site to negotiate. Till then could LI realize that PAK has betrayed him. BILL got the ransom by TT remittance. He decided to buy the land at the Kam Shan Port. The rebellious kidnapper intends to kill HANG. Suddenly the government troops arrive. HANG and WAI flee away during the chaos. BILL brings YAN to the Kam Shan Port. He depicts the `Free of Pollution City` drawing to YAN. TIM arrives and expresses that he will compete with him for this piece of land. YIN arrives at Taiwan. She expresses her love to TIM. TIM refuses her. The next day, YIN sees that YAN and TIM are shaking hands. She feels sour at heart and immediately leaves Taiwan to Hong Kong.… ...

A Taiwan merchant has bought a boat. TIM suspects that it is HANG`s boat. TIM informs LAI. NGAI is very scared. YAN comes back to Hong Kong secretly to visit her child. TIM comforts YAN and encourages her to continue their plan. PING withdraws all investments from the Philippines so as to threaten the Philippines government to investigate HANG`s case. KI expresses that TIM decides to reallocate `Li Tin` shareholding allocation. YIN knows that there is something wrong. KEUNG discovers that BILL has had donated money in CHU and CHOI`s name. He decides to forgive BILL and goes to Taiwan to see him. YAN takes her child with her to Taiwan. BILL nearly discovers her trace. A senior official, CHAN, was dismissed. BILL`s land becomes useless. BILL is shocked. The Philippines government eventually finds out that the boat is HANG`s boat. NGAI decides to kill BILL. The triad forces BILL to repay the debt.… ...

December 15, 1999

TIM is holding a cocktail party in a hotel. BILL arrives and quarrels with TIM. LING passes by the hotel. She sees TIM and fills with emotions. FONG`s home is disturbed by some triad. FONG thinks that it must be related to LI. She scolds LI lest he will involve BILL into trouble. BILL is attacked by NGAI`s people. LI risks his life to protect BILL. BILL thinks that it was TIM who wants to kill him. KEUNG knows that BILL is sending a killer to kill TIM. He tries to persuade TIM to stop. BILL claims that it was too late. BILL is injured. KEUNG treats his wound. YAN arranges to meet BILL in Woo Loi. She tries to convince BILL to give up everything and starts again. BILL chooses career over her. YAN is heart-broken and leaves. Meanwhile, TIM`s life is at stake as the killer is approaching. However, TIM insists to wait for YAN`s good news.

1x49 - Episode 49

December 16, 1999

BILL thinks thrice. He eventually rings TIM and tells him that he chooses YAN instead of confronting against him. TIM is glad. YAN is glad to hear that. She brings her child home to wait for BILL. Unexpectedly, she receives the news that BILL is dead. The cops suspect YAN and detain her. KEUNG questions TIM. TIM denies. When NGAI learnt that YAN has become the suspect, he orders the killer to destroy all evidence that benefits YAN. All witnesses are against YAN. Moreover, YING even claims that YAN and TIM are in league. YAN is in a very disadvantageous position. YAN holds up for her child`s sake. YAN recalls that the taxi driver could be her witness. TIM tries his best to find the driver.

KEUNG blamed TIM for saving YAN out of the prison, which had caused her death. YIN decided to keep BILL's autopsy report a secret. They all felt very sad while taking YAN's baby back to Hong Kong. NICK wanted to come to Hong Kong from Philippines via illegal means so as to avenge on TIM, but the snakehead cheated him and wanted more money. NICK was furious. A fortune teller pointed out to LAI that he would only have two sons upon his death so LAI accepted the fact that HANG must have died already. TIM found out that YIN previously had a new alternative to save YAN. After interrogating YIN, TIM found out the real cause of BILL's death. As the killer, LEON had asked TIM for million Taiwan dollars in order to tell the truth, TIM embezzled the money from the company, MING TAI to give to LEON. TIM brought the baby to the clinic and later met with LEON.… ...
