Insp Han and SSgt Razali are in a race against time when Richard Chung, a wealthy businessman is kidnapped from his home by two men and a woman, Agnes, who drives the kidnap vehicle. Jacob and Sabrina must defend Agnes on the charge of kidnapping, a capital offence which carries the death penalty.

When a man dies during a supposed exorcism, Adam – the medium conducting the ritual – is brought in for questioning. There are shocks in store when it is revealed that Adam had an affair with the victim’s wife. But the biggest shock is reserved for Jacob, who has to defend him.

His wife lies dead from a bullet to the neck, and there are only two people who can tell SSgt Razali what happened – Insp Low, who has gone missing, and Insp Han, who was discovered at the scene and now lies in hospital, critically injured.

A ghost from Insp Han’s past returns to haunt him: Chin, a man he put away fifteen years prior for the murder of his wife, is released from prison.
