YAT-SHING discovers that HO-YAN and YUEN KIU are holding hands. YUEN KIU has no choice but to reveal the truth to him. YAT-SHING is enraged. HO-YAN reveals that YUEN KIU had suffered a lot in the past 10 years. She tried hard to search for YAT-SHING and she was in great debt but she didn't complain at all. After learning about the truth, YAT-SHING concludes that it is his misfortune and he cannot blame others. SHING-CHIT and CHAK-SAI want to speak for YAT-SHING and they burst into HO-YAN's detective agency but they only see TSUI-YEE there. YAT-SHING goes to pick up CHI-CHUNG at school but the teacher says that his parent has picked him up already. YAT-SHING becomes emotional and he recalls the scene in the cave. YIP TSAU has been following YAT-SHING and she tries to console him. YAT-SHING learns that YUEN KIU has thrown their wedding ring to the beach and he goes to search for it. In 2006, WAI YAT-SHING and HONG SHING-CHIT were the leaders of a management consulting company and they helped other companies to solve problems. After a meeting, the boss KWAN CI-KIT praised YAT-SHING for providing valuable advice to his client and he was definitely a leading management consultant in town. YAT-SHING returned home to enjoy his time with family members. His sister-in-law SHUI-NGOR discovered that he had spent a million dollars on the renovation works of his new home and she wondered why he didn't help YAT-LUNG. YAT-SHING replied that he would actually harm YAT-LUNG if he had lent money to him. YAT-SHING's wife YUEN KIU tried hard to make their mild autistic son CHI-CHUNG happy but only YAT-SHING was able to communicate with him by matches. YAT-SHING, SHING-CHIT and YIP CHING went to Vietnam together to handle the dispute of a factory that tried to cut budget by firing workers……

SHING-CHIT and the others reported the case to the police but the police had no clue at all. On the other hand, YAT-SHING was brought to an unknown cave. The kidnappers said that they would release him after getting the ransom money. The Vietnam police discovered the dead bodies of the four kidnappers. SHING-CHIT drew a picture of the tattoo of the fifth kidnapper. HO-YAN remembered that HUNG KWAN had the same tattoo on his arm. He brought YUEN KIU and the others to HUNG KWAN. SHING-CHIT tried to get information by paying them but he was bitten up by them. HUNG KWAN asked YUEN KIU to fight with the female boxer. YAT-SHING didn't give up and he tried to escape but the one who was monitoring him was a mad man. The police said that a man's dead body was discovered in the sea. They believed that the kidnapper had died and YAT-SHING should have died as well. However, YUEN KIU believed that YAT-SHING was still alive……

YUEN KIU and YAT-SHING are overjoyed to meet each other again and they cry. During the days when YAT-SHING was missing, YUEN KIU has become a practicing lawyer. YAT-SHING is surprised to discover that they have moved to a small house. All family members are very happy to see YAT-SHING again but CHI-CHUNG regards him as a stranger. YAT-LUNG reveals that YUEN KIU had borrowed money from the finance company during his absence but she was not able to repay the debts. When YAT-SHING was found missing for 7 years, YUEN KIU had declared to the court that YAT-SHING had died so that she could get compensation from the insurance company. YUEN KIU wants to resume YAT-SHING's identity. After studying the case, her master HOK-YU comments that it is a very difficult case. YAT-SHING returns to his company. HO-YAN brings CHI-CHUNG to the psychologist for counseling service. When the psychologist questions CHI-CHUNG, CHI-CHUNG remains silent when he sees YAT-SHING. YAT-SHING tries to find mistakes in the report so that he could resume his identity and he decides to return to Vietnam. Everybody objects the idea but SHUI-NGOR supports him. She even gives YAT-SHING money for the trip. YUEN KIU fails to convince YAT-SHING and she decides to go with him. HO-YAN joins them and they arrive at the fishing village to look for witnesses. When HO-YAN tries to look for the fishing boat taken by the witness, he meets his cousin TSUI-YEE. TSUI-YEE comes for archaeological works with her professor. YAT-SHING and the others question the fisherman who helped with the search but TSUI-YEE discovers that the fisherman is problematic. HO-YAN and YAT-SHING return to the fishing boat but the policemen KA-MING and YU-CHUNG kick them away.

YAT-SHING and the others escape. After returning to the hotel, they discover from the news that someone was behind the scene. YAT-SHING is ashamed and he decides to stop searching. He returns home and WAI-HING is relieved. However, SHUI-NGOR is disappointed with the outcome and she is very angry. YAT-SHING meets up with MAN-HON and he thanks him for his help in Vietnam. MAN-HON reveals that he has helped him because of SHING-CHIT. MAN-HON wants YAT-SHING to be the Chief Financial Officer. He wants both SHING-CHIT and YAT-SHING to work for his company. YAT-SHING discovers that TSUI-YEE is drunk and she is harassed by her friend. CHAK-SAI tries to help her but he becomes the victim. YAT-SHING discovers CHI-CHUNG's painting on the wall and he believes that CHI-CHUNG has drawn him but CHI-CHUNG says that he has drawn HO-YAN. CHAK-SAI and SHING-CHIT learn about it and they suspect that HO-YAN and YUEN KIU are having an affair.

In order to invite BACKHEM to the event, SHING-CHIT goes to have a contest with him. On the other hand, CHAT-SAI brings TSUI-YEE to the office to look for CHEUK-SZE's criminal evidence. TSUI-YEE begs HO-YAN to hire her as a private detective and HO-YAN finally agrees to assign jobs to her. As requested by YAT-SHING, SHING-CHIT and CHEUK-SZE go to Vietnam to investigate the business of Golden Hoi Star Hotel. In order to keep it as a secret, they pretend to be husband and wife. YAT-SHING goes to the legal department of the hotel to ask for legal advice and he is shocked to discover that the lawyer is YUEN KIU. YAT-SHING visits CHI-CHUNG at YUEN KIU's place but CHI-CHUNG only talks to HO-YAN. YAT-SHING invites TSUI-YEE to help investigating the tour group in Vietnam secretly. FU-SHING is sent to the hospital for emergency rescue. CHUN-CHOI and the other staff say that YAT-SHING is liable. YIP TSAU returns to office. CI-KIT asks her to take over the hotel business. YIP TSAU is shocked. CHUN-CHOI asks YUEN KIU if the hotel contract is fine. YUEN KIU says that several computer files are encrypted. CHUN-CHOI replies that those files are not related to the contract. YUEN KIU tells YAT-SHING about it. The tour bus is caught in a traffic accident and SHING-CHIT realizes something. Everybody in the tour group goes to the national park. SHING-CHIT and the others suddenly collapse. When they wake up, SHING-CHIT discovers themselves in the forest and he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. CI-KIT decides to pass the project to YIP TSAU but YIP TSAU objects it. HO-YAN and YAT-SHING meet up with YUEN KIU. They have found important information related to FU-SHING's death.

CHUN-CHOI is suddenly missing. He has damaged the hotel's computer system before he left. YAT-SHING finds a way to operate the hotel again but YUEN KIU says that he will be responsible for any consequences. YAT-SHING is found innocent. CI-KIT and the others celebrate with him. YIP TSAU is drunk and CI-KIT wants to drive her home but she asks YAT-SHING to send her home. CHAK-SAI asks SHING-CHIT why he is speaking for CHEUK-SZE. He also tries to find out the relationship between YAT-SHING and YIP TSAU. When everybody leaves the pub, a crazy woman suddenly runs to YAT-SHING and she accuses him for killing her husband. CHAK-SAI says that the woman is HUNG-WAH's wife. The hotel's computer is infected by virus again and the virus is attacking CHUN-CHOI's files. When YAT-SHING and the others are trying to solve the problem, the police suddenly arrive to look for him and they say that he is the head of the hackers.

CHEUK-SZE reveals that even YUEN KIU is saying bad things about YAT-SHING and she believes that YAT-SHING will be found guilty. CHAK-SAI accuses her for being heartless and SHING-CHIT suspects that she is manipulated by others. Some reporters are waiting at the lobby of the building and YAT-SHING decides to move to SHING-CHIT place temporarily. SHING-CHIT gives hints to YAT-SHING and YAT-SHING finally meets YUEN KIU. After talking to her, YAT-SHING is enraged. CI-KIT and YIP TSAU talk about YIP CHING's past in the pub. YIP TSAU recalls the happy memory with YIP CHING. There are many negative news reports of YAT-SHING in town. SHING-CHIT discovers a very strange email in YAT-SHING's mailbox. TSUI-YEE carries out investigation and she suspects that the computer is infected by virus. TSUI-YEE discovers CHUN-CHOI……

All family members scold YUEN KIU for framing YAT-SHING but YAT-SHING stops them. SHING-CHIT and the others try to find out the person who framed YAT-SHING and they install hidden camera at CHEUK-SZE's office. They follow CHEUK-SZE and realize that they have misunderstood her. They discover that some gangsters are threatening her that they will kill her and her younger brother. SHING-CHIT tries to help her and he learns about CHEUK-SZE's background. SHING-CHIT finds a way to get hold of CHUN-CHOI. CHAK-SAI discovers that CHUN-CHOI is meeting Mr CHUNG and he takes video of the truth. SHING-CHIT meets up with YIP TSAU. He asks her to take a statement at the police station to prove that YAT-SHING did not send message to Mr CHUNG. The hotel's incident is over but YAT-SHING feels that somebody is trying to harm him and the company. CI-KIT says that they are not afraid of it.

YUEN KIU knows that he wants her to relax. YAT-SHING learns that YUEN KIU will be sued and he visits her to offer help but HO-YAN stops him. During the company meeting, CI-KIT asks YAT-SHING to work overseas deliberately. YAT-SHING tries to test CI-KIT by asking him if he is hiding something away. CI-KIT declares his love to YIP TSAU after drinking and YIP TSAU is shocked. HUNG-WAH's wife calls CI-KIT again to blackmail him. CI-KIT has no choice but to listen to her.

YAT-SHING meets up with HO-YAN. He asks HO-YAN to pass money to YUEN KIU but HO-YAN rejects him. YAT-SHING visits YUEN KIU since he is very ashamed after learning that YUEN KIU has helped him. In order to console YAT-SHING, YUEN KIU has not pick up CHI-CHUNG. CHI-CHUNG fails to see YUEN KIU and he is very nervous and he runs out of the road. SHING-CHIT is drunk and he makes trouble at the pub. YAT-SHING arrives to help him. SHING-CHIT passes YAT-SHING's letter to YUEN KIU and YUEN KIU learns that YAT-SHING wants to leave Hong Kong. During dinner, HO-YAN tells YUEN KIU that someone wants to set up a business with him in Vietnam and he plans to move there with the whole family. YIP TSAU introduces the new colleague to everybody and she is TSUI-YEE. SHING-CHIT and the others go to check out the shooting of an advertisement of the new client. HO-YAN thinks that Vietnam has changed completely. He recalls that he has met YUEN KIU again when he returned to the orphanage 16 years ago. HO-YAN and YUEN KIU travel around happily but YUEN KIU recalls the time when she first met YAT-SHING. HO-YAN wants to buy things for YUEN KIU but he discovers YAT-SHING. SHING-YIN and MAN-HON play chess together and MAN-HO teaches him the truth of life. WAI-KEI asks MAN-HO to thanks Ms LI for giving works to SHING-CHIT. SHING-YIN overhears it and he tells SHING-CHIT. SHING-CHIT questions his father angrily. HO-YAN suddenly suggests to leave Vietnam and check out other places but YUEN KIU meets YAT-SHING at the train station. YAT-SHING waits outside the hotel but HO-YAN suddenly runs out with YUEN KIU in his arms. They arrive at the hospital and they learn that YUEN KIU has committed suicide.

HO-YAN kneels down in front of YAT-SHING. He begs him to stop finding YUEN KIU. YAT-SHING returns to the tree where he made a wish and he swears that he will never meet YUEN KIU again since he doesn't want her to suffer anymore. SHING-CHIT and CHAK-SAI use the internet at office. YIP TSAU bursts into the room to scold SHING-CHIT for being lazy. YIP TSAU mentions about YAT-SHING and SHING-CHIT is enraged. SHING-CHIT says that YAT-SHING may never return and the company has no hope. YIP TSAU discovers that CHEUK-SZE is checking out the information of the camera company. She appreciates her efforts and she teaches her the techniques to remember things easily. HO-YAN and YUEN KIU return home. TSUI-YEE ask them if they will migrate to Vietnam soon. SHING-CHIT discovers that the camera company wants to stop collaborating with them. He learns from CHAK-SAI that SHING-YIN has done it and he attacks SHING-YIN angrily.

YIP TSAU discovers that YAT-SHING is washing the dishes for a noodle shop. She is very surprised and sad. CI-KIT learns about YAT-SHING's situation and YIP TSAU reveals everything. YAT-SHING passes by the noodle shop and he discovers another noodle shop with the same at the opposite side. This is because two brothers are competing with each other. CHI-CHUNG visits Mei Ho House and his classmates bully him. A clown arrives to stop them. The clown finds CHI-CHUNG pitiful and he tries to make him smile. They then become friends. SHING-CHIT and CHEUK-SZE join a business banquet. CHEUK-SZE receives a call from Ms LI and she needs to leave. SHING-CHIT asks TSUI-YEE to join the banquet instead. They meet SHING-YIN at the banquet and SHING-YIN teases TSUI-YEE. SHING-CHIT receives a call from YIP TSAU and YIP TSAU says that she has found YAT-SHING. SHING-CHIT and the others are sad to discover that YAT-SHING is doing cleaning works.

YAT-SHING finally realizes the importance of family and he returns home to reunite with his family members. SHING-CHIT and CHAK-SAI are relieved to learn that YAT-SHING will return to OS Consulting Group. During the meeting, SHING-CHIT and the others believe that YAT-SHING will have new initiatives but YAT-SHING asks everybody to continue working for SHING-CHIT and YIP TSAU. CHAK-SAI asks YAT-SHING privately if he wants to set up his own company and he reveals that he will follow him. YUEN KIU picks up CHI-CHUNG at school and she discovers a clown outside. She approaches the clown and discovers that he is YAT-SHING. HO-YAN discovers that they are talking and he is jealous. CHEUK-SZE dresses up and invites SHING-CHIT to take the Ferris wheel together. She declares her love to him but TSUI-YEE discovers it. YAT-SHING sets up a new company. WAI-HING and the others say that the new company is simple and crude……

YAT-SHING brings SHING-CHIT to the noodle shop. As requested by MAN-HON, he persuades SHING-CHIT to support the family business but SHING-CHIT rejects him. MAN-HON passes SHING-YIN's works to others and SHING-YIN is dissatisfied. MAN-HON says that SHING-YIN is trying to earn money secretly with the company's resources. MAN-HON has got a heart attack suddenly and SHING-CHIT arrives at the hospital. SHING-YIN scolds SHING-CHIT for causing it. SHING-CHIT finds MAN-HON's illness suspicious and he asks TSUI-YEE to investigate it. WAI-KEI asks TSUI-YEE if she has discovered anything. TSUI-YEE says that the CCTV has recorded something important. YAT-SHING discovers that YUEN KIU has health problem but YUEN KIU doesn't want HO-YAN to know it. HO-YAN has overheard the conversation with eavesdropping device. YAT-LUNG's enemy is asking him for money. The enemy warns him that he will tell YAT-SHING everything if YAT-LUNG fails to satisfy him.

YAT-SHING and SHING-CHIT are chased by others. YAT-SHING believes that SHING-YIN has done it. SHING-CHIT thinks that there must be a spy in their team. YAT-SHING learns that SHING-CHIT was almost discovered when he carried out investigation on HO-YAN and he asks him to stop investigating but SHING-CHIT rejects him. CHAK-SAI returns to Hong Kong. The three of them try to visit FU but they fail. SHING-CHIT is seriously injured and he loses consciousness. SHING-CHIT finally wakes up. TSUI-YEE doesn't understand why SHING-CHIT is putting his life at risk to help YAT-SHING. SHING-CHIT reveals the past story to her but YAT-SHING overhears it accidentally. SHING-CHIT has stomachache. The police arrive at the recycling yard to tidy up the place after the explosion. They try to investigate the cause of the explosion as well. SHING-CHIT reveals that he has received a mysterious message and he suspects that YUEN KIU has sent it. YUEN KIU says that she is going out to buy bread but she actually goes to the detective agency to look for evidence. However, all the evidences are gone. YUEN KIU meets YAT-SHING when she returns home and YAT-SHING questions her. YUEN KIU suggests to HO-YAN that they should go to Vietnam immediately but HO-YAN hesitates. YIP TSAU asks YUEN KIU why she is still staying with HO-YAN after discovering his secrets. YUEN KIU explains that she wants to protect YAT-SHING. YUEN KIU and HO-YAN arrive at Vietnam. YUEN KIU accidentally discovers that HO-YAN has bought a gun. YIP TSAU informs YUEN KIU that YAT-SHING has left Hong Kong. YUEN KIU immediately asks HO-YAN to leave Vietnam……

YAT-SHING visits Master YAU again to threaten him for information. Master YAT's subordinate brings him to the factory but this is a trap set up by HO-YAN. When YAT-SHING is in danger, another group of people arrive to attack HO-YAN. YAT-SHING hits HO-YAN and HO-YAN is seriously injured. YIP TSAU tries to stop him from killing HO-YAN but somebody makes her faint. HO-YAN wakes up to discover that YAT-SHING has caught him. On the other hand, YIP TSAU wakes up to discover that she is in the hospital. YUEN KIU and SHING-CHIT are by her side. YAT-SHING hears some noises outside the place where he hides HO-YAN. He discovers SHING-CHIT. YAT-SHING refuses to listen to SHING-CHIT and he wants to kill him. When they are fighting with each other, YAT-SHING realizes that he is being drawn away from the house and he returns. He discovers that YIP TSAU and YUEN KIU are sending HO-YAN away. YUEN KIU asks YAT-SHING if he will kill HO-YAN……

In the middle of the night, YAT-SHING leaves silently without letting YUEN KIU knows. YUEN KIU follows him and she discovers his secret. YUEN KIU recalls the things in the past and she knows that YAT-SHING fails to let go of it. TSUI-YEE visits SHING-CHIT for lunch but her eyes are unwell suddenly. SHING-CHIT helps to check her eyes and he wants to kiss her. YUEN KIU learns from the hospital that the Sister is injured when she arrives Hong Kong for fund raising. When the Sister wakes up, she tells them something and YAT-SHING is very shocked. YAT-SHING asks YUEN KIU about the past but YUEN KIU says that she has forgotten everything. YAT-SHING continues to investigate the matter and he suddenly receives a call. When he rushes home, YUEN KIU has gone already. YIP TSAU says that she has saw YUEN KIU the night before. She found YUEN KIU unusually pessimistic. YAT-SHING learns about the truth gradually and he is in deep pain.
