Michaela follows the extraordinary intense bond that has developed between the orphan herd's mini-matriarch Lualeni and the youngest orphan, Makena. Jonathan is on bush control in Tsavo to see what is being done to prevent poaching.

Jonathan Scott is in Tsavo, where one of the older orphans, Mweiga, is struggling with debilitating painful joints and a possible heart condition. At the Nairobi nursery, mini-matriarch Lualeni leaves her beloved Makena and joins the older orphans at the Ithumba release site.
