1x1 - Episode 1

November 24, 1993

TANG TIT KIN, a Wai Tau villager, imposes himself the mission to maintain peace and order in the village. Thus, he joins the police force to patrol the village. KIN has worked as a policeman for more than ten years. He is respected by the villagers. KIN has a girlfriend, MEI HO. However, she is sterilized because of some women's disease. KIN's parents thus oppose KIN to marry HO. KIN feels sorry for that and compensates HO with some shares of his herbal shop. In the police station, KIN, DOUBLE T and TEDDY are very good friends. A policewoman, TONG LIN YUNG, loves KIN a lot. However, KIN dares not to involve in any-love affair at the moment. A trouble-maker, TANG KA ON, who is also a Wai Tau villager, negotiates with his enemy. KIN tolerates him with the condition that he does not do any illegal act openly. A woman inspector, MAK CHI FUN, is sent to investigate the smuggling case. KIN is assigned to be her subordinate……

1x2 - Episode 2

November 25, 1993

While KIN and FUN are confronting against each other, UNCLE GWAN comes up to mediate and promises that he will assign some area for the villagers to build roads. It then ends the quarrel. FUN suspects GWAN's identity. She knows that GWAN is the born villager. He has developed his business outside the village. Now he settles himself down in the village in his old age but he is still very powerful. KIN knows GWAN for many years. They are good friends. During the opening ceremony of GWAN's shopping arcade, all the villagers participate. ON and his wife, YUNG FONG, have also attended. FUN has also accompanied them and attends the ceremony. The triad member, YUEN MAN TSUI, extorts money from GWAN. GWAN's subordinate, CHUAN NGAU, cannot tolerate him. TSUI then troubles them. KIN arrests all the involved people and treats the case with his way. FUN is angry with his way in doing things. TANG TUNG rents a house to FUN……

1x3 - Episode 3

November 26, 1993

YUEN MAN TSUI sends a killer to assassinate GWAN. GWAN could escape from death but has involved the village into trouble. The killer has mistakenly hurt the innocent villager. FUN and KIN try to arrest the killer but he could eventually escape away. FUN suspects KIN who is very close to GWAN. GWAN negotiates with TSUI. TSUI expresses that he wants to take GWAN's place. However, TSUI is very arrogant and cannot come to a compromise. GWAN and TSUI's struggle has reached its climax. It leads to a serious injury and disorder. Workload for FUN has been increased. SIR PAUL retires from his police service and holds a banquet. Some people trouble the banquet. KIN believes that it is not done by GWAN and protects him. KIN again quarrels with FUN. In order to settle the case, GWAN sends UNCLE CHEONG to trouble TSUI so as to force the latter leaving the place. KIN wants to clear the case but is misunderstood by FUN……

1x4 - Episode 4

November 29, 1993

FUN finds that KIN is not prejudice in favour of GWAN. She feels very sorry. The relation between them has been improved. In order to confront against TSUI, GWAN has involved his good old friends into trouble. GWAN is very sorry and upset. Thus, he tries to compromise with TSUI. TSUI agrees. JIM TIN WAI backs to Hong Kong from. Taiwan . WAI's father and GWAN are good friends and partners. WAI's father died for the sake of GWAN. In order not to involve WAI into the triad, GWAN sent him to Holland. GWAN always regards WAI as his own son. GWAN is getting old and decides to pass legal business to WAI. WAI: is very smooth and can win TSUI and NGAU's favour. WAI meets KIN again. They still oppose to each other. WAI respects GWAN only on the surface. He is angry with GWAN who has involved his father to death. WAI determines to get back what he thinks he deserves. KIN has arrested a rich guy, Mr……

1x5 - Episode 5

November 30, 1993

KIN goes to FUN's home and witnesses that she has fainted. He thinks that FUN has tried to kill herself. He even comforts her. FUN does not explain. Kin tells FUN about MEI HO. KIN shows great concern about FUN. FONG is hurt by ON. FUN and KIN negotiate with ON. FONG does not want to press ON hard. FUN can do nothing. KIN plays trick on ON for the sake of FONG. ON accused KIN. FUN asks KIN to apologize. FUN knows that KIN is very upset. In order to teach ON a lesson, she joins KIN to follow ON so as to collect the evidence of ON's illegal dealing. Their colleagues even misunderstand that FUN and KIN are dating. In order to frighten TSUI, WAI cooperates with ON to engross TSUI's smuggling goods. FUN and KIN has eventually collected some evidence. They compel ON to accompany them searching the boat. Unfortunately, they are being arrested by their enemies. FUN and KIN takes an opportunity to escape……

1x7 - Episode 7

December 2, 1993

JOEY has set up an Art Gallery. However, TSUI of the Vietnam Faction disturbs her. In order to help JOEY, WAI kills TSUI's younger brother. KIN is ordered to investigate. The Vietnam Faction disturbs the Art Gallery again. Fortunately, KIN arrives in time and arrests TSUI's subordinate. GWAN wants to reconcile with TSUI and stops JOEY to be the witness. JOEY refuses GWAN angrily. On her way home, she meets TSUI. TSUI begs JOEY to let him free. After thorough consideration, JOEY decides to cancel the charge. KIN and FUN are very disappointed. During the opening ceremony of the Art Gallery, WAI has arranged a great massacre. TSUI is seriously injured. GWAN knows that it is done by WAI. However, he has to conceal the truth for the sake of repaying the kindness of WAI's father. GWAN then has to take up all the responsibility. JOEY eavesdrops the truth and is very upset. She destroys the Art Gallery and decides to leave.

1x8 - Episode 8

December 3, 1993

JOEY leaves home angrily. KIN arranges JOEY to live in his home temporarily. JOEY then becomes FUN's neighbour. GWAN worries for JOEY and rebukes WAI. In order to gain GWAN's confidence in him, WAI decides to win back JOEY's heart. KIN helps JOEY in moving in his flat. Though FUN is not happy about that, she pretends that she feels alright. JOEY and KIN drink overnight in a room. When they have waken up, KIN accompanies JOEY to go downstairs. FUN witnesses the situation and misunderstands KIN. GWAN goes to find JOEY but is in vain. He meets FUN. FUN understands GWAN more than before. WAI goes to KIN's home in order to bring JOEY away but fails. WAI hates KIN more. WAI finds a scapegoat for him. KIN and FUN suspect the case and analyse the deposition carefully. They eventually find some clues. Later, FUN even knows the details of that night, KIN and JOEY have only drunk overnight. FUN is very happy……

1x9 - Episode 9

December 6, 1993

KIN questions GWAN about the nightclub. GWAN expresses that he will take care this case. He even asks KIN about JOEY's present situation. WAI loses a lot because his partner has withdrawn. However, WAI dares not to show his dissatisfaction before GWAN. GWAN deliberately goes to the hotel visiting JOEY. However, JOEY is very cool to him. While JOEY is working, a customer has lost her bag. JOEY tries her best to arrest the thief. She has got hurt. When she backs to the Hotel, her supervisor even scolds her. GWAN feels sad to witness all these. FUN wants to help KIN in promotion. However, KIN does not want to act in opposi tion to his character. Thus, he refuses FUN's goodwill politely. GWAN knows that JOEY has misunderstood him, With KIN's help, he could have the chance to swear before JOEY that he will close his illegal business after his sixties. The father and daughter eventually reconcile……

1x10 - Episode 10

December 7, 1993

During the test, KIN is appreciated by the superior. However, KIN still dissatisfies with FUN's arrangement. In order to gain GWAN's favour, WAI deliberately buys an art gallery. JOEY feels very touched. KIN knows WAI well and warns JOEY. DOUBLE T is chased by the loanshark in the mahjong-playing shop. FUN witnesses the situation and requests KIN to report the details. KIN has no other alternative and agrees. DOUBLE T is very dissatisfied with KIN. He thinks that KIN does not protect him. KIN follows FUN to a banquet. FUN represents KIN to make a speech regarding the recent situation of the village. KIN is very nervous but FUN is very calm and bright. KIN could not join the group and feels very dreary and lonesome. He knows that he does not suit this kind of environment. GWAN gradually closes his illegal business and prepares to give his subordinates some money settling down……

1x11 - Episode 11

December 8, 1993

GWAN is seriously hurt. JOEY stays in the hospital with him. She is very sad. WAI and NGAU frame UNCLE CHUNG up during' the triad meeting. They even show the video which is the evidence of CHUNG' s son who confesses that he has commit ted the murder. UNCLE CHUNG is difficult to get in the truth and kills himself. NGAU wants to be the leader, the elder generations dare not to say anything' though they are very angry. WAI excuses that GWAN's situation is still not very good and postpones NGAU's suggestion , All the people agree. KIN & FUN visit GWAN. KIN sees that JOEY is very tired, he takes JOEY away to eat something. FUN sees that GWAN has some response and questions him the details. Meanwhile, JOEY and KIN return. JOEY misunderstands that FUN aims at collecting information, she drives them away angrily. WAI expresses his care and concern to JOEY. JOEY gradually feels grateful with him……

1x12 - Episode 12

December 9, 1993

FUN is scolded by her superior as crimes in the village has become more frequent. KIN and the others understand that FUN has protected her subordinates. TANG TUNG and his wife are eager to have a grandson, thus, they force KIN to meet a girl. However, KIN quarrels with the girl. KIN is even insulted by her. FUN by chance is in the spot. She then pretends to be KIN's girlfriend and saves his face. KIN and FUN have a walk on the beach and talk with each other overnight. KIN has made an appointment with DOUBLE T, TEDDY and HANDY to barbecue in that beach. Thus, they meet FUN and KIN. They are very surprised. FUN feels very embarassed. WAI joins force with the buyer of the ammunition to kill NGAU. He then becomes the leader. On the surface, he promises JOEY that he will gradually close his illus. business. Actually he plans to expand it. KIN and FUN are robbed in the street……

1x13 - Episode 13

December 10, 1993

KIN and JOEY believe that GWAN could recover. KIN suggests to find a Chinese Chi-Kung Doctor .JOEY agrees. WAI cannot stop them. The Chinese Chi-Kung Doctor is failed in curing' GWAN. KIN and JOEY are very disappointed. In fact, WAI has bought over the doctor. GWAN eventually has some response. JOEY is very happy. WAI worries a lot . He quickens his pace in developing his plan. WAI intends to have NEI HO's Herbal Tea Shop. HO refuses him. WAI then sends his subordinates to threaten her. HO is very frightened. KIN is determined to confront against WAI when he has known the case. However, he has changed his mind after FUN's persuasion. HO has no other alternative and sell the Herbal Tea Shop. JOEY visits TANG TUNG and his wife. They want to tell JOEY about WAI' s evil deeds but are stopped by KIN. It is because KIN does not want JOEY to get involved into the trouble. HO decides to leave Hong Kong. KIN and FUN see her off……

1x14 - Episode 14

December 13, 1993

The villagers always visit the nightclub after it's opening. The woman in the village are very dissatisfied. In order to strike WAI, KIN abuses his authority to disturb his nightclub. FUN warns KIN. WAI could also gain JOEY's confidence in him with some sweet words. KIN is angry to be rebuked. HANDY helps KIN to teach WAI a lesson and troubles the nightclub. KIN finds that his father is one of the directors in the nightclub. KIN is very angry. Meanwhile, JOEY arrives and is very unhappy with the way KIN behaves. JOEY is sad. WAI consoles her. The relationship between the two has improved. KIN is in a mood. FUN invites him to watch film with her. KIN feels greet. However, FUN has to attend a meeting. KIN then go e s out alone and mistakenly buy s a ticket for the obscene film. He falls asleep in the cinema. In another aspect, somebody has committed arson in WAI's nightclub……

1x15 - Episode 15

December 14, 1993

JOEY tells GWAN her secret in heart. GWAN feels sad that he cannot explain himself. KIN understands that JOEY is in a dilemma. He observes that JOEY is touched wi th WAI. KIN warns JOEY which makes her more confused. WAI leaves the hospital alone. JOEY worries a lot for him. She hurries to the restaurant and meets WAI. WAI tells her his life in Holland. JOEY sympathizes him. In order to help JOEY, KIN and FUN investigate WAI's file. Unexpectedly, JOEY is very dissatisfied and blames them. In order to expand his ill e g e L business, WAI asks ON to help him. KIN is discontented with WAI who is very arrogant. He then goes to wipe out WAI's illegal casino together with DOUBLE T and TEDDY. FUN blames them. DOUBLE T even steals an evidence which is a diamond ring. JOEY eventually agrees to marry WAI. KIN has no way out……

1x16 - Episode 16

December 15, 1993

JOEY is very angry after hearing' GWAN's word , She leaves angrily together with GWAN. WAI is very embarassed. KIN goes to the hospital to visit GWAN. JOEY asks KIN sending some guys to take care GWAN but she does not tell KIN the whole story. During the shareholders' meeting, JOEY announces that she will take over all GWAN's business. She even asks UNCLE HUNG to help. The elder generations also support her. WAI dares not to show his discontent though he is very angry. WAI is reluctant to see his power being weakened. He negotiates with JOEY. He wants JOEY to give him the Lung Ring Faction in exchanging' GWAN and JOEY's safety. JOEY refuses. WAI threatens JOEY with GWAN's criminal evidence. BY the time, FUN is recording' WAI's deposition , JOEY appears and makes a compromise with WAI. FUN and KIN feel very strange. FUN tells KIN that JOEY will become the leader of the Lung Ring Faction. KIN questions JOEY……

1x17 - Episode 17

December 16, 1993

Fortunately, KIN arrives during' the emergency. Re defeats the killer. They then hurry to the hospital so as to stop the killer hurting GWAN. WAI is not found guilty because of insufficient evidence. JOEY requests FUN to send some guy s protecting GW.4N. WAI wants to get back his title and power. JOEY has no other alternative and agrees. JOEY even blames him to be ungrateful and thankless. WAI frankly states that he is dissatisfied with G~4N who has sent him to Holland and also involved his father in trouble. He claims that it is the right time for him to seize all he should have. He is getting very emotional and even wants to rape JOEY. Fortunately, KIN watches outside and saves her. KIN brings JOEY to FUN's home. KIN asks FUN to marry him. FUN has no confident in marriage . KIN tells TUNG & YUEN his relation with FUN. TUNG & YUEN know that FUN has been divorced and. has given birth to a child……

1x18 - Episode 18

December 17, 1993

GWAN decides to confess his crimes to the police so that WAI cannot threaten JOEY with GWAN's criminal evidence, KIN tries to s top him. However I GWAN is very determined. He even asks KIN to take care JOEY. When JOEY has known the case, she is very upset. FUN and her superior want to know WAI's criminal evidence through GWAN. However, GWAN is a person with the sense of righteous. FUN cannot get it. GWAN requests to see WAI. He wants to persuade WAI stopping his evil deed but is rebuked by WAI instead. GWAN is very irritated. ON holds a birthday banquet. FUN sees that he is very rich and suspects him. She discusses with KIN the case. They decide to investigate him. ON brings his subordinates to dig the tomb. Conflicts arise with the villagers , KIN negotiates with WAI. KIN is very angry with him. KIN is ordered to arrest ON and a group of robbers. He has got one robber. He tells the police that ON is the contact person……

1x19 - Episode 19

December 20, 1993

KIN is very downcast after being dismissed. WAI again arranges people to dig the tomb and building an entertaining Club.KIN wants to stop him but is being insulted instead. The villagers are determined to protect their tombs. They even recline on the ground so as to stop them digging the tomb. FUN arrives and arranges to leave first. KIN is dissatisfied with FUN's way of doing things. JOEY witnesses the situation and goes out with KIN. She indirectly asks KIN to go to England with her. KIN understands her intention and frankly expresses that he treats her as his younger sister. ON meets WAI and asks for his fifty thousand reward.WAI delays the payment and secretly asks JAMES to do him in. ON plans to meet FONG and asks her to procure money for him. FONG goes to ask FUN for help. FUN knows that there is something strange and follows FONG. By the time, ON wants to leave by a boat. FUN appears and persuades him to confess……

1x20 - Episode 20

December 21, 1993

WAI discovers that the diskette was lost and is very nervous. He also worries a lot for the payment to the real estate company. Though KIN cannot find out WAI's name in the diskette, he is confident that he can strike WAI. KIN bursts into WAI's office and suggests i to exchange him the diskette for the village land. WAI agrees. TEDDY cannot keep his mouth shut and tells FUN everything. FUN meets KIN and analyses the case. FUN could eventually convince KIN to action together so as to collect WAI's criminal evidence. WAI eventually asks KIN to hand over the diskette. KIN secretly records their conversation. It makes WAI announces the he has framed KIN up. Later, WAI discovers the recording and wants to get back the diskette. Meanwhile, FUN arrives. However, WAI has escaped away. WAI has caught JOEY and threatens KIN to exchange the diskette with JOEY……
