Tom joins her to oversee their inheritance and use the proceeds of its sale to launch his start-up company... only to discover that his sister has actually dropped out of school and that her anti-capitalist activities will certainly complicate liquidating their joint bequest.

Conflicts arise between the “official” rent-paying roommates and the “illegal” squatters who've crashed the building. Tom must sell it quickly. He tells Mia that she and her friends are squatting in the very building their grandfather left them. Uneasy with her new "landlord/ heiress" status, Mia doesn't tell her lover Kristos, who runs an NGO aiding refugees. But he'll soon find out the truth.

A fire has destroyed the NGO headquarters. Tom and Mia take the displaced refugees and migrants into their building. Mia and roommate Noam become close, but Kristos takes that badly. Tom decides not to go back to New York, as planned. So his girlfriend, Lily, comes to Athens to accelerate the sale of the building to finance their start-up. But then they'll have to evict all the occupants.
