Grosse Pointe (2000)
A new comedy from the creator of "Sex and the City"
The onscreen melodrama is nothing compared to what happens when the cameras stop rolling on the fictitious primetime soap GROSSE POINTE. The comedy follows the lives of six young actors trying to adjust to the demands to instant stardom, as their hit show launches them into the world of premieres, paparazzi and power.

1x2 - Thieves Like Us
September 29, 2000
Hunter talks a reluctant Marcy into helping her sabotage Courtney's scenes by making faces at her out of camera range. Hunter's ploy backfires, however, when the unsuspecting producers call her on the carpet about her less-than-legal off-duty habit.
1x3 - Prelude to a Kiss
October 9, 2000
Hunter freaks when next week's script calls for her character's boyfriend, played by Quentin, to kiss Courtney's character. Meanwhile, Marcy throws a party to lure Johnny into spending time with her.
1x4 - Devil in a Blue Dress
October 16, 2000
Hunter gets an audition for an Oliver Stone movie but is hesitant when she learns she may have to gain weight to get the part. When she balks, Courtney tells her a real actress would put on the pounds, and Marcy offers to help her beef up. Meanwhile, Dave snags the movie script and makes copies to auction on the Internet.
1x5 - Halloween
October 20, 2000
After recovering from an accident on the set, Marcy finally finds her own hot guy when the girls take her out clubbing. Meanwhile, Dave has to find another place to live when Johnny throws him out of the trailer.

Hunter is ecstatic when she talks Rob into hiring her reformed-alcoholic mother Helena for a bit part. Elsewhere, Courtney and Johnny prepare to play a charity volleyball match with cast members of "Popular."
1x7 - Sleeping with the Enemy

Tabloid rumors that Helena and Quentin are romantically involved send Hunter fuming--primarily because the rumors are true. Johnny's movie premiere provides an excellent opportunity for the cast to steal some spotlights.
1x8 - Satisfaction
November 10, 2000
Cast and crew revolt when the new producer aims to shoot a graphic sex scene. Protesters include Marcy, who says she's too inexperienced; Johnny, who hates being nearly naked most of the time; and fellow producer Rob, who decides to take action.
1x9 - Boys on the Side

After making a big stink on the set, Hunter takes out a restraining order against Quentin; Courtney does a Japanese commercial, not realizing what her overseas nickname is; a studly guest star sets his sights on Marcy.

A magazine publishes nude photos of Courtney without her permission, causing a big hubbub among the cast and crew. Meanwhile, Dave prepares to tell Marcy how he really feels about her.

Sarah Michelle Gellar agrees to appear on the show--but only if her character can kiss Marcy's. Now rumors are flying about whether Gellar's gay, and Marcy's considering "experimenting" with her. Quentin, meanwhile, takes credit for rushing to the aid of a hit-and-run victim whom, unbeknownst to the rest of the world, he actually hit in the first place.
1x17 - My Best Friend's Wedding
February 18, 2001
Hunter announces that she's getting married in two days to a guy she met the day before--Dweezil Zappa. Wedding party members include maid of honor Marcy and bridesmaid-for-hire Elizabeth Berkley. Meanwhile, Marcy and Dave make a love connection.

The Octopus

The Show it's a parody, in Apulian dialect sauce, of the Michele Placido starring series "La Piovra" (1984) A bloody feud features two families, the Inpetto and the Sanguellatte. At the origin of it all is a wrong suffered on a Sunday morning many years earlier. Rocco Sanguellatte's mother, intent on preparing the traditional ragout, realized she lacked parsley, essential for seasoning the braciole. She then went to ask for some from across the street, that is, Freddy Inpetto's mother, who, however, apologized, telling her that she had none in the house, dismissing her. Shortly thereafter, Rocco, having met his friend Freddy, noticed something green between his teeth, identifying it precisely as parsley, thus inferring disrespect to his mother and thus beginning the tragedy.
