1x1 - Episode 1

August 29, 1994

FAI is a young and positive medical houseman. FAI and his family are getting a very stable life after his energetic struggle. Meanwhile, he also has a stable girlfriend, FUNG, who is also his university schoolmate. They support each other in work. FAI's good friend, KIT, who secretly admires FUNG, also tries to chase FUNG secretly. When everything seem so perfect, FAI's elder brother, MAO is released from prison. It leads FAI to have a tragic change.

1x2 - Episode 2

August 30, 1994

MAO always bothers FAI. He affects FAI's performance in the hospital. FAI is also being blamed by his superior, CHEUNG. FAI's childhood good friend, TAI, is going to get married. FAI helps him to prepare the wedding. They encourage each other. However, MAO is still bothering FAI. He even extorts FAI the money for the new flat. When TAI has known the case, he negotiates with MAO for FAI's sake. Unexpectedly, MAO attempts to beat TAI, TAI kills MAO mistakenly in confusion. TAI has involved himself in great trouble before his wife, FONG, is going to deliver the baby.

1x3 - Episode 3

August 31, 1994

TAI wants to flee away. When FAI has known the case, he tries to stop him. TAI eventually confesses his crime to the police. In another aspect, KIT is jealous with FAI who is always so outstanding. He sets FAI up with the medical report. This creates conflict between FAI and CHEUNG. FAI meets MUI who is fond of music by coincidence when he is very upset. They become good friends. However, FAI has found out that MUI is CHEUNG's daughter. He feels sad about that. Moreover, FUNG is being kidnapped by a mentally-deranged patient because of FAI' s mistaken judgement. FUNG's life is at stake.

1x4 - Episode 4

September 1, 1994

FUNG is being kidnapped. FAI hurries to rescue FUNG. However, FUNG' s hand is hurt. FAI fee I s very sorry. he knows more about his weaknesses. He reconciles with CHEUNG. FUNG then could not be the surgeon due to the injury. FUNG is very upset. She hides the truth from FAI. FUNG's father, LAI, misunderstands that CHEUNG takes the opportunity to take revenge. In another aspect, MUI wants to issue a record for an orphanage. She could eventually make it happen after her hard work. However, MUI has fainted when she is performing the music.

1x5 - Episode 5

September 2, 1994

MUI is awakened after emergency aid. In fact, MUI is suffered from inherited heart disease, she will die at any time. Nonetheless, MUI is very positive and optimistic. She even invites FAI to sing the main song together. FAI refuses her politely at beginning. However, he is affected with her passion and sincerity later and agrees to sing with her. TAI is set free with FAI' s help. However, FONG does not trust him. TAI pays special effort to earn FONG's trust. KIT is jealous with FAI who is so lucky in both career and love. He tries to spoil the relation between FUNG and FAI. He even frames FAI up when he, himself, has made a mistake.

1x6 - Episode 6

September 5, 1994

FAI is trapped by KIT. He attends the meeting in the hospital as a drunk man. CHEUNG scolds him. FAI loses the opportunity to join the investigating commission. However, FAI helps MUI to record a song successfully. He is being invited to CHEUNG's home as guest. He knows that CHEUNG does regard him as his important assistant. However, MUI's good friend, FUN, attempts suicide and is being sent to the hospital. MUI is very confused. TAI and FONG have set up a dessert shop. They live a very stable life. However, TAI is involved into trouble by his befriend, BILL. BILL extorts money from TAI. TAI tolerates him. However, conflict eventually arises between TAI and BILL. BILL bothers his dessert shop.

1x8 - Episode 8

September 7, 1994

CHEUNG tells FAI that he has an affair with him. He regrets a lot. FAI agrees to keep it a secret. He hopes that CHEUNG will resolved the problem as soon as possible. FUN wants to disclose her relation with CHEUNG during the hospital annual ball. In order to protect CHEUNG, FAI brings FUN away. Others misunderstand FAI. In another aspect, FONG is going to leave Hong Kong. She spends her last day with TAI. TAI grieves with pain. KIT tries to disclose FAI and FUN's relation before CHEUNG. CHEUNG forces KIT to resign. KIT then knows that FUN and CHEUNG do have an affair. Meanwhile, CHEUNG sees FUN for the last time to persuade FUN leave him. Unexpectedly, CHEUNG pushes FUN to death mistakenly.

1x9 - Episode 9

September 8, 1994

CHEUNG is very confused after FUN's death. He wants to find FAI for help. However, FAI meets a taxi-driver whose car has broken down. CHEUNG could not reach him. CHEUNG backs to hospital and meets KIT. KIT has known the case. KIT pretends that he will help CHEUNG. He makes use of the case to threaten CHEUNG instead. Later, FAI has become the suspect when FUN's body is found. FAI finds CHEUNG to clear the case for him. However, CHEUNG does not explain the case for FAI due to his own selfishness and KIT's instigation. FAI is in great trouble. FUNG and MUI help FAI to find the taxi-driver for clarification. Later, TAI also tries to help when he has known the case. In another aspect, FAI tells them the truth when he has known that CHEUNG is so selfish.

1x10 - Episode 10

September 9, 1994

CHEUNG denies FAI's accusation. FAI is on trial. FAI is in a disadvantage position. TAI succeeds in persuading the taxi? driver to give statement for FAI with money and sense of righteous as the main points. FAI is eventually sentenced not guilty. Since then there is a breach between FAI and CHEUNG. TAI again quarrels with BILL for the sake of helping FAI. TAI is always oppressed by BILL and his family is also ruined. TAI beats BILL hard. FAI worries a lot for TAI who will again step into the wrong way. KIT threatens CHEUNG to abolish FAI's medical practitioner's CHEUNG follows KIT's instruction for his own sake. He abolishes FAI's doctor qualification at the medical bureau meeting.

1x11 - Episode 11

September 12, 1994

After FAI has been abolished the medical practitioner's licence, he says goodbye to his colleagues and patients. They miss FAI a lot. FAI is very confused. Fortunately, his family members give him a lot of support. Meanwhile, TAI has become a famous triad leader. When TAI has known the case, he finds CHEUNG for revenge. TAI and FAI quarrel with each other due to this incident. YIU, a senior triad leader, appreciates TAI's talent. He invites TAI to join him. TAI refuses. BILL is jealous with TAI. He makes use of a Thai drug-smuggler to frame TAI up. YIU rescues TAI. TAI then agrees to join YIU. MUI gets some clues from FUN. MUI begins to suspect CHEUNG. Later, MUI finds CHEUNG and FUN have been taken photo together in a restaurant. MUI is shocked.

1x12 - Episode 12

September 13, 1994

When MUI has known CHEUNG and FUN's relation, she is very irritated. She questions CHEUNG. CHEUNG admits his relation with FUN. MUI leaves angrily. FAI works in a pharmacy as a salesman. He seems to be very positive about his job. In fact, he finds his job very boring. KIT arbitrarily cancels the new medicine which is being promoted by FAI. The boss blames FAI and sacks him. MUI misses her mum, KUEN, very much. MUI regards CHEUNG as a stranger. FAI does not want to make his family member worry for him. He pretends that he is working everyday. In fact, he just wanders around. When FUNG has known the case, she is heart-broken. She blames FAI who does not trust her and has cheated her.

1x13 - Episode 13

September 14, 1994

Since FUNG and FAI have quarrelled with each other, FAI is very upset. Fortunately, MUI stands by FAI. She comforts him. MUI devises to make FAI and FUNG meet with each other. They eventually reconcile. KIT makes use of CHEUNG's reputation to set up a healthy centre. However, CHEUNG refuses KIT. In another aspect, TAI is working hard for YIU in drug-smuggling. TAI has become very famous among the triad. Once, YIU is shot. TAI brings him to an illegal doctor, WAN, for rescue. However, WAN is not so capable. TAI brings YIU to FAI for rescue. FAI is reluctant to practise as a doctor illegally. The triad members threatens FAI with gun. FAI is in danger.

1x14 - Episode 14

September 15, 1994

FAI has eventually agreed to help YIU for the sake of saving others life. However, FAI has insufficient medicine. TAI finds FUNG for help. FUNG refuses TAI. Fortunately, MUI helps them to get some medicine through CHEUNG. MUI hurries to give FAI the medicine. BILL's people could nearly catch MUI. Fortunately, MUI can arrive in time. FAI could then save YIU's life. FUNG misunderstands that FAI has got acquainted with the triad. She proposes to separate with FAI. KIT takes the opportunity to win FUNG's favour. FAI has made a youth step into he right way in WAN's place when he practised as a doctor. MUI knows FAI more. She finds that FAI is a good doctor.

1x15 - Episode 15

September 16, 1994

FAI works in LAI's clinic with FUNG's help. He investigates KIT's health program. He suspects KIT's program. He even requests KIT to explain. KIT aware that FAI is an obstacle to him. KIT uses FUN's elder sister, LING, to set FA up. Though FAI could escape from the charge, it makes a breach between FAI and FUNG. YIU asks TAI to kill BILL. TAI wants to withdraw from the martial world. YIU kidnaps TAI's son, HON, so as to force TAI killing BILL for him. When FAI has known the case, he hurries to rescue HON. Then he goes to stop TAI killing BILL before he made a big mistake.

1x16 - Episode 16

September 19, 1994

FAI succeeds to stop TAI killing BILL. TAI brings HON home. FONG blames TAI. TAI is very disappointed as there is no hope for him to recover his relation with FONG. FAI is drunk. MUI brings him home and takes good care of him. MUI has already fallen in love with FAI. In another aspect, FUNG has also fallen in love with KIT. LAI's nephew, TSUEN, discloses that KIT's account is a mess. KIT buys over BILL to kill TSUEN. Fortunately, TSUEN could escape from death with TAI's help. FAI and MUI go camping with the old people. MUI helps FAI to find his ring. She climbs down from a hill. FAI also climbs down to find MUI. They climb up after the search hand in hand. MUI suddenly faints. FAI then knows that MUI is suffered from a fatal disease.

1x17 - Episode 17

September 20, 1994

MUI and FAI have become lovers after the camping. Meanwhile, MUI is very sick and is being sent to the hospital. FAI requests CHEUNG to save MUI. KIT knows that CHEUNG is going to perform a surgery for TSUEN. He creates a traffic jam to obstruct CHEUNG's way to the hospital. TSUEN is eventually died. CHEUNG questions KIT. However, he could do nothing to KIT. Once, KUEN finds the photo which FUN and CHEUNG were together. KUEN then knows that CHEUNG is the murderer. She leaves home angrily. KIT and CHEUNG back home. KIT fears that she will disclose the truth. KIT chases KUEN and attempts to kill her.

1x18 - Episode 18

September 21, 1994

KIT has killed KUEN. He hides the truth from CHEUNG. KIT removes all obstacles. He even quits his post as a doctor. He goes to China to develop his business aiming to squeeze more money. FUNG witnesses KIT who business is booming. However, KIT finds that TSUEN has got his criminal evidence which is stored in a computer floppy disk. He searches for the disk in FONG's home. Meanwhile, TAI backs home. He drives BILL's people away. This incident has made TAI and FONG reconcile. FUNG also knows that KIT had framed FAI up from LING. FUNG separates with KIT. She apologizes to FAI. CHEUNG believes that KIT is related to KUEN's disappearance. He goes to question KIT. He finds KIT's criminal evidence. He tries to seize the disk. KIT beats CHEUNG. CHEUNG is fainted.

1x19 - Episode 19

September 22, 1994

KIT locks CHEUNG up in a hut. He then arranges to flee away. LING has known the case. KIT also locks LING up. KUEN's body has eventually been discovered. MUI is very upset. Everybody know that it is KIT's evil deed. They discuss how to deal with KIT. In another aspect, KIT intends for his last swindle for money before he left Hong Kong. He even asks BILL to kill CHEUNG and LING. Fortunately, TAI rescues the two in time. The three hurry to stop KIT leaving Hong Kong. KIT has no way out. He kidnaps MUI as the hostage. MUI is in danger.

1x20 - Episode 20

September 23, 1994

KIT could eventually escape away with MUI as the hostage. Everything are clear, FAI resumes office. TAI and FONG are living happily together. However, MUI is getting very sick. The only way to save her is to transplant another heart into her body. FAI is very upset. KIT suddenly returns. He finds FAI for revenge. FUNG is shot for the sake of saving FAI. KIT has fallen down to death when he is trying to escape away. FAI is extremely upset to see that his two beloved girls' lives are at stake. FUNG knows that she will soon die. She agrees to donate his heart to MUI before she died. CHEUNG and FAI cooperate to perform the surgery for MUI. MUI has eventually recovered. FAI and MUI sigh mournfully before FUNG's tomb.
