Debora ran away from home after being found by her father with Sahid and takes refuge at school, where a week of self-management is underway. In the meantime Simone has become engaged to Patrizia and Pietro takes his revenge by filling the school with writings, which his classmates will be forced to clean up the next morning. Patrizia, to punish Simone who had written a poem to Sara about her declaring her love for her, warns Debora's parents about her relationship with Sahid. In order to live her story, Debora is ready to leave for Monaco, but Stefania warns her father that, in order to make her stay, he promises not to do anything against Sahid.

Against her father's wishes, Elena has moved in with Mitzi: the boys take Andrea, who left school and family to try to become an actor, to Mitzi's house, unaware that their friend now has a live-in partner. Professor Testa intervenes to try to convince Andrea to continue his studies while he pursues his dream. Giuliana's long-awaited first time does not take place because Franz has drunk too much and feels bad: the boys find out everything and make fun of Franz for what has happened, so much so that the boy consoles himself with Betty. Elena, after yet another quarrel with her father, decides to go and see her father race in the rally, but because of her Mitzi arrives late, when the car to be tested has already crashed into the side of a mountain.

Giuliana surprised Franz with Betty and was left in her desperation by her friend Stefania, fed up with his constant whining. Elena has decided to distance herself from Mitzi and has to move to Paris to follow her mother. Meanwhile, Giuliana and Cristian, who both feel abandoned by their friends, find themselves making love. Giuliana confesses the crime to Franz, who does not accept the betrayal and reveals it to Debora during rehearsals for Andrea's show, without realizing that the microphones are open.

The boys go to look at the prostitutes and save Lilith from a fight: the girl rejects the courtship of Andrea and Simone being attracted only by Mitzi, who has his heart and mind occupied only by his Elena. Elena has started drinking heavily and Sara decides to take her to her house, where her mother tells her that she too had suffered from alcoholism in the past. Elena then decides to come to her senses and gets closer to Mitzi, but Andrea and Simone, to take revenge on the boy, give Elena the keys to the house, despite knowing that Lilith is there: Elena finds them embracing and falls back into the alcohol trap.

The little orphan Paolo is brought back to the orphanage by a couple who have discovered that they are expecting a child: the child, traumatized, is no longer able to speak. Don Vittorio, who keeps him with him, calls the home repair business that the boys have set up "S.O.S. casa", and on that occasion Gigi meets Paolo, to whom he becomes attached. Paolo and Debora come back to see him and, for his birthday, they take him to a toy shop, where the boy asks for a very expensive video game: Debora scolds him rudely and Gigi gets angry with the girl who, to make up for it, tries to steal the toy. The overseer asks her for money in exchange for her silence. Don Vittorio is forced to close the soccer field, which has become unusable due to a downpour, and Paolo asks the boys to use the money they have raised to pay for the damage. Debora, however, asks Paolo for that money to pay her loan shark, and Gigi believes that it was Paolo who stole it from her. Paul runs away.

Cristian discovers a relationship between his mother and the representative Livio. Cristian falls ill due to the trauma that the news causes him and his mother decides to leave Livio, concealing from her son that it is a gesture to protect him. Professor Testa is replaced by the holder of the chair, Professor Licitra, who has much stricter methods than the previous teacher. The boys see that, outside of school, the professor gives money to a girl who sells necklaces and they follow her. The girl lives in a family home run by Doctor Guido Cogliati: the professor's son, suffering from AIDS, is hospitalized in the family home.

Simone's father hides in Fregene being investigated by the Guardia di Finanza due to some false invoices: he contacts his son, who joins him with Cristian and Stefania, shortly after the Finance also arrives to arrest him. Sara, having fallen in love with Doctor Guido, throws herself headlong into volunteering in the family home, coming into contact with the difficult reality of young people with AIDS. Sahid returns, but Debora's enthusiasm is so great that he is unable to confess to the girl that he will have to leave for Canada, where he has been hired by another volleyball team. Doctor Guido is forced to move to Tuscany with his patients, as he is under eviction. Stefania remembers an important detail regarding the arrest of Simone's father, which will change her fate.

Franz sees his house burgled by thieves and Simone his car destroyed, after Simone's father had received an anonymous phone call asking him for 300 million lire. Stefania connects the two events, which occurred immediately after Betty had reappeared. Debora, determined to participate in an audition for an advertisement, gives up considering herself too fat. To lose weight, she tries to fill herself with low-calorie drinks, but she feels bad and is hospitalized. Johnny goes to the advertisers begging them to call Debora.

Carlo is a paraplegic boy who prefers not to be helped and keeps everyone at a distance. Johnny manages to become his friend and together with the others goes to find him: after discovering that Carlo was playing in a band before the accident that paralyzed him, the group decides to involve him in a musical project, even if the path will not be at all easy.

Johnny, Cristian and Gigi save a girl from rape, but Cristian's diary falls into the hands of one of the criminals, who calls him ordering silence. Cristian is afraid and does not reveal the license plate to the police: when he decides to go back to tell the policemen what he knows, he is attacked. Andrea begins a story with the art history substitute teacher, which will soon come to light. The police inspectors, meanwhile, manage to find a way to convince Cristian to cooperate.

Marco, a new school friend, confesses to Gigi that he is homosexual. Gigi invites him to go out with the others to make him feel welcome: everyone forfeits and Gigi finds himself alone with Marco, deeply embarrassed by the looks of the other boys, which induce him to run away. Gigi apologizes to Marco, who nevertheless confesses his love for him: following the refusal, Marco attempts suicide in the school toilets, where Gigi saves him with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation which, again, will lead him to be taunted by the companions.

Giuliana breaks off relations with the group because, in her opinion, she is treated like a child. The girl decides to run away from home and she boards a train, where she is robbed. In Orte she meets another girl who invites her to go with her to Amsterdam, but Franz's voice comes out of her radio. Mitzi risks her life to save Elena from a stalking maniac.
