1x1 - Episode 1

LAU FOK WING is the owner of an interior design firm. He lives happily with his wife, SUEN SIU YUE and daughter, TRACY. YUE was a dancer at Guangzhou, she forgone dancing after marrying WING. In order to improve their standard of living, WING works very hard to earn money. He runs the interior design firm during the day; whilst, he works as a part-time taxi driver at night. LEUNG TAK WAH is a renowned music company manager. He lives wildly and often fooling around with his singers. One night, WAH has a conflict with his girlfriend FU SING MON in the car and causes a car accident with WING. Both WING and WAH injured seriously and send to the hospital right away. While they are both unconscious, a ghost collector NGAU YAT YAT takes WING, who was meant to live, to hell and leaves WAH, who was meant to die, in the hospital. WING dies eventually.… ...

WING uses the identity of WAH and leaves the hospital. The colleague of WAH, TAM KWUN HEI and MON pick him up from the hospital and drives him home. It is surprised to WING that WAH owns a luxury house. He is nervous and behaves strangely. He is aware of the different lifestyle that WAH has and notices that it takes time for him to get use to it. WING tends to disclose his real identity to TRACY; however, NGAU stops him for leaking of the secret of nature. Meanwhile, MON cheats YUE that the car accident is caused by the carelessness of WING. YUE feels guilty for the injury of WAH and does not recognize WING at all. WING makes an excuse and follows YUE home for dinner and has a wonderful time. Meanwhile, YUE is surprised to find WAH shares the same habits of WING. On the other hand, a contractor, MAN duns for salary that WING owes him despite WING helped MAN a thousand times financially in the past.… ...

YUE is short of cash flow due to the decline of business at the interior design firm. Therefore, NGAU suggests WING to take up the job of WAH in order to help YUE financially. Despite WING has no experience in show business, he gets the help of NGAU to copes with the new challenges. But his colleagues feel strange about his new working style though. Meanwhile, his boss KK urges ‘WAH’ to speed up the progress of a new song which is done by music component, LO YAN HIM. Although it is not an easy task, WING by chance completes the composition. On the other hand, YUE faints in a Chinese herbal shop due to over exhausted. Luckily, WING is there and takes her to the hospital together with the owner, YIP LAN. Besides, WING faces more challenges from his job and the pressure from his boss, KK. He has to scold MAN for breaching the employment contract and has to follow up the failure record cover of a new singer, YING FUNG.… ...

When WING notices that YUE is in great debt, he is anxious to help her. He gives YUE his entertainment allowances by making an excuse for renovating his house, so that YUE can accept the money as deposit of the construction eventually. Meanwhile, WING’s mother, CHIU LAI KING prays and obtains a deviation in the temple. But she returns home angrily because she crashes with a careless man and falls on the ground. TRACY’s teacher suggests YUE to enroll a dancing competition with TRACY at school in order to improve their relationship. Meanwhile, WING is worrying to find a house for YUE to renovate; hence, NGAU fools HEI to lend his house to WING for the renovation. Apart, singer FUNG disagrees with the music composition of HIM and declines to perform. But HIM stands firm and refuses to changes the scores, he quarrels with KK sternly. WING notices that his colleague, FONG MACY pacifies HIM kindly and yet, realizes they are lovers.… ...

Nothing is more upsetting than finding that you are not as good as you think you maybe. MUI tells WING that she likes singing and hopes to be a singer since she was small; thus, WING is ashamed for lacking care of MUI ever since. But it is not just WING alone that neglects MUI; YUE also fails to pay more attention on the interest of MUI. Although YUE is worried about MUI when she returns home late; she fails to interpret and angers MUI instead. CHUNG is judge of the dancing competition that YUE and TRACY enrolled, who is the brother of FUNG also. Quite unexpectedly, YUE leaves a very remarkable impression to CHUNG in the competition. On the other hand, WING is stunned to learn the affair between WAH and MACY while they are entertaining a Taiwan client. WING finds the lifestyle of WAH is ridiculous then. The love triangle between YUE, MON and WING becomes the rumor and hotspot of the press and scares YUE to get close with WING since then. FUNG welcomes his mother CHUI TING at the airport. But he shows irritate when he meets CHUNG. KK decides to make FUNG famous in order to attract TING invest and be one of the share holders. Besides, WING fails to recognize CHUNG even they meet at the corridor. In fact, CHUNG and WAH are close friend and WAH had sponsored CHUNG to study dancing in the past. YUE visits the dancing institute again and realizes that CHUNG is the organizer of the institute. CHUNG recognizes the talent of YUE and feels pity for her if she withdrew from the competition. Therefore, he suggests to teaching YUE dancing and redesigns the steps for YUE voluntarily, so that she can attend the competition. Apart, YUE wants to earn more money and agrees to work in WING’s record company after serious consideration.… ...

YUE feels inappropriate to take the kindness of WING anymore and resigns from the position at the music company immediately. WING worries about the financial difficulties that YUE may encounter; hence, he seeks for the assistance of NGAU. NGAU makes use of the superstition of KING in order to change the mind of YUE. But she fails to cheat YUE and WING is driven away instantly. TING disagrees with the image of FUNG and suggests to increasing his exposure by puffing a family breakup. WING strongly objects her suggestion for spreading rumor about the family. Meanwhile, HEI and MACY feel strange about his seriousness. KING changes her bias on CHUEN when CHUEN gives her a hand when she hurts the angle. Furthermore, she rents the roof top to CHUEN as gratuity. Actually, CHUEN is the father of WAH; but they have not seen each other for a long time.… ...

WING comes to a break point to mend the relationship with YUE when TRACY has a car accident. WING risks his life and saves her daughter from a traffic accident; meanwhile, NGAU uses black magic to change the impression of WING inside YUE. YUE finally forgives WING and agrees to resume her job in the music company. Although WING wants to protect YUE at work, YUE feels embarrass to accept his kindness. Moreover, other colleagues begin to aware of the different attitude and unfairness of WING, especially MACY. She is jealous about YUE and creates trouble for her in purpose; thus orders YUE to complete a task overnight. Despite YUE declines the help of WING, she completes the task by her own ability on time and changes the bias of MACY. Furthermore, she tells MACY about the car accident between ‘WAH’ and WING; yet, clears the misunderstanding of MACY.… ...

HIM tends to light up the romance with MACY again; however, MACY treats him coldly. On contrary, MACY uses the email account of YUE to date WING for a romantic dinner. WING does not know it is a trick of MACY and shows up without doubt. He finds out too late and requires NGAU to help him escape. Meanwhile, HIM is bother by the love wreck and loses interest in work. He has conflicts with client again. Luckily, WING settles their disagreement and comforts HIM afterwards. WING feels guilty for intruding his relationship with MACY; hence, he asks NGAU to be his girlfriend and breaks the heart of MACY. MACY drinks heavily to banish her sorrow; however, some mobs tend to take her advantage in the bar. Fortunately, YUE offers assistance and drives away the mobs eventually. YUE has more ideas about the character of ‘WAH’ after listening to the comment of CHUEN. Nevertheless, MACY commits suicide for ‘WAH’; thus, creates more misunderstandings. Meanwhile, the body of WAH is about time to return to WAH; hence, NGAU suggests WING atone to the sins of WAH. Firstly, WING has to mend the relationship of MACY and HIM; secondly, he must get the forgiveness of CHUEN. Therefore, WING encourages HIM to pursue MACY according to his method; yet, HIM is succeeding in winning the heart of MACY again. YUE recommends CHUNG to be the dancing tutor of FUNG; however, TING disagrees and insults CHUNG in many ways. They quarrel at the end while CHUNG is disappointed that TING never recognizes his talent. YUE suggests CHUNG to enroll for the international dancing competition in order to prove his ability. WING becomes more cautious when he realizes that CHUNG tends to pursue YUE. He worries that YUE will forget him and falls in love with CHUNG; hence, NGAU suggests WING to test the endurance of YUE. But the worries of WING disappear eventually when he realizes the love from YUE towards him is so deep. Besides, TRACY accepts the invitation of her secret admirer and finds out his real identity. Although she is disappointed at first, she is moved by the sincerity of HIM finally. TRACY and HIM overcome all the obstacles and stay together again. On the other hand, WING approaches CHUEN to obtain his forgiveness; however, CHUEN treats him coldly. CHUNG invites YUE to see the rehearsal of dancers at the broadcasting company. In coincident, WING follows CHUEN to leading the elderly to visit the broadcasting company voluntarily and meets YUE.… ...

CHUNG has to admit that he is a major factor that causes KING misunderstood and damages the reputation of YUE. He does not want YUE to give up on dancing; hence, he finds KING and speaks out the truth. KING feels guilty to learn the reality and she finds TRACY to convince YUE to dance again. Apart, WING discovers NGAU has a new mission to take KING to hell. WING tries his best to stop NGAU; thus, KING manages to live longer then. KING is sick; therefore, she asks CHUNG as companion to visit a fortuneteller. But KING fails to obtain any comfort from the deviation because she gets an omen instead. She shares her worries with CHUNG and handovers her belongings to YUE. Nevertheless, she confesses to CHUEN that she has once ruined the marriage of LAN. Since KING is aware of the common interest between CHUEN and LAN, she tends to be their matchmaker before she dies. Therefore, WING also helps KING in finding a lover for LAN.… ...

With better understanding on the personalities of CHUNG, KING begins to recognize him as a perfect man for YUE. Apart, CHUEN finally forgives WING after he was so drunk. On the other hand, the King of Hades punishes NGAU for failing her mission and NGAU has to suffer from a fire torture. WING takes NGAU to an ice house in order to cool down her temperature. NGAU is recovered; but WING gets a cold instead. NGAU is moved by the friendship of WING then. YUE visits WING at once when she realizes that he is ill and; she takes care of WING tenderly. Besides, KK recognizes the talent of MUI and tends to make her a pop singer. MUI is now on her way to success; while YUEN can only support her silently. HEI has an idea to boost up the popularity of MUI and FUNG; thus, promotes them as lovers. In fact, MUI is attached to FUNG since long time ago and they fall in love eventually.… ...

YUE has a lot of uncertainties towards the motive of WING. Therefore, WING has to make up an excuse to convince YUE to believe that he is compensating his fault in the past. Apart, MUI refuses to perform with FUNG and breaches the contract. KK takes legal action against MUI; thus, creates a lot of trouble for YUE. CHUNG notices that FUNG is making use of MUI to increase his exposure in media; therefore, he finds TING for negotiation. However, TING offers harsh terms instead. All performances of MUI are suspended by the record company; hence, YUEN and WING suggest MUI to take the chance to think about her future. But MUI insists to be a singer and has no intention to give up yet. Apart, HEI replaces the position of WING and takes up his role in the company. WING lets CHUNG knows that YUE took care of him and stayed in his room last night deliberately. However, something unexpected happens. HIM finds out ‘WAH’ had an affair with MACY once and reckons the account with WING with anger. WING cannot deny the fault of ‘WAH’; but luckily, HIM values the help of WING in the past and forgives him at last. On the other hand, the property agent of HEI thanks the help of WING and offers him discount in buying property; however, it was a set up. Although the elderly home is renovated, the property developer has increased the price steadily. People accuse CHUEN conspired with WING to take advantage. Hence, CHUEN reckons the account with HEI immediately. HEI denies his fault and puts the blame on WING instead. CHUEN is upset for being betrayed by WING and is totally disappointed. YUE and MACY strongly disagree and resign from the company. Meanwhile, TING invites WING to her music company manager at her new record company and manages his old staffs again. Nevertheless, she appoints WING to be the manager of FUNG also. Things seem to be picking up for WING now. WING suggests to refreshing the oldies and; with the inspiration from TING and LAN, FUNG and MUI launch their song with new images.
