And not only that the daughter of the man who was killed, is a cop and feels that he has not really paid for his crime. In the end Matrix has to tell her that he was the one who killed her father just as she was about to kill him.

The blind man takes Matrix back into the past, where Tony Goff is abused by his father, in an attempt to convince Matrix to 'think like a child', and also to give him the tools he needs to save the little girl.
