3rd year med student Amanda faces her worst fear when a young car accident victim is air lifted to the hospital. 1st year family medicine resident Rupinder treats an infant suffering from dehydration and a toddler with a high fever. 3rd year med student Alyson is called to ER to examine a patient who may have meningitis.

3rd year med student Dave works with anesthesia on elderly patient who chooses to be frozen but remain awake throughout bowel surgery. Hospitals can have a strict social pecking order so 3rd year med student Alyson is surprised when she and her friends are invited to a staff doctor's birthday party. 2nd year med student Karen is juggling marriage, motherhood and med school.

2nd year med student Sarah returns to med school after a year off. Her first assignment takes her to the Labour and Delivery Unit where she assists with the birth of a baby. With graduation just a few months away, 3rd year med students Amanda and Alyson secure interviews for coveted family medicine residencies.

3rd year resident Monali is training to become a general surgeon but tonight she looks after the hospital's sickest patients in the Intensive Care Unit. 2nd year med student Karen starts clerkship with a rotation in paediatrics. Her first patient is a nine year old boy with an eye infection. 1st year med student Jen takes an exam to assess her ability to make diagnoses and interact with patients.

2nd year med student Sarah works with the anesthesia team on an amputation case. 2nd year med student Karen gets a tough assignment when her supervisor's best friend brings his sick child to the ER. With graduation just three months away, 3rd year med student Alyson interviews for a paediatrics residency at McMaster.

2nd year med student Dar treats a woman with chest pains. Family practice resident Rupinder has a set of survival rules to get students through clinical rotations. Brynlea juggles med school, motherhood and long distance marriage.
1x7 - Episode 7
Third year med student Adrianna has been dreading her obs/gyn rotation. She faces her fears when she is on call for the labour and delivery unit. Surgery teams are on a tight schedule and Sarah has trouble working fast in the OR. 2nd year med student Dar works with the Internal Medicine Team. When a sick patient refuses care the team must decide whether to treat him against his will.

First year resident Rupinder has to be ready for anything when he works a shift in the Family Practice Unit. Graduating med students Amanda and Alyson commit to their final choices for residency training. After a full day on call, second year resident Francesco faces a full day of paediatric surgery.

Third year med student Dave works as a medical missionary in rural Zambia. Last year 50 year old Laverne was a high school English teacher. Now he's a first year med student working toward his goal of becoming a family physician. Chief Orthopedic Surgery resident Sam takes on a tough operation to help a child with Cerebral Palsy to be able to walk.

Second year med student Karen learns day surgery. The class of 2002 get their medical diplomas and start their residencies. First year med student Andrew treats a man with a swollen arm.
