But with her return, Quim is willing to forgive and forget, and it's not long before they are engaged again - much to the disapproval of Joca and Grandad. Things get worse when Paulina moves into the flat and refuses to do her share of the housework.

And after a visit to the Doctors' it is recommended that they seek some different housing for the Fintas family - on the ground floor. Joca has just been elected Chairman of the Housing Committee, and with a little pressure from Quim, he persuades housing and welfare co-ordinator Miss Madalena to move the Fintas into a three-bedroom bungalow in another street. All seems hunky dory, until Miss Madalena catches Quim and Grandad sharing a celebratory .

Victoria isn't impressed, but the Fintas get the job anyway. Left alone in the flat to decorate, with only Victoria's beloved pet canary for company, what could possibly go wrong.
