A year after the conclusion of Operation "Sablja," the DSS is in power, and individuals from President Koštunica's circle are appointed to key state positions, despite some of them having been detained during "Sablja." While working on her show, Danica achieves increasing success in her career. Boris faces an upcoming testimony before a disciplinary committee, with high chances of losing his job and possibly ending up in prison. Uroš returns to the country with a special assignment.

A truck ran into Prime Minister Djindjic's motorcade. While the public is confused about what actually happened, Danica Mandić, a young and ambitious journalist, believes that it is marketing by the Prime Minister's office, and Inspector Boris Rakić is trying to extract a confession from the truck driver. Uroš Ristić, a petty criminal within the Zemun clan, receives more and more serious tasks, unaware of what he is getting himself into. March 12, 2003 is approaching.

After the prime minister was killed, a state of emergency was introduced and the police launched the "Saber" operation. Because of the report in which she attacked and criticized the prime minister, Danica was banned from reporting. In a city teeming with police, Uroš is tasked with hiding the rifle that killed the prime minister. Inspectors Boris and Ljuba discover that the Zemun clan receives information from their colleague from the police. Chief Gavrić is afraid that information may leak to the public that the police are complicit in the murder of the prime minister.

Boris and Ljuba know that the sniper who killed the prime minister is from JSO, which is why there is a fear of a possible military coup. The leaders of the Zemun clan order Uroš to convey to the Legions that it is time for plan B - direct armed conflict in the streets. In an attempt to understand why the prime minister was killed, Danica begins to investigate unsolved political murders from the past. It starts with the Ibarska highway and the assassination of Vuk Drašković.

The ring around the leaders of the Zemun Clan is narrowing. Danica finds a man who, after testifying for the Ibar highway, had a suspicious traffic accident and became disabled, as well as a former DB employee, who was kidnapped by his colleagues just before the assassination of Vuk Drašković. Duća and Kum get escape passports from DB, but there is no passport for Uroš.

After the murders of Duća and Kum, many questions remain unanswered. Ljuba loses patience and insists on interrogating the members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) who were involved in the killings. The SAJ leader provokes Boris, mentioning his father-in-law, Žarko. Ljuba needs Danica's help. After the killing in Meljak, Uroš has nowhere to go.

After the murder of the clan leader, the remaining group falls apart while trying to locate the hidden money. Uncovering ties between State Security and past killings, Danica begins to fear for her life and her family. Boris must restrain Ljuba to protect Žarko and himself.

After Ljuba's death, Danica must leave Belgrade. Boris tries to cover his tracks by locating Ljuba's protected witness, Shkenet. Uroš and the remaining members of the Zemun clan flee the country. Žarko goes for a check-up, and the cancer is in remission.
