After the success of 2009’s Avatar, Hollywood was determined to make Sam Worthington the next big leading man. Along with Terminator: Salvation, he was put at the forefront of several huge productions– one of which was a remake of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans. Clash of the Titans definitely raises some questions though. Like why is this called Clash of the Titans when there are zero titans in it? What’s the Kraken doing here in a Greek Mythology story? What was the point of those two guys who show up for a bit and then randomly leave? Why was Perseus so selective about which god gifts to accept? Why didn’t Zeus bring back his family in the end? HBO Max decided to dive into the adult animation arena with VELMA, the Scooby Doo spinoff from Mindy Kaling. Despite negative reviews from pretty much everyone, the show seems to be the talk of the Internet. Or maybe that’s because of them… Velma definitely raises some questions. Like where’s Scooby Doo in the Scooby Doo show? Why is every single character just a completely different person than the character they’re based on? Why is everyone so mean? This time in “live-action” which essentially means very good CGI. Although the original is a classic and characters like Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Zazu, Scar and more are iconic now -- the movie isn’t without its questionable moments. The Super Mario Bros movie was the first movie based on a video game ever made, and it did not exactly inspire confidence in the genre. Starring Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper and Samantha Mathis, the movie is completely bonkers and raises a whole lot of questions. Like how did dinosaurs also evolve into humans? Like why are we focusing on aliens? Why do the good guys and the bad guys have the same goal? How did they think the nuke fridge scene was a good idea? Christopher Nolan has made a name for himself making intellectual mind-bendy movies with films like Memento, Inception and Tenet. Let’s just say it, the dude is a little obsessed with time. He’s one of the few filmmakers making truly “epic” movies, and it’s really cool when you can understand them. Interstellar definitely raises some questions though. Like why doesn’t anyone seem to care about Tom? Why did they decide to go down to that time dilation planet first? Why did they try to collect that worthless data?
