Amadeus is able to repair any machine just by listening to it running. With his sensitive hearing he is able to tell three days in advance when the rain is coming. When the city is suffering from a drought Amadeus is asked to listen for underground streams that can give the inhabitants fresh water again.
3x2 - Drama oko cvijeca

The increasing car traffic and the air pollution of the city means that Frank the beekeeper must leave the city with his bees. But something needs to be done about the poisonous environment. Professor Balthazar develops a windmill that purify the air. But without bees, there are no fruit or flowers growing in the city.

Pirate captain Bobo and his crew of one lose their pirate ship and have to find employment. Unsuccessfully working as scarecrows or at the dark ride of an amusement field, professor Balthazar help them out so they can earn a living as pirates in a peaceful way.

In a faraway desert there in only one palm tree with s shadow large enough for one lion. So Leo the lion travel to professor Balthazar's city for help. With the help of a homeless man he finds the professor who is happy to find a solution.

Helmer the gardener has a serious problem: the fruits in his garden are not growing but shrinking. Small fruits only gives him a small income. The professor helps his friend with a potion that super sizes Helmer's plants.

Rudi, a retired scientist, is staking out a pond in the park in the belief it is the home of a giant dragon. He sits there season after season and professor Balthazar decide to help out his friend by finding out if there really is a dragon in the pond.

In the fall the storks leave the city together to head south. Only one stork, Peppino, is delayed and must stay by himself over the winter. Professor Balthazar teaches him about geography and famous places so he can be a tourist guide to the other storks the next fall.

At the city zoo, Charlie the penguin, entertains the audience with funny dances. But deep inside he is unlucky because of the fact that he can not fly. Professor Balthazar makes him a propeller beanie that will allow him to fly. Now Charlie can make long trips and find himself a penguin girlfriend.

Alfie the tramp, Peter the postman, Florian the street sweeper and many other inhabitants have lost their right shoes. The baffled people turn to professor Balthazar to solve the mystery of the disappeared shoes. The hunt leads to a centipede who need the shoes to protect her feet against a rocky beach.

Michael the police man is the hero cop of the little town, always courteous and helpful. After judging a cake contest he gains weight and is laid off. He needs help from professor Balthazar to get fit again

The little city is protected against fire by two dedicated firemen, but since there never are any fires, they are laid off. Professor Balthazar find a solution so that they can continue to practice fire extinguishing in a nearby volcano.
3x13 - Veseli most
January 1, 1977
An old but beautiful bridge collapses in the little city and the inhabitants are unable to lift it up again. Professor Balthazar find the culprit, Sigmund the saw fish, who has been practicing sawing on the pillars.
