Gangadhar Rao is troubled as there are not enough funds to pay the British. He goes to Aaishri who tells him that it is the turn of his subjects to help him by paying extra taxes. Sakhubai tells Sleeman that he should reduce the time period given to Gangadhar Rao to pay the taxes. Aaishri tells Gangadhar to visit Guruji Maharaj. Laxmibai overhears Aaishri blessing Gangadhar Rao as he leaves. She also hears Aaishri telling her servant how she was successful in separating Manu and Gangadhar. Gangadhar tells Moropant to stay back in Jhansi. Jankibai tells Aaishri that Moropant and his family have been asked to stay back at Jhansi. Aaishri does not like this and insults Moropant indirectly. She tells him that he should live at Durgabai Wada and not in the palace. Laxmibai is practicing sword fight, and at that moment, Aaishri enters.

An angry Peshwa is worried for Manu after her accident. Vadrayan informs Bajirao about Manson's involvement in the trap and presents himself as proof. Bajirao asks Sakharam to send a letter to Fort William about Manson's intention. Manson visits Bajirao's court after being called by him. Bajirao confronts him about trying to kill Manu, but Manu asks to let Manson go for lack of evidence. Moti, upset over having to exit the court, vows to commit a final act. Manu teaches Manson a lesson at night.

Manu confronts Manson, making him confess that he plotted her murder. She thrashes him with a whip when he tries to escape. Moti requests a meeting with Gangadhar, but he refuses. She stabs herself in the court before Gangadhar, saying that he broke her heart. Manson and his officers try to arrest Manu. But Bajirao turns the table against Manson. Manson begs Bajirao not to send the letter to Fort William. Bajirao tells him that the decision lies with Manu. Manu conditions not sending the letter.

Samar Singh tries to enter Manus tent to kill her but is attacked by Pawan. However, Samar Singhs life is saved by Manu who controls the horse. Meanwhile, Motibai undertakes severe austerities to invoke divine blessings to prevent any hindrances in Gangadhars marriage. When Samar reveals that even Gangadhar Rao is scared of the robbers belonging to Samar Singhs gang. Manu makes a resolve that she would not spare the bandit leader if he tried to harm anyone in Jhansi.

Tatya Tope, Moropant, Nana Saheb and the entire troop fall unconscious after having the food mixed with a lethal substance. Samar Singh abducts an unconscious Manu and flees the camp. Meanwhile, Prachi, who is hiding in a trunk, feels hungry and decides to come out of her hiding place. While wandering through the camp, Prachi spots Samar Singh fleeing with Manu. When Sakha Ram reaches the camp, Prachi narrates what happened. The news of Manu getting attacked by Samar Singh reaches Gangadhar Rao. Meanwhile, Tatya Tope and Moropant regain consciousness, and Tope immediately leaves to find Manu. When Samar Singh is about to stab Manu, she suddenly opens her eyes. She asks him why he did not kill her as he is known to be a ruthless killer. Manu tells him that humanity still survives in him. Manu then challenges Samar Singh to fight with her.

Manu succeeds in defeating Samar Singh. She asks him to join her fight against the British. Meanwhile, Tatya Tope and his men surround Samar Singh but Manu comes to his rescue. She informs Tatya Tope that Samar Singh had in fact saved her from wild animals. Gangadhar Rao has a change of heart learning about Motibais efforts to ensure that he encounters no problems in his marriage. Touched by her gesture, Gangadhar Rao goes to meet her at the temple. Samar Singh gives Manu the gold coin that was with the wedding token gifts from Bithur, and had gone missing from the palace at Jhansi. Samar Singh provides invaluable information to Manu - a woman residing inside Gangadhar Raos palace wants her dead.

Motibai welcomes Manu. She then taunts Manu that she would not be able to beget an heir for Jhansi because she is still a child. Jankibai and Lacho assure Gangadhar Rao that they will take care of Manu. After they leave, Gangadhar reveals to Raghunath that he had asked them to take care of Manu to foil their evil plans. Manu and Motibai are about to enter a temple when the priest stops them. He informs Manu that Motibai cannot enter the temple because she is a prostitute. Manu requests the priest not to discriminate against Motibai and he agrees. Motibai is touched by Manus gesture.

Manu reveals to Motibai that she will find out about the woman who conspired with the British to kill her. Motibai is frightened. Sakhubai complains to Gangadhar Rao that she was not given the opportunity to welcome Manu. When Motibai is about to leave the room, Manu tells Prachi that she will tell Gangadhar Rao about the woman who tried to kill her. Manu puts Motibai in a tighter spot when she decides to write a letter to Gangadhar Rao and tell him about the woman. Manu also has the proof to support her allegation - the gold coin that had gone missing from the palace.

Manu discovers that the letter she had written to Gangadhar Rao as well as the gold coin is missing. Unknown to Manu, Motibai steals the letter to prevent Gangadhar Rao from learning the truth about her, and plans to send a letter to the king in Manus name. Tatya Guru offers gifts to the King of Jhansi ahead of the wedding. Gangadhar Rao spots a letter and instructs Dixit to read it. The contents of the letter shock Dixit. Motibai, who rejoices in anticipation of the success of her plan, is in for a shock, when Dixit astutely starts praising the king. When Tatya Guru learns from Dixit that Manu had in fact opposed marrying Gangadhar Rao in the letter, he seeks an explanation from her. Manu admits that she did write a letter but never sent it to Gangadhar Rao.

Gangadhar returns the coin to Manu without recognising her. Manu vows to end the British rule in India and promises that Jhansi will be her motherland. A villager informs Manu that many times he has seen a woman dressed in black leaving the palace at night. Manu follows the woman and is shocked to know that the wall is actually a door that opens into Frasers premises. Manu is unable to enter as a guard stops her. Fraser is annoyed with Motibai for failing to teach Manu a lesson. Motibai has another plan for Manu and informs Fraser that Gangadhar would get angry to see Manu disguised as a courtesan and spying on him. When Motibai leaves Frasers premises, Manu follows her to the palace. Manu is shocked to know the woman is Motibai.

Manu learns that the inmate from Jhansis palace, who made several attempts on her life, is none other than Motibai. Motibai confesses that her love for Gangadhar Rao was responsible for her acts. Just then, Gangadhar Rao arrives and disrupts their conversation. The king fails to recognise Manu as she is dressed as a commoner, and orders her arrest. A group of eunuchs enters the prison and offers sweets to the guards. When the soldiers fall unconscious, Samar Singh rescues Manu and helps her hide in the kings chariot to reach the palace. Motibai informs a worried Moropant that Gangadhar Rao is on his way to meet Manu to perform the wedding ritual. Motibai offers to take Manus place and go through the rituals so that Manus absence is not noticed. A terrified Moropant agrees to Motibais plan. Motibai gets dressed as the bride and savours being treated like a queen. However, her happiness is short-lived when Manu marches in, much to the relief of Moropant and Tatya Guru.

The rituals get completed after Manu manages to reach the palace on time. Moropant orders Manu not to leave the palace until the wedding rituals are over. Fraser is surprised on learning that Samar Singh rescued Manu from prison. Motibai informs Gangadhar Rao that the person whom the king had sent to jail has escaped with the help of Samar Singh. Fraser reaches the palace and confirms the news. The British official provides further information to the King that Samar Singh plans to pray at the Durga temple later in the day. Gangadhar Rao decides that it is high time Samar Singh is punished for his wrongdoings.

Meanwhile, during the ritual of applying turmeric paste before the wedding, the king leaves it midway and decides to kill Samar Singh. Motibai is happy, while Manu is shocked.

Acting on the information that Samar Singh will arrive at the Durga temple, the British surround the place of worship However, they do not intend to kill the bandit as they have a different plan. When Gangadhar Rao arrives at the temple with the intention of punishing Samar Singh, a fight ensues between Samar Singh and him. However, Samar Singh only defends himself because he considers Manu his sister. The British capture Samar Singh deftly and replace him with one of their own swordsman disguised as the bandit. Gangadhar Rao fails to realise the British conspiracy. When Manu learns about the British treachery, she decides to rush to the temple.

The fight between Gangadhar Rao and the man impersonating Samar Singh gets interrupted by a huge explosion. When the dust settles, Gangadhar Rao spots a letter. On reading it, Gangadhar Rao learns that his opponent is not Samar Singh and that the British conspired to kill him. Before Gangadhar Rao can finish reading the letter, Samar Singhs impersonator is fatally shot. Meanwhile, Manu manages to escape with an unconscious Samar Singh. However, the British soldiers are hot on her pursuit. Aware that Manu is not in the palace, Motibai tries to put her into trouble. She tries to inform Moropant about Manus absence. However, Prachi prevents Motibai from meeting Moropant. Gangadhar Rao tells Raghunath that Samar Singh maintained a defensive approach throughout the fight. When Fraser learns that Manu has rescued Samar Singh, he orders a curfew in the entire area to prevent Manu from entering the fort. Manu tries to enter the fort with a group of women but the British surround the group.

Manu tells the British officers that if they force the women to lift their veils, she will complain to the king and accuse the officers of outraging their modesty. The women are allowed to proceed without being checked. Meanwhile, Motibai tries her best to make Gangadhar see that the girl participating in the prayers is not Manu. But when the bride lifts her veil after the prayers, it is indeed Manu. Motibai walks away in a huff. Gangadhar informs Manu that he has captured the bandit who had attacked her but is unable to punish him. Manu replies that because Samar Singh is repentant, forgiving him would be righteous. Manus answer pleases Gangadhar and he appreciates her wisdom.

Motibai mocks Fraser for not being able to catch Manu. Fraser informs Motibai that if his plan had been successful, then both Samar Singh as well as Gangadhar Rao would have been dead. Motibai is shocked to learn that Fraser was planning to kill Gangadhar Rao. Meanwhile, Gangadhar Rao orders Fraser to find Samar Singh but alive. Manu informs Tatya Guru that some people from the palace are supporting the British but she vows to save Jhansi. Fraser is furious after he finds out that Motibai has refused to meet him. When Motibai eventually does visit Fraser, he gives her a gun and asks her to kill Gangadhar Rao.

Fraser threatens to tell the truth about Motibai to Gangadhar Rao if she does not kill the king. Motibai is extremely worried because of her love for the king. During the mehendi ceremony (Application of the henna mixture), Manu recollects an incident which took place during Indus marriage where, the alphabet G was accidentally drawn on her hand, and she was told that she might get married to a person whose name starts with that letter. Later in the episode, Motibai is informed to get ready as Gangadhar Rao wants her to dance in front of Moghal Khan.

Motibai decides to stage a play of the legendary love story of Nala and Damayanti, along with her dance performance. After getting Gangadhar Raos consent, she informs Fraser about it. Fraser finds her idea absurd but Motibai lies to him that she plans to kill Gangadhar Rao in the play. Motibai also invites Manu for the event. Later in the day, Indu applies henna on Gangadhar Raos hand and insists that she will write Manus entire name on his hand. Motibai witnesses the incident and falls on the king, thereby wiping away Manikarnikas name from his hand. Manu, who witnesses the entire scene, is worried.

A girl named, Chimna, longs to see the future Queen of Jhansi and is delighted when she gets a chance to touch Manus hand. Motibai requests Manu to be part of her play, where Motibai would play the latters role. Meanwhile, after completing a religious ritual, Gangadhar Rao reminds Fraser to arrest Samar Singh as soon as possible. Samar Singh, dressed as a mendicant, meets Manu and reveals to her that Fraser and Motibai are conspiring again to create problems in Jhansi. Manu decides to find out what the conspiracy is all about.

Motibai bribes the priest to solemnise Nala and Damayantis wedding in the play in such a way that she would be married to Gangadhar, and no one would be able to challenge its sanctity! Chimna overhears and decides to inform Manu. Meanwhile, Motibai requests Gangadhar Rao to play the role of Nala in the play. Gangadhar Rao agrees because everyone requests him. Manu voices her concern about Motibais ulterior motive in inviting her to the play. Jankibai, Lacho and Sakhubai inform Moropant that Gangadhar Rao has organised a musical function where Motibai would present a special performance. They say that they wish to dress up Manu for the event, much to her disapproval. Chimna manages to enter the musical programme secretly. Motibai dances before the king and others, and collapses while shes dancing. She confesses to Manu about her unbridled love for Gangadhar Rao.

Fraser tells Lacho that he does not trust Motibai, so hands her a gun and asks her to shoot Gangadhar during the course of the play. Manu tends to Motibai who is unwell. Once she comes around, Motibai says that she must concentrate on her play the next day. Indu warns Manu not to be so kind to Motibai. Manu is unable to fathom the ulterior conspiracy behind the play. Motibai tells the priest her plan of action during the play. Chimna, dressed as a boy, is shocked to see Motibai in the palace. She hides in the storeroom and gets locked. Gangadhar warns Fraser to arrest Samar Singh before his marriage. Lacho tells Ali Bahadur about her plan to kill Gangadhar, and about Frasers support for her. Samar Singh, hiding in the other room, decides that he must find out about Frasers conspiracy. A jubilant Fraser presents Samar Singh in Gangadhar Raos court. Tatya Guru informs Manu about Samars arrest, and this gets Manu worried.

Gangadhar demands to know from Samar Singh why he didnt fight with him, and why he had freed the person from prison, but Samar Singh does not answer. Samar Singh recalls how he had surrendered to Fraser and been warned not to tell Gangadhar the truth because Manu would be in trouble then. Gangadhar wants Samar Singh arrested but cannot as it is against the British law. Manu vows to free Samar Singh. She asks Tatya Guru to do the needful because she cannot go anywhere. Meanwhile, Lacho tells her son, Ali Bahadur, that she will kill the king during the play. Chimna finally manages to escape and meets Manu to inform her about Motibai engaging a priest to solemnise her wedding with Gangadhar. She says that the staging of the drama is a part of the plan because Motibai intends to marry Gangadhar Rao during the play.

Motibai and Gangadhar Rao rehearse their lines for the play. The King is impressed with Motibais acting. Meanwhile, Manu vows that she would not let Motibai succeed in her plan. Tatya Guru warns Fraser not to challenge Queen Manikarnika. He threatens Fraser of dire consequence if he continues to torture Samar Singh. Later, Fraser asks Samar Singh why Manu wants to save him but he remains silent. When Manu prays in front of the Goddess for strength, the sword on the deity falls. Manu drags Motibai to Gangadhars court and exposes the courtesan in front of him and the assembly. She says that Motibai was an accomplice of the British and had plotted with them to kill Gangadhar. A furious Gangadhar Rao orders his men to imprison Motibai, and sentences her to death.

Motibai is hanged to death. Manu comes back to reality with a jolt. She keeps the sword back near the deity and says that she will find another way to punish Motibai but would never take her life. Samar Singh lures a jail guard with hidden treasure and seeks his help in escaping from prison. Fraser tests Lachos archery skills and warns her that if she fails to kill the king and gets caught, then she would stand to lose her son. Samar Singh dressed as an English officer overhears this. Moropant refuses to let Manu watch the play, so she gets very worried. Jankibai and Indu are given flowers to be showered on Motibai and Gangadhar at the end of the play but they are not pleased about it. Sakaram comes to Jhansi and gives Moropant the gifts sent by Bajirao. Meanwhile, Lacho conceals the poisonous arrow in a musical instrument. The play begins and the entire hall is packed with court officials. Motibai vows that only she will be Gangadhars wife and the Queen of Jhansi.

Moropant takes Manu away to meet Sakaram. Sakaram shows her the gifts that Bajirao has sent for her. Samar Singh disguised as one of the gift bearers informs Manu that Lacho has once again conspired with Fraser to kill the king during the course of the play. A worried Manu informs Tatya Guru about Lachos plan to kill the king, and about Motibais plot to turn the drama into a reality! Tatya Guru goes searching for Lacho. Motibai picks a poison bottle and vows that history will remember how a courtesan died in the arms of her loved one after marrying him, and how only she will be known as the Queen of Jhansi. As per the legendary tale of Nala-Damayanti, in the final scene of the play, Gangadhar appears as Nala in nine different forms. Lacho aims her arrow but is unsure who the real king is, so she waits for Damayanti to garland her loved one. Meanwhile, a maid sees Motibai lying unconscious.

During the play, Manu takes over Motibais character. Manu risks her life and saves Gangadhar from the arrow shot by Lacho. Everyone thinks that it is Motibai who has protected Gangadhar. Even Gangadhar thinks that it was Motibai who saved him as Manu manages to get away. Lacho is caught red-handed by Tatya Tope who gets her before Gangadhar. Everyone is shocked. Ali Bahadur pretends to get angry and assaults Lacho. Gangadhar orders Lachos arrest. Gangadhar praises Motibai and rewards her.

Moropant is shocked when he learns that Manu saved Gangadhar Rao. Gangadhar is shocked that Lacho conspired to kill him. He asks Lacho who the brain behind this conspiracy is. Lacho does not tell him anything. Jankibai tries to point out to Gangadhar that from the time he decided to marry Manu, his life has been in danger. Motibai is worried that Lacho might name her as a conspirator. Manu sends a letter to Gangadhar Rao praising Motibai and her bravery. Motibai feels guilty.

Gangadhar tells Motibai that Manu has praised her act of bravery. Motibai breathes a sigh of relief. Fraser is angry at Ali Bahadur as he has failed to get Lacho out of jail. Fraser is worried that Lacho might reveal his involvement in the conspiracy. Motibai wonders why Manu didnt tell Gangadhar the truth. Manu tells her that she is impressed with Motibais love for Gangadhar Rao. Motibai decides to teach Fraser a lesson. She attacks him but gets overpowered. Manu arrives there at the nick of time and saves Motibai from Fraser. Fraser turns the tables on Manu and is about to shoot Manu.

Fraser is about to shoot Manu, but Tatya Tope rescues her. Fraser is surrounded by the Nari Sena (Womens Army) and Samar. Manu warns Fraser that if he does not mend his ways, he will be taught a lesson. Motibai is moved by Manus gesture. She whips herself as repentance for her deeds. Manu feels sorry for Motibai when she comes to know of how Motibai has punished herself. She worries that Motibai may try to harm herself. Motibai is very dejected and tries to commit suicide. Khudabaksh saves her.

Motibai apologises to Manu for trying to harm her. Manu tells Motibai that she is still like her elder sister. Motibai pledges her undying support to Manu. Gangadhar asks Lacho who hatched the conspiracy to kill him; Lacho denies that anyone has helped her. Aaishri comes back from her self-imposed exile. Gangadhar shows Lacho bloodstained clothes of Ali. Lacho is shocked and tells Gangadhar about Fraser. But Ali Bahadur is not dead; it was a ploy used by Gangadhar to know the truth. Gangadhar banishes Lacho and Ali from Jhansi as punishment. Gangadhar Rao tells Fraser that he knows who the conspirator is but still tells him that he is in charge of the security of the future Queen of Jhansi.

Motibai and the other girls apply Uptan (turmeric paste) in the prenuptial ceremony. Manu and the girls are having fun when Aaishri visits Manu. Manu throws some turmeric on Aaishri. Manu apologises to Aaishri and so does Moropant. Manu offers her mothers collection of hymns to Aaishri as her first gift. Gangadhar asks Aaishri about Manu. Aaishri tells Gangadhar that she approves of Manu. Moropant is worried that Aaishri is angry with Manu. But Tatya Dixit tells Moropant that Aaishri has approved of Manu. Fraser decides to create unrest in Jhansi by causing a riot amongst the higher and lower castes. Fraser tells Jankibai that the Shudras (lower caste) are impersonating Brahmins (higher caste). Moropant is worried as the priest from Bithur is not able to come. Jankibai decides to use a lower caste person to solemnise Gangadhars wedding. She tells Fraser about her plan and how Aaishri will not allow the wedding to happen when she comes to know of this.

The wedding preparations are in full swing. Manu remembers her mother and gets emotional. Motibai tells her that she will always stand by Manu as an elder sister. Moropant gets gifts for Gangadhars mother as per tradition. Gangadhar tells him that Aaishri is like a mother to him. Moropant invites her to the traditional wedding meal. Jankibai tries to instigate Aaishri by pointing out that the priest for the wedding has not yet come. Aashri gets angry and leaves the meal. Gangadhar and Manikarnika get ready for the wedding ceremony.

Gangadhar and Manu get ready for the wedding ceremony. Moropant is worried that the priest has not yet arrived. Tatya Tope assures him that he will get the priest. Moropant is moved when he sees his daughter, Manu, dressed as a bride. Motibai wants to leave because a courtesan cannot attend the wedding but Manu tells her that she has to attend the wedding as an elder sister. Jankibai assures Moropant that she will get the priest to the temple. Manu tells Tatya Tope that she is waiting for Samar Singh. Fraser tells his soldiers to keep an eye for Samar. Samar arrives and Manu leaves for the temple.

Manu and Gangadhar leave for the temple for the wedding ceremony. Janki sends her man dressed as a priest to solemnise the royal wedding. Manu is very happy that Samar has managed to come. He tells Manu that Motibai helped him. Fraser wants to nab Samar, but Samar manages to escape. Motibai and Manu are worried as the priest has not yet arrived. Moropant is worried too. Aaishri is not pleased as the rituals have not yet begun. At that moment, the man whom Janki has planted as the priest arrives.

Sleeman tells Fraser that he wants to meet Gangadhar in his court immediately. Sleeman arrives in court to meet Gangadhar Rao. Gangadhar Rao accepts the terms of the treaty on the condition that he is given the sole rights of administration to the Kingdom of Jhansi. Gangadhar Rao is declared the King of Jhansi with all administrative rights. The ministers congratulate Gangadhar and sing praises about the good fortune that Manikarnika has brought. Gangadhar Rao and Manu perform the post wedding rituals. Gangadhar has to rename his new bride. He tells the priest that he will declare the name in court. Manu wants to meet Moropant, but Aaishri refuses. Gangadhar, himself, goes to invite Moropant to Manus renaming ceremony. He expresses his happiness that Manikarnika has brought him good fortune. Sleeman tells Sakhubai and Jankibai that Gangadhar will have trouble repaying the loan. It will then be easy for Sakhubai to become the Queen of Jhansi. Laxmibai overhears Aaishri blessing Gangadhar Rao as he leaves. She also hears Aaishri telling her servant how she was successful in separating Manu and Gangadhar. Gangadhar tells Moropant to stay back in Jhansi. Jankibai tells Aaishri that Moropant and his family have been asked to stay back at Jhansi. Aaishri does not like this and insults Moropant indirectly. She tells him that he should live at Durgabai Wada and not in the palace. Aaishri gets very angry when she finds Laxmibai practicing sword fight with the traditional sword of Nevalkar dynasty. Marshall reads the British Governors reply to Laxmibais letter. The Governor reduces the loan amount. The whole court rejoices with Gangadhar. Gangadhar tells Laxmibai that he is pleased that the Governor has reduced the loan and that the whole court is waiting to praise her. Laxmibai tells Gangadhar that she wants him as her husband for a day, not as a king. Laxmibai is honoured in the court. Gangadhar also reinstates Bhopatkar. He then announces a day off for the court as he wants to spend it as the husband of Queen Laxmibai. Laxmibai asks Motibai about the likes and dislikes of Gangadhar Rao. Motibai tells Laxmibai that Gangadhar loves roses and eating Paan (betel leaf). It is announced that Samar Singh will be publically hanged. Gangadhar is amazed to know that Laxmibai is an expert in sword fighting. Gangadhar and Laxmibai are happy in each others company. Meanwhile, Marshall leads Samar Singh to be hanged publically.

Laxmibai and Gangadhar disguise themselves as common people and enjoy. Gangadhars minister tries to stop Marshall from hanging Samar. Gangadhar and Laxmibai come to know that Samar Singh is being hanged by the British. Gangadhar saves Samar Singh. Gangadhar wants Samar Sing to be taken in his custody but Marshall refuses. Gangadhar orders his soldiers to take Samar Singh in their custody. Marshall swears to himself that he will kill Laxmibai. Laxmibai secretly meets Samar in the prison and tells him to speak the truth. In the court, Samar Singh is accused of plotting to kill Gangadhar in the blast. Laxmibai intervenes and points out that the charges against Samar should be proved, and only then can he be punished. Samar tells Gangadhar that he has left the path of crime and the one who showed him the path of righteousness was Queen Laxmibai. Samar Singh tells Gangadhar that he was arrested by Marshalls men a day prior to the flag game. Marshall tries to turn the tables on Samar Singh by asking him what he was doing in Jhansi jail. Samar Singh tells Gangadhar that he had gone to free Kranti Guru. Marshall tells Gangadhar to ask Kranti Guru to testify in the court. She decides that exposing Kranti Guru will throw a bad light on Gangadhar as a ruler. Marshall decides to free Samar Singh from Gangadhars jail and blame it on Kranti Guru. Laxmibai meets Samar Singh and tells him not to give up so easily. Laxmibai tells Samar that she will never let him or Gangadhar down. Gangadhar is shocked to know that there was an explosion in his jail and that Samar Singh has escaped. He is very angry to know that Kranti Guru has claimed the responsibility of the explosion. Laxmibai is stunned when Gangadhar tells her that Kranti Guru has helped Samar Singh escape. Laxmibai visits the jail and is moved to see so many dead prisoners and soldiers. She also finds a British badge which was deliberately planted by Marshall. Laxmibai vows to teach Marshall a lesson. Moropant tries to dissuade Laxmibai from going to the court as Kranti Guru. Even Motibai tells her that the people of Jhansi need a revolutionary like Kranti Guru. But Laxmibai is firm in her decision. Marshall is happy that Kranti Guru will finally be destroyed. Everyone prays for a miracle which will save Laxmibai. Laxmibai meets Gangadhar and tries to talk about Kranti Gurus appearance in the court. Gangadhar tells her that he does not believe that Kranti Guru will appear in court and that if she does, she will be severely punished. The lookalike is scared thinking about the consequence if Gangadhar catches her lie. However, a lady in hiding asks her to continue with the lie. Tatya Guru, Indu and Prachi come to Jhansi to meet Manu but when the lookalike brushes off Prachi, the latter declares that she isn't Manu! Motibai regains consciousness and informs everyone that the lookalike is Jhalkari. She narrates how she had seen Jhalkari on the way to her prayers. Motibai had decided to bring her to the palace and keep her as the Queen of Jhansi to save Laxmibai's marriage. Moropant informs Tatya Guru, that even he had helped Motibai but hadn't informed Manu. Motibai then tells Tatya Guru how she had received a letter that said Jhalkari's father wanted to meet her but on the way, she had got hit on the head. Meanwhile, Kranti Guru reaches the building and decides to follow Marshall to know about Samar Singh's whereabouts.

Marshall kills his soldier who had betrayed him in Gangadhar's court and vows to find Kranti Guru. Marshalls men dress as civilians to trace her. Motibai apologises to Laxmibai for getting Jhalkari to the palace. However, she says that her intentions were noble. Motibai had come to Jhalakri's house and requested her father to allow Jhalkari to impersonate the Queen of Jhansi for a while. Lacho and her son who were hiding had later threatened Jhalkari to be the queen if she wanted to protect her family. Shivram invites Gangadhar and Aaishri for his daughter Chimnabais wedding with Moropant. Tatya Guru threatens Jhalkari to reveal the name of the person at whose behest she was continuing with the act, but Aaishri walks in just then. Later, when Aaishri sees Motibai in the palace, she reminds Motibai that courtesans are not allowed in the palace.

Sakhubai threatens Jhalkari to listen to her, or her family would be in deep trouble. When Jhalkari voices her worries to Sakhubai, she replies that none can enter the Commissionerate. She reveals that Jhalkari would mix explosives during the prayers and hand it to the king. When Gangadhar would offer it in the fire, the ensuing explosion would kill him. Sakhubai wonders how Jhalkari still has the scar and wipes her face. She gets a shock of her life when she realises that it is not Jhalkari but the queen! Laxmibai escapes. Meanwhile, Gangadhar's hand gets accidentally burnt, so Jankibai displays a lot of concern. Seeing this, Jhalkari confides the truth to Jankibai about her identity and about Sakhubai and Lachos ploy to kill Gangadhar. However, Jhalkari is stunned when she realises that even Jankibai is supportive of Lacho and Sakhubais plan. Kranti Guru and Tatya Guru fight the men in the Commissioners building.

Laxmibai and Tatya Guru free Jhalkari's father and brother. Jhalkari's father pleads with Laxmibai to free Jhalkari once, and they would leave Jhansi forever. Marshall is furious and says that they must have gone to Ganesha's temple. A worried Jhalkari goes to Aaishri and confides the truth to her. However, Jhalkari gets shocked to see that it is Lacho sitting in the guise of Aaishri! Lacho warns Jhalkari that she would kill her father and brother if she did not do as told. An upset Jhalkari finally decides not to worry about the consequence and tell the king the truth. She tries to expose her scar to him but Sakhubai covers her face. Meanwhile, Laxmibai meets Prachi and her other confidantes and says that she must reach the temple. The king waits for his queen to attend the religious ceremony but when Jhalkari heads towards him, she trips, and he holds her.

The king does not see the mark on her face and asks her to be careful. Nusrat informs Lacho that Kranti Guru had escaped with Jhalkaris father and brother. Marshall alerts his men dressed as civilians to keep a watch for Kranti Guru. Marshall spots Motibai with a girl and realises that she must be the Queen of Jhansi, so he chases them. Marshall and his men surround them but when he unveils the girls face, he sees that it isnt the queen. Meanwhile, at the religious ceremony, Jhalkari is asked to bring the offerings for the king. Jhalkari suggests to the king to ask the elders Sakhubai and Jankibai to make the offerings first so that the family is blessed. Sakhubai realises that the girl is Laxmibai, not Jhalkari. But the shrewd Sakhubai suggests that Aaishri is the eldest and most respected member of the family, so she must make the offerings. Aaishri agrees. A worried Laxmibai then takes a knife from nearby and holds it near the king. Aaishri sees this and is shocked.

Sakhubai and Jankibai make the offerings. An explosion ensues and they get burnt. Gangadhar thanks her for saving their lives once again. However, the king is worried about the mounting conspiracies against him. Indu is stunned to see two identical people. Laxmibai explains to her how Motibai had helped her go to the Ganesha temple, and how she had replaced Jhalkari to reach the ceremony. Jhalkari thanks Laxmibai and promises her that she is willing to do anything for her. Moropant too is happy to see his daughter back. A delighted Prachi informs Indu that she will celebrate her birthday with great splendour the next day. Laxmibai tells Gangadhar that untoward incidents in Jhansi have increased from the time Marshall has assumed office. Laxmibai goes to Sakhubai and Jankibai to warn them that if they ever think of harming Gangadhar again, then she would kill them. Aaishri overhears.

Laxmibai covers up by telling Aaishri that she would kill those who would conspire against the king. Gangadhar accuses Marshall of spreading terror in Jhansi and warns him that if such an act is repeated, then he would be thrown out of Jhansi. Nobody wishes Prachi on her birthday, so she is very disappointed. Prachi goes with a plea to the king that everyone who forgot her birthday be punished. However, Prachi is delighted when everybody surprises her with gifts. Meanwhile, at the Commissionerate, a British officer informs Marhsall that the villagers were drawing water from their private land. Having found a reason to needle Laxmibai again, Marshall shouts at the villagers and thrashes them. Just then, Kranti Guru arrives and drags Marshall. Both of them then have a sword fight, and Laxmibai wins. However, she gives Marshall a chance and asks him to leave Jhansi.

An injured Marshall comes to Gangadhars court and informs him that he would be leaving Jhansi for good. The villagers taunt Marshall for being a coward. Tatya Guru accompanies Marshall to make sure that he is out of Jhansis border. Meanwhile, the king gifts his queen a grand necklace, and she promises that she will have it removed only after her death. The painter at the palace sketches a portrait of the queen and king as well as that of Prachi. Moropant and Laxmibai are delighted and surprised to see Vahini Saheb grace the occasion of Moropants wedding. Aaishri taunts Vahini Saheb that Laxmibai was ignorant about the ways of a royal family, so she had to make great efforts to teach Laxmibai the same. Gangadhar insists that Vahini Saheb wait to till the Virat Mahotsav (A festival worshipping Goddess Durga). Moropant and Chimnabai get married. On the other hand, Marshall refuses to accept defeat and vows to destroy Jhansi.

When Laxmibai welcomes Vahini Saheb to the palace and washes her feet, Aaishri walks in and taunts Vahini Saheb that its not befitting on the Queen of Jhansi to indulge in something so belittling. Vahini Saheb retorts that it is a mark of respect for ones elders. Aaishri taunts Vahini Saheb that the norms of her family are far superior. Meanwhile, impressed with the portrait of the king and queen, Gangadhar rewards Sukhlal, the painter, handsomely. Prachi too flaunts her portrait but regrets that Manu is not with her in it. Gangadhar insists that Vahini Saheb stay back for the festivity of Goddess Durga. Gangadhar asks Laxmibai to do the honours of pulling the chariot of the goddess first. Sleeman is surprised to see Marshall back in Jhansi, so Marshall informs him about his plot to kill Laxmibai. While Laxmibai is pulling the rope, an accomplice of Marshall plants a bomb on the rope and lights its string. Marshall and Sleeman wait in anticipation for the bomb to explode.

Prachi complains to Laxmibai that she is unable to touch the rope, so Laxmibai gives her, her place. While Prachi is pulling the rope, she notices Marshall with his face covered and shouts out to Laxmibai. However, Laxmibai is unable to hear her amidst the noise and fanfare. The bomb detonates and Prachi is killed along with other people. Everybody is devastated with Prachis death. Preparations for Prachis last rites are on, and her foot and hand imprint is taken. Meanwhile, Marshall is furious that Laxmibai has escaped death once again. Sleeman suggests that he go underground for a few days to escape Laxmibais wrath. On the other hand, Gangadhar suddenly realises that Laxmibai is missing, so he personally goes to fetch her. When she does not open the door, Gangadhar orders that it be broken open. Aaishri sees a lifeless Laxmibai sitting and says that its important that she breaks down.

Vahini Saheb tries her to best to make Laxmibai cry and see Prachi for one last time but Laxmibai remains unmoved. Gangadhar and Aaishri too attempt to bring her out of her stupor but of no avail. Aaishri says that it was Gods will but a furious Vahini Saheb retorts that she does not believe in a God who snatched an innocent child away. Prachi is cremated, and an air of gloom descends on everyone. Bajirao and Nana Saheb attend the funeral. Gangadhar returns to Laxmibai and tells her the teachings of Lord Krishna about death. He suggests that she go and collect Prachi's ashes. Laxmibai visits the crematorium and vows that she would not immerse Prachi's ashes until she sought vengeance for Prachi's death.

Gangadhar orders his men to find the culprit of the heinous act immediately. Laxmibai refuses to give Prachis ashes to Vahini Saheb and declares that she would not immerse them until she brings justice for Prachi. Vahini Saheb begs Laxmibai to vent out her pain and cry. Laxmibai remains steadfast and refuses to give the ashes even to Bajjirao. Gangadhar promises Laxmibai to catch the culprit soon. When Sleeman comes to meet Gangadhar, the latter accuses Sleeman of looting them in the name of security. Sleeman retorts that internal security is not the concern of the British. It is announced that anyone who informs the king about the culprit would be awarded 5000 gold coins. Meanwhile, the other guards realise that their colleague, Lallan, knows how to make explosives and was not present on duty on the day of the blast. However, a scared Lallan clarifies that being a staunch devotee of the goddess; he had gone to attend the procession. Gangadhar, disguised as a guard, overhears.

The Prime Minister and Raghunath inform Gangadhar that they have found no lead yet. It is announced that the reward for any information about the blast has been increased from 5000 gold coins to 8000. Somebody in the crowd utters Lallans name. Just then, Marshall who is in disguise takes Lallan away. Lallan retorts that he will tell the king the truth, so Marshall gets angry. Gangadhar, disguised as a commoner, follows Lallan but loses track. A murder confirms Gangadhar's suspicion about a conspiracy. Gangadhar then sees something in Lallan's hand. On the other hand, Marshall sees one medal missing from his coat.

The Prime Minister informs Gangadhar that the medals for British officers are made by Jhansi's goldsmith, Samir Chandra. After Samir Chandra reads the initials on the medal, the Prime Minister says that it belongs to Marshall. Gangadhar asks the Prime Minister to give the 8000 gold coins to Lallan's wife. Gangadhar refrains from telling Laxmibai about Marshall for he fears she would ruin herself in flames of vengeance. A harried Sleeman denies that Marshall is in Jhansi despite being shown the medal by Gangadhar. A furious Sleeman orders Marshall to leave Jhansi immediately. Meanwhile, Lallan's wife is grateful for the gold coins, and thanks Laxmibai for being so understanding in spite of Lallan betraying her family at the behest of a British officer. When Laxmibai asks her who the officer was, Lallan's wife tells her that the British officer had one gold tooth. A shocked Laxmibai then recollects Prachi shouting out to her about Marshall at the procession.

The Prime Ministers spy informs the king that Marshall is in the Commissionerate and the British plan to take Marshall away from Jhansi at the earliest. Laxmibai tells the king that such criminals deserve a death penalty and requests him to grant her the right to punish the culprit. He assures her that he would bring the culprit to her soon. Laxmibai tells her maids that she wishes to bathe and purify herself before the king brings the culprit to her but says that she would wash her face only after Prachi has been given justice. Tatya Guru and Kranti Guru set out to kill Marshall, and are surprised to see Samar Singh join them. The three get ready to face the challenge of finishing off Marhsall.

Kranti Guru, Tatayguru and Samar aim their arrow to destroy the British ammunition but Gangadhar destroys it first. They are not able to see Gangadhar but join him in attacking the British. The officers get afraid seeing Kranti Gurus yellow flag. Kranti Guru, Tatayguru and Samar go to attack Marshall but get surrounded by the British soldiers. However, Gangadhar with his face covered comes to their rescue. A fierce battle ensues between the British soldiers and the four of them. Meanwhile, Sleeman brings the dead bodies of his soldiers to Gangadhar and demands justice. Raghunath reads Kranti Gurus letter that states she will punish Marshall within a day, and anybody who saves Marshall would meet with the same fate.

Marshall asks the security guards to leave from the church because he is sure that when he was not attacked during the night, nobody would so, during the day! The procession of the goddess is underway, and the king tells Aaishri that he is hoping it goes off well this time. Kranti Guru and her army vow to finish off Marshall. Marshall goes out of the church and is confronted by Kranti Guru. He shoots her but she is unharmed. Kranti Guru narrates how her army had changed the bullets from his pistol. She then aims a pistol at him.
