Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon present the first of two festive specials in which four celebrity teams design their dream robot with the help of an experienced engineer, then battle it out in the arena - where all the same rules apply for the celebrities as they face off against each other and the imposing house robots. Who will become the Celebrity Robot Wars champions? Olympic athletes the Brownlee brothers, DJ Scott Mills, space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock and sports presenter Suzi Perry help design their own fighting robots to battle it out in the bulletproof Robot Wars arena. Faced with the House Robots and some mystery pit hazards, they need to prove they have got what it takes to become the Robot Wars champion.

Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox, international football legend Robbie Savage, science and history presenter Neil Oliver and popstar Jordan from Rizzle Kicks help design their very own fighting robots and battle it out in the bulletproof Robot Wars arena. Faced with the House Robots and some all-mystery pit hazards, only the best will make it through to become the Robot Wars champion.

The UK's greatest robot fighters battle it out with the best teams from across the world in our bulletproof arena. This episode features former champions Apollo, Sabretooth, Terrorhurtz and Gabriel 2 taking on a true legend of Robot Wars - the highly flammable Diotoir. Making up the Rest of the World team are TMWHK from the Netherlands, Cobra from Belgium and Rabid M8 from Portugal. Who will reign supreme in this global battle?

The best teams in the UK take on the rest of the world in the second of our international specials. Reigning champions Eruption lead a team of some of the fiercest robots in the UK - Big Nipper, Concussion and Thor are all fighting for international glory. Their opposition are captained by Silicon Valley millionaire Michael Mauldin and robot Cathadh, alongside Terror Turtle from Canada, space rocket-launching Weber from Russia and the return of flame-throwing robot Bash from the Netherlands.
