The Sushi Pack see a movie on global warming. As soon as they arrive home, Wasabi turns up the heat and Tako, Ikura, Maguro, and Kani get angry at Wasabi because they're perishable. Wasabi leaves and meets the Hot Squad, who like things to be hot, hot, hot! Can the Sushi Pack stop the Squad's plan for turning the whole world into an oven?

Wasabi develops a craving for a new candy created by a boy named Sugar Jimmy and gets overweight. Kani and Ikura train him to make him lose the weight, while Tako and Maguro decide to give Sugar Jimmy and his sister sugar cindy a visit.

Tako becomes jealous because he doesn't receive a "crown" of his own, and as well as not being able to concentrate on the mission, he struggles to be honest about his feelings. The rest of the pack try and help him to finally tell the truth about his emotions, then they fight the villain together.
