1x1 - Episode 1

September 10, 1990

Japan's ambassador TANG TONG is assassinated by killers sent by his enemies. FEI YAT FAY arrests the killer with his wisdom. SHUN YU CHI HUNG is jealous, so he sends KUNG SUNG MU to take the killer away and claims that he has caught the killer in front of CHEUNG SHI. They try to arrest him but in vain. CHI HING steals the report of SO TO MA TIN's corpse from SUNG HIN. He knows that the key to the case is the dagger. To win KUK YI's appreciation, he orders his subordinate to take it away so as to make her innocent. However he is scolded by her. KAM MAO mistakes KUK YI as the one who has killed his father KAM PANG and wants to kill her. SUNG HIN tricks him away and saves her. KAM MAO smashes Sheung Yat Hin and arouses the attention of YAT FAY and CHI HUNG. YAT FAY investigates carefully and is suspicious of the relationship between KUK YI and KAM MAO. To find out where KAM PANG is, KUK YI tries to confuse CHI HUNG with her charms. She is allowed to enter the yamen where she finds KAM PANG being imprisoned. CHING CHING's life is endangered as her enemies attack. her. Fortunately YAT FAY arrives and CHING CHING is released. FEI LING turns to CHI HUNG and wants to attract him but she is ignored. Being so angry, she orders LEE BIU to kill him. However LEE BIU is killed. Feeling guilty, FEI LING repents of what she has done and decides to stay in a monastery. CHING CHING helps YAT FAY to investigate cases and mistakes LEE LUNG KAY as a trickster. After all the troubles are over, he admires her ability and they become sworn brother and sister. Later CHING CHING is astonished by LUNG KAY's real identity. LUNG KAY meets MA SHA and is shocked by her beauty. After hard struggle, they fall in love. Although CHI HUNG knows YAT FAY's attitude towards KUK YI, he does not give up and he determines to compete with YAT FAY.

YAT FAY and KUK YI's love has achieved a further development but suddenly KAM meets her and tells her the night-pearl has been hidden in the SHUN YU's house. She compels KUK YI to be good to CHI HUNG so as to get the night-pearl. For her country's sake, KUK YI agrees reluctantly and pretends to have accepted CHI HUNG. YAT FAY does not know the real fact and is upset. Queen WEI is informed that LUNG KAY is making friends with swordsmen. She is afraid that LUNG KAY will be a stumbling block to her plan. Therefore she sends CHIN HAK to beat him. As LUNG KAY does not want to arouse her attention, he pretends to have been frightened. YAT FAY wants to arrest CHIN HAK but he is poisoned. LUNG KAY' saves him, risking his own life. Moreover SUNG HIN is a talented doctor. Under their efforts, YAT FAY is saved and they become good friends. CHI HUNG requests KUK YI to marry him. September 18, 1990

Both YAT FAY and CHI HUNG are seriously hurt. CHI HUNG swears to take revenge. CHING. CHING is angry because she has lost YAT FAY. She rushes into the Drum House, causing chaos. She is kept in prison. YAT FAY investigates a case of homicide. The suspect CHEUNG SUK PING is arrested. However SUK PING deceives YAT FAY. Fortunately his act is disclosed by SUNG HIN. Therefore he is sentenced to death. SUK PING's wife MO LAN hates him much. KUK YI kidnaps TANG TONG and forces him to get the Pearl Scroll. As TANG TONG disappears suddenly, this makes the government nervous. Therefore YAT FAY and CHI HUNG are appointed to carry out investigation. CHI HUNG is puffed up with pride. YAT FAY has to bear it. TANH TONG manages to have hints behind and makes YAT FAY and CHI HUNG able to track him. CHI HUNG wants to get rid of YAT FAY. He orders TIN YING to trap him. Luckily YAT FAY is able to escape. After hard struggling, KUK YI finally gets the Pearl Scroll but it is taken away by TIN YING. Therefore she sends KAM PANG to get it back. YAT FAY follows TIN YING. After a serious fight, TIN YING is defeated. YAT FAY intentionally arranges CHI HUNG to take TANG TONG away. CHI HUNG discovers that his success in fact is abdicated by YAT FAY. He hates him even more, feeling being insulted. CHI HUNG goes to the palace to report his work and meets QUEEN WEI. QUEEN WEI admires him and forces him to have sex with her. FEI LING cannot tolerate the boring live of the monastery. CHI HUNG gets an idea and tries to win over her heart. YAT FAY interrupts. CHI HUNG makes use of the chance to spoil their relationship. He also persuades FEI LING to leave home and has sexual relationship with her.

September 20, 1990

After getting FEI LING, CHI HUNG abandons her and insults her in public. She is so angry that she wants to kill him. In chaotic conditions, FEI LING is killed accidentally. YAT FAY grieves over her death and beats CHI HUNG hard. MO LAN's living conditions become worse and is tortured by debtors. She is frustrated. Although SUNG HIN wants to help her, she rejects his kind act. Later as her daughter Mui is sick, SUNG HIN saves her in time and this changes her attitude towards him. CHING CHING's room-mate in prison is raped by guards. CHING CHING helps her to resist but she dies. CHING CHING is given a jade ornament. CHING CHING seeks help from CHI HUNG. On knowing she is LUNG KAY's sworn sister, he finds someone to take her charge so as to win LUNG KAY's trust. As she is set free, CHI HUNG pursues her, requesting her to marry him. To make YAT FAY jealous, CHING CHING agrees.

September 21, 1990

On CHI HUNG and CHING CHING's marriage day, CHING CHING faints Suddenly. After SUNG HIN's inspection, it is proved that she is pregnant. CHING CHING knows that it is YAT FAY's child. Therefore she wants to stay away from CHI HUNG and gives birth to the baby. CHI HUNG knows this and pretends that he does not mind and takes care of her. She is deeply impressed and promises to stay with him. CHI HUNG intentionally lets KUK YI know CHING CHING's having a baby. KUK YI is embarrassed and goes away so as to being them together. YAT FAY knows this and goes to visit CHING CHING. However CHING CHING pretends to be very intimate with CHI HUNG so as to make him angry. CHI HUNG sets ~raps to make CHING CHING miscarriage. TIN YING is poisoned to death. KUK YI loses all hints to find Por Chun Chi. KAM PANG decides to give up and goes to assassin CHUNG CHUNG. In despair, YAT FAY is upset. LUNG KAY encourages him to build up his confidence again but in vain. Later as he is attacked by his enemies, he finally manages to stand up again and drives them away and love between him and KUK YI is not affected. CHI HUNG expects that he will be appointed because of his relationship with LUNG KAY. However LUNG KAY knows that CHI HUNG has made CHING CHING miscarry. CHI HUNG tries to explain with excuses, making LUNG KAY have a better impression of him. KAM PANG assassins CHUNG CHUNG in a vain attempt and runs away. CHUNG CHUNG orders YAT FAY and CHI HUNG to arrest him and finds Por Chun Chi. KUK YI takes risk to save KAM,PANG. CHI HUNG suspects her and catches her. She is hurt and meets YAT FAY.

September 25, 1990

KUK YI begs YAT FAY to set her free. YAT FAY is in a dilemma. CHI HUNG arrives at the same time and arrests her. CHI HUNG escorts KUK YI to yamen. On the way, he is attacked by KAM who saves KUK YI. CHI HUNG makes complaint to CHEUNG SHI that YAT FAY is KUK YI's colleague and orders him to catch YAT FAY. YAT FAY does not resist and follows him to prison to wait for trial as he knows that he is innocent. LUNG KAY questions CHI HUNG for his unbearable .act but he shirks everything. LUNG KAY has no solution and leaves a dagger to YAT FAY. CHI HUNG goes to kill YAT FAY. But YAT FAY is so alert that he manages to escape. With the help of SUNG HIN and HA HAU POK, he secretly leaves Cheung On. YAT FAY goes to ask KUK YI to fact. However KUK YI cannot tell him the truth. YAT FAY conceals his identity and works in a mine. SUNG HIN tries to convince him to rebuild his confidence. YAT FAY is not convinced. CHI HUNG questions KUK YI by torture, wanting her to admit YAT FAY is her colleague. However KUK YI does not subdue. LUNG KAY defences for her and CHI HUNG stop questioning her. At this time, KAM saves her, replacing her. with a burnt corpse to receive CHI HUNG. SUNG HIN discovers the trick but he does not disclose it. KUK YI goes to see YAT FAY and they cannot control their feeling and he forgives her. However KUK YI bears so much responsibility and does not want him to get involved, she determines to leave. On leaving him, she convinces him to revive. YAT FAY promises her. YAT FAY takes up her work again. LUNG KAY organizes a feast and wants YAT FAY and CHI HUNG to reconcile. PRINCE LEE CHUNG CHUN wants to get rid of QUEEN WEI. Unfortunately, he is defeated and killed. QUEEN WEI sends LUNG KAY to kill all his subordinates. LUNG KAY determines to collect evidence so as to overthrow her. QUEEN WEI is assassinated but the assassin is killed by CHI HUNG. QUEEN WEI appreciated him and promises to appoint him as a general. CHI HUNG discovers that CHING CHING is impersonating QUEEN WEI's daughter but he keeps his mouth tight. CHI HAK is jealous, on seeing CHI HUNG being loved ardently by QUEEN WEI. So he backbites CHI HUNG as LUNG KAY's spy in front of QUEEN WEI. She wants to kill him. CHI HUNG threatens CHING CHING to save him. To keep her secret, she has to prove him as innocent. CHI HUNG discovers CHIN HAK is the one who kills CHUNG CHUNG. He kills him and declares his work to QUEEN‧ WEI. She knows his aggressiveness and imprisons him.… ...

On YAT FAY's prosecution day, LUNG KAY and the others rush to save him. In chaotic conditions, KUK YI turns up and saves him. YAT FAY is very depressed as he cannot walk. KUK YI gets ‧SUNG HIN to cure him. KAM does not want to see KUK YI forgetting her duty. Therefore she wants to kill him. Being threatened, KUK YI promises to leave with her unwillingly and never to see YAT FAY again. KAM agrees to release him. YAT FAY loses all his talent of martial arts as he‧ is paralysed. When his former enemies see him, they insult him. CHING CHING is sad when she sees this. She wants to sacrifice her own feet so that SUNG HIN can cure him. CHI HUNG is following LUNG KAY and finds YAT FAY. As he wants to kill him, unexpectedly YAT FAY can move and defeats him. So he escapes in a panic. YAT FAY is deeply impressed by CHING CHING when he knows what he has devoted.

October 2, 1990

YAT FAY takes care of CHING CHING whole-heartedly. CHING CHING enjoys it. KUK YI arrives suddenly and this frightens CHING CHING who worries that YAT FAY will go back to her again. KUK YI understands her feeling and leaves silently. LEE DAN is afraid that QUEEN WEI will kill him one day. He is tortured emotionally and wants to commit suicide to get being released. LUNG KAY stops him and successfully persuades him to repel QUEEN WEI with him. KUK YI gets the golden leg protectors and asks SUNG HIN to bring them to CHING CHING to help her walk again. CHI HUNG knows that SUNG HIN has evidence to prove QUEEN WEI's poisoning CHUNG CHUNG. He wants to kill him to hide the secret. SUNG HIN is poisoned and seriously injured. Although YAT FAY saves him, MO LAN and her daughter are killed. SUNG HIN is grievous. QUEEN WEI wants to come to the throne, LUNG KAY rebels and starts the war.

KUK YI wants to find CHI HUNG out in the gang but she cannot identify him as he has destroyed his facial appearance. TAT YA finds a man who looks like LUNG KAY. To overthrown the country, KUK YI determines to replace LUNG KAY with him. CHI HUNG discovers that KUK YI and her colleagues are the people of Kao Cheong. He has another plan and sets a trap to arouse conflicts between KAM and KAM PANG. KAM leaves the gang and after this KAM PANG is killed by him and he also blames KAM as the killer. He also claims that KAM PANG has adopted him and appointed him the general after him. LUNG KAY orders YAT FAY to catch KUK YI. However KUK YI actively goes to see YAT FAY and tells him the truth. LUNG KAY"s subordinates follow him and arrives but KUK YI manages to escape. TAT YA plays tricks on CHI HUNG, making him to reveal his real identity but TAT YA is killed by him.

CHI HUNG beats KUK YI and imprisons her. He controls the Gang of Ghosts and sends forged LUNG KAY to lead LUNG KAY to Lau Lay Palace. When he wants to kill LUNG KAY, YAT FAY arrives, causing chaos. CHI HUNG kills the forged one. This makes YAT FAY able to recognize him and want to revenge. CHI HUNG wants to use KUK YI to coerce YAT FAY but fails. YAT FAY takes the chance to beat him down the cliff. CHI HUNG does not die. He finds Por Chun Chi there. However he is trapped in the valley. LUNG KAY sends troops to attack the Gang of Ghosts. SIU SIN dies and KUK YI swears to make LUNG KAY to pay for it. Several years later, LUNG KAY becomes the emperor. KUK YI kidnappers the prince, hoping to kill him. LUNG KAY promises to rebuild Kao Cheong for KUK YI. KUK YI is excited and releases the prince. However LUNG KAY does not keep his promise. Instead he sends his army to attack KUK YI.
