Mary arrives at the hospital. Paul tells her he called Cassandra and asked her to meet him. She was happy. He saw her getting out of a cab and being hit by a car. Paul adds he was about to propose to Cassandra. Brad, John and Victor have a meeting. Later, Ashley tells John and Victor that Cassandra is in critical condition. Victor goes to the hospital. The surgeon appears. He tells Paul he's sorry. They did all they could to save Cassandra, to no avail. Paul cries in his mother's arms. Nina finds out that David lied about his job. Cricket is doing a search about a woman named Rebecca. She finds out an article of that woman and David. Later, she shared the news with Danny.

After Victor's departure, Lynne appears at the hospital to support Paul. She also tells him that Lauren is about to deliver. Paul enters Lauren's room. She asks him to stay. Christine calls Nina. She says she and Danny are in a plane flying back to Genoacity. She wants Nina to get out of her apartment immediately and meet them later. Nina agrees, but instead, she's waiting for David with a gun in her hands. Victor tells Jill and Jack that Cassandra died. Ashley tells Brad the same news.

At the doctor's request, Paul left Lauren's hospital room. Lynne's there. She brought something to eat for him. Soon, a nurse appears and tells Paul he can go back to Mrs Fenmore's room. Nick calls his father to wish him an happy birthday. at sheila's request, Molly tells Scott there's a big storm in Michigan so Sheila was stuck there and had her baby. She's asleep now but will call him as soon as she wakes up. Later, sheila tells Scott they have a son. Lauren is headed to the delivery room. Nina tells David all she's learned about him. He asks her for one million dollars to get out of her life. She shoots him five times. Then, she calls Katherine to ask her to get Phillip ready; she'll get him tonight. When she arrives at the Chancellor Estate, Katherine says Phillip is sleeping. she offers Nina to spend the night here. Nina agrees. Danny and Cricket find David unconscious and a gun next to him. Cricket calls 911.

Paul briefly talks to Lynne; he gave Lauren and her baby a moment alone. Lynne gave Paul the newspaper announcing Cassandra's death. Danny and Cricket are questioned by the police; They say they don't know where Nina and her son are. Jill's upset when she finds out Nina left Phillip at Chancellor Estate instead of her place. After Nina left with her son, Jill and Katherine agree that something is wrong with Nina. Lauren introduces her baby to Paul. Later, Sheila switches Lauren's son with another baby.

Nina is booked for attempted murder. Paul and Brad argue. Later, back at his office, Paul is told that he is Cassandra's heir. Cricket and Danny are taking care of Philip. After learning that Nina got arrested, Katherine and Jill come and want to take the baby. They finally decide that Jill and Philip will move in with Katherine at the Chancellor estate.

Drucilla would like Olivia and Neil to Date, so she would keep Nathan for herself. Paul tells Mary he is Cassandra's heir. He wants to buy a house for his parents. Nikki is suffering so much she decides to have surgery.

Jill offers Paul to run Ray-Tech with him. Victoria is upset by her parents' divorce and new spouses. Nikki tells Jack she agrees to have surgery.

Nina is denied bail. Cricket and John Silva visit David in the hospital. They're told David is in critical condition, but wants to live. Soon after they left his bedroom, David opens his eyes. Victoria tells her roommate she's leaving tomorrow. Victor tells Nikki and Ashley that Victoria is coming back. Brad learns that Paul is Cassandra"s heir. Paul and Mary talk about the house he wants to buy for his parents.

Leanna asks Paul to appear on her show. Danny tells Cricket everything he learned from Diane. David fakes being paralyzed. Lauren questions the labor nurse about her son's birthmark that mysteriously vanished. Later, she tells Paul she'll name her son Dylan. Mitchell Sherman tells Brad that the judge had a heart attack before making his and Cassandra's divorce official. So, Brad was still married to Cassandra when she died. Sheila and Scott spend time with their baby.
