But when the man finally sees he will be caught, he takes the two women as hostages and flees.

Rupert believes that his competitor Meyer is the culprit. Meyer tries to extort him in order to get Rupert's club. Nick and Sylvie begin to investigate.

A colleague of hers was murdered after receiving phone calls from a man calling himself Steven, and now that Steven is calling her, she is afraid for her life. Because he looks "like hell in fishnet stockings", Nick sends Sylvie undercover at the telephone line, while he sets about finding Steven.
