1x1 - Episode 1

July 19, 2004

CHUNG and LING (self-named the TWIN DRAGONS) are orphans. They support each other like brothers. By chance, they find the most sought-after book of the Martial Realm – the Immortality Routine, which is the vital key to the Yeung Treasure Trove where the Grand Wizard Relic lies. It is believed that an unbeatable Martial Arts routine is hidden inside the relic. CHUNG meets General LI YUEN’s daughter LI SAU NING and is attracted to her. The Right General of the Imperial Guards YUEMAN FA KAP is determined to get the Immortality Routine to please the emperor YEUNG KWONG. When FA learns that the TWIN DRAGONS have it, he sends assassins to kill them. KWONG tries to invade Korea many times, causing suffering amongst the citizens. Korean assassin FU KWAN CHEUK repeatedly tries to assassinate KWONG, but fails each time. FA is assigned to catch her. The Immortality Routine originally belonged to CHEUK.… ...

Eventually, CHEUK finds the TWIN DRAGONS. She learns that they are suitable to practice the Inner Force in the Immortality Routine by chance. She forces them to learn it and tells them the secret inside the Routine. Although they would like to learn it, they worry that it will bring bad consequences. They hesitate and leave her. The TWIN DRAGONS meet NING on their travels. She introduces them to General SUNG KUET’s daughter SUNG YUK CHI. CHI is a tomboy and argues with CHUNG constantly. FA’s assassins nearly kill the TWIN DRAGONS, but CHEUK saves them in time. In order to escape FA, the TWIN DRAGONS agree to learn the Immortality Routine. They use each other at first. But after staying together for a while, they start to care for each other. The TWIN DRAGONS even call CHEUK “mother”.

July 21, 2004

The TWIN DRAGONS want to borrow a boat from NING to escape FA. By chance, they learn that someone wants to ambush NING. CHAI SHIU is rich from running his family mining business. He is in alliance with the Li Clan. SHIU has loved NING for a long time. In order to please her, he holds a banquet and invites the villagers to celebrate her birthday. FA fears that if SHIU marries NING, the Li Clan will become even more powerful. Therefore, he hires the Sea Sand Clique leader YAM SIU MING, who has a bad reputation, to ambush NING. NING is hurt, but the TWIN DRAGONS save her. They explain their reason for being there to NING. They cross the river with CHEUK, NING and CHI using a ferry borrowed from CHI’s brother SUNG SZE TO. FA and the Sea Sand Clique gang pursue them. CHEUK wants to protect the TWIN DRAGONS, and so asks them to leave with CHI and NING. Suddenly, an undersea eruption sinks all the boats.

CHEUK and FA drift to an island. She is seriously injured. FA agrees to have an ultimate fight with her only after she is fully recovered. He greatly admires her, but has to oppose her to stop her from assassinating KWONG. Although he deliberately stopped short of killing her in previous fights, she is unmoved. The TWIN DRAGONS finds a piece of CHEUK’s torn clothing and assume that she is dead. They swear to kill FA in revenge. CHEUK falls down a cliff when she is fighting FA. FA is distraught, thinking that she is dead. The TWIN DRAGONS find CHEUK, who is dying. They leave the island with her to get help. Before she dies, she teaches them some sword routines to match with the inner force of the Immortality Routine. She urges them to use the Routine to benefit others and they agree in tears. MING captures the TWIN DRAGONS for the Immortality Routine. A siren WAN WAN of the Femina Clique saves them.… ...

WAN appreciates LING’s kindness after staying with him for a while. Because they bear the Immortality Routine, the TWIN DRAGONS are hunted by the Heterodox Realm. WAN is in an awkward situation. Whenever she tries to harm the TWIN DRAGONS, they are always saved by Mercy Retreat’s SZE FEI HUEN of the Orthodox Realm. LING falls in love with HUEN at first sight. The TWIN DRAGONS suggest going with her in order to protect the Immortality Routine, but she refuses. She agrees to teach them the Flying Art though. WAN sends some sirens to hunt for the TWIN DRAGONS; luckily NING’s brother LI SAI MAN leads the Black Armour Knights to save them. MAN and NING headhunt talented people for the Li Clan. MAN invites the TWIN DRAGONS to join them, but they refuse, as they only want to kill FA to avenge CHEUK’s death. FA keeps CHEUK’s sword and misses her. The TWIN DRAGONS challenge FA and he agrees to fight with them.

1x6 - Episode 6

July 26, 2004

The TWIN DRAGONS fail to kill FA and are pursued by his army. They remember MAN’s advice that they will be safe if they reach the peace zone at the White Water River. MAN saves them. FA tells KWONG that the Li Clan has hidden the TWIN DRAGONS and the Immortality Routine. KWONG demands a heavy tax duty to punish them. Among the four siblings, MAN and NING get on very well. MAN knows that CHUNG loves NING. But she only sees him as someone who will help her family in battle. In order to thank the LIs, the TWIN DRAGONS agree to work for the Li Clan. On the way back to the LI’s ground, CHI suggests visiting the Esquire L’amore HAU HEI PAK of the Manor L’amore. PAK enjoys challenging others to fight, and has learned many kinds of Martial Arts. He challenges the TWIN DRAGONS and bets them the Immortality Routine. The TWIN DRAGONS lose and lend him the Routine.

NING notices that the TWIN DRAGONS have hugely improved at Levitation Art and asks them the reason. CHUNG tells her that LING’s dream lover HUEN has taught them the Flying Art. He takes the chance to tell NING his feelings which shocks her. MAN sends FAT, who has served the Li Clan for years, to deliver a letter to NING. He wants her to negotiate an alliance with the Vice Leader of Nga Kong Army LI MUT in order to defend against TO FUK WAI. NING and CHI set off in quest of MUT. CHUNG worries about NING and follows them with FAT. The negotiation between MUT and NING fails. He takes her hostage to blackmail MAN. One of the generals of the Nga Kong Army LI CHING disapproves of MUT’s treachery, so he fights with the army for NING and CHI. CHUNG saves NING, but CHI has been held hostage by MUT. CHING turns against the Nga Kong Army and has nowhere to go now. FAT invites him to join the Li Clan.… ...

FA spreads a rumour that the TWIN DRAGONS bear the Immortality Routine. Hoping to rule the country, MUT tries to force the TWIN DRAGONS to hand it to him. He blackmails and tortures them. However, they make fun of him, which stimulates his paternal feelings. He forces them to call him father. In order to keep their life, the TWIN DRAGONS obey him. MUT finds out that PAK has the Immortality Routine, so he leads an army and the TWIN DRAGONS to the Manor L’amore. PAK challenges MUT to a fight and agrees to give him the Immortality Routine if he wins. After a chaotic fight, PAK wins. NING invites MUT to form an alliance with the Li Clan again. He finally agrees to her proposal due to her sincerity. PAK keeps his promise and returns the Immortality Routine to the TWIN DRAGONS the. Meanwhile, some images come out of the Routine. The TWIN DRAGONS refuse to tell him what they are to keep the secret of the Routine.

The TWIN DRAGONS and NING start their journey back to the Li Clan. On the way, CHUNG takes good care of NING and moves her. KWONG cuts off the food supply to the Li Clan. Many soldiers flee the camp, which bothers NING. SHIU bets the TWIN DRAGONS that the problem will be solved if they catch all the escaped soldiers. Unfortunately, the result is totally different. All the soldiers stand up against MAN. With SHIU’s help, the Li Clan manages to pay the heavy tax. FA finds out and lies to KWONG that the Li Clan has an alliance with MUT to overthrow the empire. He also points out that the LIs have secretly hoarded some weapons. KWONG orders FA to find the evidence. A weapons supplier, Tomei Clique, invites MAN and FA separately to its boat for a business meeting. MAN fears that FA will get hold of the account book and plans to steal it with NING. The TWIN DRAGONS meet SHUM LOK NGAN of the Roc Clique when they try to steal the account book.… ...

CHEUK’s sister FU KWAN YU takes charge of Tomei Clique in order to take revenge on FA for her sister’s death. The TWIN DRAGONS get hold of the account book, but they also trigger the trap. WAN saves them again. YU blows up the ship and attempts to kill FA, but fails. The TWIN DRAGONS give CHAK’s account book to NGAN. YU is determined to kill FA. He tries hard not to harm her. YUEN learns that KWONG intends to cut down the number of Clans to eliminate him, which worries NING. SHIU tries to persuade KWONG not to do it by offering his own savings. KWONG agrees for the huge income. SHIU hopes that MAN will let him marry NING. NING is shocked by the marriage announcement. Although she realizes that SHIU loves her, she loves CHUNG only. She agrees finally, though reluctantly, to marry SHIU for the family interest. CHUNG gives NING the Li Clan account book thinking that it will please her. He is shocked to learn about her wedding.

CHUNG and LING leave the Li Clan to accompany CHI back home. CHI tries but fails to please CHUNG. LING suggests showing KWONG the accounts book which proves FA’s private weapon purchase. CHI proposes to get help from KEUT’s friend Grand Secretary WONG SAI CHUNG. Together they head for Luoyang. CHUNG and CHI are an argumentative couple. They create a lot of fun on the journey. They even start liking each other. The TWIN DRAGONS visit SAI CHUNG, who refuses to take the risk and attempts to kill them. SAI CHUNG’s niece TUNG SHUK NI helps the TWIN DRAGONS and brings them to see KWONG. FA thinks that SAI CHUNG opposes him when he sees him with the TWIN DRAGONS. The TWIN DRAGONS show KWONG the evidence of FA’s aggression. KWONG is furious. Meanwhile, FA leads his army to surround the palace. The TWIN DRAGONS fight with FA to protect KWONG. Finally, KWONG is taken hostage and LING is seriously injured.

WAN saves LING and takes care of his injury. FA holds KWONG hostage and moves south. He camps in Jiangdu. SAI CHUNG takes over Luoyang and they form two opposing forces. KWONG loses his ground. YUEN claims to be emperor under MAN’s encouragement. LING sees WAN’s kindness after staying with her for a while and they become friends. WAN asks the TWIN DRAGONS where the Grand Wizard Tomb is. She explains that she needs to find her master CHUK YUK YIN’s lover, the Grand Wizard SHEK CHI HIN. The TWIN DRAGONS tell her that they don’t know where the tomb is and they have only seen images of it in the Immortality Routine. LING loves HUEN. He is not moved by WAN’s care. WAN is jealous of HUEN and hurts LING seriously. Thinking that he is dying, he asks HUEN to unveil her face, which is against her Shifu’s rules. HUEN tells the TWIN DRAGONS that an intellectual, LO MIU TSZ, may save LING.… ...

TSZ has been in hiding from the Martial Realm and YIN for many years until the TWIN DRAGONS find him. He teaches CHUNG to initiate the Immortality Routine to cure LING. LING is grateful for his help. YIN guesses that TSZ is involved in the disappearance of HIN and the Grand Wizard Relic. So she forces TSZ to release HIN. Apparently, many years ago HIN’s inner force misfired. He did not want to kill to live, so TSZ designed a delicately guarded tomb to lock him in with the Relic. TSZ promised to keep it secret and did not tell YIN the truth. Although HUEN loves LING, she cannot accept him as she is a Lady Saint. LING does not blame WAN for hurting him. She feels guilty and loves him even deeper. TSZ gives the TWIN DRAGONS some routines, so that they can fight against YIN. They study them hard. TSZ’s daughter SHEUNG SAU SHUN owns the Flying Horse Ranch.… ...

SHUN thanks TO, who has come to buy some horses, for saving her. When the TWIN DRAGONS learn about TSZ and SHUN’s situation, they plan to help SHUN to overcome her hatred and love her father again. TSZ is very worried when he learns that SHUN has fallen off a horse. He asks TO to deliver some medicine to her. CHI is injured in an accident. CHUNG takes good care of her and pleases her. The TWIN DRAGONS and the others celebrate SHUN’s birthday. TSZ presents her with a gift which he has kept for many years. She is very moved and forgives him. TSZ knows that the TWIN DRAGONS are very intelligent. So he gives them the Book of Contraptions and the Book of Inventions. YIN comes to look for TSZ again. The TWIN DRAGONS fight with her. Meanwhile, the Shadow Assassin appears and kidnaps TSZ. He tries to force TSA to reveal where HIN is hidden. TSZ refuses and the Shadow Assassin sucks up all his inner force and kills him.… ...

SHUN is heartbroken to learn about TSZ’s death. The TWIN DRAGONS help to bury TSZ. LING follows HUEN back to the Mercy Retreat to explain why she unveiled herself. CHUNG has not given up hope on NING. He thinks that the reason why NING has agreed to marry SHIU is that she looks down on him. He swears to win her heart again by his deeds. CHUNG decides to join the Sung Clan. He presents KEUT with a horse. CHI mistakes that CHUNG has joined the Sung Clan for her. CHUNG gets drunk. He takes CHI for NING and holds her tight. CHI takes this as a gesture of love and is pleased. NING and SHIU are buying some battle horses from the Flying Horse Ranch. Suddenly, the Heterodox Realm Four Bandits show up and kidnap NING. CHUNG risks his life to save her when he learns of the news. NING feels awkward to see him again. She loves him even more after this incident but she is tied up by her marriage pledge.… ...

CHUNG and NING return to the Ranch safely. He cares for her very much which triggers SHIU’s jealousy. CHI is shocked that CHUNG is still in love with NING and realizes that she has mistaken his kindness all along. HUEN’s Shifu FAN CHING WAI scolds HUEN for breaking the rules. LING begs for her forgiveness. But HUEN swears to cut all connections with him. WAI knows that LING can help her find the Holy Relic, so she orders HUEN and another student LIU HUNG to accompany him to search for the Relic with the reason of preventing the Relic from causing chaos in case it is found. WAN stalks CHUNG and learns that the Relic is hidden in a cave. YIN gathers everyone from the Heterodox Realm to fight for it. CHUNG discovers that LING has gone into the cave to get the Relic, so he and CHI rush to meet him. YIN and FA fight for the Relic. CHUNG arrives and joins the fight. LING accidentally triggers a trap and the cave collapses.… ...

LING loves HUEN deeply. Although she is touched, she cannot accept him. CHUNG and LING meet are overjoyed to meet again. The TWIN DRAGONS and HUEN seek the Holy Relic again. They meet NGAN and her subordinate CHAN LO MAU whom CHAK is hunting. The TWIN DRAGONS ask MUT to help NGAN and he agrees. MUT’s boss CHAK YEUNG dislikes the secret alliance between MUT’s army and the Li Clan, so he plans to eliminate MUT. MUT manages to lose CHAK, and NGAN is grateful. YEUNG fears he will offend CHAK, so he decides to hand NGAN in. Luckily, the TWIN DRAGONS save her. MUT kills YEUNG with the help of the TWIN DRAGONS and takes over the Nga Kong Army. NGAN joins the Army to thank him. YIN discovers that the Relic she has is a fake. The TWIN DRAGONS realise then that TSZ has set up a plot to hide the real true location of the Grand Wizard Tomb. They leave HUEN and look for the Relic again. MAN and NING prepare to invade Chang’an and SHIU follows them.

MAN takes control of Chang’an without any bloodshed. The defending general LI HAU SHEUNG refuses to surrender and commits suicide. FA sends MING to attack the Nga Kong Fortress to eliminate its force near Jiangdu. Meanwhile, the TWIN DRAGONS help MUT to fight back. Using MUT’s army, the TWIN DRAGONS eliminate the Sea Sand Clique which works for FA. They convince one of the leaders, HUI HANG CHI, and some other followers to work for them. MUT thinks that he has converted the Sea Sand Clique to work under the Nga Kong Army, but he realises later that they only wanted to work for the TWIN DRAGONS. Therefore, he encourages them to set up a Twin Dragons Clique. FA kills KWONG and crowns a puppet emperor in Jiangdu. He changes the Dynasty to Wei. In order to get the Holy Relic to rule the Martial Realm, he waits for YU to lead him to find the TWIN DRAGONS.

When the TWIN DRAGONS set up rules for their clique, they place protection of citizens as the first rule. They want to settle people’s living before getting volunteers to join their clique. YU is kidnapped by FA shortly after she has met the TWIN DRAGONS again. FA demands they give him the Holy Relic in exchange for YU. With YU’s clues, the TWIN DRAGONS locate the Relic in Chang’an. They meet PAK on the way. PAK uses the pretext of helping them to find the Relic to follow them. WAN follows the TWIN DRAGONS and is found out by PAK. When they are fighting, PAK’s real identity as a member of the Heterodox Realm is revealed. PAK leaves. WAN finds an excuse to accompany the TWIN DRAGONS to Chang’an. YIN spreads a rumor that the Relic lies in Chang’an to the whole Martial Realm. The TWIN DRAGONS find out that the Relic is inside the Yeung Treasure Trove. When they reach the Trove, they find lots of gold and weapons.… ...

MAN confiscates all the gold and weapons to pay his force. The TWIN DRAGONS find the real Grand Wizard Tomb under a pond. They open the Tomb with the Immortality Routine to release the Relic’s force. However, they also resurrect HIN who has been frozen for years. HIN takes away the Relic, only to learn that seven tenth of its force have already been soaked up by the TWIN DRAGONS. The Shadow Assassin is HIN’s student YEUNG HUI YIN, who has sought HIN for many years. They are both overjoyed to see each other again. The TWIN DRAGONS’ inner force misfires. CHUNG becomes irritable and hurts himself. CHI protects him with her own body. NING witnesses everything. HUEN begs WAI to save the TWIN DRAGONS on any conditions. WAI sends her to meditate. YIN still loves HIN. However, HIN is angry at her involvement in the death of his wife BIK SAU SUM who was a Lady Saint. YUEN is crowned in Chang’an.… ...

FA transfers his love for CHEUK onto YU. Cannot bear to kill her, he lets her go. YU encourages the TWIN DRAGONS to develop their political stands with the Immortality Routine. CHUNG swears to fight for the throne, but LING disagrees. So they go their separate ways to pursue their own dreams. HUEN guesses that WAI has forbidden her to get involved in love because of SUM and HIN. She investigates the issue with LING. CHUNG meets NING when he is buying some battle horses at the Flying Horse Ranch. He swears to take down Liangdu as a present to propose to YUEN. NING is touched by CHUNG’s determination but has to hide her feelings because she does not want to hurt CHI. SHIU suggests bringing the wedding forward in fear of losing NING. MAN handles him and encourages NING to pursue her true love. NING hesitates. LING and HUEN find the temple at which SUM and HIN used to live.… ...

HUI YIN wants HIN to practice the Eternal Seal Routine to restore the prestige of the Flower Clique. HIN misses his daughter and his kindness expels the Routine. WAN ambushes HIN. LING reveals her true identity. YIN confirms what LING said is true. HIN and WAN are happy to be together again. YIN is sorry for seducing him which made him kill SUM by accident. Although he hates her, he forgives her because she has been taken care of WAN. CHUNG understands that NING has come to the Ranch just to hide from SHIU. He encourages her to cancel the arrangement. She wants to split up with SHIU, but he keeps hiding from her. CHI helps CHUNG to make a model of NING’s dream house. NING thinks that they are in love. SHIU’s servant LONG has put some poison into CHUNG’s wine without SHIU’s consent. Having drunk some of the wine, CHUNG points a sword at SHIU thinking that he wants to kill him. NING shows up out of nowhere to protect SHIU.… ...

CHUNG has become very aggressive under the influence of the Holy Relic. LING is worried. NING does not want to owe CHUNG anything, so she returns the control of Liangdu to the local people. CHI puts her royal identity behind her and takes care of CHUNG like a serving maid. He understands her intention. He does not want to tell her his feelings even though he likes her. He would like to send her home, but she refuses. MAN, SAI CHUNG and FA form three opposing powers. In order to expand the Twin Dragons Clique, CHUNG decides to work under SAI CHUNG. HIN reappears in the Martial Realm leading the Heterodox Realm Six Cliques. LING tries to stop him from doing any harm and plans to eliminate him. HUEN disagrees with his plan and hopes to reform him by influencing him subtly. HUI YIN suddenly appears when HUEN nearly convinces HIN to hand over the Holy Relic.… ...

HUEN is shocked that she is the Grand Wizard’s daughter. CHING WAI wants to disable her inner force to prevent her subconscious evil spirit from doing any harm to the Martial Realm. HUNG stops her in time. Eventually, CHING WAI agrees to let her control her evil spirit with her will. NI helps CHUNG to persuade SAI CHUNG to receive him. SAI CHUNG’s son WONG YUEN YING knows that CHUNG is using their power to expand the Twin Dragons Clique. SAI CHUNG has made up his mind. HUEN refuses to admit to be HIN’s daughter, which hurts him. MUT attacks Luokou. SAI CHUNG sends CHUNG to fight the battle to test his loyalty. CHUNG does not want to hurt MUT and is lenient with him. NGAN pretends to negotiate with CHUNG, but in fact tries to delay the battle and waits for the Li Clan’s help. MAN sends SHIU to lead the army to help MUT. NING accompanies him, as it is his first battle. CHUNG feels bad about fighting with NING.

SHIU is seriously injured by CHUNG. He has to retreat temporarily. NING knows that she cannot beat CHUNG, so she uses a plot to attack SAI CHUNG. CHUNG persuades MUT to pull out from the battle. He tells him that he is not working for SAI CHUNG. Instead, he is only using his army to expand his power. SAI CHUNG praises CHUNG for protecting the city and gives him a vote of confidence. NING invites MUT to join the Li Clan when his ground is taken by FA, and he agrees. YU fails to assassinate FA and is adducted. FA forces her to accept him by confining her. HUEN’s evil spirit is unleashed. She hurts LING, but he hides it from CHING WAI in case she might punish her. HIN misses HUEN and cannot concentrate on practicing his heterodox routine. HUI YIN meets YIN to discuss the situation. YIN devises a plot to make HIN kill HUEN. Luckily, CHING WAI saves her.… ...

HUEN cannot accept that she is the Grand Wizard’s daughter. She leaves the Mercy Retreat without letting anyone know. WAN claims that she knows where HUEN is and LING follows her to find HUEN. FA does whatever he could to please YU, but she still rejects him. CHUNG wins a major battle in Luohou. SAI CHUNG presents him with a thousand liang of gold. Although SAI CHUNG knows that CHUNG will be a big help, he fears that he might turn his back to him and day, and is cautious. CHUNG shares the gold with the soldiers to buy their loyalty. He also pleases NI deliberately to gain SAI CHUNG’s trust. HANG CHI has improved the living condition of Liangdu and has won the people’s hearts. CHUNG combines the volunteers from Liangdu and the followers of the Twin Dragons Clique to form a massive army – Young Marshal Army. After hurting HUEN by accident, HIN unleashes HUEN’s evil spirit. He decides to learn the Eternal Seal Routine.… ...

HUEN freezes herself to suppress her evil spirit. LING is heartbroken, thinking that she is dead. WAN tries to rouse her by attacking LING. HUEN accidentally injures WAN. NI thinks that CHUNG has given her Liangdu to show her his love. CHI denies it. HANG CHI understands that CHUNG has lied about it because he cares about CHI. He even claims that he does not want to get involved in love any more. Having learnt that CHUNG wants to overthrow him, SAI CHUNG plots to marry NI to him to CHUNG, believing that he can put CHUNG under control this way. CHI is sad to find out about CHUNG’s wedding. Not long after, she learns that CHUNG is just pretending to please NI to take over SAI CHUNG’s power. CHUNG does not want to hurt NI’s feelings, so he challenges SAI CHUNG. LING treats WAN’s injury. She tells him her feelings again. They lose control and kiss. CHUNG is surrounded. NI covers him to let him escape.… ...

Meanwhile, HIN has mastered the Eternal Seal Routine and plans to lead the Heterodox Realm to take over the Martial Realm. His Eternal Seal Routine triggers the orthodox spirit of the He Shi Jade. According to legend, the jade can suppress the evil power of the Grand Wizard. Whoever has it can rule the world. HIN and LING both want it. YAT SUM finds the jade. Having MAN manage the Imperial Court for him, YUEN can go traveling now. NI succeeds in seducing YUEN. YAT SUM disappears with the He Shi Jade. CHING WAI guesses that he has seen the prophecies inside the jade and is meditating. CHI has gone to Yangzhou, where she first met CHUNG to re-live the good times they had together. She loses her purse and ends up wandering on the street. MAN goes undercover to spy in FA’s territory. He meets CHI there and she is glad to leave the street. CHUNG overcomes his arrogance to look for CHI. He is jealous when MAN is intimate with her. She uses MAN to annoy CHUNG, but he pretends to be calm. MAN has loved her for a long time, but knows that she loves CHUNG. MAN exposes the fact that CHUNG loves CHI, but he denies it.

FA expects that CHUNG will turn his back to him, so he discusses with CHI KAP on how to fight back. FA and YU bet over a chess game. If she wins, he has to free her. After being together for a long time, she starts to like him. HIN kidnaps everyone from the Mercy Retreat and tries to kill them all, but WAN arrives in time and saves them. NI gets close to YUEN to take revenge on CHUNG for abandoning her. She believes that CHUNG has cancelled their wedding for NING; she hates her even more. YUEN has always been attracted by NI’s beauty and so decides to take her as his imperial concubine. CHUNG tries to get bolder by drinking some wine before he proposes to CHI. Nevertheless, seeing that he is drunk, she believes that he is not serious and so leaves in anger. CHI reunites with KEUT. SZE TO asks her how her relationship with CHUNG is going. CHUNG arrives at the Sung Clan to look for CHI. KEUT stops him and demands to have a fight with him. CHUNG can see CHI only if he wins. CHUNG is defeated by his Celestial Eight Form Broad Sword. CHUNG pleads to have another fight on another day. He is hurt by KEUT which worries CHI. She urges SZE TO to visit CHUNG and teach him how to fight against KEUT. Apparently, KEUT was testing CHUNG to see how much he loves CHI. He is very satisfied with him and so allows him to go out with her. NING knows that NI is making things difficult for her, so she tries to be careful with her. FA wants to keep YU around and does not want her to win the chess game. She is annoyed at being detained. LING and HUEN are ambushed by the Shadow Assassin. Fortunately PAK saves them in time. PAK wants to help them to find the He Shi Jade. CHING WAI thinks that he bears a malicious motive. LING is grateful to WAN for secretly protecting him.… ...

CHING WAI has found YAT SUM, who has achieved nirvana already. She manages to talk to his remaining spirit though, and finds out where the He Shi Jade is. She is horrified to see the prophecies projected by the Jade. YU has fallen for FA, so she uses the Faux Death Routine to block her feelings. CHUNG and CHI are together at last. KEUT is delighted to have him as his son-in-law. CHUNG proposes to borrow KEUT’s army to attack the Li Clan and confront FA’s army. KEUT supports him. In fact, CHUNG uses the attack as an excuse to take revenge on FA for CHEUK. FA challenges the Li Clan. SHIU is assigned to fight with him. FA is expected to be defeated and so he asks CHUNG to help him. MUT reprimands CHUNG for fighting against SHIU. Unexpectedly, CHUNG asks him not to fight. MUT does not get it and suspects that there must be some goings-on. FA sends an assassin to kill SHIU and puts the blame on CHUNG.… ...

NING is heartbroken that SHIU is killed. MAN swears to take revenge for him. CHING WAI fears the Jade’s prophecies will come true. However, she learns how to deal with it after talking to YAT SUM. She decides to have an ultimate fight with HIN. She passes her position as leader of the Mercy Retreat to HUEN and leaves alone. HUI YIN tells HIN that WAN works with LING to stop them from looking for the Jade. YIN defends her. HIN forces CHING WAI to give him the Jade. She refuses and is killed. CHUNG wants to withdraw his army to avoid direct contact with MAN’s army. When he is surrounded, he loses control over his evil spirit and kills many of MAN’s soldiers. LING is not afraid of the Jade’s prophecies. He is determined to find the Jade to suppress HIN and CHUNG’s evil spirit. NING feels there is something suspicious about SHIU’s death and so she looks for CHUNG to find out the truth.

MAN worries about NING’s safety, so he leads an army to rescue her. NING believes that CHUNG is not implicated in SHIU’s death. To avoid conflicts between him and MAN, she takes the risk to help his army retreat. CHI thinks that NING is still in love with CHUNG; her relationship with CHUNG is put to the test. LING gets hold of the He Shi Jade. It shows images of MAN and CHUNG fighting. CHUNG cares for NING, whose husband has recently died, making CHI think that they are in love again. MAN meets CHUNG and they have conflicts again; LING stops them. CHUNG explains to CHI his relationship with NING, but she believes that he cannot get over her. LING tries but fails to exorcise CHUNG’s evil spirit using the He Shi Jade. CHUNG nearly kills LING when he is hallucinating. HUEN is organizing a meeting for the whole Martial Realm. She tries to fight against the Heterodox Realm with the joint power of the Orthodox Realm.… ...

HIN and YIN plan to destroy the He Shi Jade at the Martial Realm meeting. WAN learns about the plan and tries to alert LING, but YIN stops her. They end up having a fight. WAN chooses to leave YIN for LING. YIN has no choice but to let her go. CHI is upset; MAN tries hard to please her. HIN orders to kill all Sui Dynasty descendants. HUI YIN is furious, as he is one of them. HIN has promised that he would help HUI YIN regain his power, but what HUI YIN has done disappoints him greatly. NI suggests that YUEN should crown SHING as prince. MAN is disappointed. CHI finally gives up on CHUNG and decides to marry MAN. HIN is locked inside a brass temple when he tries to fight for the Jade. HUI YIN suddenly appears when LING and HUEN are exorcising his evil spirit. He shows up to get the Jade to resurrect the Sui Dynasty, but WAN stops him. WAN reveals that HUI YIN none other than PAK. HIN is shocked HIN’s conscience reappears.

HIN’s evil spirit has been exorcised with the help of the He Shi Jade. He misses his wife and daughter and is ashamed of what he has done. HIN stays at the temple to meditate, hoping that he can reunite with HUEN when he resolves his own conflicts. HUEN shows him her support. YU, who is in Faux Death, is deeply moved by FA’s love. When she is about to wake up, FA and CHUNG have a fight. FA is seriously injured and dies in YU’s arms. CHI agrees to marry MAN to pull CHUNG and NING together. She encourages NING to accept CHUNG again. MAN understands that CHI still loves CHUNG and urges her to reconsider their marriage. YIN asks HIN to love her again, but fails. She is ready to die with him when HUI YIN takes him away. She dies for nothing. WAN takes over the Femina Clique and joins the Orthodox Realm. HUEN asks WAN to look for HIN and she agrees.

HUI YIN has absorbed all HIN’s Grand Wizard Inner Force and becomes the Supreme Wizard. Although HIN has lost all his power, he is very calm mentally. Finally, he decides to become a monk and retreat from the Martial Realm. HUI YIN forces SHING to work with him to take the throne. He offers to eliminate MAN for him in return. MUT learns that SHING has a deal with the Heterodox Realm, so he is planning to report it to YUEN. However, SHING kills him first by a frame-up. MAN is involved in this and exiled from Chang’an. NING follows him. CHUNG is heartbroken when he learns about MUT’s death. He wants to take revenge on SHING, but is stopped by LING. CHUNG loses his conscience under the influence of his evil spirit. LING and HUEN try to force it out of his body by using the He Shi Jade. When they are working hard, the Jade shows some images of the TWIN DRAGONS dying at the Xuanwu Gate.… ...

The TWIN DRAGONS beat HUI YIN. MAN thanks them for their help and becomes friends with them. WAN sends more people to look for HUI YIN. MAN decides to rebel against SHING. NING invites CHUNG to help, but he refuses because he has promised KEUT to fight against the Li Clan. MAN plans to invade the TWIN DRAGONS’ base ground – Luoyang. NING tries to persuade him not to, but fails. CHUNG proposes to MAN to have a mock fighting hoping that will scare him off. But they draw. NING asks CHI to help settle MAN and CHUNG’s conflicts. CHI persuades KEUT to free CHUNG from his promise. KEUT thinks that SAU SHUN and TO make a good couple, so he pulls them together. NING and CHI use tricks to persuade CHUNG to help MAN fight for the throne instead of trying to be the emperor himself. Both NING and CHI free themselves from the moral restraints. They both love CHUNG and are waiting for his decision.

MAN is delighted to receive CHUNG’s letter proposing an alliance. He is now more confident of becoming the emperor. SHING reports MAN’s rebellion to YUEN, who is doubtful. SHING and KAT set up a plot and invite MAN and the TWIN DRAGONS to meet at the Xuanwu Gate with the excuse of settlement, but plan to ambush them with the Heterodox Realm’s power. The TWIN DRAGONS and MAN are fighting SHING and KAT when HUI YIN suddenly appears. HUI YIN is defeated and killed. NI asks NING and CHI to a meeting to stop them from helping the TWIN DRAGONS. MAN is nearly killed by SHING and the TWIN DRAGONS save him. Finally, the TWIN DRAGONS kill SHING and KAT. YUEN is devastated to learn of his sons’ death. He is even more furious when MAN forces him to step down from the throne. NI wants to take revenge on MAN; she persuades YUEN to order MAN to kill the TWIN DRAGONS.

YUEN is heartbroken for SHING and KAT’s death. He wants to punish MAN, but to avoid any more battles he agrees to step down, on the condition that MAN has to kill the TWIN DRAGONS to avenge his sons’ death. MAN is in a dilemma as he wants to be the emperor, but he does not want to hurt his friends who have helped him. MAN invites the TWIN DRAGONS to have tea at the Xuanwu Gate. They are not afraid of death anymore and face the He Shi Jade’s prophecies bravely. They say goodbye to their lovers before the meeting. MAN kills them at the Xuanwu Gate as told by YUEN. In the same year, MAN is crowned emperor and guides the Tang Dynasty into a golden era.
