"Great history and personal history cannot exist without each other” considers Péter Nádas (A Book of Memories, Parallel Stories). At the end of the 1970s, he embodied the new Hungarian literature. His sharp eye scans a wide range, from seriousness to mischief. Péter Nádas displays intense sensitivity, which translates into his books as unruly narration, haunted by the idea of chaos.
